Oh, Sir Terry, you marvel.
Relentlessly good. Sir Terry P's most enduring skill was arguably the ability to build parodies of the real world and its features into his works. I'd love to try to count how many topics, people, organisations, places and/or cultures he in some sense depicts (and, usually, gently mocks) in this book. It'd be a high number.
A note of caution: one of the wonderful things about this book is how many themes and threads it pulls together from previous Discworld books. It's a rightful occupant of the final spot on the list. If you're new to Discworld, don't start here. Read the others first: it's worth the wait.
