Enjoyable read overall, ending a bit predictable
Enjoyable read overall, but the ending felt a bit predictable and slightly over the top. The story starts strong and keeps you engaged, but the final twist don’t really surprise. an ok thriller if you’re looking for something quick and entertaining.

This book was a fantastic read, I’ve always loved Lisa Jewell she’s an incredible writer and this book was another great story from her. I couldn’t put this down and every twist and turn made me want to keep going. I loved every second of reading this book.

Survivor
Having ‘ let him in’ twice in my life and escaped with scars from both encounters, there is neither justice, nor closure in reality that would satisfy a reader.
Your denouement of the havoc these people can bring mentally, physically and spiritually was wide of the mark. The damage is greater and longer than you showed and not just motivated by finance.
It is a cycle of personal abuse that changes the victim, for better or for worse. Hopefully your book will be a warning.
