2. New Season of Conquest Story "Alliance Invictus" Pioneer Event Coming Soon!

New features in this story:

1) Alliance Outposts: You can upgrade any Alliance Flag into an Alliance Outpost. Not only do Alliance Outposts have all the functionality of an Alliance Flag, they can also be used to loan troops to your alliance. Your alliance leader and officers can use these loan troops to garrison buildings and launch rallies.

2) Alliance Flag Shields: You can activate a shield for individual Alliance Flags. A shielded Flag cannot be attacked for the duration of the shield. Shielded Flags cannot be used as the basis for building new Alliance Flags or launching attacks.

3) Curios: At the end of a certain Lost Kingdom Chronicles chapter, you will be able to claim a "curio". If a troop's secondary commander has a curio equipped, all units in the troop will be converted into a certain unit type (depending on the curio).

4) Support Skills: Complete quests from Bastion commanders to unlock their skills as support skills. Each troop can equip up to 2 support skills. Support skills do not affect garrisons or rallied armies.

5) Altar of Darkness Changes: While the Altar of Darkness is open, any governor with a troop inside the Altar of Darkness's province will receive continuous Honor Points (not just governors in the coalition that occupies the Altar of Darkness).

3. "Tides of War" Season of Conquest Story Optimization

1) Adjustments to Season Rules

- New Season Rule: When gathering basic resources in the Lost Kingdom (Food, Wood, Stone, or Gold), your alliance will gain alliance supplies (20% of the resources you gathered). Alliance supplies will be stored in the Alliance Merit Shop, and can be redeemed by alliance members with Merits. This rule will take effect for the entire Season.

- Increased the visibility of the following rules:

*If a garrison captain is reduced to 0 units through combat, it will not immediately return to its original city. It will remain in the garrison until combat has ended.

*In the Lost Kingdom, killing units belonging to governors in other camps will earn you Merits. Merits can be exchanged for alliance supplies in the Alliance Merit Shop. Unused Merits will be lost at the end of the Season.

You know what this game is brilliant. I didn’t want to get addicted to a game like this again as it does take up a lot of time. But it get you hooked.

However Having spent countless hours on the game I made a simple request to customer support whilst an event had two days left. (I made a mistake and wanted to see if they could reverse it. ) I expected a no but to not even get a reply I thought was really poor. Had plenty of time to reply by now as well.

I guess I’m not a big enough spender for them to listen to me.

The game is fine, and the different civilisations are fun to pick and play. But with any game like this its just a playground for whale bullies. e.g a much more powerful enemy can freely teleport to your city, demolish your smaller army, and then teleport back. Obviously the devs have to make money but the teleports are so broken that you can quickly be stuck in debt by being constantly attacked by OP bullies. Teleports ruin this game.

At the start of the game when you create your account, it gives you an option to pick your civilisation because when I joined Egypt was a new big thing, I picked it to see what all the hype was about Egypt. Great civilisation, but I stopped playing the game after sometime, when I came back to it, I wanted to change civilisation. I tried to delete my account and create a new one, but it sent me to IT support and the machine told me that they would get me in touch with a professional to fix my issue, but they never contacted me back I think you need to fix this issue

Before we begin the review, I’d like to say this review was written by 100s of notes written down by me and took me about 3 months to gather all the notes, Easter eggs and surprises up. I spent hours editing my notes and thinking about every word.

This very game, Rise of Kingdoms, is certainly one of the best game I’ve played for many diffrent reasons. The first main capitals of these ways is the experience. It’s a very satisfying game on mobile for brains who like to figgit. Another things is there are no ads when you do something which you have to do multiple times, like of course if you want a couple free time bonuses you’ll watch an ad if you WANT. I think that’s a very good detail this game being good. On the other side of the road of the ads subject, I’ll say it’s cool that the ads give you tips of how to get good quick like you have to pick Egypt to be good fast. I would write more but I am running out of space. Have a good day or night!

So when i started playing this game it was ok and nice and when I got my city hall level 11 I joined 5 alliances .One of them I left because I accidentally attacked one person from that alliance . Then every single person in that alliance attacked me and even if you delete the game and download it again they still will be attacking your kingdom. Also you have to pay for everything even to get a commander and there’s lots of glitches. Getting a legendary commander is almost impossible but the worst thing about this game is that you have to have diamonds for everything even to buy an statue or a water fountain cost 2000 diamonds. If you think getting diamonds is easy then your definitely wrong because you get 10 diamonds killing a level one barbarian and that goes up to level 23 ! But the good thing about this game is that it’s addictive , super fun and you can build your kingdom anyway you want / place anything where you want it . The most important bit about this review is that when trying to get power you get it, very very very slowly. when I look at other peoples kingdom they rarely have 20,000,000 power and regularly have 3,000,000/ 2,000,000 power. So if you don’t have at least 900,000 power in a week then delete IT! My rating would be 4 and a half stars

This game’s amazing, and I can’t see why some people complain so much. However, I have been experiencing glitching of the verification chests after every update, basically trapped in a loop where I cant do anything except talk to Support Desk (who are really helpful)

Edit: Maybe something may need to be changed; almost all the female commanders are wearing high heels (why), and Tomoe Goezen looks like she’s trying to reinvent the hourglass (honestly, if a person in real life had that thin of a waist, I would seriously worry for their health). Also, Æthelflæda has an amazing design (apart from aforementioned heels) but one of her quotes seems to me to be a little sеxist. It runs “A queen by title, but in deeds, a king.” That seems a little, like, I don’t know, saying that male rulers are better?! When either gender rulers are fine?

Anyway, apart from that and the glitches, great F2P game

Awesome game played for many years BUT beware you will put many hours in build your city, resources and troops only for clans to be able to zero you city when ever they feel like it - what does mean ? They can strip away everything you have built and earned example today been I’ll for several days only to find my clan has cost me over a billion in all resources built up, over half a billion troops in hospital I can’t heal. How is this fair to loyal players ? It’s not so if you put the hours in on this game beware the above will happen to you and if happy to have all your hard work erased then play this game if not don’t bother much better and fairer games ou there to put your into. This game is badly broken, unfair and un-balanced. C204 was the clan who zero’d my city if clans are wanting to kick members they should not be allowed to zero players this needs to be stopped by the game developer but it’s not. It can take months or more to built up your resources, army and city only for clans to take it all from you this ruins an awesome game so beware.

This game is very well made with kingdoms spanning from egypt to britain to china. It has good graphics and animations. Dont need to spend money to progress unless want to make progress a lot faster. I love how the game lets you make your very own kingdom and alliance. I even divorced my wife because she deleted this game off our childs phone which made made me upset cause they had 3million power (which is quite a decent amount). I even quit my job so that i could spend more time playing this game cause that is how good this game is. Luckly i found the love of my life on this game city keeper he is a big man with a big axe and if he was a man in real life i would 100% smash and marry. The music in this game is what i listen to on a daily basis it is a banger recommend it 100%.

The game is really fun I played the game for 4 years now and it has really good mechanics from creating your own kingdom and alliances to diplomacy which is really cool. But the game has a big downfall you see when you reach the point where all of ur buildings are maxed the only thing you can do to increase your power is training more troops , research and lastly improving the commander . The problem is the commander part as it is the most vital part in this game most commanders “that are good “ you have to get them from events and only give you a chance to get the sculptures for that commander and some others can only be gotten from the mightiest governor event. The thing is it’s more of a loop because in order to get the commanders from the mightiest governor event you require a lot of resources and speed ups in order to get that placement in the event and get the sculptures and usually you will need to spend a good amount of gems not only that but some of the event is about killing units and barbarians which will always give the upper hand to the more powerful players always which makes it impossible for a weak or medium powered player to get the commander forcing them to buy other commanders from the shop to give them better odds .The other event to get the sculptures is more of a money grab technically you can get the gems for free but it can take a really long time.

Don’t get me wrong; this game is great for history fans. However, the game gets repetitive and upgrades take hours. The only way to get new items is waiting for extremely long upgrades to be able to build them. It has nothing the ads showed featured in the actual game which I know is for marketing but they could have added at least a few things showed! On a more positive note, you can chose between several civilisations of the early ages to play as each with their own unique strengths. You can unlock several historical war leaders ( can’t remember names ) and ally your friends to rally attack several other players. The game helps you at the start and tells you what you need to do. In overall, if you didn’t mind the issues I stated and liked the sound of the games high notes, I definitely recommend the game as a fun pvp game.

If you like strategy games like clash of clans and other games , this is the next level , this is where you take your self to the ultimate level and it feels like you are always learning about the game and it makes it really interesting. I honestly would have dreamed about a game like this as a kid and now it’s all here in one and I can’t believe it. You can chose your civilazion and after you literally start in a map which you have to explore , make use of resources, join an alliance which you can move next to , help and become stronger and earn loads of perks by doing that. It feels like you can never not do something on this game which is crazy because you can get better if you really want. So far I’ve enjoyed this game and I don’t think I will ever stop playing it .

Rise of kingdoms has kept me excited from the first day I downloaded it. It is an amazing game with dozens of different features along the way. You can choose your own desired starting point from the Romans all the way to the Vikings, etc. If you enjoy games that include strategy, action, battles and lots of things to do the I recommend you download this game. This is my personal opinion but Rise of Kingdoms is one of the best mobile game ever. If you want to communicate with friends whilst you play make sure the download the game then tell them to join your alliance or the alliance that your in. Oh and I almost forgot by joining alliances you can interact with other players in your region. Send or collect materials to each other and rule the Rise of Kingdoms map! I’ve been playing in the same kingdom for around 200 days and am in KvK2. From early on it was apparent this game is pay to win, with players spending $1000s to obtain tier 5 troops and max tech and commanders to dominate the battlefield, making f2p players suffer.

Also MGE events where you get heads to summon commanders are near impossible for a f2p player to win, and to top it off many kingdoms make MGEs fixed to players who contribute the most in KvK. Although a good idea and tries to eliminate the pay to win idea of an MGE, those high spenders will usually be a top contributor as they have the best tech, commanders and troops giving them a competitive edge. Not to mention spin the wheel event in which some commanders are only available in these events, leading whales to spend thousands maxing out these exclusive commanders, furthering the gap between f2p and p2w players.

Post KvK1 people from other kingdoms can migrate in to your kingdom, meaning even larger whales who have played the game longer now enter your kingdom making f2p players have near no hope of being in top alliances. I don’t usually spend in games but I fell into the trap here, spending maybe 15$ a month just to keep my gem supply up so I can obtain exclusive wheel commanders as mentioned above.

Overall the game is fun and enjoyable, but it’s all consuming for f2p players to try and keep up with the big spenders.

As a 13 yo there is a hand full of good mobile games now(I know this sounds like I’m trying to promote the game am no)but strategy games like this are amazing I just installed it today and me and my brother have been playing it for hours and this game is the most addictive mobile game I’ve ever played a few times my game has crashed but I have loads of apps on my phone don’t think it’s the games fault I mean things are expensive like to get upgrades with gems but it’s really easy to get gems i can easily say me and my brother love the game and the developers have done an amazing job the graphics are good and is really well done the game allows easy access to gems and all the currencies instead of having to buy all of it with your money the game is very friendly to free players like the ads for the game I would definitely agree it’s the best strategy game of the year much better than clash of clans because clash of clans is t very friendly to free players this is honestly the best mobile game I’ve ever played ups to the developers

Truth be told, I love this game and have been playing for over 2 years, even spending £150 a month to keep myself somewhat competitive. But it’s getting to the point where that just won’t cut it. Events that benefitted players who put in some grind are slowly disappearing and being replaced by new ones which require spending to really even be able to get much from them. It used to be that a low spender could make up the difference between that and someone spending more by putting in the hours but every basic reward feature from barbarians to marauders have now been nerfed to provide lesser rewards. For a game with a revenue stream such as RoK, the developers are pricing out there own players and frankly I’ve never known so many players to have quit as they have recently in my time playing this. Its a worrying time for the Rise of kingdoms community, I can only hope Lilith realise their constantly moving goalposts and continuous ramming of new bundles down our throats is in fact, beginning to kill the game off. Perhaps that’s their idea, their profit margin is incredible yet they’ve never devoted the time or resources to it that this community deserves.

This is what I’ve been looking for as a game for the past three years! A perfect strategic game where it isn’t play to win or too overpowered! This game is brilliant from day one, alliances are actually helpful (at least the one I’m in), you can translate chat so you can talk to anyone and everyone (I learnt the Russian word for hi/hello in one day) and the progression is great! The fact you have to upgrade the Town Hall to level 8 before you can attack other cities is really great so new players don’t get attacked constantly. The War Frenzy buff means that players who just attacked you can’t put a shield on for a set time after, so you can actually take revenge without unfair gameplay. I’ve been a gamer for eight years, and there’s nothing like or better than this. It combines all the things I like from Clash Of Clans and that one merge battle game that’s popular, smashes them into one spectacular game as a whole!

Hello, I’ve been playing the game for more than 463 days. Till this day I’ve loved playing and enjoying the game. There was no other mobile game that I have played it for this long. However, I’m going to give a bad review because during one of my academy research, for a old reason the game bugged out and it didn’t allow me to ask for help( this means when you’re in a alliance you ask for help from your alliance members which reduces the time it takes for a building or a research to be reduced.) On my way to Tier 5 troops this is very crucial for me because one research without help is about 125days and that’s far too long. When you ask for help this is reduced to about 70days if not less. This is a great way which the game provided to us. However, I cannot utilities this because of a bug and I’ve been getting in contact with customer service to fix this bug and nobody is willing to help. Also to mention, I’ve wasted resources on this which costed me a fair bit, and to mention that this is being going on for about 3 weeks now and they still haven’t been able to help me. I do spend a lot on this game and I don’t regret it either because I have fun. However, currently I’m not enjoying the game.

It’s a good game where u can grow with your alliance and kingdom and smash other kingdoms.. to be competitive you would have to spend a few bucks here and there.. I’m a low spender probably spend around 40£ a month on this game.. only issue I have is graphic glitches,, normally a new glitch occurs when they update the game.. for example , you move your troops, the troop notification bar states they are moving, but on screen they are stuck in one place, really annoying.. another thing that annoys me is the verification feature, sometimes it pops up in times where it just gets in the way, when your doing race against time for example, pops outta nowhere and throws you off your game.. another very noticeable glitch is when you are in a major battle... when there are too many players on the field the fps becomes wayyy to choppy.. to the point where the screen just freezes and before u know it you can’t control your troops and their all dead.. my phone has 8gb of ram so it’s not my phone.. even with the features they add to reduce the FPS drop in big battles makes the troops look silly and still doesn’t work efficiently.. other than that it’s a really good game Lilith should add more events though, maybe same events but different maps if you get me the same events with the same maps and bosses gets boring after a while.

When first getting this game I was excited and optimistic. Right up my street. Don’t get me wrong, it is good. I’ve built a few accounts and made numerous friends. Enjoyed a plenty encounter etc.

The HUGE downfall in my opinion is the epic gulf in pay to play and free to play. Unless you have hours a day and are somewhere near like a guru you cannot compete with the Whales!!

For example. I felt I was experienced enough to start a second account, when my first started getting into the stages where it’s was taking days for upgrades. So I went through the intro etc. Went to join an alliance, only to find there were players already in the multi million power category. The kingdom had been open less than 8hours!! This happens in every kingdom. How can you compete!!??

I’m not condoning it as it’s each to their own. However I wonder why not just make a free to play server so to speak... just to even the playing field a bit...?

I cannot see this happening in the near future as ‘money talks’.

I have played this game for a couple of months now. First city helped me learn a lot but the server I was in was dominated by several huge alliances that told all the others what they could and couldn’t do. No fun at all so I waited for a new server and started again. I was there in the first hour of the new server. Imagine my surprise to see players already with huge power - they are called jumpers. I tried hard again and even spent around £20 to try to catch up. Hopeless, despite playing it basically all day so that no time was wasted for upgrades and I was constantly gathering the resources needed.

The game itself is great but make no mistake - you just cannot compete long term without spending a lot of money. It’s fun for a while but ultimately disappointing. As other reviewers have said, you can rise to a decent power level over time but you will never truly be able to compete at the same level.

The only way the game will prosper long term in my view is by splitting servers as P2W or F2P. Only in that way would it come close to being fair. If it did I would come back and play for sure but until then it will remain deleted and one of the most disappointing gaming experiences I have had. It has so much potential that is wasted for the reasons above.

When I first played the game I fell in love, it's a great way to make friends and to also kill some time. I've been playing this game for around 4-5 months and it's good and enjoyable. As a low spender I find it difficult to keep up and buy stuff as the prices start doubling everytime, for example- the VIP it starts off as 99p which is an amazing deal then as you go up the money starts getting more and more but not by a little it starts going up by a large amount, it goes from 99p to £5 to like £15 then £30 then it goes to £50 and £80 which is very annoying as I'm on vip8 now and I'm 1 more vip away from minamoto but vip9 is like £80 and I've already put around £300 into this game and I can't keep doing it. Everything else is great and just started my first kvk which is fun. I also have a suggestion of being able to maybe bubble up your farmers? So they can't get hit while AFK as this costs so much rss and speed ups just a thought and I'm sure people would buy them with gems.

This game is amazing, it is very fun, addictive and definitely deserves 5 stars. As a player who has not spent a penny on the game, it’s clear that you don’t need to spend money to get big in the game. There are many fun events such as KvK and different holiday events which give you limited edition items. You can play casually or competitively in your kingdom depending on how you play, which is amazing. You can chat with people from all over the world due to the automatic translation feature which allows creative freedom and you are able to chat with your allies without having to worry about language borders. However I have two problems. The first is the waiting times. It’s fast at first, with only a few minutes building time to help you level up quickly. But, for example, to get to the level 25 city hall it takes about 75 days to complete. This is kind of annoying as it can postpone gameplay immensely. Secondly, the translate feature doesn’t work the best. Sometimes it works well, but other times it’s hard to guess what your friend who speaks a different language is saying. It’s not a major problem, but can be annoying at times. However, apart from these slight faults, this game is incredible and very engaging. If you’re bored and need a good game to play, then I would recommend Rise Of Kingdoms.

I have played rok for about 1 year now and after all my time I’ve only spent minimum £500 even so I can still see the HUGE difference in f2p and p2p once I was in a server that had very little spenders but this meant that top 10-20 players was 5-6mil while everyone below that was 1-2mil this caused the top 5 alliances dominate ruining the game for the rest of the kingdom stuff like this needs to be handled me and countless others have emailed rok with a suggestion for f2p servers or limited spending servers this could really help f2p close the gap between f2p and p2p I think paying in these types of games is a way to speed up the process of grinding not put you weeks ahead of everyone else I hope you reply because I am interested to know what you think about my suggestion

I also play in a lot of Arabic alliances and have come to realise that the translation is very bad some sentences don’t even come close to matching what they actually say I hope this is another thing that can be fixed

I love this game!! I think it is great and I’ve already spent money on it. It’s very addictive haha. However, I’ve got one slight issue...the game keeps lagging and freezes constantly. And when the woman speaks saying “hello governor...” her voice keeps cracking up and it’s making my phone go all glitchy. And it goes slow on other things like out of time when i’m typing or pressing buttons it will only do it like 2 minutes after I pressed it which is really sad because it lets down such a great game with so much potential. I’ve tried everything to sort the problem...it’s not due to not enough space because I have 10GB free, it’s not due to it needing an update because I’ve already done that and I’ve cleared all my other apps so only 1 tab is open and it still glitches like crazy and sometimes even boots me off the game! I have an Iphone 7 as well by the way..please sort this bug out ASAP!! I really don’t want to delete the game because it’s sooo good! -Nicole

My nephew had played this game for a couple of days and nagged me to join him so we could join in an alliance. I did this and played with him on and off for a further two days and during that time, we had both built up our city and alliance having spent money on rubies and special offers (which I normally would not do).

Then this player (Sannada Yukimura) attack’s our cities- which I know is the purpose of the game- and defeated us - which is acceptable as part of this game. However, she continued to attack (me 3 times in a row and my nephew 5 times in a row) and left us with very little after all our hours of playing and spending money. This should not be allowed - attacking the same players until they have been left with little is not an honourable way to play and shouldn’t be allowed to happen - especially with a game where the players spend their money to build up their cities. The game needs to be updated to prevent dishonest players like her from being able to do this to other players who will never manage to get the ability to stand up to the likes of this person. Poor rate is due to the way that another player can ruin the game for others.

I enjoyed this game so much, I can actually say that I love spend time playing this during my spare times. There’s so much to do and well balanced. Me and my friends put a lot of effort into this game and when I say a lot I mean at least 12hours a day or more... but just like any other games out there, Free players has no stand in this game AT ALL, I mean AT ALL. Multiple times we got smashed by other players that is constantly donating to this game, you can tell as they have Commanders that you can only get by paying... and when you ask other players how they power up ridiculously fast obviously the answers is always to donate... Sadly, not just me but also others are feed up of this & decided not to play no more. Hopefully one day, whenever the developers decide to change this, I get back to it. And yes, you do a lot of free events for free but payer players also has access to this events which means it doesn’t matter if theres free events or not they still be on top because they simply pay. I just would like to thanks for creating such a enjoyable game but unfortunately just another pay to win game, It’s a shame the developers don’t see our side or don’t do anything regarding it since I am not the only one who is mentioning this problem.

Love this game, there’s so many different elements to it that keep my playing for hours at a time and the in chat translator makes it easy to chat to people from all over the world!

The only issue is as a low spender (as well as my alliance) we are being totally dominated by a play to win group. They attack smaller groups for trying to progress or leave their territory and force everyone to carry similar clan tags at the threat of burning everything they’ve been building if they don’t. There’s no way we could possibly beat them and it has already forced people to quit the game. I don’t know why big spenders would even be in the same server as play for free or low spending players. Surely if they were put in a server with other big spenders they could have a spend off and leave others alone to have fair battles for sanctums and alters etc.

Would only recommend if you’re willing to spend a lot of money or join a big alliance that do. Even then they may enforce their ‘rules’ and will turn on you and burn your city for stepping out of line. Big spenders take this game very seriously so beware if you’re looking for some light hearted entertainment.

I like games like where you use strategy and teamwork in order to succeed. I made such good friends and used to play for hours but now... I uninstalled the game and I don’t think I will play again until this is fixed. Unless you have a fat sum of money laying in your bank and you regularly donate, the chances of your alliance surviving are really small. Me and my friends who just wanted to enjoy the game and put a lot of effort in creating something... got our cities burned down,every time by a bunch of guys who pay money in order to win. This not only happened once but multiple times in different servers. You just stand no chance in front of those who pay money and have a huge advantage over you. It’s a great game but until the developers do something to separate the f2ps from p2ps and make the game fair for everyone, I don’t think it’s worth the time.

An advice for the developers that in my opinion will hugely change the game towards the better is to make separate servers for those that just want to enjoy the game for free and separate servers for those that want to spend money in order to compete and win.A great game but frustrating when you lose everything just because you have a huge disadvantage from others.

I really loved this game when I started playing. I have been in different alliances and leader of one. However I am becoming more and more disillusioned with each passing day. The game has become a game where smaller alliances and governors are bullied and forced out of the game. They are given dictates like join us and do our bidding or we will keep destroying you. The premise of the game is built round kingdoms which are governed by a select few who have a stranglehold on the game and what everybody else does, this only works if all members of the Kingdom are treated fairly not just the select few.

If you want to play a game that develops your skills that you have control over what you are doing and to be treated fairly then this is not the game for you.

Although a war game, the concepts of honour, fairness and skills get lost and individuals are forced into being pawns for the few. So if you do not wish this then it is not the game for you.

The Developers really do need to address this so that players are not forced and bullied to be pawns in somebody else’s game or to have to be destroyed continuously. Players pay their own money and give their time to play a game they enjoy where they are treated fairly otherwise they will continue to leave or just stop playing. It is a bullying culture that is developing and this is not good in any game.

Initially I would have give this game 5 stars but now given my experience this has dropped to 1 star.

I am giving it 3 starts because even though people say this game is purely P2P, which is true but I play F2P and this game is good enough for me and I do alright. Im giving it 3 stars because of some major flaws in this game,

One being the alliance search option when you search for an alliance even if you type everything perfectly it still shows that no alliance can be found. So you cant find or apply to join the alliances of your friends or the second wing of your main alliance. Its as if the search option is just novelty only to show that its there, but when you use it it’s absolutely worthless. Please make it work so that when someone types lets say [ABCD], all the alliances with that name show up and not an empty page saying nothing can be found.

Second being the report system, selling resources for real money or using bots is against the rules but when we report players for botting and selling resources for real money we have no option to do so we have to find the option that says we could not find what we’re looking for. Even then your report wont be responded to even if you give screenshots of proof. So basically you have players cheating in this game and when players try to report there’s no system to do so and even if we somehow manage to do it, players reported for cheating will never be caught or took action against.

Both these things affect this game’s credibility a lot. I urge game developers to work on this.

Played this game a fair bit now, starts of well and good at start of season everything was fine at first, the exploration was actually interesting for a while, raising an army, levelling a champion and gathering resources wasn’t a chore, killing the npc’s was fun and the social part was sensible and normal.. THEN.. the pay walls and the big spending bullies start boxing you in and everything that seemed fair and simple at first becomes a nightmare as times to train and build become days, gains and experience for your champions almost hit a stand still, resource requirement skyrockets meaning your week long build takes longer as it takes days to gather material and even killing the npcs with tv out one of the big spending bullies come and wipes you and your target. Caters greatly to those willing to fork over an unbelievable amount of money as even the mindset of “oh I’ll just spend a little on the pack it’ll help” stop as it won’t help and will barely make a dent in what you want it for. It’s annoying cause I like this game and am in a very good alliance with nice people but it’s plagued with mega spenders that farm and bully.

I absolutely love this game. The fighting, kingdom v kingdom. Growing your city, troops and commanders in this game is paramount. Lots of events all the time and it’s great fun in an alliance.

I only have one major issue, I haven’t been able to get on the game for nearly 3 days now, it keeps crashing. I contacted Lilith on Facebook and they gave me instructions on what to do, however I have asked them what will happen if I lose my account/progress as I am not sure if my account is connected to game centre. It was connected to Facebook but when I checked it said it has expired.

I have been waiting for a response from them for nearly 2 days and I am missing a lot on the game which will set me behind. Response times need to be reviewed especially if someone is unable to get on the game and at risk of losing their account which they have spent money on.

Rise of empire is a fun game. It’s a free to play game, the game is quite complex at first because you get shot straight in and get told what to do at first I was confused but I played for about 30 minutes and then got the hang of it. Here’s a bit of information about the game, the game has cheap prices for when you start the game and also you get so many rewards that you basically never run out of materials lets say you complete a quest and it just gives you another and the rewards are fair as well. You can join your friends in an alliance and fight together thinking and trying to come up with a strategic plan for defeating someone’s base or a monument. The game as well gives frequent gems and short cuts when playing so if you are waiting you can decrease or Even skip the whole timer. There are endless pages of quests, I just can’t get over the fact that there is so much to do. Also there is many different countries you can play as which change your whole game. There are different ages In the game like Bronze Age , Iron Age and many more.

I’ve been playing this game for about a year. In all that time there has been a severe server connection issue with this game. Typically during 30 minutes of game time my connection will be kicked by the game on average about seven times. Sometimes it is much more often than every three minutes. There are elements of the game I cannot play because of being kicked. My WiFi connection averages 33 Mb/s and uses a fibre optic 50 Mb/s to the router. My iPad Air was bought new in 2015. I play many games of this type on it and this is the only game that constantly and incessantly kicks my connection. I can not recommend it to anyone who plans to use an iPad Air to play it. I have contacted Lilith three times in the past about this connection issue and nothing has been done to improve the situation.

Review update folks, I’ve found out that this game needs at least 2GB of RAM memory to run smoothly, curtesy of Lilith games. So it would seem that it can’t be played on any iPad with less memory than that, which means nearly all the older iPads. Guess I won’t be playing it much longer. As far as I can determine, the only iPads it will be trouble free on with regard to RAM memory are the iPad Mini and the iPad Pro (3GB & 4GB RAM respectively). Apple Support are now aware of this since I talked directly with them about it.

I love this game, I really do. I have a level 25 city hall and I have around 19 million in power without spending a penny. Yes, like any game spending real money will speed up your progress etc but all of these reviews claiming that you will only be successful if you put your hand in your pocket just simply are not true. There are constant new challenges keeping you interested, plentiful rewards and many different aspects to the game. A few reasons why I like it so much. As far as “free” games go this is right up there.. BUT.. I currently play on an iPad mini 3 and this game CONSTANTLY crashes. I have more than enough free space etc but I’m lucky if I get more than 5 minutes of uninterrupted play. This is particularly annoying if I’m in the middle of a battle as by the time the game reloads I have been defeated, costing me massively in resources as well as the time and effort to recover. I feel I can’t properly engage in the game as I am constantly worried it will crash. Please please please resolve this.. at times it becomes unplayable and I desperately just want to play this game as it should be played. Again, I’ve not spent a penny to get where I am in the game so perhaps it’s a case of “it’s a free game why are you complaining” but with the shoe on the other foot why in my right mind would I spend a penny on a game that crashes more often than not? Please fix!

It shows that a lot of you people have not been on the game long yes u can spend money but u do not need to just be patient use your rss wisely and pick your battles wisely I have been on the game a few months have not spent a penny have reached a lvl 23 ch about 15million power the kingdom u are describing is a new kingdom we have single people in our kingdom higher than that we have alliances with over 3billion yes I said billion yet I am still here the biggest problem at the moment is the game keeps losing signal hopeing this upgrade sorts this problem or I will b moveing on I can remember when you used to spend £50 to get a game and if it was no good u were stuck with it at least u can leave and go to another game if u don’t like it free of charge after all this is a business to make money but gives u the option to play free or if u want u can pay so enjoy it or move on and leave it to those of us who do thank you

This game is amazing . I would reccomend it to anyone . It does have its flaws , i have been playing for 180 days and someone whos played for a week can be stronger than me due to spending large quantities of money , but this happenes in many games so i dont see it as an issue , without people investing into the game , the game couldn’t continue so pay to win is a good thing . People complain about how some kingdoms are ruled by unfair leaders . My response to this is that migration is allways an option , and jumping to a new server is also an option . This game fills up my day perfectly . I spend so much time into the game and every second is worth it . Although the game should add free to play kingdoms or help free to play players with rewards and special events . Another issue is books of covenant , there needs to be more ways to get them .

The graphics is better than other games of this kind, the game play and rules make it more enjoyable to play. It is light-hearted, doesn't take itself too seriously. I got quickly bored with other civilisation games but this one has many features that make it highly enjoyable. The music is sensational and the voice over artists well chosen.

Update: after having played this game for a while now, over a year, I can say I agree with the those who say it is a Wild West out there and those with money dominate the game. Not only that but they are free to ruin it for others by zeroing them in effect damaging them financially. I am in Kingdom 62 which is a relatively ok one to play peacefully although I got zeroed on my farming account once. I have been in another one too and constantly got zeroed so I’ve abandoned that account altogether. Luckily I have spent no money on that.

There should be a limit to how much one player can be damaged. I have seen good players on Ch 25 completely zeroed by others and thus sent back to Ch 24 and as a result abandon the game. I have also abandoned the Lost Kingdom because the losses in there are just silly. I am willing to spend some money but not all of my money.

Also the last two days I’ve started getting “Server busy” messages in effect unable to log back into the game for minutes which is quite bad if one is in the middle of a battle.

So I started playing this game a while ago, I built a fairly powerful alliance and kept expanding. But then I realised, after you’ve built an alliance and ruled the kingdom, there isn’t anything else to do. I wish strategy games didn’t have an ‘end’ and you can develop your city. Another problem I had with this game is that the city area is just too small. You should at least get given more land or buy areas with stone, wood, or gold. Another thing is once an alliance is built and is very, very powerful, you cannot build your own alliance and have fun because the strong alliances crush your alliance, making you miss out on all the fun you have building an alliance and teaming up. Also I wish there was someone who monitors the world chat, it doesn’t really have a use and there is only usually spammers, and people who talk about things completely unrelated to the game. Really enjoyable once you start playing, but gets boring quickly over time, and that’s why I have decided to rate Rise Of Kingdoms with 3 stars.

I’ve read a lot of reviews from players moaning about taking 6 months to get to level 21-22 and being attacked all the time, also saying you need to spend thousands, you don’t. It took me 90 days to reach level 22, which is quite a good level. I’ve spent about 20 pounds on packs in this time which isn’t bad, as it’s less than you would on a PS4 game. Just find the right alliance, a lot of them are rubbish I know, maybe I got lucky with my alliance, but it helped me a LOT. I didn’t join kvk event at all as I didn’t want to waste my resources, I wasn’t strong enough. So whilst it’s on just keep your head down and place your base in amongst a good bunch of alliance members, so you can all protect each other. Also if your able it’s a good idea to farm whenever you can, even use a couple of minutes at work to send farmers out.

This game is initially good and fun to play, lots of stuff for F2P players to keep them occupied and lots of opportunity for people who are willing to spend to power up. The problem with this game is the end goal of appointing a ‘King’ - (ignoring the fact that it’s a sexist concept for a second) it leads to the utter domination of thousands of people by a few high spenders. It means you are unable to do anything without their permission and if they decide to get involved in a dispute then you have little to no control over the outcome even if you are in the second most powerful alliance. Once you have been completely destroyed by another alliance it is difficult to recover unless you spend huge sums of money as a result of the deaths/hospital system. In summary unless you are prepared to spend $10,000+ early on within a kingdom or agree to do the bidding of someone who has then this game isn’t for you. If you want a game to play as an escape from your real life of being told what to do all the time then this isn’t for you. I would probably suggest playing FarmVille as an alternative as unless you want to have to start all over again every other day then farming is about all you can do and for 2 days a week you can’t even do that.

How irresponsible and greedy the developers of this game must be. I have many points I would like to address but first and foremost: THIS GAME IS NOT FOR CHILDREN - it is new age gambling, very addictive and full of bullies who are homophobic and offensive 24/7 on a group chat that isn’t monitored in any way shape or form. I find it shocking that these developers seem to only care about getting hundreds of pounds out of their players and don’t care whatsoever about their welfare. Parents be warned - should a player get attacked on the game they are immediately offered a ‘get back on your feet’ package in the price range of £50>£100 to fast track back to health. A couple of quid I can understand but these players are spending THOUSANDS OF POUNDS on this game. It is insane. And more should be done to ensure that the vulnerable people of this world aka children and those with gambling addictions are protected from greedy apps and developers like this. This is my honest opinion. The game may be good but only if you’re willing to go bankrupt to play it. Stay well clear or pay the price. Literally.

As pretty much any gamer knows, free MMO games are rarely truly free. Servers and new content cost money to create, and developers aren’t running a charity service. Therefore, they need to monetize their games to pay for those things and to pay for their time. Unfortunately, most games give insurmountable advantages to big money spenders that free players simply cannot achieve. This is pretty frustrating, even gamers willing to spend money, because it means everyone has to pay just to keep up. The ideal system encourages players to spend by providing options to supplement a fun activity, rather than putting that fun activity behind a paywall (commonly referred to as a pay to win or p2w game). This is 100% p2w and there’s a massive wall for free players they will never enjoy the benefits I spent little on this game before I saw the maxed out players who troll you over and over and attack you until you quit there server and have to start the game over losing any real money you spent on the server before and when you join and start a new game you see max players around you i have had enough of it RIP deleted seemed good but so unbalanced they say the release new servers when alot of people join its bull crap .

In general I think this is a fantastic game and one of the best that I’ve played in a long time. The graphics are good, it had me hooked from the start, the number of rewards keeps you motivated to keep going, it has a good flow and there is plenty to get your teeth into.

Saying this, I am very new to the game and I did find there to be a lack of tutorial at the start therefore it took a little while to get to grips with everything that the game has to offer. And the main negative point for me, is due to my lack of experience, I joined a fantastic Alliance however have been unable to teleport to their adjacent land due to them not having hold of the Gate despite me having a Territorial Teleport. This has been somewhat frustrating as I am restricted with how much help I can provide and I am too high a level to use a Beginners Portal. If the Teleporting problem was not an issue this game would have received a 5* review.

Overall great game and very addictive.

So I dedicated an entire day to this game and I mean a entire day... The game seems pretty fair, I haven’t put any money into it and I’ve managed to grow my civilisation quite quickly and for a begging become kinda power. I’ll admit like most apps if you put money into then you will have a clear advantage over most players who don’t. Saying that to be fair I honesty think if you put the time in you’ll become better then most people who put money in. The graphics are pretty up there, I was impressed with gameplay of it and the amount you are able to do also. Would defiantly say if a group of friends got the game and helped each other it would become a lot more fun. 100% join an alliance as soon as possible as this speeds up EVERYTHING! So overall I would say good fun and enjoyable, would defiantly give it a try if your thinking about it. Not too bad for a demo 👍🏻

Played these kind of strat games for a few years now and I must say besides War of Nations when that first came out, this is one of the best I’ve seen. It’s a really fun and addictive game, simple but also very tactical once you’ve climbed power and start fighting/wars.

I must say however that I have found attacking others bases and etc a little pointless. I wish they would up the competitiveness of the game and allow troops to die inside the village as well as adding some kind of outpost structure to the game, even if it’s just 1/2 outposts you can build. Similar to games such as tribal wars where you can actually lose personal (not alliance) territory.

Overall this is a really good game and I recommend playing it. I’m sure i will continue to play it as I think it’s by far one of the best of its kind out there at this moment. No games perfect, but this sits nicely close to it.

Well where do I start, the game started well and was quite good fun. There are a lot of good features which at the beginning I enjoyed. However, if you want to progress beyond a level fifteen city you have to spend money. Having the ability to gain territory is a great idea in theory, but as soon as the wallet warriors get started the ability to expand your alliance territory greatly reduces. Therefore this inhibits personal growth because if you farm tiles in their territory you get attacked. Now the passes have come in to play, and unless you are part of a wallet warrior alliance you cannot explore other provinces. So because of this and the inability to grow once you get past a certain point without spending thousands and thousands of dollars makes this one of the worst games I have played. This game is even worse than invasion which operates on the same sort of principle. I don’t have a problem with people that spend their own money but you need to cater for both types of player which in games like this will never happen.

I’ll start with the good points. It is great game with great system for upgrading your base and troops. Forming rallies within your alliance and attacking other alliance. The expanding territory and the tower system is great. The goals system where people work together to get rewards are great.

I really would normally rate this a 5 star game but there’s one major problem. It’s people buying their way into power. I understand that the game has to make money but it’s gotten to the point where it’s not fun to play. There is always one alliance where it’s players that is willing to spend a hell of a lot of money to be the best. (I mean at least a couple 100 pounds easily) My latest alliance that is in the top ten(so not weak) got stomped on by one guy in the top alliance and they had 20 guys that were just as powerful. I wouldn’t be surprised if that alliance could take on most the server by themselves without breaking a swear. If people can buy their way into power to that extreme what’s the point of playing? Also this is my second review as my last view got deleted.

It’s a awesome game don’t get me wrong but the age should be well over 9 because of how uncensored the chat is. It’s also a very unbalanced game, due to the fact that you can just get attacked over and over again and it almost makes it impossible to play the game. If I was to give ideas on how to make it a better game it would be that, 1. When you start the game you start in a low level world (noob world) until you get to level 9-10ish then you immediately go into the real world (obviously allow no clans in the low level world) 2. We need more of a tutorial to this game, because in my opinion it was so hard at the start to figure out how everything works that I was just wasting certain speed ups/Boosts etc... and 3. You need to reduce the amount of time it takes to upgrade stuff, it’s getting to the point where it’s taking 3-4 days to upgrade/gather enough resources to even upgrade!! But again don’t get me wrong, this is one of the best games I’ve played in a really long time. Definitely worth a download in my opinion.

I picked this game up 4 days ago with my friend and I wasn’t expecting much. To my surprise the game was fantastic, they was always something to do and progression was fast due to the sheer amount of speed ups, boosts and gems they gave you. I was immediately hooked and couldn’t put my iPad down. I’ve already put over 48 hours into this game and not one second of it has been boring or not joy-filled. You don’t even have to put money into the game and if you do it still doesn’t give you a highly unfair advantage. This game requires a lot of time but in the end that dose the matter because the amount of enjoyment you get. I can hardly put into words how fun and entertaining it is.

They are a few issues though which are expected with an MMO as big as this one. Every hour or so the game has a tendency to crash which can be annoying when you are raiding barbarian huts or actual people. Also lag spikes happen once in a while which can also mess up you. Other than this though, the games truly amazing. A definite 5 star game for me.

The game is a cool concept and it looks very nice. Cartoonishly good graphics. All the rewards you get are nice in regards to exploration and levelling up your base. Speed ups are frequent and various in type. Rally and reinforce are there and large guild sizes. These are it’s good points. The bad points are that unless you are willing to spend money you will become a farm for someone who does. This is very common. People quit over it in multitudes. The server I am on has a 71 million power alliance and this server has been alive for just over a week. And there is more in the various provinces on the map. The game will ask/invite you to buy a pack upon your first big defeat and will continue to do so every time it happens. Good advertising there! The chat seems to be uncensored and unmonitored so you can expect to read and even hear homophobia, racism and sexism. Be warned! You will be laughed at and abused should you even dare to complain about a player who has repeatedly attacked you for 7 hours straight and the attacking will continue. Bullies are commonplace and even encouraged by certain alliances. So do not expect a fair game of skill and tactics. Money rules in this game and it will until it dies. This is my opinion on this game. I hope it helps.

This game is a great blast! Yeah it has minor optimisation issues which is to be expected, but there are a few issues I have that I’d like to make aware to the developers.

Firstly, as a leader of a semi large clan, I find it quite confusing being thrown in the deep end with clans. I found it very difficult to learn what certain things meant (such as the clan coins). Another problem I had was many of my clan mates wanting to move to me but they couldn’t because they thought they had to buy a targeted teleporter instead of realising they had a free one (probably because it never explicitly mentions these things in an information box).

I also find combat quite confusing. I’ve raised many bases but they seem to set on fire and I don’t appear to get any loot. The bases also remain on fire for ages and nothing has happened to any of them. It doesn’t feel to rewarding conquering enemies and resource deposits, but maybe if you could conquer them and then build and add to them like they were secondary bases it would make more sense.

There’s also a huge influx of gem bots in the global chat, spamming the same messages to try and scam people for their own gains, but that’s more than likely unstoppable.

Again well done on this game, me and my mates are having a blast. Can’t wait to see what future content brings (and whether or not we will be able to have more than one base on one character).

Graphics are good and it is a very addictive game. There is the fact that I can remember that pretty much the entire concept (building hoards of troops and equipment) has been done before, only this time it’s prettier.

I have only played it for a few hours but can see how it panning out. I’m sure once my peace shield runs out, I’ll just get smashed by alliances and players millions of power points higher than me and have all my resources taken.

My last point of note is that, though there are ways not to have to buy things to win, there are quite a lot of ways to spend small amounts of money, £3-5 on packs. Now this is both a good and bad thing. Small amounts of money is good but I believe the developer has decided that lots of small costs will encourage people to spend more in the medium to long term because people will only see it as a few quid here and there.

I will continue to play and though I have my gripes, have given 4 stars due to the good gameplay (though recycled), good graphics and as far as I can see, you don’t need to pay-to-win.
