This is the digital edition which was originally published in 2001 as a hard cover book. It is dealing with design, construction and maintenance of railway track. Attention is paid to fundamental aspects, conventional track, slab track, high-speed, heavy haul, tram and metro. The book is used world wide by universities, railway administrations, engineering firms, consultants and individual engineers. From the paper version about 4,000 copies were sold. Modern Railway Track was also published in Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Other languages are under preparation.
