Changed phone lost all purchases

I have purchased this application only to update and now it will not open, it crashes immediately. It is linked to the framework file being for iOS 14 and anyone who has a lower iOS will experience this problem. Do they not have beta testers who should be testing for these kind of issues. Then they can fix it or allow these customers on iOS’s below 14 access to the latest version that supports this firmware. Please can you fix this problem, thank you.

I personally love this game and have got many of my family members and friends to download it to play with me but I find it rather frustrating that if I wanted to play with (for example) one of my friends, I can then only fill the team with robots but would much rather play with online players aswell as my own teammates.
I also think we should be able to score “points” for the games we win and how quickly we win them, and hopefully be able to use these credits to buy characters/themes rather than actual money.
I think it is fair to ask for these things considering the game isn’t free

It’s okay - it all works fine in terms of function but I do have some complaints.
1 - it automatically fills in the notes for me. I would like to do this myself at medium or hard levels.
2 - in real cluedo, you pick a character to ask if they have any of the cards you’re enquiring after. Here, any character that has something has to offer up their card they have. It makes it too easy and takes away the enjoyment.

I really love the game with all its themes (got them all). It would be great if developers introduced more new themes with fantastic boards and characters as the ones we got have started to get boring a bit.
Currently Egypt and Wild West themes have some glitches when we’re playing with friends (Egypt on the Boat, Wild West on the Graveyard if I remember correctly).
Also, when I play with AI and choose for example 4 out of 6 characters from the certain board, the rest of the characters in Suspects category are also from the same theme which is great. But when we play with friends and do the exact thing, the rest of the characters are always default ones (from Tudor Mansion theme).
Could you please fix that issue so we always get a whole set of suspects from the theme we choose to play? It would be really appreciated. 🙏🏼💗

Great game but I’ve notice while playing and observing that there is a unpleasent game issue that dev should really fix to give players a much better experience. Currently even when players get the right combo of the murderer, weapon and location the game doesn’t then state they’ve won the game. Instead it gives them a hint with on screen message stating no other players have those cards and then directs them to look at their own card and then pick the other game option to reenter the combo again. This is a long complicated idea and from what i’ve seen (a number of winning players) lost the game after because they didn’t indersyand they’d won and assumed they enter the wrong combo and didnt see the resulting on screen msg. Please just inform them they’ve won and remove the extra hurdle having to reenter the wonning match. In the last game 3 people won and entered the correct combo but didnt understand they had to reenter it so the game continued for another 30mins before i left spectator mode.

Cluedo is my favourite board game so I love playing this! It’s fun that you have the choice to play against NPCs, online or with friends. I like the different location / character options you can purchase too.
However, me and my friends often struggle to play a game together as we find it freezes so frequently and there’s nothing we can do! So frustrating. Since this is an app we paid for I would expect it to run smoother.

We downloaded the game yesterday and have played 5 or 6 games, two of which we’ve had to quit because the gameplay just stoped and we couldn’t continue. I selected my cards to guess & the pc player showed me one of there’s, but my daughter device only showed me still deciding what to guess. The other time I made my guess and the first two players did not have any cards, but then it when it came to the third it just go stuck and we were forced to quit the game.

This used to be really good with only a couple of glitches playing numerous times.
Today a 4 player game froze twice, so we couldn’t finish either game. The first time about 30 minutes into the game and the second time after 20 minutes. Frustrating as had to abandon playing. All 4 players on Apple devices and we have all played together before so assume it is the upgrade that has made it unplayable.

I recently purchased this, and I love it. The only thing I have noticed is that the CPU players will actually play cards even though they have them to show. For example, I made a suggestion and Green showed me Green as a suspect, saying that it obviously had the card its selection, then on Green’s turn, it made a suggestion for Green as a suspect. Why would it do that if it had the card in its hand?

Love this game. And if you are fine to play against computers then it’s a great game. But trying to play with friends and online, it is extremely glitchy. I look forward to the latest update when you are a bale to fix the bugs. This is really one of our favourite family games. Myself and two sons are trying to play this morning and both games have crashed, one not even loading the first round. Please fix the bugs. Otherwise it’s unfair you have charged me for a game which essentially isn’t working.

Very enjoyable game however when I’ve played with friends we have yet to finish a game as every time we play eventually the game freezes and there is no way to continue. I suspect it’s when an internet connection is lost however if this is the case then I know of several other apps/games which instead of just freezing put you back on the game when you’re back online.
Can this please be looked at and resolved. I was all for buying the extra themes but with every single game with friends freezing I’m holding off until it is fixed.

Have attempted to play this game three times now since purchase and it continues to freeze.
It wouldn’t be so bad if the game was a free game, but we have all paid money for this game yet quality of it is so poor!
Notice from the last few reviews that everyone else seems to have the same problem. Developer needs to fix this problem as soon as possible or refund the money to the people who bought the game.. it’s it acceptable to charge for a broken game!!
Yet no response from the developer to most reviews!!

Great game but freezing issues

As the title says, I love the game and it’s a great digital version of the board game, I love how well, and how closely, it relates to it.
The problem for me has been in online mode. I get started on a game but then halfway through the other characters stop taking their turns, or it takes absolutely ages, and it sticks in a room with the soundtrack going (so not frozen in the traditional sense) but nothing happening in the gameplay. It is super frustrating as you don’t know if the game will move on or not but after waiting 5 mins or so I assume no and have to give up.
I only played 3 online games and it’s happened twice. The single player mode was fine.

Ok... my previous review highlited a bug when playing a full complement of AI characters and the game freezes half way through - Aaaarrrrgh! Hence 1 less star than 5. However, as with Monopoly (good game), the game developers contacted me directly to thank me for my review and in the issue I had with Cluedo said 'We are aware of this issue and working towards fixing it along with other issues that have been reported by our players. You can expect an update very soon! Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.' Can't ask for much more, as it's a good game that works over a wide range of operating systems making it accessible and fun to play. I'll eagerly await the new update and fix. Thank you Marmalade!

Very good and enjoyable. I especially liked the ability to add AI characters to fill out the game and it works really well… apart from the game seeming to freeze when playing with 2 players and 4 AI players. The music and sound effects still play and the buttons work, but the AI just stops and doesn’t progress to the next player. I can’t explain why, but it does spoil the game as we can’t reach a conclusion. This has happened twice on the two times we tried a full game. It did work with 2 players and 1 AI though, so is the issue due to the number of characters?

The basic game is here, but there’s not a lot for your purchase price and the 1.3GB download(!) With the limited assets - a handful of short videos of zooming into a 3d model, and a dozen static paintings of rooms - it should not add up to anything close to that!
Other ‘themes’ are available which would be nice to check out, but some of the advertised character art is of clearly poor artistic quality and there are no previews of the boards you are paying for at all… and worse, the prices are criminally high.
To be fair you can still play a basic game fine, but overall it leaves a slightly disappointing impression of money-grabbing bloatware.

This game is absolutely fabulous, I managed to get the season pass for 50% and oh my- this is the best game add on I’ve ever paid for and the game developers have done an amazing job with everything!! They portray and describe an old setting really well, for example, the Wild West and sherlock map, these developers know how to create an amazing, dramatic setting and use music that fits it.
It’s honestly absolutely amazing and I could spend hours describing the positivity of this game, I don’t have a single negative thing to say.

my experience with this app has been… ok. I suppose I do not understand the whole crosses and ticks thing and also the fact that the game makes you pay £30 for all the characters and boards which is annoying since I only expected to pay £3 for this game not £33. The gameplay is alright I just wish they explained it better and didn’t come back grabbing at you for money after you buy it. I am a really big detective and cluedo fan but not having the ability to get all the themes and characters just upsets me, seeing as I like to make my own combinations, but others may not mind, this game would be given a 5 star review if it wasn’t so pricey after you’ve already spent money on the game. this will take me ages to save up for but so what! I still enjoy the game and I love that you can play with other friends, play online or play with npcs, it’s a great advantage with not having anyone irl to play with. just please take into account the prices and explanation. Then it would be the best game of all time!

I love Cluedo, and this app is lovely. The detail on the boards is great! And I love the music.
However, it is buggy. It doesn’t fit onto my iPhone X screen properly, with the top being clipped slightly.
And it won’t restore purchases. I had a few boards from when I’d played before, deleted the app, reinstalled, selected “restore purchases” from within the app. The shop says I own them, but I can’t use them when creating a game.

I love the game so much! I got it yesterday and am already addicted to it! I love the way you can play online or against computers since I don’t have anyone to play with :(. The only problem I have with this game are the prices. I didn’t mind paying for the game but having to pay for different characters. To people reading this review you get all the original characters to the game for free but you have to pay for other characters that aren’t already in the game like Sherlock or Watson for example. I’d love it if you’d lower the prices or ( even better) didn’t have anything. But apart from that the game is amazing, no ads, no bugs and luckily just like the original game! I would recommend this game to anyone that likes mystery or even Cluedo itself since it’s full of mystery and exactly like the board game version of it.

This is a faithful port of the game without any real issues... The clue sheet could be improved and I don’t like the fact in multiplayer players can see you scribbling... I would like to see more characters added especially for the colours that have little or no choice. It would be nice to see some alternative characters in the other gender, for example Lord Peacock... A nine player version modelled after super Cluedo with the slack being picked up by AI characters... Overall, a pleasing purchase.

I have bought various boards and players in Cluedo through the iTunes App Store but having re downloaded the game I am unable to access my boards. I have clicked restore purchases which it says are restored but still unable to access them. I have taken screenshots but you don’t have anywhere I can upload them.

Great single player, didn’t work for multiplayer

Myself and 5 friends purchased the app so we could play online together. I played a few test games myself with the AI and loved it, just like the board game, I was really excited to play with friends. Unfortunately it just didn’t work. We were connected over zoom so we could chat while we played, 2 friends experienced incredibly slow game play, with their screen showing 1 or 2 plays behind. Then one friend just got kicked out the game and an AI took over. We tried two games and go so frustrated we moved back to monopoly. We all have good fibre internet connections so it wasn’t a connectivity issue. Very disappointed.

I love this app version of the game. Stylish, quirky and atmospheric. Just the right amount of animation between turns and beautifully realised visuals and sound. I like the logic of trying to work each unique game out and the comprehensive noting system really helps. One small gripe; I’d like to be able to play it by working out which card is which in each player’s hand, but it changes. The animation might show card 1 in the other player’s hand as a particular weapon, only to show it as card 3 in a later round. If there was consistency, there’d be an alternate way to use the numbering notes system and another way of working it out. It’s a small point in an otherwise faultless game.

I love this game I love the whole change in weapons outfits and rooms for different themes and how unlike some games I don’t feel like the cpu have an unfair advantage which is great!
HOWEVER and yes I love how there is online multiplayer I really wish there was pass and play multiplayer as I find it to be more fun. I understand it may be a bit hard to achieve when asking for cards however I think that it is achievable just for the option as I think it will greatly improve the game and definitely win them more stars
Another thing that I feel could be improved are prices as you have to buy the game AND all of the add ons and I get they need to make money from the game but I feel like I’d it was a cheaper price more people would buy it and then they would end up earning the same amount of not more.

I have been playing this game for a few months now and thoroughly enjoy playing this with my friends. COVID has moved us from in-person games to online games where we can get together and still have fun playing board games in an online manner. A few weeks ago I moved back to the UK, I was previously living in the US, and have found that in order to continue playing this game with my friends I had to purchase the UK version at an additional £4.99. As I had already purchased the US version having to pay again, in order to continue playing, does smack a little of greed on the part of the owners. Let’s face it if I bought the board game I would pay once and play for years!

Unbeatable hard mode VS 2 players

I love this game. It’s addicting and I love having my brain teaser. Easy and medium I quickly got through and went onto hard mode. However, the game is rigged so I can never win against 2 computer players. I have trialled various scenarios to test this and every time I get close, the game allocated me a low roll of the dice so I can never win. I can win hard mode on all other varieties of players but 2 computer players remains impossible.
The other players in my games too reach impossible deductions, again having been trialled by me and marking down all their cards and angles. They reach deductions that are strategically and statistically impossible, or the dice roll means I will never be able to succeed.
Love this game, fix hard mode. Please!!!

I would recommend it for everyone.
I only have one suggestion please. Once the Accusation is made and it it correct, the game, understandably, finishes. However, it would be great if the Clue Sheets could remain open so that we could analyse how the game has gone and see where we went right, or wrong.

Me and my girlfriend love cluedo so we downloaded this, well we found out that online games aren’t really online. We both decided to click at the same time and try get in the same game so we didn’t just have to play the 2 of us. Mid game she was like thanks for that card, by this time it weren’t even her go for me, found out it’s pretty much NPCs with online usernames and people online choosing their character, me and her were in the same game with the same people but different stuff going on. You can’t advertise it as a online game if it’s just NPCs with online names.

Bought the game for myself and 2 daughter to play. Game shares fine with the Apple family sharing, the add on’s sadly do not (the restore purchase option just states it was bought by another member). I’m not paying out 3 times just so we can have the same boards. Also when trying to play a multiplayer game with them it’s been impossible to do. Comes up to set a private game but the passcode won’t let you click it to share by message and we have been unable to find anywhere in the game where you would otherwise enter it.

Sorry, 4.6 stars - I think is a travesty, totally undeserved. £4 is expensive, for a game app. You go in - and this is like the ‘lite’ version would be. Then 90% of the content is behind paywalls and passes and whatever else suscriptions and nonsense.
It’s also just far, far, far too slow - I mean, absolutely no way to skip. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. the player pieces being hopped jauntily from square to square, individually? Even in real life you start to know ‘it’s five from there;’ ‘ten to there;’ and you stop hippety-hopping the pieces.
A poor experience, in mind of what a £4 Cluedo app could, should and really is probably expected to be by most people. (naturally, the developer knows this, hence the screenshots and video in the App Store give little true impression of the real gameplay users experience.)
Sorry, 4.6 stars, but I love Cluedo the board game, was excited about this app, and I just truly don’t think it’s very good at all.
I give one star because, yes, ultimately you can play Cluedo on it. You won’t want to but, to be fair, you could.

I couldn’t of been happier I only downloaded this app yesterday and it was amazing however it would be nice to choose your name at the beginning and change your avatar pic because I don’t want to be stuck as orchid I don’t like it but apart from that it is not a bad game in fact I wanted the board game but no one will play with me so I found this game and I was so happy to of found this game and the developer was so smart to of created this awesome app so I give 5 stars 👍👍👍 job well done

This app had the potential to be a fun and interesting game. But sadly, I have been nothing but extremely disappointed since paying £2.99 for this “game”.
Firstly, I saw this app advertised through another app and the video that was shown implied that it would be a fun action packed murder mystery game but it was anything but that. The game is so very boring, flat and uninspired all you do is roll dice (tap the screen) make an assumption based only on your cards (tape the screen) and then end your turn (yep, you guessed it, another tap) and wait whilst the npc players fumble their way through their turns and you cannot skip it or even speed it up, I have had more fun on similar apps that have been free!
Secondly, this app charged me a further £2.99 after I had uninstalled in at least 4 days earlier. I don’t know how this is possible as I have in-app purchases turned off so there is no way that the developer/s can justify the second amount other than what it was: theft, I am currently trying to find a way to get the 2nd £2.99 back if not both amounts.
So to sum up; if you love a game where your entire go is three taps, if you love waiting approximately 3-5 mins for your go and if you just simply adore being stolen from even after you uninstalled the app, then this is the game for you!

I really love this game.
I recently experienced a glitch, and I couldn’t see a way to report it? I hope it’s okay to report here. The issue was that I made a suggestion and the sound that the next player had a card to show me went off, but it continued asking the next players if they had a card. No one else had a card to show, and the screen with “No one had a card to show” came up. However, the player next to me had a tick, whilst everyone else had crosses. I hope this makes sense. I’ve never experience this before so I think it may be a new error of some sort. I hope it can be fixed quickly :) (I’m just a little salty as it made me lose that game haha)
Other than that, I’ve never had a problem!

This game has kept me entertained just in game play but it also comes with new maps and characters which keeps it new and refreshing. The only thing I have noticed is that there was different titles for the characters like Hunter Peacock etc but now their titles are gone so now it's just Peacock. I must say I preferred them with their titles more than without them it made each character more unique but I can see how it might be hard to make up names for characters. Although that is something I wouldn't mind coming back I have to give five stars great game and I can't wait to try out game of life.

REALLY happy to see this has made it to App Store. I am a board game addict and this is still one of my faves. Great images/ updated characters (with additional colors / floor plan available if wanted), sounds, useful note taking. If it eventually includes pass and play feature that will perfect it, anyhow I was happy to buy this.
Update: Now also have the train theme. Love especially the layout with its Istanbul-inspired decor, era and with characters to match.

Glitches a lot

We've had it for a week and play together with the kids but quite often the game freezes for one or other of us or it goes out of sync. Just played and my son was continuing with his move but my daughter and I could just see the conservatory that he'd selected and it froze there and we couldn't then see the other cards he'd selected. We were pretty near the end of the game so it was quite frustrating. Has happened a number of times now 😫

The game itself is excellent but when it comes to multiplayer online the game jams and the two players end up playing different games. If you sorted this then the game would be brilliant. I also think that making 3 people buy the game to be able to all play together is ridiculous. Me and my mother wanted to play together but to create a game we have to have 3 people meaning another person would have to buy it. I think this is wrong. We just wanted to play together.

Could be a 5 Star so easily! Devs please read :)!

This is my new favourite game available on the App Store by far! However... there are a few things I think the developers need to make available as soon as possible!
1. Be allowed to change your profile picture and name. Since I synced with Facebook I can not change either of these things, which is incredibly disappointing and annoying. As I want to be connected to Facebook, but do not want other players to see my real name and profile picture.
2. When you complete a game you only get your points added to an online leaderboard, which then resets and you have to start over. This is a good feature, but I think every player should have a game win count that stays with them permanently. Otherwise you feel as if you are playing for nothing...
3. Lastly, I think before you join a game you should be able to select which character you wish to be. As I payed for a Scarlett icon, but my icon always deselects itself when I join a game and I never get the chance to use the icon I payed money for. Which of corse is incredibly disappointing...
This game is fantastic, there is no doubt about that. Please however look into these suggestions as I think they would be fit the game vastly! :)

This would be a 5 star game if they improved multiplayer (suggestion below) and until then I don't think the game exceeds more than three stars.
Overall excellent game and well executed but...
The final piece missing is to open your private room to the public; let me explain the multiplayer in more detail.
Multiplayer you have two choices:
- Join a random game
- host a private game
The random seems to work ok, my suggestion is for the private game. What the developers should do is allow you to open your private game to the public. Reason for this is I don’t always have two people on at the same time to start a 3 person game (let alone a 6 player game). Most of the time there is one more person and without the third we cannot play together. However, if after inviting everyone available to your game, it would be great to open it up to those searching for random games and this enable me and my friend to play the game together.
Developers, I do hope you consider this suggestion.
On the positive side, the gameplay is brilliant, the looks are great and the developers have done a really good job in creating this. It does remind me of a PC Cluedo game I used to play a long time ago.

UPDATE: Thanks to the developers for sorting out issue so quickly. Am loving new theme - very festive and love the soundtrack. Well done developers. For future themes or updates would love to have weapons to suit - for example an ice pick, poker and ski pole for the winter theme.
UPDATE: whilst thrilled that multiplayer has arrived - frustrated that the new theme and players is unavailable to me even though I upgraded to the Ultimate Detective Package which said you would get future themes and characters. Maybe it is a glitch so hopefully the developers can check it out and resolve it. Love a new theme though - wish I could use what I paid for.
Love playing this.
Looking forward to the game being continuously refreshed with new themes and characters.
Would love it if the developers included the Super Cluedo Challenge characters of Captain Brown, Miss Peach and Mr Slate Grey in their original artwork. Would also love to play with different weapons (e.g. Poison, Axe and Blunderbuss).
Would be good if we could opt-out/switch off of the hints system - maybe have that in options as a happy compromise for everyone as some like to play a pure game.
Would be fun if there could be a statistics section with statistics about the previous games played - e.g. How many times each suspect has been the murderer, most commonly used weapon.
Lots of potential with this game and look forward to many more updates!

Good game and lots of fun but in the dozen or so games I've played Miss Scarlett or Dr Orchid seem to be the killer 80% or so of the time and the revolver also features heavily so not sure of the randomness of the cards chosen as the murder cards. Worth getting though just for the fun and to see if Prof Plum or Rev Green will ever be the bad boys.
Welcome update Dec 2017 with online multiplayer etc but keep getting ‘disconnected - sending message to server’ notice halfway through a game. Dont know if it’s a problem at my end or with the app. Very annoying!
