Ruining by Performance Issues & Ads

I love this game, I’ve been playing it for years, as the reviews from 5 years ago tell you, it’s fantastic!

However, year on year, performance has been getting worse. No disagreement here that the tasty graphics and animations all look great, but do there have to be so many? Especially in the backgrounds of levels and maybe cut a few in the level select? It looks like that’s having a significant impact on loading speed. I counted 8 seconds as the fastest and an excruciating 20 sec wait for the upgrades screen. Glitches have also been increasing year on year. Now the sound and screens going out of sync, freezing levels and all out app crashes are common place. In 30mins I had 3 glitches, and now I only get about 20m on average before the app crashes.

Yes, the forced ads between every 2-3 levels are irritating, but idk, maybe that’s what you have to do to keep the game free. ( although I’d rather pay you for no ads). Maybe there was an option, I’ll look again.

But guys, I’m coming at this from the pov of someone who really wants to play this game, I suspect others are going to lose patience really quick or give up on the app crashes all together. You might not be able to continue without ad funding, but surely the performance can be looked into? The animations don’t need to be so long or so numerous if you can’t reduce the file sizes. The loading speed is going to start losing ppl.

I used to absolutely love playing this game. I have completed all the levels of all the cities, except one which there is a technical issue with. I have contacted support TWICE, 1st August and 6th August. They say they will respond with. 72 hours! It’s been two weeks and I’ve not had the courtesy of a response. Really disappointed in Big Fish games. If you are thinking of getting this game, do not bother. You will spend a lot of time - and money on the game, only to be ignored when you have an issue, and trust me you will have issues with the game.

I love this game BUT finding it very frustrating on the Paris level. The timer starts counting down before any customers enter so it means you run out of time needing to use spoons to “buy” more time. Such an amazing game. Unfortunately, they have not fixed the issue with Facebook friends. I must have over 100 friends but only 5-7 appear in my friends’ list in the game. What is more frustrating is that the number of friends that appear under the “give lives” tab are more than those who appear under the “ask for lives” tab. So I can give but I cannot take as much!!! I tried connecting and disconnecting Facebook, I tried switching my iPhone on and off countless times, but all my efforts were in vain. Such a shame for a well-designed game. This is arguably, one of the best games I’ve played on my phone or tablet. I started playing at the start of lockdown and it really helped me pass the time through those dark days.

I’ve noticed a lot of people saying that it’s imposssible to play unless you spend real cash, but that is simply, not true.

I’ve completed every level of every restaurant up to, Singapore. And the only time I spent real money was to buy the VIP ticket for the ‘Tasty Tours’.

Does the game have its flaws? Of course it does. You would be hard pushed to find a game that doesn’t.

I’m now patiently waiting on more cities to be added. Hopefully I won’t be waiting long.

I have been playing this game for about 4 years and I’m upset about the developers greed for money. Instead of winning 3 spoons, 2 spoons and then 1 spoon to complete a trio of levels now you only can win 1 spoon. Also the chilli levels are impossible to complete unless you use an upgrade - forcing you to use spoons! I fortunately haven’t used any money on the game yet as I save my spoons but I don’t think it’s fair. I’d rather buy the game outright and have no adverts than have all these useless upgrades.

It’s a very entertaining game. I started playing when lockdown started and I am now up to date with the latest city. I like that the game brings out extra events and tournaments everyday, however I can only play the tournaments in the latest city.

It would be better if you could enable it on all cities so that there is a little variety in the game. It gets a little boring playing the same city over and over again to get ahead in tournaments. I think you may have done it once before and it was great, so please look into enabling this option permanently. Thanks!

I love this game so much. The graphics are excellent and it is easy to learn but challenging at the same time.

Unfortunately I have now got to the point where I have completed every city and so I’m constantly waiting for new cities to be added. There are the bonus rounds like Drive Ins and Food trucks which mean I can keep playing but the new cities are best.

I have never spent any money on spoons at all, I agree with some of the other reviewers that some levels are impossible without a boost but many just require practice and patience. You will get addicted!

Loved this game when I first started playing it very easy and enjoyable and lots of fun levels to choose from! However once I ran out of spoons and coins I had no money to upgrade any of my stuff as well as having no spoons for the boosts!! This is very frustrating as not everybody has money to throw around just for a game. Also the thing I’m mainly annoyed about is I tried to get some spoons with the free spoons button and it says if you do offers you win spoons I did 2 surveys and got most of the questions right and did not win so no spoons but even worse than that one of the offers says if you start a starplayz free trial you get quite a lot of spoons I was very excited and went ahead with it however ended up receiving no extra spoons at all after I did a free trial which I had to cancel!! Sort this out please I

I have played this game most days for the last 6 months. I have reached Rio and haven’t spent any money so it is possible if you are patient, wait for the daily free gifts and keep doing the daily tasks to win extra bonuses, etc.

I agree with the double tap to dispose - caught me out a couple of times too! Maybe you could drag and drop the dish into the bin? And also the coins cannot be transferred to other levels. The daily tasks often require you to go back to other cities to play and you earn coins in that city that can’t be transferred and spent in your current one. Bit frustrating to have thousands of coins sitting in New York that I can’t transfer to spend in Greece. Could be done perhaps with the added dimension of an exchange rate?

Despite this I would highly recommend this game as fun and entertaining. I always look forward to what the next restaurant/city will bring and the graphics are fun and bright.

In this game you visit different cities and learn to make new dishes. It has been fantastic and really is a good and interesting time pass.

I spent quite a bit of money to get through the game because I wanted to get to my favourite cities quickly.

I finally got to the new Delhi restaurant. And on the last restaurant there is a glitch where the game is unable to make the rava laddu, this means I can not continue through the levels as I am unable to serve the customers requesting the dish.

I have contacted support and they said this is a problem that people have complained about and they are working on it. They have asked me to give them as much detail as possible to help them

Fix this error however have not even offered to give me anything back in terms of money I spent on the city so far.

Overall I am extremely disappointed that I can’t play this game anymore especially after I spent hundreds on it. I used to look forward to sit down and play as it used to give me some

Peace of mind.

Until the glitch is fixed please do not

It’s a really fun game to play and runs fairly well. As some have mentioned, double tap to trash can be very annoying and cause you to accidentally lose lives.

I felt challenged getting through the first part of the map...but once I reached Paris, of course, none of the coins I spent so long earning carried over. This wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t SO HARD to earn coins to upgrade your kitchen in Paris? I probably replayed the same 5 levels (earning as little as 50 coins at a time) thousands of times for just the smallest little upgrade which was still causing me to lose levels as I got to 10-15.

Unlike most games, this game has been very generous with how many spoons are given out... but there is no way of earning more coins by watching ads or any other means so I grew tired of trying to level up very quick. Please add more ways to gain coins.

This is a very fun and addictive game however there are some improvements..

For example, I think there should be more spoons rewarded for each level as it is very hard to progress without buying the spoons, which can be a pain.

I also think the way of disposing the food is also very annoying, as the mistake of double tapping can lead to you failing a level. It’s happened to me many times, so I think perhaps there could be some other way of disposing of those items.

I only give this game 3 stars as it is almost impossible to complete certain levels and gain that amount of money within the time given, like 80 seconds to earn over 1,000 coins, really? I think there could possibly be more time during the levels, and also make it so that you don’t have to buy more time, you get like 3x 30 seconds or something like that.

Personally, I do like the app I think it’s really fun game, I just think it’s quite impossible.

Well thought of game and really enjoyed it at the start but somewhere along the line the developer started thinking about grabbing money, money, money and more money that has taken the fun out of the game. I have already spent so much and you feel like you get nothing for it. Even replaying levels for coins it’s impossible without purchasing spoons regardless of how quick you are. Seconds are wasted by not giving you the customers on time, it’s become very hard and impossible to progress without spending money. That’s why cooking fever remains the best cooking game. At least you can keep earning coins from the different restaurants to upgrade new once. Developer of this game really need to think about the player experience more and NOT just money.

I started playing last week and I’m in Rome now. I must say it was excellent at first and highly addictive but the more I have progressed, the more difficult it’s becoming. What I mean by that is the need to use spoons to get through levels. What bothers me is replaying levels to get coins. Those levels are fully upgraded and were passed in the first place but when I go back to play them, all of a sudden I need to use boosts or spoons to pass them. That’s unfair as why would you need to use them when it’s fully upgraded and the levels had already been completed. Reading others reviews it looks like it will only get harder. I will not spend any more money so it looks like it may be yet another very enjoyable game that will be dumped because of the developers greed. Sad really as it started off so well. I doubt the developers really care at this point as they have probably made so much money already.

Hate that you can’t bank the unlimited mins of lives and use them when you have time to play Like in the morning when I’m about to go work I don’t have chance to play for an hour so it’s lost and unsure. If this game had a banking kinda system it would be the best game out there. Hate that it bins things easily. Also hate the levels of the correct dish the green circle ones so annoying because you get used to being so quick sometimes you automatically on accident press the wrong dish.

I’ve been really enjoying playing cooking craze, it’s simple and well executed and just difficult enough to be challenging. That being said the update to include the St Patricks day event is ridiculously hard. I’ve completed the first 10 levels and, unlike the main game, if you fail a level it makes you drop back to the last checkpoint (levels 5, 10, 15, etc) It’s now extremely difficult to pass even one level let alone 5 at a time without paying to buy boosts. I get it that developers want to make money but I feel like I’ve been held to ransom and it’s really putting me off playing any more. Seriously sort it out, yeah make the events challenging but not impossible to complete without boosts!!!

This game is amazing. Yes you can pay to get spoons and boosts but you really really do not need to. Just log in every day and get the bonuses for completing quests. There are plenty of special events where you can win boosts as well. Some levels are challenging but then the game would be boring if it was easy to pass every level. You win lots of coins to buy the upgrades for the equipment in the shop. If you need extra coins to upgrade a machine or item to pass a level you can play bonus shifts of levels you have already passed to earn more coins. Really good value and very fun to play. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys time management games.

I find the game and concept behind the game fun & enjoyable, however on some levels I find it impossible to pass! I run out of customers on many occasions, even when I am fast and getting full coins for the purchase, I still don’t have enough to move forward and are forced to purchase spoons to pay for 3 extra customers! If the customer doesn’t want a combo then the less coins you get, but there should be enough to pass the level! Especially if you are hitting the order fast enough. All my customers were full green and I was still 2 customers short!

I know a lot of reviews are saying about having to buy spoons to progress and to be fair, early on, so did I. However as I’ve progressed through they have been a lot more generous with spoons. I now have built up loads. If you add friends, it gives you extra time on those difficult levels for free without paying for spoons and remember to make use of the free cupcakes. These are renewed in time if you can wait it out. It’s worth making friends via the facebook page. (I have set them to limit what they can view on my profile though).

The game is really good. The bonus levels are fun, the levels can be challenging. But sometimes you are forced to use your bonuses (like spoons and so on) and sometimes they are not enough - and sometimes when you use the “extra 3 guest” only one comes.

One other big but is that I always have to wait to get the upgrade with the new “world” that is usually at the beginning of the month. But this time I’ve finished “Istanbul” with all 3 stars (like all the other worlds) and still no sign of the new world. When is the new one coming out? By the way, the “Christmas world” was way to short and they should be developed like any other world, so 3 plays per level and the possibility of upgrading with the money you earn.

This is a great game and highly addictive but since I got to Copenhagen it’s clear that making money is way more important than the gaming experience. So many of the levels can only be won by using boosts. I spent hundreds of spoons just get through it. This has left me feeling cheated. I’ve never had to do that in any other city, including Dublin!! There was a lack of timed levels and where you had to get a certain amount of coins with a limited number of customers I found so many levels where it was impossible without the price doubler - if you have upgraded all of your equipment and got maximum combos and still can’t achieve it that’s extortion!!

Istanbul is appearing to be exactly the same but this time I won’t be spending a penny and would rather delete the game. I am struggling to get past level 20 at the minute and as this is such an awful restaurant with way to many cooked elements and dish compilations i don’t care.

Come on developers stop being greedy. I don’t mind spending some money to get through the odd level but having to buy boosts to get through every level is not right.

Highly addictive. Similar to meth I’d imagine.

I cannot stop playing this game. I’ve now been playing since the beginning of July and it’s now mid October. I have no issues with this game apart from some levels it’s just physically impossible to beat the timer. You have to serve like x amount of customers in 30 seconds or something. Your stuff just doesn’t cook quick enough and you end up having to use boosts or spoons. Doesn’t happen often enough for it to be a major issue tho. I’m also stuck on a level now (the marzipan cat level) and because you have nowhere to put your eggs, you have to time them just right to make sure they don’t burn. But they take too long to cook on this level to just wait until the orders are placed because all the customers are impatient ones. I’m pulling my hair out. Please make sure there are plates for everything!

I always have an abundance of spoons which makes the game considerably more enjoyable than other games with limited resources and lives. The perks of infinite time are great too.

This is what keeps me interested in the game. It’s hard enough to not be boring but easy enough to not give up and never play again.

Great game overall. It runs my life lol

...some of the levels are way too hard to complete without using boosts! I’m stuck at the beginning of the Paris section, and although I’ve upgraded most of the food/appliances, there are some levels where it is impossible to finish because you have to reach 400+ coins or so, with 3/4 customers, but the customers just buy drinks. So I can never manage to earn enough coins. And I refuse to pay for extra spoons and coins, etc.

The game is becoming unplayable now, which is a shame because it can be fun. Please fix the game and stop having extra shift levels from changing their customer numbers! (Level 8 in Paris expects you to get 110 coins with 3 customers...who just buy drinks...are you kidding me?!).

This is the best game I’ve played in a long time. It gets more challenging and more fun as you progress and unlike a lot of other games you don’t need to spend real money to progress! You can still progress quickly without spending a penny and the game also isn’t full of adds or ‘energy’ that you have to spend money to remove/increase. I’m also surprised but how little the game drains the battery, I’ve spent hours on it and only had a decrease of 20% in battery life. Highly recommend. Well done to the creators fantastic game 👍🏽

I never write reviews but this is a good game to pass a bit of time! Some levels are challenging/frustrating but I think this goes for any game. I have not spent a penny on add-ons and I am on level 102 of Bangkok the 5th city so it can be done. The bonus levels are great for getting extra coins for upgrades and I think the spoons are easily built up if you don’t use them too much I save them and buy boosts for when I do get stuck I think this is better than using them to extend a failed level for extra time/customers.

It’s good that if you don’t have enough ‘spoons’ you can get more by going over levels to reach ‘the crown’ and get more currency and spoons. It’s great that you only have to tap the food etc to get it to move rather than having to drag it. I feel like I’m typing when I play as you can tap multiple items at the same time, so can use both hands. It’s easy to progress through without having to spend real money! Also I love all the different countries that you go too and feel I’m learning a bit about the food of those countries. Best time management game I’ve played.

I absolutely love this game and got totally addicted HOWEVER like a lot of other users I am now pretty fed up as I have got to a point where I am totally unable to progress without boosters. Customers walk in slowly and not enough come through the door to allow you to get enough positive ratings and serving all the customers quickly, having carried out ALL upgrades I cannot make enough money either.

I now have nearly 50,000 coins but I cannot use these for boosters or spoons only upgrades, all of which I have already purchased. Very frustrating. This game would be made fantastic if you could use your coins for upgrades AND spoons!

In addition, developers PLEASE get rid of the double click to trash! It’s so easily done by mistake!!!

Was a very good game, but after last update is just forcing you buy spoons!! Extremely difficult to pass levels or complete daily tasks now, and also to upgrade. Was much, much better. Now even and we lose we do make any money at all.... if carry on like that I will stop play, lost one more star for the amount of crashing, losing lives constantly you guys are really forcing to make us to spend money. I would prefer to pay to have the game from the begin.

Great game set up and interaction, a few levels where you can’t beat the clock on skill so you have to literally have to use upgrades, sometimes paid ones. Particularly the special events which don’t seem worth the capital investment.

After ignoring those they’ve now made the latest steak challenge part of the main game it’s very negative psychology certainly few of those levels you have to use a boost to win so feels like they’ve just got a bit greedy. Especially when there is a very negative picture comes up each time to say you’ve lost and you are forced to try again! That’s bad sales tactics 101. We’ll use negative language so they feel compelled to pay....assuming the players are too dumb to notice.

The arrogance put me off the game. They’ve had a decent return I understand it’s a business but now it’s brimming into greed!!!

Not a fix at all... you peeps just need to get better at it!

I think this is a great game, it is easily played and easy to operate. The fact that some ppl think it is fixed and that you can’t progress through the levels without purchasing spoons is a load of bull.... if you up your game and go back and repeat levels (as you are given the option to) you can these purchases for free by obtaining free spoons to buy boosts. I personally have never spent a penny on it and I am pin Prague currently.... I’ve been playing it on and off for the last year!

This game is great fun. I have spent (way too much) money on it but you really don’t need to, there are decent opportunities to earn rewards they just don’t build up very fast. I deducted a star because some of the levels are straight up impossible without spending ‘spoons’ - for example ones where you have to serve a certain number of customers within a set time and there just aren’t enough customers coming through the door. There are bonus levels to earn revenue but the patience level and burn speeds progress more quickly than the regular ones, they are impossible without boosts. But it’s varied, fast paced and totally addictive. Been playing for a few weeks and not bored yet.

I’m now on Moscow, the 9th city, having fully completed the previous 8. This means that as each level must be played 3 times to get a star I have played over 2,850 levels (not including the bonus levels, extra shifts and all of the times I have lost a level!).

Each day you receive free bonuses to help you through the game (spoons, power ups, coins etc), meaning it is entirely possible to get through the levels without spending any money, something other players have complained about having to do. Admittedly when I first started playing I did give in and buy a few spoons when I got stuck in Paris (the second city) but haven’t needed to since! Perseverance and patience will get you there. There are often bonus events that again offer power ups as prizes to get you through the levels.

This is honestly the best, and most expansive free game I have downloaded. It is fast paced (eventually when you are a few levels in to a new restaurant) and engaging. It doesn’t require you to spend money unless you’re totally impatient which makes it great for all ages. I hope I don’t get to the end before more restaurants are added!

The harder levels are absolutely rigged so you have to make in app purchases to get any further. I’ve played levels where you have to serve a certain amount of dishes in the given time, but there aren’t enough customers during that time to serve, so you have to buy more time at the end. And I’ve even had a situation where I bought 30 more seconds and even then there weren’t enough customers to reach the goal even though I was serving everyone fast enough. I don’t mind paying for what a game is worth - I’ve paid £10 for this game because that is what I would happily pay for it in a shop based on the gameplay and graphics. I don’t see why I should spend any more and I don’t think it’s fair that it’s rigged to make you spend more.

Are ridiculous and impossible past a certain stage as time limits 30 sec to make over 1500 id impossible no matter how many times u try even with boosts. Also i have started to find there are not enough customers or they haven't ordered enough to compete the level even without losing any customers and serving them all. Looks like you have joined the rest of the other games to make u spend more money. Also in the Ireland stage the cafes are not open so cant even do them to make extra money to upgrade my kitchen supplies. I guess thats so you make us spend spoons instead to upgrade. And you cut how many customers you can serve in them to so can only make a small amount. If the game carries on like this i will be deleting.

*edit* I had you on 3 stars with the changes but after playing for a few days and seeing how hard you have made the game, I am not interested in playing anymore. You have make some levels literally impossible to pass without using boosts. Doesn’t matter how much patience you have, how fast you are or how many times you try, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to pass Dublin levels without boosts. WHY?

I have been playing for a while now, have finished all the levels etc. What I dislike is that you have make some levels impossible to pass and someone MUST use boosts (ie fully upgraded with 5x combos on everything and I can’t raise enough coins to pass the level). Also I enjoy the endless levels - 10 mins were good enough now that you dropped it to 5 is really quick. Plus at some point the difficulty drops and you only serve one dish per customer so it’s boring. For someone who has completed all the levels all I got are the bonus levels but they are not fun anymore. Please fix

Used to absolutely love this game - the best cooking game I’ve found, can play it for hours

Then it stopped loading when I’d try to open the app. I tried multiple times over a couple of weeks to open the game but it would never load.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, which then deleted all of the data, requiring me to start again. I didn’t mind this as it meant I would get to play again! Yay! However, as I’m starting again, it’s still taking me through the tutorials but won’t allow me to actually click on the things it’s telling me to click on, meaning I can’t do the necessary steps to even start playing the game, let alone finish a level

Very disappointed and very sad to not be able to play this game any longer.

Hv been playing this game for quite a while now, and Hv been loving it, but I feel the sellers hv been making it more difficult to progress without you making in-app purchases. For example, you can now only accrue coins if you win the level, so you are never able to afford to ‘buy’ things in the ‘store’ that can help you into the next level. Also, you can do jobs in between, but even they are quite hard to do, so they don’t help you to earn your way to the next level. It’s a shame, because I’ve been stuck on a particular level for ages now, and am getting bored, so might just delete and move on to the next thing.

I really enjoy playing this game, love that there are so many different things happening and all different worlds to complete but I think needing spoons for mostly everything and only getting a small amount for each shift is annoying as it’s very hard to build them up, also when you pass something like a world or daily tasks you sometimes get awarded with infinite lives which automatically begin as soon as you win it, is a bit unfair as I think the player should be able to save them up for when they need them. Overall the game is great but because it takes so long to build spoons and money up it will eventually get boring, hopefully in the next update things are a bit different and made a bit better..

Absolutely love this game. It’s very addictive better than all the cooking games I’ve played. The only problem I have is that it says it does not require an internet connection which is great. So when I first downloaded the game it was completely fine but after a while it started taking ages to load and then when it did it wouldn’t allow me press on my levels to play them. I tried shutting down the app and reopening it but that hasn’t seemed to work :(. The game only seems to work when I’m connected to the WiFi or when I have data and still takes forever to load up once I open it. It’s also very annoying that once you move on to a new world your money doesn’t jump with you, so you have to start all over again when it comes to currency and makes it difficult to upgrade your kitchen at first and then you are left over with all this money on the old world that you can’t even spend or use it to upgrade anything... that is quite pointless.

I love this game so much, in my opinion you can progress without having to buy the spoons, the first 100 levels are good with just the right level of difficulty and when it gets tougher you just have to learn how to do it with going faster and serving dishes all at the same time to get bonus money. I don’t mind having to wait for my lives to refill as I just play other games whilst waiting. The graphics are so cute and for all the people whining about the in app purchases: it’s a free game people! With no adds! What do you expect?!

Edit: It’s completable with persistence and the right usage of the free spoons and cupcakes they give. Fantastic game!

I enjoy the game and play it a lot, however some of the ingredients are way too close together so you end up clicking on one thinking you have the correct one and then you end up losing the level because of it. Also, some of the levels, even when you do them perfectly with no mistakes, are impossible to do without spending spoons, which I refuse to buy, so I have to spend ages going through loads of older levels, some of which at this point are incredibly easy so are quite boring, to get enough spoons just to spend on that one level. Then that happens again a few levels later. It’s so frustrating especially when you’ve upgraded everything and you’re clicking as fast as you can on everything and you still can’t do the level!

Unfortunately I’ve completed all the current city and the next one just says coming soon, I need to know when it’s coming as I don’t know what to do with myself now lol I disagree with the people saying u have to buy spoons I haven’t needed to. I just build up the spoons on the lower levels then use them when I need them on the higher levels I currently have 215 spoons and haven’t paid for any of them. And when u need to upgrade things to make enough money to complete a level. Just go back and do all the extra shifts or bonus ones u can to earn enough to upgrade x

I love this game as it’s challenging enough to not lose interest but not impossible like the other cooking game I used to play where it required you to serve a certain number of a dish when the customers didn’t even request that many, so you could never win. I wasted so much money on that other game, but on this one I haven’t had to spend much at all, and really you could progress without spending any if you wanted, as each you get “fortune cookies” 1-4 gifts of coins, spoons, extra time, price doublers etc and you win spoons for each level too, so you’re very much in control of what you spend. The graphics are good, and as you cook your way round the world it’s interesting too. I would recommend this game to all ages, it’s fun!

I’ve played this game for awhile and I’ve done quite good at it after I had ago without logging into Facebook a second time round. The game is coded for you to not pass certain levels the first time. Anytime I am on a roll and passing them first time round I end up on a level with a lower goal than the previous but they give me less customers or less dishes which make it impossible even in a fully upgraded kitchen !!! Other than it’s a cheat. It’s a good fun and addictive game, I got my mom and my sister to play it and they seem to face the same problem as me and just stopped playing. But I’ve got nothing better to do at work so I’ve stuck to it 😂

First game ever I have said this about. I would’ve given it five stars if not for the fact that it becomes a little repetitive after you complete a level but have to complete the same level again in order to progress. It just gets boring after that seeing as you just want to move on and it starts to feel as though you’re just playing the same thing again and again and again.

Besides that, really good graphics and attention to detail. I like the way the ingredients changes after you upgrade.

And you can actually play the game completely without having to make purchases like so many other games.

I absolutely rate this game. It’s not ‘too’ addictive haha but it definitely keeps you entertained for hours. I don’t see the purchase element a problem, I have lots of spoons, none which I paid for, I just make sure I use my abilities strategically and they last forever. There are a few levels which are challenging and require you to play with skill as well as speed to get your combos up to pass it, but that’s what I enjoy!

You really don’t need to pay a penny to play if you play wisely and tbh, it’s such a well made game, if it came to it I wouldn’t mind paying the developers a few quid as it’s great!

Absolutely love the game, each level and restaurant brings fresh challenges. However like many other reviews two big issues:

1) costly - further on you go ( currently level 94 in Paris, the more and more levels are 'impossible' unless you purchase more time / customers - any spoons you earn soon run out meaning you have to pay for more. Ok on one or two levels but when every level needs them has come to point me giving up on the game. As suggested it is a shame more can't be done with coins - once you have fully upgraded kitchen - coins just amass doing nothing. Should be able to buy spoons with them.

2) double tapping to trash food!!! So annoying when you have nearly completed a level (at cost of many boosters) and you accidentally double tap trying to serve quickly. Would prefer something like dragging food to waste bin as would be less likely to do by accident. I dare say may delay progress doing so but rather that than keep losing by accident.

If the two above suggestions (both made previously by other users) were fixed would definitely rate 5 stars and continue playing.

This game is addictive and fun -yes! However the levels do not get harder, basically the game is coded to in order to make you avoid pass that level until certain statistical try - unless you want to purchase these spoons! Imagine this, I can not pass a level where I am supposed to collect certain amount of money from the customers but can't. So I upgrade the cost of an item at the restaurant. I was so annoyed that I counted the plates of the item I sold. And for more amount of plates I earned less money although that I item was supposed to cost 50% higher! Shame, really. No need to push for purchasing so hard. Funny enough, if you use the spoons to fill the lives, you will loose it until you use all your spoons.

I really enjoy playing this game it’s great fun and rather addictive but I am so disappointed that it isn’t a one-off payment game. I refuse to play into the trap of purchasing the ‘spoons’ which are necessary to make progress through the levels smooth running. It is possible to play without buying them although it is extremely frustrating as on new levels you soon run out of hearts ( chances ) and then have to wait before your lives are renewed over a 15-20 minute period. I’m sure Big Fish have plenty of takers for this kind of money- making game but I’m not one of them. What a shame, as I agree with other players who find it entertaining . It’s just the right level of challenging and the graphics are delightful. I am sure that the makers could still have made a fine profit had they have produced this as a series and charged for each. I would happily have gone along with that.

Great game but it's almost impossible to play without buying / using up tons of spoons. It's a shame because I'm really enjoying this game. It would be nice if we could actually buy the spoons with the money we've earned in the game. Not fair at all considering it's a game I love playing.

I'm also unhappy with this update. Why on earth have you changed the meat and fish level? It looks so horrible! I can't even play those levels anymore because they look so disgusting. I can't even tell what each food is! Please leave the appearance as it is ... please!!

Loved the game, addictive and fun, the only downfall is the timed modes, and the bonus level is very difficult, used all I had, went for ages thought I did very well but did not get any star, other than that great game xxx now have played for a couple of weeks, on level a hundred, the only frustrating thing now about the game is you have too many levels cooking the same thing, and in timed mode you just cannot do it unless you use everything you got, then you have to do it all over again 3 times to carry on, getting too monotonous now, PS I do not buy spoons, should be fun game without spending money, back again to finish review, got the hang of it now, getting better everyday on levels, love it xx
