If you play this game be ready to say good bye to your savings take out a huge bank loan or mortgage. This game is only good if you are willing to spend thousands or tens of thousands of £ per year Game has become greedy and 90% of the events require you to spend money If you don’t spend you will be left behind Over the years the developers has become more and more greedy spend on this spend on that. They only care about the top 1% players as they spend hundreds of thousands of pounds to get to where they are. Oh and if you have a issue they will take weeks or month’s to resolve it and give you pathetic compensation meaning you lose out on week or months of growth. Very poor user experience and customer service.

The game is addictive and fun if you are in a good alliance and a great server. Don’t be fooled though. There can be awful bullying and foul mouthed behaviour. I would have provided a higher star rating, but the customer service is disgusting. No support at all. Game upgrades cause disruption and you even end up with wounded / dead troops for NO reason and get no support or acknowledgment from customer service. It’s tantamount to theft when you coin in the game. They just don’t care.

What a great game, lots of features, competition and cooperation with other players. I found support to be pretty helpful, not perfect but who is?
Don’t mind paying some, for progress bonuses, but usually only when offers are on, a month ago would have benn **** (4 star)
Sadly I can’t risk investing at the moment. The big players on my server have fallen out, abandoned our peace agreement (N.A.P) and now if 75% of players don’t perfectly time logging in and setting a shield several times a week they get destroyed , many are stopping playing, as progress for most players has been replaced by hiding.
Evony won’t allow established players to move servers, so unless thev big players wake up or Evony change the crazy rules about shields ( Evony just make them stackable up to say a week or even just allow two or three to be stacked ahead)
Shame because it is such a good game.

I needed a new challenge, so, I thought I would give this a go as the ad looked fun. Running around, conquering new land, adding to my army and tapping the screen to fight??? NOT A HOPE. It is a tap the screen game but, there’s no running around. You send troops out to pillage while you just watch the clock to see when they are back. I played about an hour and there are the “pull the pin” mini games but, you can only play so many until you have to go and upgrade your buildings. I think, it’s a delete!

As soon you start playing you automatically agree with term and conductions that don’t allow you to have multiple accounts. However there is an option in the game to switch to other accounts. So, evony suspended my account without any warning after I spent more £1000. They just said that I was reported to violate the TOS but didn’t give me any proofs. They just suspended my account without any explanation. Do NOT put money on this game, your investment can disappear in one second if they decide so.

I have played the game for years since the very early servers. It was not too bad in the early days when although spending on the game gave you an advantage you could still compete by investing more time in the game. However the gap has grown ever wider in the last 2 years and is now impossible to compete without spending thousands. This is due to the constant new in game equipment released on a fortnightly basis that offers new upgrades and boosts if you purchase 5 x £99 packs. It is impossible to gain any of these new upgrades without spending this amount.
The customer support has always been useless even in the early days but is even worse just lately and basically repeat your question when answering.
Like I say I had played for a good few years and it was hard and disheartening to have to demolish years of time and effort before finally leaving the game as there was never a chance of competing.

I played this for a year in total, and was one of the very first people on my server. Leadership of it very quickly got ruined by political opinions, and the fact that it’s also blatantly a pay-to-win model. It takes so long to make gains doing things without cash that it’s not realistically feasible. The ‘crown’ was passed around by leaders and used as a political toy to gain favour, so many people were unable to gain any needed wings for their own advancement. All the ones constantly in power have only gained that by spending thousands of dollars and owning so many troops that it’s nigh impossible to overthrow them. Not only that, EVERY single advert I’ve ever seen for this game is 100% untrue. They all show gameplay that has never been, nor ever will be, included in the actual game. Even when the voiceover says that the ads are exactly like the game, it’s a complete and total lie. There’s hardly any puzzles at all compared to the amount of kingdom building you have to do (which is 95% of the ACTUAL gameplay), and all those adverts including driving, mining, shooting barrels? Not in game at all. Every single ad is so untrue that I’m inclined to think it’s incredibly illegal. The only good thing I have to say about the game is that despite the vast majority of players being incredibly toxic, I did meet about a dozen that I have remained in contact with. They were genuinely good and kind people. But after a year of the same old events, toxic community, ever-growing pressure to spend money and no realistic chance of being organically competitive, I finally quit. It was the best choice I’ve ever made, now that I have more free time to play many other, far better games that actually have realistic goals and adverts which have a basis in fact. So in short? DO NOT try this game. It’s one of the worst things I’ve ever played in my life.

I have been playing now for just over a year and although I don’t buy as many packages as others in the game, because the ones who have help the smaller players like myself I have grown and continue to grow. They help by running rallies against the larger monsters and because I join their rallies I receive the rewards which I accumulate and they help me to grow.
Apart from the game play I get to chat with players from around the world, from Australia to America, from Turkey to Venezuela. I have to seriously admit that this is the best game I’ve ever played and even though I’ve never met anyone from the game, they have become friends who I share my life with and they share theirs with me, which really adds to the enjoyment of the game.

Stay away from this scam posing as a game and whatever you do, don’t spend money on it. They will simply take items from your inventory and then just ignore your tickets. I’ve raised 80 tickets so far after a civilisation gear item was stolen by Evony from my inventory and all I get from the customer support is non stop robotic replies about patience.

I was drawn into this game through the puzzles but became addicted to the general gameplay quite quickly. I am in my second time round playing the game. I gave up the first time because of the toxic behaviour of some players. It is happening again on the server i am on now and this is a big minus to the game that the coiners can do what they please and bully other players. You complain and nothing gets done so Evony doesnt follow its own rules. The game has glitches, most games do. But when they turn out to be permanent it harms gameplay. There has been a change in monster strength or application of buffs. Wounded on monsters, mainly ymirs, has increased but it is ignored. Customer support just closes the ticket rather than resolves it. This is why it is 3 star for me. Fix the glitches and the lag and being able to do something about players who bully. Also make the game more available to free to play players, have more events that anyone can win, not just the strongest. More and more events are being aimed at those who pay and it is becoming less enjoyable. Also the 3 days between events, needs brightening up. This could be 5 star.

This game encourages bullying- some really bad characters on world chat including people encouraging people to off themselves etc. the worst of the internet and when this is reported, the game developers do nothing. Beware and make sure your kids do not come close to this game- as the featured 5 star review also suggests, it’s built in a way to be addictive and everything is hidden behind a pay wall- people have spent 100s of thousands and those game accounts become obsolete in a few months as there is new gear for which more $ is required - else the account becomes irrelevant. It is not a puzzle game but a strategy game built to make you keep coming back for more. It’s the worst of the gaming world in one place- BEWARE!

There is an ‘update’ which says in order to get this advantage in buffs please spend in the kings event- honestly the gap between free to play or medium spending to having crazy spending in the 100s of 1000s of dollars is too huge. And you need to spend so much to be relevant in the game or it’s just a monster hunting game with zero fun. Do yourself a favour and download some other game instead, your bank account and peace of mind will thank you.

The game has changed a lot in the last 18 months. It is now based purely around how much money you spend. And there are some who spend $50,000+++ a year! If you can’t spend that you won’t be able to compete. It is a complete lottery to see if you end up on a server that doesn’t have bullies or a server that is growing. Many servers are dominated by a handful of people and many of those are bullies. It takes a while to find that out by which time you are locked in and can’t change the server (area) you have to play on. All the functionality that the studio have released in the last year is around new ways for people to spend. The game play is almost always unstable during big events the result of which is wasted money and time. There are record numbers of people quitting the game and many big castles are up for sale as even those who have spent a lot of money have had enough. You have been warned! And ignore all the screenshots about the puzzles….they are a tiny part of it which no one plays!

I downloaded Evony for its puzzles but soon realised it was more of a war game then puzzle game.
Thought I’d do a few puzzles then delete the game…..boy was I wrong!!! 1 year on and I’m still playing Evony till 3am. I’m totally addicted to it.
It’s almost impossible for you to grow in this game unless you spend thousands of pounds or join a big alliance where they do non stop rallies. I’m lucky I’m in a server where the giant players (big spenders) help the little guys grow instead of burning them down. Although Evony has a kill event every week our server has banned killing members of our own server, we can only kill members of enemy server every 2 weeks when there SvS (server v server). This helps us little guys learn and grow.
Evony is a place where you can make great friends and have fun.
Now for the BAD bits:
Evony has a lot of glitches specially during SvS and battlefield.
Evony customer service - might as well be non existent. If you send them a message you get the same crap auto reply or you don’t get a reply at all.
Most of my team and I have messaged Evony several times because of a serious issue, a lot of us are suffering losses but Evony customer service can’t be bothered to reply or rectify this problem my entire alliance is facing right now

Ive had a family member lose thousands to this shill of a game. It has gotten to the point where they ignore other family members in turn to play the game and are on it 24/7. The developers response to spending a lot of money is “it is so people who don’t have enough time to play can progress far. That is completely not true. I’ve watched them play sometimes and the people they “alliance with” are also big spenders who only play 24/7. Both my family member and they’re alliance use botted accounts to rapidly progress and I believe they're buying packages on BOTH accounts just to progress one. Not only this there are highly racist and homophobic players who have threatened others due to a MOBILE game. This is just really crazy. And while all this happens the developers don’t do anything to help or even fix. A small unpaid account, while fun to play will be destroyed instantly unless you have someone on the inside of the biggest clans. Events are a whole other thing. Bigger costs, more double up packages and more. Please, I highly recommend NOT to download this game as it has begun to ruin they’re life and I don’t think they’re realising it.

It isn’t a game I would have ‘picked’ at all but it is quite addictive. Although there are a few puzzles - mostly it is building a castle and training troops to fight monsters and fight other troops. There are daily tasks and various activities which change. Join an alliance to help you grow. If in doubt keep a bubble on your castle to stop your troops from being wiped out. If you do buy any packages take photos of your inventory before, after and throughout the process in case there is a glitch. I have had some variable experiences with customer services - but my last encounter was a more positive experience. Suggestions to the developer - (1) if people have all their troops killed they often leave the game. A special token could be sent to the inventory after e.g. 30 days. When activated by the player the token would recover 1/2 the lost troops plus add a ‘beginners bubble’ again. More people would stay in the game or come back.(2) In server war the Monarch position should be based upon the net points not the positive points. Some people ‘suicide’ on purpose to increase the positive points - but they make the server lose because they have a huge negative score. That is cheating. This really needs to be changed.

I’ve been playing this game for over a year now and have managed to get up to level 30 (out of 40) without spending any money. The puzzles that you are shown in the adverts number 300 in total and so far I’ve played, and passed, 220 of them. Guess how many of those puzzles match the ones from the adverts, yep, that’s right, none of them are the advertised ones! That said, it’s not a terrible game but it does favour those that pay to play. As mentioned, I don’t pay and currently have power of 53 million while the top player on my server has over 11 billion in power. If you’re happy to plod along and build slowly then this is an enjoyable game but if you want to get there faster you’ll need to spend big, very big, we’re not talking hundreds, we’re talking thousands, hence the 3 star review. Also, you need to join a good alliance

It’s a good game and challenging, there are 40 levels in total (called Keep levels in game) I got to Keep 25 inside of a week of playing and it took me another 9 months to get to Keep 30 where I am as of writing this.
The company behind it are quite sneaky also as they will launch competitions that run for 11 days which is not enough time to get big prizes without spending cash to “help you get there” also if you don’t play for a 3 days (or 7 days if you have a fair chunk of in game cash) expect everything you worked for to be destroyed by other players.
It also gets exponentially harder as you go on and certainly becomes more and more about how deep your pockets are. I’d say once you’re around the Keep 33/34 area then unless you’re prepared to spend increasingly higher and higher sums of money then forget it. That’s not to say plenty of people don’t spend sickening amounts of money in this game. When you’re in a relatively new server and see someone at Keep 35 then you know their credit card is taking a major hit.
That also does make the game quite unfair as these people are essentially untouchable and because they have more resources their chances of winning competitions becomes higher making them even more powerful.
But even with that said the game can be an enjoyable challenge as long as you know the glass ceiling is there.

I really like playing this game, however it is becoming increasingly obvious the developers are only interested in getting as many people people as possible spending huge sums of money, as if you don’t do this it’s almost impossible to develop properly or win battles. Even if you do spend loads of money, you can loose everything in literally 1 second of a big player attacks you and gamers actually call this being zeroed. It’s gotten to the point now that experienced players are trying to form truces between alliances so that smaller players can actually survive for a period of time to give them some chance of getting a footing before having what they build smashed to bits in the blink of an eye. The game could be SO much better if the developers brought in a system of handicap so players of a similar level could freely battle but big spending high level players could not instantly destroy smaller players, but there is no sign of this happening. Real shame and will probably be this games downfall in the end.

It seems every update, it gets harder to grow the more you gain the more evony alters the game so you need more and more to grow. I have stopped spending on this game as its got to be all about buying packages. They don’t care either about new players many that i have seen leave the game because they get to lvl 30 and it becomes almost impossible to get any bigger without spending a years salary. Theres so many players who have used bots and off market buying to get billions in power getting matched against players with a few million power therefore server wars become unfair with certain players able to destroy everything on the server. Many of the events cannot be completed as they’re changed too quickly theres no time to finish them. Any time you report a glitch or problem like lag which has cost you millions in resources and troops they reply occasionally with a small gift thats practically useless. I’m afraid its a great game been ruined by evonys greed. I like many players don’t think it will change either.

Winds me up that the ads for this game and the previews you see here ARE NOTHING LIKE THE GAME. They are a tiny part of the game. I wish they’d just invent a game that is their ads, and just separate the two.
The game itself is fine if you like that sort of join an alliance, build a city and fight with everyone kind of thing. Problem is that the game is entirely dependent on the amount of money you’re willing to spend. Although you can grow without spending much, everything’s for sale, and there are plenty of people spending massive amounts to be the biggest. Big players run the server, bully smaller players and dominate a very toxic chat environment. Definitely not for kids. World chat is vile sometimes.
If you’re hit all your gains can be wiped out by a massive player who’s just spent money to get big. It’s frustrating. Having said that, there are some great people there when you get to know them, but you’ll never be one of the top players unless you spend…

Like many others be said, the game has potential. Problem is it’s only catered for the people no spend lots of money on it and they are allowed to constantly trample over the little people. They are able to literally attack you over and over till you are left with nothing and they can always find you no matter how much you move around.
The 1000’s of puzzles you see advertised are a lie. I’ve not seen any puzzles like them, it’s the same crappy puzzles over and over again. This game is all about building your city and spending your cash. I downloaded this game for the puzzles and pushed on thinking I will see these puzzles. No such luck.
Also had an issue with the game, support is a waste of space and as you can see all the responses are just copied and pasted to each. There are much better games out there to spend you time on.

Svs is forced upon us every 2 weeks which in itself is t a bad thing but the lag and glitches and delays is soo bad you can’t actually play. If you are a young server don’t bother trying. Yes you can shield but you can’t win even if you outperform the enemy and you can’t do much of anything other than stay shielded because of all thre major issues around Svs. Ebony never try to fix any of the issues after countless tickets. I wouldn’t even mind an acknowledgement saying they received the mail and will look into it. Boys are going rampant through servers aswel and they aren’t allowed but ebony does nothing on that either. 90 man alliance and 3 are real and the rest are bots and still evony does nothing.
Game itself is great but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone right now unless evony buck up their ideas.

I liked the game play and the fact that I can develop my cities, there is a lot to do. I put the game down and ended up deleting my account out of frustration because I invested a lot of time and a bit of money into the game to build my exp and the cities I owned.
I logged on in the morning to find that an alliance of players took literally everything, My defence general I’d spent ages developing, my resources, my sub cities were crippled, my gold was laughable considering how much I had in the first place, my troops had been wiped out, I could go on… I liked to play alone with the goal of fighting bosses and develop my city. I’ve clearly wasted my time and feel disheartened as I was asked if I wanted my general back and that he was being “well fed”. I was asked to join their alliance…why would I do that after having my enjoyment ruined.
I thought this was a fair game for both single and multiplayer, not a game to make you feel bullied and robbed.

I will never be able to upgrade Keep when all my hard worked for “stashes” disappear. Think I will delete soon. Contacted since by game but absolutely no help. Contact advisor takes me to adverts for the game, so basically you can not contact advisor.
I am still playing but really getting fed up because stuck at level 20 and can not collect enough supplies to go to level 21. The only way it seems is to open the wallet and spend mega amounts of money to buy enough. Getting bored with game now

The concept of building your troops and castle is not bad but the worst thing is that many strong players are complete and constant bullies who will destroy you and it takes months to rebuild. Of course there are constant offers to buy what you need to build snd/ or rebuild. Many players have spent thousands of dollars on this!!!
Without a bubble for protection you get attacked and can be wiped out - this is expensive especially if life means you cannot keep checking in as there is no allowance for emergency or illness.
Also is you lose internet when bubble needs renewing your can also be totally annihilated then.
I reported regularly for over 6 months bots with screenshots and full details but they did nothing!!!
Many players shared the distress of the bullying and high addiction to stay protected. And many wanted to leave but couldn’t - either because of the huge financial investment they’d made or the intensity of the addiction. Several players reported it ruining their marriages.

Customer service also don’t care about issues within the game or their players so long as they’re still making money. Every time there is an update lag or glitches lead to people losing everything on their account and customer service always refuse to help past a few low grade rewards that don’t make a difference. Bullies are also everywhere on this game and the developers and customer service defend their actions and leave them to bully players off the game. The only way you’ll ever be able to achieve everything is to spend thousands of dollars per month. Since the keep 40 release the developers have continued time and time again to make promises they don’t deliver on while widening the gap between very large spenders and all other players.

Like most folk I was drawn into this by the puzzles and then realised it was a whole lot more. This was about 18 months ago. The server I play on is great, it’s a no kill so you have time and space to grow, unless there is a server war on.
The reason I’ve down voted this to 3 stars is really because of the direction that Evony is heading. Slowly and surely Evony are taking the fun for non coiners (and coiners) away by removing the ability to grow and achieve things without spending money.
Things are chopped and changed without any notice, often causing weeks of in game savings to be lost and there’s never any come back.
The customer service, whilst I appreciate that they are probably swamped, is woeful. Continually trotting our company buzz words and phrases, which are often meaningless and zero help.
Anyway, play at your peril, it’s a money pit, but fun.

I say half truth, but that is being overly generous to this game. The adverts show pin puzzles, and there are some of these, but these are not the point of this game. This is a build an empire game that has some (very few when compared to to the rest of the game)puzzles in it. You access the puzzles as you build up your keep, but to do that, you need to build barracks, farms, a university etc, but doing that takes a lot of time, particularly when you get past the first levels. If you decided that you want to build your empire, you will find that there are some very powerful cities that you will be ready to plunder your city at any given opportunity so real growth will be very hard. It would be kind of nice to say that you too can have such a powerful empire, and all you need to do to get there is expend time and patience. I would be lying if I said that though. The only way to progress and to grow your empire so that you will be able to hold your own will be if you are willing to spend money, lots of money. Personally, I’m not willing to spend money and time trying to get to the possibility of playing a couple of puzzle games every two weeks.

Severe glitches mean that when you apply a shield to protect your castle (which cost 1000 gems, which in turn cost real life money) sometimes the shield does not work - resulting in other players “zeroing” my account and taking my hard earned and worked for epic sub cities - this has happened more than once and I am now leaving the game because I have reported this using the ticket system on line and no one can be bothered to reply - I spend a lot of money on this game - I will now spend it on another game instead I don’t mind losing battles or even losing epic cities that have again cost me Real money to obtain - what I mind is that I lose them through issues with the apps own coding and then customer support is non-existent -

I got this game because of my boyfriend and spend the first week trying to figure out the game. I was unaware back then that I could move server and am now stuck (as I am keep level 19). I do think it’s quite silly that you can’t migrate server after a certain time. I don’t want to lose my progress because I’ve come quite far with it all but now seems like I’m stuck on a server on my own. We figured out how to switch the servers now and managed to get our friend on the same server as my boyfriend but again I now can’t join their alliance because I’m in a different server. I wonder if in any updates you would be able to give anyone above keep level 6 the opportunity to move over. All I need to do is move once and tbh being alone in my server is making the game a lot less enjoyable. Thanks

The adverts show only the ‘pull pin’ game but the majority of the time you have to play a completely different game. The latest ads even go on about how other game developer ads aren’t the real thing but this is. “I’ve finally found the real thing” nonsense! Totally misleading and when people raise this issue in reviews they get a ‘copy and paste’ response about ‘keeping playing and you will find the puzzle part’. It will probably turn up after my review too… Shame but if you want just a pull the pin puzzle game, look elsewhere…
Edit - yep, same stock response from the developer as predicted. Their advertising is a bit like they show you only a football game in the advert (while telling you how annoying ads are that lie and don’t show you the true game) but don’t tell you that you have to play hours of chess games to access a little bit of the football game each time.
I found ‘rescue hero’ pull pin game that is just that and nothing more. Much better.

So the game does have the puzzles to solve, but sadly is one of those games where you have to protect your city constantly from being prayed upon by higher level players. You have to upgrade a town (if the game was just that and the puzzles I would be in for the long haul) and collect resources whilst having an army that will never be able to defend your city and you will inevitably be left feeling, why me? Simply put you will be easy pray. They give you a protective bubble while you go through the trainer phase, but goodness knows what you have to do to keep that in place so you can just play a game in peace and not be constantly thinking you have to set an alarm to log back in and protect your city once again.
So if you’re looking for just puzzles DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME! Why pretend to be something it’s not. Read the other reviews before downloading, I wish I had

Been playing a long time and also coined a ton. The best aspect of this game is the alliance members and the things that happen around it when in a strong and competitive alliance. The issue though is the ever increasing divide between the pay to win and free to play players. Obviously it’s a business and pay to win will always have an advantage but the greed of the company seems to be accelerating that divide with no time for people to make up the distance with good old fashioned grinding. Even high, medium and low spenders have no chance of closing the distance from the whales.
Even with this it could still be a fun and enjoyable game if it wasn’t for the bugs, glitches and poorly planned updates that seem to break the game. I refunded last months purchases via apple store but if I could refund all the money I ever spent I would. Avoid this game is my advice as the negatives outweigh the positives as time goes on

The game advertisements say that this is the only puzzle ad that isn’t fake but it’s not. The game advertises itself to only have levels but there are so many other stuff I didn’t know about and it is annoying because I just wanted to play the levels and I can’t because of all the random stuff I don’t care about. There are no real grind-able ways to progress anymore. I’ve spent 1200 pound and was happy to, and now I see this game is just about paying for something rather than playing for something with literally everything you do. The yimr event this time around there are non of them around the map people are saying it’s like trying to find gold and they don’t even give that much the rewards you get for stuff are mediocre except the eggs and witches and golden goblins, sure at low level it’s a lot but after spending a little playing to progress is pointless. I literally would keep spending money because I love the aspect of the game but now it’s all just about spending money and not playing, this Helen event is an absolute joke why can’t it be play and do something for buffs instead of spend. If you are a new player do not spend a penny or leave. I get the game is here to make money but what is the point of a game where playing doesn’t have any effect. I can’t grind anything for SVS I have to pay for every occurrence that happens. Just be more generous with rewards from all bosses. Common monsters on the map hardly even serve a purpose there is no point in them. A lot of people would be more willing to put money in if it wasn’t as money grabbing surely that is better than a few rich people.

I have been playing this game for over a year now. And although I downloaded it as thought is was a regular puzzle game, I very quickly began to enjoy the true game. It took a while to fully understand methods of play. But what I will say is you certainly don’t need to spend your money! If you join a good alliance, the team helps each other and you grow with the team. It is a patience game, unless of course you do have money to burn to speed everything up! If you do then good for you, if you don’t (like me) then you will still get a great deal of enjoyment out of the game. I have found a fantastic alliance who has helped me grow and to keep growing. Having an online family to chat with as well as enjoy the game is brilliant. Well done for designing such an engaging game 👍🏼

I love this game. I used to play kings empire years ago and this has some similarities but is much cleverer..I didn’t spend any money at first But a couple months in, i get occasional packs for £4.99.. you don’t have to spend loads unless you want to compete with the big spenders which I am not prepared to do…a lot of growth can be obtained from being in a good alliance and by playing strategically within that alliance. It is what you make it… play at your own pace, don’t be pressured by others after all it’s a game and it is fun . The alliance I am in is full of parents and people of all ages, nationalities and all different walks of life , it’s really enjoyable and enlightening .. if there are bullies (and in power play games, There will always be some), leave that alliance and join a different alliance that suits your game play and stay off of world chat just use alliance chats and whisper chat. The mouthy ones are always all over world chat.. don’t interact with them..

I don’t get it, you clearly know how to make a game that people want, why would you not just make a game that is like the one you advertise and be taken so much more seriously as a developer rather than all these 1 star reviews slating you for being misleading and dishonest 😂 it’s like advertising solitaire, but then you download it and actually it’s age of the empires, and you get to play the occasional solitaire game between levels of age of empires 😂 deleted this immediately, if you want a game that is actually as advertised then download ‘pull the pin’ off iTunes, no messing round there that is a actual puzzle game, as described, probably much closer to what you were hoping to play after seeing the adverts for this game, without all the war strategy crap.

Advertised as a puzzle game, but in actual fact the puzzles are a very small part of it.
It is actually a “build your kingdom” game like half the others out there. You get the usual click here to speed it up for a price type stuff, with the distant promise of another puzzle to solve. They are so few and far between that it is not worth playing if you came for the puzzles.
I did not play long enough to reach all the harassment and pvp none sense others have complained about.
I deleted it after it proved to be a squeeze cash for advancement type game that had nothing to do with the puzzles it was advertised as.
Apple are seriously derelict in the duty of care to allow false advertising on this scale.
It would seem that the 4.5 out of 5 score is also fake. The developer obviously pays for a massive amount of shill reviews to bump up the score as no one would ever download a game with 1.5 out of 5, which it where the real reviews would place it.
Update: the developers now have the audacity to shove more adverts explaining how all other games that show fake gameplay are rubbish and theirs is actually representative of the game play. You can’t make this up!
Another update after “Developer response”:
This game has almost NOTHING to do with the adverts. To say otherwise is straight up LYING which they are well aware of. Stop giving cut and paste responses to all the 1-star reviews calling you out on your fake advertising.

I finally got fed up and deleted this game, I tried it for a while built up to level 20 but, having been targeted or bullied by someone once two often, to find another General abducted and my Walls burning that’s it, while I felt some aspects were ok, like many other people I was drawn in to getting the game in the first place by the adverts suggesting it was a puzzle game. On one occasion I got attacked by the same player twice in a matter of minutes, I thought I would have a go at that person on my most recent incident when I was attacked and while I tried that another person from that person’s alliance attacked me again. Like a lot of others I feel things are stacked against you and you can’t really compete against the big boys so I won’t waste my time on it anymore.
I also wonder how many of the better players are professionals in the employment of the developer to perhaps get people to spend money in order to compete. It’s not an exactly fair playing field if it’s a struggle to improve and you keep getting attacked to slow down any possible improvement 🤔

This is another game that pretends to be something else. I downloaded it to do these fun puzzles but the game is something completely different. You get five little puzzles a day which at one point just repeat themselves. They are fun but are now becoming boring. The rest of the game is totally a war community building project. I’m giving it three stars because this game is actually fun when you get in an alliance and know what you’re doing. I have only seen two puzzles like the ones they are advertising and they are only between the levels when you finally level up which is very very time-consuming. The learning curve on the game is very steep and they are always trying to get you to spend money but if you meet the right people online they can help you enjoy it. But don’t be fooled into thinking you’re going to get the game that they keep advertising

The game itself has been created very well and it is good game if it didn’t have all the negatives it had. There are too many negatives with this game such as the bullies. There are narcissistic, and sadistic people that come onto the game, and spend at least £100+ and they love to annoy other people for the sake of it it’s ridiculous. Also, If you don’t pay for the game, it’s incredibly difficult to level up unless you spend your whole life without a single break playing this it’s quite pathetic. If you don’t spend any money you might as well not install it and try another game. Also, if you do spend money (I’ve spent about 4.49 on this) my game crashed and I lost everything and support didn’t do anything to help at all. I would not suggest installing it and you can look at the other 1-2 star reviews which I’ll do a quick summary of.
‘’Don’t let you or you’re kids play this’’, ‘’This is full of people that spend >£2000+’’ and ‘’The support didn’t help me at all and only said you’re package has been sent’’ I would highly suggest not downloading this game and if you do spend money you’ll probably not get it, I didn’t and other people haven’t. The levels on this game are quite decent and well made however it’s just the other stuff that I’ve stated ruins the game. It doesn’t matter if the support does reply, they won’t do anything but I would highly suggest not installing this as it’s a waste of time and money.

I got sucked in by adverts claiming that ‘this is the game with the pull the pin puzzles!’ - but no mention of having to endure a tortuous battle saga game that surrounds it. I have NO interest in playing that type of game. Once I’d followed the tutorial in order to get to the puzzles once, I was then left with no idea how to get back there and no interest in playing what is apparently the REAL game!!! Very disappointed. The advertisers obviously know that the puzzles are what people are interested in - or why focus the adverts on them? Why not offer a way to play “pull the pin” without the ridiculous role-play/battle nonsense? Now THAT I would endure ads or even pay for! As it is - I am NOT INTERESTED and will be deleting.
REPLY TO DEVELOPERS RESPONSE: “Dear player. We have same content in the game as advertised.” - NO, you don’t! Otherwise why would you have so many reviews like mine?!?!

If you want a fair playing environment then Evony is not the game for you. I can only describe it as playing football (soccer), kicking the ball at the goal and then someone moving the posts so that you miss. The customer support is terrible and they don’t even understand most of the features of their own game or how it should work. All they care about is taking your money. Evony will take your money for in-game purchases promising certain rewards as part of their big competitions but then refuse to give them to you afterwards. As far as I am hundreds of others are concerned this is FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOUR and THEFT! Changing the rules after the competition and before you give out the rewards is not acceptable. Some people have spent thousands just for these specific rewards. Stear well clear! And if you want a war game pick one that isn’t owned by TOP Games Inc.

Seriously, I updated the game this morning but the bug isn’t fixed relaying to the chat rooms both for world communications aswell as alliance ones.. I’m having problems and there’s nobody can make contact more than a couple of words if that, keeps throwing you out the game each time you try to message via public chat room..one repeated message just keeps coming up which is nonsense. Do something before we all leave the server..
and that wicked creepy bully is not a phantom.. she’s been at me for the past 3 days. And I hate this game now. The game developers don’t bribe a crap about how it affects just as badly when bullied via a game!!! Why doesn’t anybody do something about her ?

This game costs over $2000 to get anywhere with a realistic chance of being a strong player. It’s full of narcissistic and sadistic weirdos (who mysteriously seem to have >$2000). There are strange rules created by senior players that aren’t written down anywhere or communicated but woe betide if you break them (=any money you have spent will be wasted). There are secret offline chat groups for the most senior players that organise purges of players that don’t spend any money on the game. There are many ghost cities left by players that have ditched this game for the above reasons. Strongly suggest that you and your kids definitely do not play this game. Read all the many other 1 and 2 star reviews and then make your own mind up. After response from developer: If you’re not spending $2000, the only way to proceed in the game is by spending almost your entire life playing the game. The developers really don’t get it. The powerful alliances is exactly where the bullies are! Also, brilliant, notice how the other non-financial points on my review are ignored! They must be true!

Brilliant game in my opinion very addictive. What I absolutely HATE about the game is the server issues. I can buy a pack with my own hard earned money an when I’m about to open it server issues kick in an I lose my stuff. Literally vanishes from my inventory. Happens with speed ups. Anything that you open an it disconnected while you where say bye bye to your purchase. Since the new update the game has been rubbish slow laggy not the experience I started out with. Was just literally participating in the battle of chalons a war against other servers when the whole game froze MID BATTLE only to get a message rather abruptly saying server is undergoing MAINTENANCE during a live battle. Are you kidding me people what is going on!! Not good enough Part 2:- Don’t know what the actual hell is going on with this game at the minute. It is literally UNPLAYABLE!!! Constantly getting booted out of the game to not be able to get back in for AGES the amount of money I’ve spent never mind EVERYONE else ye think the developers would have enough money to make the game flawless!! That’s a joke it’s SVS now and I’m locked out. Instead of releasing stupid packs fix the game first. Look after ye customer they will look after you. This carries on I’m deleting it

This isn’t just a pay to win game, but also a pay to control the server and all accounts on it, like changing other peoples profile names and such, and if your happy to spend enough money, this developer will happily let you interfere with other players accounts. Not only that the developers will let you set your own rules and punishments for people who break the unwritten rules which are again decided by the person who spends the most money, even setting rules that go against the games tutorial or daily activities, cheating and bots are rife, online bullying and harassment is unbelievably bad. The game is full of glitches and bugs, game breaking glitches and bugs. And what support there is meant to be, is non existent. The bottom line is, if you give this developer enough money they’ll let you do whatever you want, even if it contradicts the games stated rules.

This game right from the offset, just makes you want to do more, it’s weirdly addictive and you build friendships with fellow players who are enemies but also fellow competitors who are in the same mindset.
You will meet folks from global entities far and wide, the UK, Europeans, North and South American’s, Russian folks, Far Eastern nations such as China Japan and the Philippines, Malaysia, Korean people and literally almost anywhere in the planet, only people I do t feel I’ve come across are the Australian and Kiwi nations but it’s a good mix of people that are passionate about winning. Furious about being defeated and hooked on a game which gives you just about every emotion you can experience, bad days 2/10, good days 15/10 😀

To be fair this is not a bad game although very expensive on the cost of packages in comparison to what you get. My issue is with the lag and bug issues which constantly happens causing you to lose items which you have purchased which you pay for and don’t get or when you do you use it the game lags out taking the items you used but not getting it I.e. you use a speed you press the speed up the game lags out only to come back with not only the speed up used but didn’t actually give you the speed up. I have had lag outs during battle causing me to get hit bad as there is nothing you can as you wait for the game to re-load meanwhile all troops have been wiped out costing you millions in resources and actual cash to replace. And customer services just fob you off with send us a picture then we will ignore you after that terrible service considering the amount of money people spend on this game.

First, they get you in: I got attacked by the puzzle solving, but turn out it is again an other battle game, don’t be mistaken. Anyway, once hoo hooked in cause you’ve already spend enough that you feel you need to play long enough to make it worthwhile, you start appreciating and make alliance. But when you start getting really into it, is when the disappointment grow:

Worst being the translation in the chat, works only when it want, and translation is so bad it generate a lot of miss understanding. (I know it’s not a chat game, but chat is key during battle and alliance attack, unfortunately!)
Sometimes you buy/get something from the wheel of fortune or elsewhere but it doesn’t appear in your stuff, so you paid but don’t get what you paid for. It may appear the next day, or not...
Your troups gets stuck while marching, my favourite, as you have to restart the game. Very convenient when you are attacking!
So as I said, game isn’t bad at all but very frustrating that with so much players and money made, they don’t sort it out.
On the positive, after my message I was contacted by Customer services and although they haven’t fixed it yet, at least it is goos to know they are trying 🤗

The game play is good and addictive. however the bugs in this game does not reflect the payment you paid for the in game packages. I am considering to take this game to the local authorities to protect consumer rights. When you play this game, the in app purchases enables you to grow due the items you choose to pay for. When bugs in the game makes you lose all the items you paid for and/or paying for the in game packages and not receiving them in your item box. then you are not receiving the goods and services you are paying for which is a good case for the local authorities to take on a million dollar company. Customer services will not help you get back what you have paid for but just make excuses. Play this game for free but Beware you have been warned, once you start paying money for in game purchases you are then at a risk of not getting what you paid for due to the problems in the game bugs that resets the screen you are on.

Very easy to get hooked on this game. You start off with the puzzle element and then a whole new aspect emerges with battles and team play.
Important to get in a good alliance very early, will help with growth. Make sure you put yourself in the newest server too otherwise you start light years behind the rest of the players in your game and will never catch up
Only reasons I give 4 not 5 stars , firstly customer services takes a long time to deal with glitches in the game, they have always rectify eventually but don’t expect it to be done within a month of raising the problem. Secondly this game is heavily weighted to the players that have and spend money regularly (although, very accessible for free to play players - just pick your targets wisely)

I play for the friends I have met in my alliance... although in the last 6 months one player has systematically singled out and bullied player after player until they quit so our server has turned in to a ghost town. This player will find out about your family members and send personalised mails attacking you, for example wishing sudden infant death syndrome on a new parent. If you talk in world chat he will tile hit your alliance for months and swear and degrade you all the while. Customer services do nothing about this bully, who has no alliance because there isn’t a single person on the server he hasn’t verbally attacked. Tickets are deleted and probably not even read. Add this constant bullying from a deranged man to the bubble glitches and bugs (that customer services will in no way even consider compensating for), the constant goal post changes that require vast amounts of money to compete against and you’ve got yourself a very expensive waste of time and money.
