Absolutely criminal play to win game, all started nicely with a good bit of fun. My last 10 games my opponent has got an eagle virtually every hole, I can hit the ball perfect and it just lands in the rough even if the line is nowhere near the rough, compete joke unless you want to spend an absolute fortune just avoid it, will be deleting now!

Golf clash has to be one of the most frustrating games out there. The game play is great & the variations in courses & holes is really good. That’s all I can say that’s positive.
The shots you play can be hugely inconsistent, identical to your opponent with a completely different outcome. You get paired against players of a much higher calibre in tournament leagues & you can’t compete with them unless you get lucky. Players can leave your clan mid season & your clan loses all the points that player built up. The game often crashes on start up & far too often in tournament gameplay. Support is very poor. The last few times I’ve tried to contact customer support the chat doesn’t connect & nobody replies through social media platforms. Very frustrating when you have an issue, although, to be honest, in the past when I did get through, they never helped anyway. The addition of hole explosions, tees & chat emotes is really tacky & some of the things golf clash have dreamt up are bizarre!! If you get to play this game without any issues it’s very good but all the problems I’ve encountered have really taken the fun out of it for me. Shame because I used to a really enjoy playing.

This was a great game but recently the developers have made changes to the tournament mode which although well intentioned have ruined it for many long standing players. They appear to be taking no notice of player feedback. If this is corrected the game is great. If not don’t bother. Update ( 3 January 2020 ) - recent experience has further confirmed the above. The support function for the game are incapable of dealing with game issues - they send cut and paste responses to issues which demonstrate they have no real interest or understanding of problems players face and absolutely no power to deal with them. If you get the game just accept that it’s a pay to win game and your problems will be ignored. Update ( 13 February 2020 ) - tournament groupings continue to be distorted and not in line with what the game makers say how they are determined. A bit of honesty about this would be nice but I suspect is highly unlikely. Update ( 31 March 2023 ) And it continues to go from bad to worse. All the developers are interested in is extracting cash from you. They have zero integrity and continue to set tournament groups using undisclosed algorithms. Enjoy the game - don’t pay them a penny until they start showing some honesty

Great graphics, nice variety of courses and holes, but with some very significant drawbacks. Primarily, it is very, very difficult to progress without spending money. I have played on and off for three years or more and found that, once you reach Tour level 4 or 5 it is ridiculously easy to lose two or three games on the bounce so that you then end up pretty much where you started. The issue you will then have is that you will find yourself “randomly” drawn against players with vastly superior clubs, who can drive the ball 350+ yards, and can therefore reach the green on par 4’s and comfortably reach par 5’s in two. You then end up constantly playing the basic tours, taking one step forward and two back. I don’t necessarily subscribe to the view that the game is rigged, or that it is played by bots, but if you are intent on simply playing and not putting your hand in your pocket perhaps don’t expect too much.

The game play is decent, but the algorithm is to obvious, you only get a decent win streak if u spend money. I have had this game for a while, so I have unlocked just about every club and upgraded a lot them too. I can pull off some decent shots, but I first noticed the algorithm wen I bought the season pass, it was awesome, wining a lot of games, getting decent results in the tournaments, I even ended up buying a couple of the special offer bundles. Until I realised, why should I need to buy these, I’m a decent enuf player, so I made a decision. No more purchases. And it cannot be a coincidence that I loose a lot of games now, and I mean a lot. Like 3 out of 5 on a good day. I haven’t qualified for any tournaments I have entered lately. I would delete the game but I’ve probably spent about 30quid in total so I can’t bring myself to delete it. But yeah if you fancy throwing loads of money at it then you will enjoy the game.

I can’t believe I have to choose a star to rate this. 1) To get far in the game you have to spend!! 2) If you contact customer service on many many occasions they won’t give you an answer they will just send you a generic reply. You have been warned!!!! 3) when your searching for an opponent the matching system is a joke. They match you with players better than you. You don’t have a chance. 4) the game of golf is meant to be played in a sports man like way. Playdemic thought it was fun by saying to players u can now use emojis. Eg if you hit a bad shot and you display an angry face your opponent displays a laughing face That can infuriate a lot of people. The emojis are ruining this game. 5) if your WiFi signal drops then you lose the match or worse your score goes up in tournaments. The game for me is not fun at all. Playdemic or TT games are not really interested in providing u a great gaming experience their only interested in lining their pockets. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME!!!!!

BUT.. Like many other apps , can't help feeling you are playing against the computer . No matter how good you are the games invariably end up down to the wire. Many times I have been beaten by someone making an atrocious shot to the green and the ball miraculously goes in the hole.
I also think some of the players are fictitious and are merely computer generated.
April 2021. This game is getting worse, and many of my clan mates agree. You are often matched with players who have loads more games under their belt and thus have much better clubs. The shot needle is often erratic and jerky. The game favours players who spend large amounts of money. I don’t object to buying rewards periodically, you can’t expect to play for nothing but GC developers are greedy and make millions from this game. Am considering deleting this game and trying other golf games!!
Most of their favourable reviews are from people who haven’t played for long. Let’s see if they change their opinions when they’ve played a bit longer🤔🤔

Sort the matchmaking, for heaven’s sake. How can a player with 30 games under their belt ever hope to compete with an opponent who has played over 20,000 games and won over 15,000 of them? You will get matchups like this frequently, and they are heartbreaking. Even if you manage to force a shootout, you cannot compete with the accuracy and spin-control of your opponent’s clubs. This game needs to match players based on games played, not win rates or trophies or any other abstract measure. The shootouts also need balancing. Force both players to take their shots with the same club, thereby making it a true test of skills, not a test of clubs. Even then, the obvious “scripting” of matches, where a shot by your opponent should land in a hazard but miraculously misses, or your shot, aimed and hit perfectly, somehow drops short despite a tailwind, take away from what is actually a really well thought out game. Get rid of the scripting, and stop penalising players who are new to the game, and maybe they will stick around.

I’ve been with Golf Clash since the early days and can honestly say it’s by far the best app I have had. The quality of the graphics always blow me away. The detail in the grass, the trees, the sky, the water - it’s pleasureable to play and especially when you level up ans can play more courses.
Tournaments are always fun ans since the most recent big update, they’ve improved so many small experience bits like, there is now 3 tiers in tournaments so when you play a new level you’re not playing ridiculously good people, there is a customisable comments, reactions and emojis, you can buy cool hole animations and tees.
Occassionally there has been some teething issues like slight glitching after the big update but they constantly improve and do maintanance to stablise it. I just love Golf Clash!

This is a very well designed game and supported daily by the developers with new content and tournaments. It’s clever too - you’re only ever committed to play a hole at a time - meaning a game only takes about five minutes. You play another player online with roughly the same ‘rating’ as yourself. Very quickly, you start to master your shots, make adjustments for the wind, and spin and curl your shots to the pin, spending your winnings on upgrading a range of clubs which become available over time.
It’s ad-free from the outset too which is a nice bonus. Over time you’ll probably need to spend a bit of cash to keep you going and why not? The game wasn’t free to make nor is cheap to maintain. Eventually though, you’ll most likely run out of credit; you’ll find yourself playing opponents with far superior clubs - and since you climb the ratings faster than you fall - you’ll realise only further investment can perpetuate your success. It’s great fun until you reach that point though.

I’m not going to ligh I don’t get why some people complain about this game! Some are saying the matchmaking isn’t great but it will become more fair as the game gets more popular. I love this game so much and the practise game mode is brilliant! Please please PLEASE keep adding more updates so that this matchmaking will become more fair and the game won’t even get boring! I barley see any flaws in the game. One thing I think would be cool is having more putters. Firstly make the beginner putters stats worse, and add in more. I say this because putting is way too easy! Most of the time when I’m on the green I think I’m safe. All I’m saying is make putting harder, if possible. Eg the putting line is so long and makes it almost a free shot. I’ve got 300 trophies and I think I’ve only missed a couple putts...

I’ve been a regular player of this game for the last 3 years and has been brilliant.
Unfortunately they have made recent changes that made the game actually worse.
A new tournament system has been devised to try and level the player level to match up against each other. In principle a very good idea unfortunately they have based it on your overall tourney results instead of your tournament record at a specific level. For example I have won some tourneys at rookie level but I have been placed in the hardest level for pro and expert level despite me only playing at that level a handful of times and playing badly hence I stay at rookie, I tried expert this time to see if the tournament system was fair and it’s not I was easily out played and did not even make the cut, there is no point at playing tournaments until this is fixed.
Also with the new tournament system you can draw a hole, I asked if this would change the individual win percentage and was told it would not. Since playing the last tourney the win percentage has dropped as any draw are being treated as losses. So if your interested in keeping a high win percentage then this is another reason to give tournaments a miss.
Overall the game was brilliant a 5 star but now it’s a 1 star due to playdemic trying to change something that did not need to be fixed. Despite concerns of many players playdemic help chat just give you the same generic message. Very poor service

I started playing this game a couple years ago, I managed to rack up the wins back then, made it to tour 9, 4.5m in the bank coming top 50 in tournements etc loving life. I took some time away from the game, I can back 3 weeks ago, I have played 1600 games and my win rate was 56% (pretty good) I instantly started facing players with well over 30k games played, max level clubs etc (unfair matchmaking at its finest) I am here today because I now have 52 coins, no gems, I didn’t blow it all in the high tours, I always make sure I have enough coins for 12-15 plays of a certain tour (120k means I can play the 10k tour etc) it’s taken me a week to loose everything. I don’t know how your algorithm works but it’s terrible. You need to put max levels on clubs at different tours. I’ve got a member in my clan who started playing 3 weeks ago who is now quoting the game due to this reason too. His played 260ish games and is being put up against people that have played thousands.. it’s a pay to win game and there is no chance if you don’t want to spend much money, every week they shove deals in your face, when you loose they offer you 3x the entrance fee for X amount of gems which of course when you start loosing a lot due to terrible matchmaking becomes quite tempting... sort it out, I read in a post above that you are “gamers” too... must be gamers with deep deep pockets to get anywhere with this game.

I’ve been playing for at least 2 years and overall I really enjoy the game. You have ups and downs wins and losses, sometimes that’s frustrating but it’s a game, so somehow I’ll survive.
I really think that the game would benefit from having an offline or practise option, so you can improve there. I’d like to play the tournaments more than I do, but they are so time consuming, especially the 18 hole version. It’s hard to actually finish the course in the time frame allotted and I seldom have. I think you should get rid of the shoot out option for drawn holes in the tournaments, this would make them shorter, a lot of the holes are drawn in my experience. I know that they are the decider to see who wins the cash, but the cash stakes could just go back to the players and the next hole played. As the shoot outs don’t effect your tournament score I think this would be a good way of helping people complete tournaments and progressing their game.
Overall I’m a big fan and greatly enjoy the game. Thanks

I have played now for a couple of months on and off and I am sorry to say this game has issues, one time I was in a shot out, I went 1st and all was perfect the ball was just about stopped right next to the hole then suddenly with the green being flat the ball shot of at 90 degrees, extremely fast putting me like 10yds from the hole, the other player hit a poor shot the ball was going way to fast to be near the hole and suddenly it stopped as soon as it hit the ground with no roll no nothing right next to hole. Sorry this is not right I will not play a flawed/fixed game like this. On another hole I chipped towards the hole nicely all said perfect, so it slows down to a snails pace and trickles into the hole the ball had actual gone from view into the hole when it popped back out and went 10yd’s from the hole. There are so many incidents like this, the other players, I meant bots ball hitting the sand and bouncing on as normal, landing in water so you cannot see the ball and the shot played as normal no penalty, the list is endless of faults.

Their moderators are inept, the games are rigged towards players who spend real money and the game is borderline-useless for continuing players who don’t spend much money.
They might respond to this review by saying the games are fair blar blar blar, but they’ll be lying. Every game you play without buying upgrades (etc.) you’ll almost always - I recorded 15 of my last 16 games - be paired against paying players who have clubs at least two levels above your own meaning all but a full round of perfect boost shots will render the game impossible to win. Some holes are impossible even if you to hit every shot perfectly.
If you are happy to spend a fair bit of real money, this might be the game for you, but in reality... it’s a game solely for the developers who made it as all they want is you money and they don’t give a hoot about anything else. They are the Donald Trump of App Developers.
Ignore their reply to this review, it’s almost certainly going to be a complete lie.

Lots and lots of money - I mean loads have been lavished on this game. It looks great the game play is superb the physics are good and the opportunity to increase your skill as you play is definitely there. It’s great fun, it massages your ego as you shoot up the early ranks. eagle!
But and it’s a big but - even more money has been lavished on tweaking it so you eventually have to pay. Just a little initially - almost stayed up in your league? Nearly got promoted. Fear of being demoted. Happily a very clever little algorithm will offer you AMAZING DEALS just when you’re most tempted. £5 here £5 there - hey! You’re having fun. Why shouldn’t you pay a few quid. Then check your purchases (which only goes back a few months). You’ve spent hundreds. This is a pay to win gambling game so cleverly set up you actually make excuses for shelling out real cash for virtual nonsense. Oh and you can’t leave - you have to play in the weekly league EVERY week to stay up. Otherwise all your hard work and effort is lost.
I’m giving it 5 stars so people will read this and also to ‘the guy’...
Somewhere a guy is sitting on a huge yacht smoking a fat cigar due to that cute little gold game you ‘found’ (you didn’t find it - you have a history of handing over cash on real racing or clash of clans) basically you’re a mark.

I’ve been playing this game for what must be 18 months. What’s described as quick fire golf battles is in fact a massively challenging and in depth game once you get into it.
However there is a major drawback. Many players suffer from regular disconnections during games. This issue appears to be getting worse with time. In regular tour play I can live with this losing 1 game due to a disconnection is not so much of an issue. It’s when it comes to tournaments 3 round 45 holes that this becomes a real pain. One disconnection destroying days of hard work and calculation. What makes it even worse again is the company that own this game refuse time and time again to acknowledge the problem is with the game. They will blame your device, your WiFi anything other than the game or their server. This despite it happens to thousands of players using different devices, WiFi, mobile data and having no other issues at all with their internet connection. I’ve left this review and posts on the Facebook page as this is an issue Playdemic really need to start taking ownership of and stop blaming the user base.

I really like this game because you can challenge your skills in competition. You have a chat section full of sentences like: good luck, well done, close, oops! And thanks. Which is good because it makes It less competitive and gives you an option to have good sportsmanship. My dad also enjoys this game and has actually been playing it for about 2 years and he really likes it. It is very frustrating sometimes, but that’s not the games fault it’s just because there’s very good players who basically beat you in everything. Also, another issue is it keeps on putting me against players who have a very high amount of trophies and I made a new account 2 days ago and I only have 12 trophies where as, it’s putting me against people who are in the 70s trophies and tbh I find that a bit unfair so please fix that ✨ overall I really like this game and keep working hard on developing it into an even better game! ☀️🤗 thank you for reading

This game is decent to start with, win a few games build up a little. But once that ‘honeymoon’ period is over you will just be cheated constantly so you have to pay to stay up there. Fictional ball movement is one, where it goes nowhere near what the wind is saying, wind can be going forward you’ll end up short, can be going sideways yet you’ll drop into the rough before your marker, yet some random opponents will be chipping in perfect shots from the bunker 130 yards from the pin not even affected by the wind. This game boils down to who pays the most and doesn’t say a bad word about the game. It’s all a little coincidental after I messaged them the game just got even worse for me, they clearly mark your account and just cheat you out of every game you okay, easy shots that you know you’ve been making time after time are now unbelievably so far off it’s not even a thought ‘oh must of played that wrong’, it’s time after time after time so it’s obvious that I’ve had a marker out on my account to cheat me out of everything. No wonder people stop playing this. Don’t bother at all

I’ve made 2 purchases in the game recently and it never gave me the things I purchased. One came straight out of my account as a double purchase so I’ve lost £10 I was shocked to see when looking back on my account this mor I got to see if the money came out for the other purchase that didn’t appear and yes it was debited from my account but I never got it. Also it takes a lot of time and energy to build up to say 1mil coins or 300k and on both amounts I’ve been black screened as I was about to win and they never refunded it. I’m not buying 2.6 mil that’s over £100. I was happy to pay £20 a week membership for the game as it is great fun when it works and takes me away from the stresses of life in a cheaper way than full on gambling but the games stressed me out in the end with all its floors so I’m leaving this game and chasing refunds now!!!

This game is totally rigged into making you spend money. I’ve played now for around a year and spent some money on it. About a month or after spending you suddenly go on a sequence of losses caused by shots not going where they previously would. Either the wind doesn’t blow as expected, side spin not doing anything, bounce/roll being different to normal and you get matched against players who have played 10-20 times the number of matches than you have meaning they have better clubs. I also suspect that there are bots, since I’ve often been matched for a $3000 game against a player with $50-60 million career earnings and tournament wins, why would a player like this play a $3000 game? I’ve got to the point where I can predict from a couple of losses when the game is in this state and stop playing for a few weeks. When I return everything is back to normal but I’m bombarded with offers to purchase gems etc. I would much rather pay upfront for the game and have it work without the obvious rigging. The makers say it isn’t rigged but anyone who plays for a while will see it, those who spend frequently will succeed.

If your a competitive player then this game will only frustrate and stress you out with the lack of sportsmanship by playdemic when they match you up to players with clubs that far exceed yours . Doesn’t matter how much you throw into your account YOU will regret spending a single penny on this poor game and its many many glitches with connectivity issues and just when your about to take a shot the game will buffer running down your clock and losing you the match. Iv played for about 6 months and am starting to physically feel sick after the horrendous losing streak with 2 steps forward and 10 steps back. You might think with a career purse of almost 2B in coins I would have more than 20m in my actual pocket , that’s how bad it is at actually making any head way on this poor excuse for a game . Definitely not happy with the game and so have downloaded Golf Rivals instead, just to get the fun back in playing golf 🏌️♂️

This game is addictive.... Unless you are prepared to spend money then don’t get involved.... Me & a lot of friends have been playing between 12-18months, about 4or 5 of us were playing enjoying the game, playing in the 30 & 100 grand games, only one of my friends was paying for extra gems & some extra coins so that he could keep up with the rest of us by up-grading his clubs.....
I was the 1st, sort of over the space of a week I went from having over 500 gems (lower than average amount) & over 500,000 coins & just about the same time they introduced ‘clans’ I went down to 1760 ( I’ve been down to single figure). Now I appreciate you can have a bad day, but when you’ve been playing for 18months you get to know when you hit a good shot & a bad shot I was averaging 51%, not anymore, I can hit a good shot & only have a vague idea of where I’ll end up.
I’ve been playing people recently who are a member of a clan who have hit shots & they must be embarrassed......
I mentioned before 4 or 5 of us there was actually 11 friends of mine, there’s only 2 of us left, me & the lad who has paid money (he also formed his own clan).... It’s rigged, it’s fixed, you don’t suddenly start playing like a beginner

Despite it having a few easily avoidable flaws, I do love this game. It has a problem with frequent crashing and the only way you can start playing again is by turning your phone off and on again. However, the biggest flaw it has in my opinion is the way it forfeits the match for you when your connection screws up and it results in you losing your ENTIRE entry fee. I just lost 3K because of this. On the upside, this game never gets boring, it’s very feel-good and there’s no end point to it, you can you have a career as a golfer for as long as you want with this game. I really wish it would clear up the flaws I mentioned though, because they can really make me lose my patience with it sometimes and I don’t want to have to stop playing it in the future. What they should do when one of the players loses connection, is end the game automatically and refund BOTH players. And then if a player genuinely wants to forfeit a game, they have a forfeit button anyway so the player can just press that. All in all, if you live an area where you often lose internet connection, then I wouldn’t recommend getting this game. But if you want a game that’s fun and entertaining, and you like career-based games, I would definitely recommend. I hope you take my advice about how to improve the game golf clash and please sort out crashes as well! Happy golfing ⛳️

This games initially is very addictive but the more you play the more you notice game fixing with the aim of you spending more and more cash and developing either winning or losing runs so that you spend cash. The application of wind is inconsistent amongst opponents in the same game, player matching despite what the developers say is very poor, club upgrades is long winded and costly and you are pitted against opponents with much better clubs. I have personally spend over £200 on this game in a short space of time and would not recommend this to anybody!! As soon as I started to notice these things, as it was causing me to lose games for millions of coins and make complaints my losing run just continued continued despite changing the level I was playing at. Customer services also do not respond to such complaints which in fact acknowledges the point in my view. Avoid at all costs you will end up frustrated and much poorer as a result of playing this totally rigged game!!!

This game is rigged. It has bot players which are blatantly in the game. If you don’t pay to win then you ain’t winning! As an app reviewer I find this game unfair to anybody not willing to spend hard earned cash. I’ve been reviewing your app for a few months now, I’ve found that you servers are flawed as the game is constantly lagging, no real help to people with complaints.
I spent a little bit of money to see what would happen to me after a long winning streak, and of course my hard earned money I spent on some gems, coins and a chest were literally taken as I went on a huge losing streak, from 400k coins to 8 which meant using gems to buy more coins. I can tell anybody reading this that golf clash have a lot of court cases which could be used against them, I won’t name them as it could ruin them.
If any of the golf clash team read this please get in touch with me as I would like my money back after it literally being stolen from me. If you feel this is an empty review please go and speak with the developers of game of war, I’m sure they would happily tell you about my review and court case against them. Happy golfing people DO NOT SPEND REALY MONEY ON THIS APP UNLESS THEY CAN INPROVE. Thanks 😁

I’m sorry to have to write a bad review. I had enjoyed playing for over a year but recently in the middle of matches or tournaments the game either freezes or throws you out thus you loose matches.
The developers only reply back with best practices which I’ve followed religiously, which is very unhelpful, despite screen shots of evidence and detailed descriptions of problems.
In total I’ve lost close to 30 matches and over a million in coins. I have been given some coins back 100,000 but still it’s ruined my enjoyment of the game.
Recently all our clan points went to another clan and although the developers said it was a glitch and our points weren’t given to the other team they were !! so we lost out and has marred our fun.
There are a lot of players from Asia who also use software to time you out of games again unfair.
I am happy to re write a review if it ever gets fixed but for now I am not a happy player and would say avoid the app until better support is on hand. Your letting the game down playdemic .....
The only real playing issue is how expensive it becomes the higher level you get 100,000 to enter a tournament is silly as is 1 million !! Lower tournament fees are needed and bigger rewards for loyalty to the game because they make a lot from you buying in the store for gems or coins etc... I don’t begrudge you making money but you don’t get much back in return.

This game could be so much better. I really enjoy the tournaments but they are a little bit drawn out for me, it takes too long to complete and why do you need to play against someone else??? It would be great if you could introduce different formats like there is in WGT Golf or if you could practice without having to play against another player. Also what exactly is the benefit of having numerous club bags that you get from the clans. It would be better if you could choose from the different bags during a game to make it more of a benefit. Lastly please please sort out the issue when someone hits it out of bounds or in the water. You should drop a shot not just play it as the next shot. It’s not much of a penalty. I’ve stopped playing this for now in the hope that some major extras are added as it has become a bit tedious.

Having enjoyed Golf Clash for many months, played 1000’s of games and spent a decent amount of money on it, I can only give it 1 star! Why? I played a shoot out hole where my opponent went first and hit to 30 yards, I then went and hit my ball right next to the pin. The ball sat next to the hole as the flag fluttered and continued to do so. This can happen when an opponent player logs out as they know they’ve lost. You just wait it out and it goes to win screen. Apart from this time it doesn’t, a minute goes by and out of nowhere it says I’ve forfeited the game because I’ve lost connection and I need to log back in. This simply wasn’t the case, I’m on my home WiFi. Bang, I lose 2 million coins. I believe this is either an incredibly frustrating glitch or players have found a way to time loging out and loging back in to force their opponent to lose connection. Essentially there are cheating players out there.
I contacted player support and tell them the situation and ask them to look at my last game. No response in 5 days. To not respond to a customers issue is treating them with utter contempt. They’re either aware there’s a problem with their app or there is cheating going on and they refuse to acknowledge it. When you’ve invested time and money in a product you deserve better. Avoid.

I have been playing this game for a year now and it is great. I find the negative reviews claiming really interesting. There seem to be various claims - the game starts off easy and then gets more difficult, people are hitting impossible shots and getting an albatross etc, there must be bots, people who have only played a few hundred trophies are beating me and playing impossible shots. Moan moan moan! As someone who has worked my way up by practising, I can say 100 per cent there are no fixed games. Those impossible shots may seem impossible when you start out but with practice, I can now do them. Play the game and get good at it before complaining and putting in negative reviews. Oh, and those players who have only a few hundred trophies and playing really great stuff - a lot of people on here have two accounts so their main one will be 4,000 odd trophies and their second one may be 500 trophies.. that is why they seem better, they aren’t beginners on the traditional sense! Man up if you get beat and try and learn from what the opponent did rather than complaining.

The designers build you up as a player with fixed results by playing you against phoney opponents and gifting you wins. Then, once the frequency of your playing establishes you as someone likely to be persuaded to spend money, they introduce a familiar pattern of losses causing your playing resources (gems and coins) to become depleted to the point where should you wish to continue, you have no option but to buy more. This cynical approach becomes visible after you have begun to climb leaderboards, progress to rookie 2 or 3 level, and the option to join clans has been introduced.
After putting up with constant software crashes and screen freezes your reward will be a prolonged series of losses against ‘expert golfers’ who despite having similar stats as your own will play you with mathematical precision leaving you wondering why suddenly every other player can land within a yard or less from the pin when previously they were averaging 10-15 yards as standard. The developers have done a very poor job of disguising this, which just goes to show that without advertising revenue from third party organisations, apps like this will always take the shortest possible route to your wallet as soon as they detect any pattern of regular use or addictive behaviour.
To the makers of this app I say ‘Gentlemen, may you forever be followed by shoe flies..’.

It’s a great game for what it is; the tournaments are the highlight. It’s just a shame that it seems very, VERY unbalanced. For instance you’ll win 5 or 6 in a row then you’ll lose 6 or 7 in a row.
The biggest sign that it is obviously unbalanced is when your opponent lands in the water and it says the ball is in the bunker, then they proceed to play that next shot and put it straight in the hole.
So that’s it’s biggest down side. Another example is when you’ll hit a ‘perfect shot’ off the tee 330 yards down the middle of the fairway and your opponent gets away with a ‘good’ shot into the rough. Your next shot is ‘perfect again’ onto the green, your opponents erratic over power shot gets a ‘hooked’ and lands in the rough a long way from the green. You putt your ball for birdie, they then hit another ‘good’ and somehow find the hole although the wind was 9mph left and their shot was ‘good’ to the left... The inevitable then occurs when they beat you in the playoff...
Play this game if you have control over your temper...

The developers of Gold Clash openly admit to your opponent sometimes being a replay of previously played games! I wouldn’t have a problem with this if the replays were of random ability, however, for instance, I’ve just played a 100k game with a replay opponent who eagled a par 4 hole which just doesn’t seem FairPlay to me! Even if you manage to match this on the playoff hole your opponent will very often get a hole in one or within a few inches of the hole! What the developers fail to realise is that they would make more money and retain more customers if they made the game fair! Finally, please make the game run smoother especially as it’s a game that requires timing and skill which if it glitches just before you take your shot throws that out the window! You also sometimes get randomly thrown off their servers and your game is forfeited! If I’m lucky enough to get a response from the developers please don’t say it’s my internet connection or phone as I have an iPhone X and unlimited fibre broadband and to back that up a strong 4G connection. Rant over!

Every turn you have is timed, which is fine. But sometimes the connection (even if your Wi-Fi is great) gets really bad and has to take about a minute to reconnect. That is also okay apart from the fact that while it’s reconnecting the time for you to take your shot is still going. This means if you are taking a shot and the connection fails you run out of time to take your shot and you will lose that shot meaning your opponent can easily win the game. Also sometimes by losing connection it forces you to forfeit the game. This means you lose coins. This game is super super super fun, and also hardly loses connection and is very very fast even though you are playing with people all over the world, it’s just the few times it does lose connection you could lose many many coins from it and they should change that. When it’s trying to reconnect it should stop the timer for your shot and if it completely loses connection you should not lose your coins. But honestly this is one of my favourite mobile games ever and everyone should get this game because it’s so much fun, I just wanted to put this review out there for the developers to fix this small problem that would change the game completely. In a good way. ⛳️🏌️♂️

This is the second golf game I have downloaded recently, and easily the best of the two! Unlike the other one, in which you only become successful by spunking all your money on in app purchases (I have downloaded and deleted it 5 times, and every time the game screws you over!!), this one is based on skill and accuracy. The wind is similar for each player, your opponents are better matched to your ability, and the whole play-off idea when you draw a hole is much fairer - even the player who goes second can win the game!!
Of course, if you have the money to spend on improving your equipment then go for it! But I prefer a game where you progress through skill and ability, rather than how much cash you’re prepared to part with. The game is FREE after all...!
All in all, a great game providing hours of fun and frustration in equal measure!!

Absolutely no doubt in my mind this game is fixed towards the people that make in game purchases. Been playing for 6 months, never made a single purchase, slowly built up my coins. I get to the big fee games.. wind is not the same as my opponent, latency in the game, unrealistic bounces. Today I have lost 4 games on the trot due to the game just closing and when I reopen it I’ve lost. Poor, so angry about this I’ve put time and effort it and it’s clear that the game favours the players that spend money in the game. I hit a ball into the sand on the shore it says ‘out of bounds’ the opponent hit the ball into the water and I swear to god the tide went out. Beyond poor. This is not to mention, CONSTANTLY being matched with players 2/300 trophies more than me, better clubs. But the worst part above all else, I hit perfect shots and it finds extra speed to roll into the rough/sand/water unrealistically, opponent hits into rough it rolls extra onto fairway, I’ve just played my last game against a player who’s shot bounced out of the sand and onto the fairway... this is a physical impossibility. So annoyed with a game I had enjoyed up until recently.
Absolute joke. Poor poor game. All fixed!

Hi Playdemic. Thanks for the automated response that you ‘coincidentally’ sent me about 2 weeks ago through the ‘support’ section of your game, word for word... spelling mistakes and all! I have renamed COUNTLESS shots with ‘support’ or ‘playdemic’s at it again’ and so on... you get my gist. When I do get a response, it’s practically you guys saying your game is perfect and there’s nothing wrong. I did have a nice fella once and out of the 8m+ I’ve lost to your ‘un-rigged’ game, I got about 30k back. Thanks for that! I wonder why so many people complain about it being rigged? Hmm... maybe because it’s rigged? Just a thought. I have videos from when I’ve screen recorded entire games. It’s plain to see it’s rigged. I’ll be sharing these so others can make their own assumptions. You are a greedy, greedy company who couldn’t care less about your players, only your customers. They may seem like the same thing but there’s a HUGE difference, and you guys make that obvious within your ‘game’. Can’t fault the game play but it is just another one of those games where players skill has little impact (you can look at the majority of players records and they all hover around 50-55%). The game is very cleverly structured so you win a few and lose a few, orchestrated by who you are paired with. Given the pairing rating and the fact most players have a 50% rating this means it is almost impossible to progress without spending money (yes, I guess there will always be outliers to this). I don’t really fault this business model as most people know what they are getting into, it’s just such a missed opportunity for what could be a very good game where you could play through a career etc, I’d happily pay £4.99 for that sort of game, but instead we are left with a game we’re you can only play against other people, there isn’t even an off line mode. It’s just a sad indictment of the game industry, it won’t change unless people stop spending their money. There are noticeable occasions when you are paired with someone so much higher ranked as you that winning is virtually impossible as it is harder to make a mistake with decent clubs than it is to hit a perfect shot.

It’s a good game but I would like some single player whole courses to play.
Also you need to make it so that where ever you land on the green your putter will make it to the whole as it’s really annoying when you make a crazy shot to hit the green and make it there only to have to make 2 putts because the putter has no strength where in reality a putter is a putter and it’ll go as far as it needs too.
Other than that and a few other niggles it really is a great game and is pretty much all I’ve been playing since I downloaded it way over a month ago now. 😘
Also I’ve been playing tour 7 games for weeks now and you rarely get any tour seven club cards this needs to be sorted or what’s the point of having clubs in certain tours it’s ridiculous please please make it so that the tour you’re playing is the club cards that you receive in the chests.

The biggest scam ever. I played the game solid for 2hours just to see how bad this game could get. In that time, 9 times it had my opponent chip the ball into the whole.....1 time my opponent was 169yds away and in the rough.....2 times my opponent chipped into the whole from the bunker over 100yds. Yet the game never allowed me once to receive a chip in. In one of my shots the ball circled around the hole twice before it decided to go 40 mph away from the hole. On numerous occasions my ball looked as if it was going into the hole then all of a sudden speed up and go past it. The only thing I can say about the developers of this game is they must be junior developers and have not been in the profession for long. Seriously get your act together. I have read other reviews and how you can rate the game so high, when the reviews do nothing but say how appalling this game is... I think the rating true to form is well below 2.5 and that’s being generous.

Enjoyable little game and very addictive. However, this game is anything but fair. Always paired against people who have better clubs, wind strength and direction are very questionable. I don’t care what the developers say, when this game wants you to lose, you will lose. There have been far too many instances of the ball landing in a completely random place even though you do everything right for it to be coincidence. And then somehow your ‘opponent’ plays the same shot with a different outcome. Really, really inconsistent. It’s a shame because it could be such a good game it if was fair.

Well I was frustrated with this game and now I’m just annoyed. Finally built myself back up to about 37k so I could start playing the better tournaments or upgrade one of my clubs. Start a 60k match and it ‘loses connection.’ Match forfeited and my hard earned cash lost without even hitting a ball. I was on WiFi at home with no connection issues on anything else. Tried contacting through the ‘help’ section but no response. I’m sure this is designed to make you lose more money so you have to invest your own real money to get back into the game. Robbing barstewards.
Very addictive for an hour then reality sets in....you NEED to spend spend spend.

Have to give a mark otherwise a clear 0 star, Inconsistent , repetitive and UNFAIR play is the key to this game! You constantly get matched with opponents far more experienced and levels ahead who have top spec equipment, you stand absolutely NO chance against, earn no gold so are stuck in the lower leagues. This is for people where money is no object, there’s no fun or enjoyment unless you PAY PAY PAY. I’ve spent money as some of the offers are too good to pass but now deleted the game, they DO NOT respond to in game help queries. The one shot shoot out is a complete joke, your not on an even playing field by that I mean you should both have same equipment and wind speeds but no, your opponent has the top ball more accurate club and no wind, your turn and the wind jumps up changes direction and your club target is not physically strong enough to reach the pin how is that fair! So if you want to keep your device ie not smash it in anger and not be frustrated by the sheer amount of unfair play then AVOID this like the plague.

Addictive game, easy to get in to and quite rewarding. It’s not without its faults so bear this in mind. I’ve lost a few games by some glitches.
On several occasions my opponents ball managed to bounce back off a patch of rough, rather than rolling on to it, it seemed to hit an invisible wall and bounce back onto the fairway. This has cost me around 5 or 6 high stake games. Not too bad as I would never spend actual physical money but frustrating when you play games to build up your “cash” to play the higher challenges and higher entrance fees.
Recently I’ve noticed opponents have been logging off, then back on again, just as you take your shot. You get a big “joining and 5 second count down” display during your shot. However, your timer continues and your view is completely blocked so you have less time to aim and swing. They can do this a couple of times, only giving you a few seconds for your go.
Good to play with friends just needs the little tweaks to keep it tip top.

As ever it makes its own mind up on how your shots turn out. I have played this game since it arrived on App Store I’ve also spend pointless money to improve clubs, this makes no difference on how your shots turn out. I know how to judge the wind having played many golf games and playing golf on actual golf courses but this is not a fair game at all. There are more times than I can mention where the shot has messed up and it wasn’t on my part after getting perfect on shot, and compensating for the wind. It should not drop you feet away from your guide line when you have over powered it slightly to compensate for a 1.4 wind against you, on the course it looked like it was short by about five foot from where the guide line indicated it would land. This tell me there is something wrong. I don’t like wasting money so I keep the game in hope that it will change but I can’t see it. There is something wrong here. I hope something changes with the game. So sad the game feels like this.

Like some of these reviews i am also very annoyed with this game and the people that are supposed to help!!! Everytime i contact through settings all the answers i get are all writen in the help menus so really the people on the other side dont actually help!!! And as for the wind and latency and stuff i agree with alot of these reviews saying its rigged because i have just lost a 3million game through this latency thing when i have an excellent connection.. and the game doesn’t save the shot because u didnt technically take a shot as time ran out so you cant prove it so they wont do anything and i have been told that the wind is completly random... so how have i just had 3 games in a row that gave my opponent straight forward wind but my wind went sideways... if it was random it would be different every shot... and after reading more and more revoews my thoughts are exactly the same its not just me it keeps happening to its anhell of alot of people so DONT PLAY THIS GAME AND DEFINITLY DONT SPEND REAL MONEY ON IT AS IT WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANYTHING IN RETURN APART FROM FRUSTRATION!!!! Also playdemic wont care if you need help they will tell you exactly what you can already read in the help menus!!!

I used to love this game but over time have found myself becoming more and more frustrated with it. For instance I just spent £4.99 to buy 600 gems which would then enable me to buy coins to compete in the tournament. Now bearing in mind I have a good, stable Internet connection. I had lined up my shot in the shoot out and drove the ball with one second remaining. This should be plenty of time as I have seen people take shots with zero seconds on the countdown clock. But as I watched my ball travel through the air for a few seconds the 'Out of Time' message flashed up and I lost the shoot out and consequently my coins. It's really NOT OK that fans of this game are spending there real hard earned cash only to be robbed by glitches in the game. Glitches which really should not be happening in a game which is so well developed. The amount of money rolling into the developers pockets should negate these glitches. More money should be spent sorting these out rather than spending it by putting snow in the trees! The bottom line is I'd really like my money back! But I won't hold my breath....

A very well thought process and game, although can be improved.
Please consider adding:
Offline mode: 3-6 new course with each one having 3 modes ranging from easy-hard.(easy 1-3mph, medium 4-7mph, hard 8++mph).
The offline mode should also support a 2 player mode, either where the device is passed between players or connect through network only.
Practise mode:
Using already existing courses that costs 1/4 of the price, but adding course challenges to earn the entree fee back.
You should also be able to play this in offline mode.
Both of these new additions should have new achievement added with it.
Daily awards/achievements:
Setting new daily challenges, so players can have another way of making some coins and/or gems daily...
going by other reviews, many players end up losing all there coins, which will result them having to wait for other players to either send them a gift, or having to wait for chest timer to finish.
If a player seems that the game is against them, and they have no other way to make any coins, they will end up getting annoying, and just finding a different game to play.. which can result in a player deleting the app completely..
Or you could add a Free coins countdown every 20 mins for 300 for players who have less then 2500,

This game is good but it feels rigged, somehow I always seem to be playing someone who is way ahead of me with such better clubs, you need to match players more closely, I used all my money to upgrade clubs, so I had to start from beginner to get money, then the next one, then the really annoying night course, finally enough money to play the level 4 game, £3000 entry, boom I’m ranked against someone way better and my money’s all gone again,
The putting is ridiculously easy too, I do a perfect shot say 4 yards from the pin, great, my opponent is miles away, still makes the putt, it really is too easy, you need to make the putting harder by only giving a rough guide, what’s the point in playing like a legend and your opponent plays shocking but makes the green fringe but you know there going to make the putt,
Actual gameplay is pretty good, just sort the matching and putting out and I’ll give it 5 stars

Overall, the graphics and gameplay can be good, with the idea of deck building integrated into the game creating goals to win chests. However, the player can lose even when he is far better than the opponent. Luck is a huge factor in this game which takes the fun out of it. It often comes down to a 'nearest to the hole' shootout when you draw the first round, which is nearly always the case in this game. Consequently, the clubs different ranges means that some are better suited for the greens, such as jumping over bunkers and so forth, which makes it highly unfair and unpredictable. Some also has to go first which gives an advantage to the other player in the shootout. The wind is also very off, and can change dramatically between each player making it doubly unfair at times. When teeing off it is also hard to see the hole, meaning that you don't know where to position your shot on the fairway. And the roll of the greens are also tricky to comprehend.
