Photoshop on the iPad opens the same files as Photoshop on your desktop (macOS or Windows) using cloud technology, so you can stay in sync across all your devices.
Use Photoshop with Adobe Fresco
Take your artwork to the next level using Photoshop together with Adobe Fresco, our newest drawing and painting app with vector, raster and live brushes. It’s included with a Photoshop or Creative Cloud All Apps membership at no additional cost. Your Photoshop and Fresco documents automatically sync and save to the cloud.

What's New in Version 2.4.2

We've got an update this month to fix some critical bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug where transforming a smart object would freeze the canvas
- Fixed an issue where layer data may have been affected when opening large documents on older iPads
As always, we welcome your feedback as we continue to update and improve the app. Send us your ideas, suggestions, and thoughts in the “Suggest features” section of the app!

I’ve used Photoshop on the desktop and other platforms and was hopeful for the stability of a big branded product. I’ve started my latest design only to find the app crashes CONSTANTLY. I’m not sure if it’s just me but photoshop is not working well, as soon as I enter the app it just crashes and I can’t even do anything. I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling and coming out of it then back it but it still doesn’t work. It’s really annoying. I did so much for it to work but still, nothing happened, I even made a whole new Google account! And I also update my whole IPad for it to work! Nothing happened after I had gone through soo much work!!! I was really looking forward to using it but it’s just a disappointment...please can you fix it😡

Version 2.1
I made an account and then the app started loading and then it took me to this screen where it was asking me to subscribe to get a one month free trial and I didn’t want to subscribe there has to be a way to have less features. But still able to use without paying but nope there was no cross so I couldn’t get rid off the screen. I even tried signing out but still the screen was there.
I was extremely exited to see what I could edit. I’ve seen great reviews on how good of an editing app it is. I my self do love editing so when I heard that one of my favourite YouTubers used this app to edit there videos I was extremely excited to see what I could do. Then was very disappointed on how I could get the app for free but not actually use it.

Version 2.1
It is great to see Photoshop on the iPad but there are still so many features missing. Yes, I know they are rolling them out gradually with each update but the competition is wiping the floor with you Adobe.
Affinity Photo for example, is already a full size very capable desktop equivalent for iPad and is to be honest what all of us expected Photoshop for iPad to be. If they can do it so wonderfully, why are you guys taking so very long.
Dont get me wrong, I have been an Adobe user and fan for many years. I use Photoshop and Lightroom and a host of your other products a lot.
I really WANT to like this iPad version but you really need to roll out more features, more often.
You are now so very far behind that I fear you wont catch up and your customer base will leave you for the (absolutely outstanding) competition.

Good but needs a few more adds

Version 2.0.3
I am a portrait photographer and use the desktop a lot. There are a few things lacking in the app but overall it is a good foundation. It was never going to be the full version from launch, that will no doubt happen over time.
I also think that if you are new to Photoshop it is a useful app to gain knowledge and experiment with the key elements of the Photoshop concept.

Truly terrible, just get affinity photo

Version 2.0.2
Got my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil as a replacement of my longtime usage of my MacBook and Adobe photoshop. But wow is it bad, the features and editing are painfully lacking forcing me to settle with very subpar designs, I would pay the £5 or maybe even £10 outright for the app, but monthly?? For that? On top of which this version of photoshop would crash consistently, really ruining the flow of my work. Nah, I’ve switched over to affinity photo, which I recommend as it has psd compatibility, more editing features and instead of monthly payments just an upright fee. You’re welcome.

Version 2.0.2
This combined with Lightroom will be so powerful as soon as the app becomes a little more efficient, as in my short term experience with the photoshop side it has lagged out heavily on a few occasions where as the Lightroom app is very much almost there! 😊 also as a fashion / portrait photographer in the situation I am travelling and want to rely on these new versions of PS & LR & my new iPad (travelling light) I’d love to see more streamline ways to retouch photos or even built in frequency separation, that would be perfect!
Keep up the great work Adobe, excited for the future of these apps if I can gear my process more towards just using my iPad 😌👏🏾

Too unstable - keeps freezing and losing work

 –
NathanF2012
 –
2020-12-16
Version 2.0.2
While the lack of features compared with the desktop version can be frustrating (annoying to find I couldn’t just open a psd file on my 6th generation iPad that I had set up on Mac to be able to sketch with Apple Pencil, and vice-versa), I’ve found that the app is very unstable.
I’m trying to add colour to a pdf sketch of a site layout, so not a massively complex or large file, and the app just keeps freezing. I’m still able to zoom in and out and select tools, but they don’t work. Then when you try to come out of the drawing to save (because you can’t just hit a save button), it just says preparing to save and sticks at 10%. Only way to unfreeze it is to close the app and then lose whatever work has been done since the last save. I’m having to save after every few commands in the hope it doesn’t freeze to minimise the work lost. Either way, it’s taking twice as long at least to complete the project I’m working on.
Happens on both latest iOS (14.3) and previous iOS. Just very frustrating - would have expected much better from Adobe

Does the Job but Unreliable.

Version 2.0.1
I use Photoshop daily on my IPad Pro and to begin with it was doing everything I wanted. I only use the basics, change opacity, masks, layers, cut, that kind of thing.
A week in I found some tools were not working and to get them working would require a restart of the programme. Outside of the programme I use Dropbox to import / export files which for some reason stopped working, another bug perhaps? Big hiccup in time management, now this, no brushes.
On top of the missing essentials such as the shape tool, polygon, effects and smart images, all together it makes for a weak comparison to others on the market, especially for the price.
My best advice, switch to a competitor. There are more reliable, consistently effective, better options available with no monthly cost and a much bigger toolkit at its disposal.

Improved- but needs work

Version 2.0
This app has got better over the time since release, a lot of important features are still missing- like being able to create shapes and lines and different gradients, as well as making colour swatches/palettes. It works well for minor touch ups to be edited on pc usually but has began to crash so often it’s unusable, this will hopefully also be fixed in future updates as for now it’s possible to lose progress every 2 minutes

Too expensive for what it is, Just get affinity Photo!

Version 1.6.0
I have been a Adobe customer for the last 10 years, things were great until they started the subscription model. I was silent when they shifted over, I still used adobe products because I felt I didn’t have a choice. I was excited about PS for iPad but when it launched and they were still charging a subscription fee for this half baked app, I had enough. That’s when I decided to leave the Adobe ecosystem, life didn’t stop. I am happy with all the alternative apps. Best thing? I own all the apps I have paid for, that’s the cherry on top. That’s my review, I think it’s the only 2nd review I have ever written on the App Store. That should mean something.

Woefully inadequate

2020-07-10
Version 1.5.0
So much for the “full” version of Photoshop on the iPad. Almost all of the features I use as a surface pattern designer are missing. As is, it’s a very very basic photo editor. For something that’s been in development for years the app is pitiful. For anybody looking for a fully featured photo editor Affinity Photo is much more fleshed out and offers the full desktop experience and is available for a very budget friendly one off cost. Kind of puts Adobe to shame when you see what can be done. I know Adobe say more features will be added frequently, but so far all we’ve seen is a few minor updates adding tools that should’ve been available from launch. Very disappointed and another reason to ditch my Creative Cloud subscription for good.

Version 1.4.1
I love the desktop app of photoshop, it’s been in my arsenal for over a decade as a designer and I was excited to see how it would perform on the iPad, though some of the features are great, the sheer lack of other key features makes this app pretty useless at the moment. If I want to sketch I will use Procreate, and if I want to design il use photoshop, how wrong I was about the latter. The app needs more functionality for it to be used for design work on the fly, things such as; align tools, smart objects, more text editing options, maybe even an iPad version of typekit down the line.
i feel this is a good start, the UI is great so far, but for photoshop to be photoshop it reall does need more of the basic tools to be of any real use.

Version 1.3.2
OMG did they even get a designer to test this pre-launch. I don’t know how long this has been out and I see the specific feature I am going to mention is coming... But when?
Shapes - I can’t believe I can’t even create a rectangle, circle etc. This is probably the first tool you would include in the first round of development.
What I do love is that the gestures feel natural and quite intuitive from desktop to iPad, something that is not quite right in other design apps.
Basically this current offering is pointless, unusable and not fit for purpose. I look forward to having the basic core included so I can retest, however I suspect i’ll use for another 10 mins and find something else integral missing.
I’m available for testing Adobe!!!

Version 1.3.2
I would not 100% rely on the mobile version of photoshop as its missing a lot of key features however it’s perfect for tasks that are fiddly with a trackpad. I find I can do the fiddly stuff completely fine with the Apple Pencil then just open it on my mac to do the things the app cannot. To all those complaining that this app isn’t good enough, just buy a Wacom instead.

Really wanted to like this but woefully let down by lack of RAW support

 –
zglenallen
 –
2020-04-28
Version 1.3.1
Serif can do it from launch with Affinity, Pixelmator can do it, for goodness sake even Google incorporated it into Snapseed and offered it for free! Why ho why then can’t the worlds leading developer of photo editing software include RAW file editing from the get go.
I am a long time user of PS on the desktop and dabble with other desktop apps from time to time and was looking forward to the launch of this as it was the thing that helps to justify the purchase of the iconic iPad Pro rather than the more pedestrian iPads but adobe, you have dropped the ball.
Pick it up again and get RAW editing in quick!

Version 1.2.3
I’m trying to think of a user in the creative industries that would be able to use this app to perform any given task to completion without having to make painful compromises. The absence of so many features makes it unusable and pointless. Please think about your users while you still have some, Adobe. You used to be the leaders, now you are playing catch up.
For what it’s worth the interface looks nice. It’s familiar yet has been adapted well for intuitive use on the iPad. Now you need to start pulling in features that will enable users to actually get stuff done.

I have been a photoshop user for a long tine and I must admit that I’m very disappointed with the adobe photoshop ipad version. For a paid app, i expect it to be more useful rather than working with a very limited features.
I remember when they launched the photoshop mobile in the past which i find far more better than this. It’s almost like a the desktop version and really pleased with it. If the developer can bring those features back then I would be using this app more often than their rival the affinity photo and design.
Adobe i expect more from you so please hear my feedback and make this version a lot more useful!

I really like this version of photoshop. I use photoshop on my Mac for uni and it is great that Adobe is able to create a version on iPad. My only feedback is maybe consider making a smudge tool as I had to go into Procreate to complete what I wanted to do. However I am impressed that you can create documents that are 6000px x 6000px. Overall good start for the app 👍

Promising, but a big shame. Big lack of features.

Version 1.2.3
For someone who loves using the Apple Pencil on Photoshop, it’s a great shame that I can’t really make use of it. Very basic tools such as dodge and burn are for some reason absent, and half a year after release it doesn’t seem there’s any intention to add them. I find it pretty uncomfortable using Photoshop on my MacBook for long amounts of time, and it would be much easier if I could switch to my iPad when needed and still have most tools at my disposal. Using the iPad feels so natural, but basically unusable for me because there aren’t enough features. Polygonal Lasso tool? Pen? Basic things that would make a big difference to workflow.

Let’s be honest It will be fantastic one day. I’ve just cancelled my subscription, and I was so excited when PhotoShop came out for IPad, I thought I could adjust quality of my pictures in it. But they want Us to pay monthly when half of the futures isn’t available on ,mobile devices, yet. No basic effects are available, even other mobile apps for pictures processing has the basics like brightness, sharpness adjustments etc. And this is PhotoShop, how can you release app not completely ready and expect customer to pay for using it? I’m sorry it’s a joke to me

Version 1.2.1
I was really excited to see a full Photoshop app for the iPad and loved the idea of seamlessly working on all of my devices. Having Photoshop for my iPad would have taken my work to a whole other level but sadly it has not. So many features and tools are missing it’s incredible that the Photoshop brand is even attached to it. Smudge/blur, dodge/burn, pen tool, wand tool, filters, I mean, really?
Maybe I’m just expecting too much but don’t say it’s Photoshop on the iPad when it’s not. It’s a basic editing tool, nothing more and there are more advanced apps out there.
I hope to see more added soon but looking through the update notes it doesn’t look like many of the useful Photoshop tools are being added frequently at all, so my expectations are low.
Surprise me PLEASE because I’d love to change this to a 5 star.

Where do I begin, have waited and waited for this for years a fully mobile photoshop on the iPad. Bought iPad Pro and installed started a project two layer composition, nothing heavy to gauge the speed. Normally something this small would take 2o mins tops. I’ve been on it all day just keeps crashing. Don’t mind being a beta tester just wish they’d warned me before hand 😩
Update1.2.1 wish I could say they’ve fixed it but no still terrible buggy and crashing. Seriously looking at other programmes and canceling my subscription 🤬

Honestly, I’m genuinely surprised by how well this works on the iPad. Adobe have done a great job with this, and it’s improving with every update. I don’t really understand how so many people are upset with the app. If you’re an Adobe power user you’ll see the appeal. Being able to edit layered files on the go, which then sync back to PS on the desktop is such a god send. I’m hoping that layer styles will be added soon, and in reality I’d only give the app 4stars at the moment, but I really want it to succeed and I’m sure it will, so I’ve future proofed my rating to 5 stars, lol. I’m a full time graphic designer working on publishing projects and am able to design 85% of my book cover commissions on the iPad now. Adobe, if you need a beta tester - let me know, lol! 😃

Don’t be tricked into thinking this is worth owning an iPad for. Software doesn’t provide anywhere near enough tools to get a full photoshop edit done, so you will still find yourself putting the file back on your laptop or desktop computer to finish it off. In my opinion that completely defeats the point of it entirely.
Plus in my experience with photoshop I thought I would be able to pick this up and be using it to its full potential straight away, how wrong was I. Because it adopts a completely different platform to the one we are all used to, it’s like having to learn a completely new piece of editing software so the question is, why not just get something else that is better suited to mobile technology without having higher expectations about Adobe doing it justice.
Save the disappointment and just use your computer...

Luckily I have a student account with my school. If I hadn’t it wouldn’t be worth paying for. Plenty more software on the iPad which is better. HOWEVER. Select subject is superb but feels a bit different to pc and not as precise. Also when sizing photos there is a bit of input lag. One feature I would really love is a rotate like Procreate so a pinch and twist as currently you have to rotate your iPad to use it at different angles and painting and retouching may work better in this software if you could angle the canvas similar to Procreate. Overall not bad but not the best.

Needs more of the desktop features.

It’s saving grace is it’s integration with Lightroom and the Adobe cloud.
I also use Affinity Photo, who came to iPad some time ago and who’s offering is a far more complete editing experience. Unfortunately Adobe have their work cut out to catch up. Lightroom / photoshop used together on iPad is great for quick edits but if I want to concentrate on a single image for detailed work then I use Affinity Photo.
When Photoshop on iPad has all of the features and tools available on the desktop version it will be awesome.

If you are looking for a full blown up version, just ignore the iPad app, which is a trimmed down imitation of the original, despite the adverts claiming otherwise. It may be that one day it will become competitive with the desktop version, but right now it is just in its infancy.
Sadly photoshop doesn’t embrace the intuitiveness iPad provides, and is not a competitor for other graphic apps such as Procreate , concept etc.
Adapting the desktop interface doesn’t work on touch screen device, and other apps have made much better progress and gained enormous popularity because their philosophy revolves around touch device and do not just imitate software ,which was originally designed for desktops, mouse and keyboard. So innovation wise I believe this is a step back which is a bit disappointing.

OK there many great iPad apps for quick filters, and they do it very well but Photoshop allows those things that can be done on Photo shop on the laptop or desktop computers like selections of parts of the Imagine and layer selections which give you more controls of the finer adjustments. You'll get literally nothing useful done in this terrible app. I really hope the industry starts to embrace the better alternatives to all adobe software. Adobe should have a big team chat about QuarkXpress and how they laughed at its price tag and feature set when Indesign came out, and then qxp lost is crown. Adobe will fall soon with the decades of failure to fix what they have and charge a fair price for our continued support. The relentless search new new users lured in by a.i. Features that are never really useful is starting to show them up...

Despite the majority of reviews, I’m happy and impressed with the Photoshop app so far. While the features are limited at this stage, they are sufficient for my needs - cleaning dust spots from photographs, cloning and basic selections using the lasso tool. Obviously the lack of RAW support isn’t great but what I do is open them in Lightroom to make colour corrections, and then open directly in Photoshop. Only other main thing I would need is the path selection tool, and the blur/smudge tool.
If you’re not already subscribed to Adobe, then maybe hold off until the app is further developed and features what you need. I am happy Adobe but I hope you keep on your promise to develop further, and address the key features needed by your users.

I know some folks may feel a little deflated about the lack of features in this release but honestly let’s look at the positives, first the layout , Adobe have made the transition from the desktop to the iPad Pro very intuitive it just works and is a great experience to use, you are able to forget about the program and just concentrate your project and being able to pick up on your desktop where you left off on your iPad is just awesome, you can work on projects on the move and jump straight on the desktop when back at the studio. Sure there are features missing which will com in time but none has touched on a big positive in my opinion, for those folks who are not fluent in photoshop this a great way to learn it really from the ground up, using the basic tools on the iPad which are powerful by the way and understand the way it works is huge and can only help them get to grips with it all and as and when new features are added they will grow as it grows, I am super excited about the future of this app now Apple has finally made the iPad Pro worth using with there latest updated OS.

There are so many better apps than this, this is a lame excuse of an app, a money grabber, you have to pay each month to use it, you can’t even see how it works without subscribing. I know you get a month free trial, but you still have to create an account. I hate money grabbing apps like this. 5 years ago, Photoshop app was great, difficult to master but once you knew what goes where it was fantastic and you had to pay only once to use. This is abysmal, taking its customers for cash cows. I will be deleting after posting this review.

I have the complete Creative Cloud membership for my Mac so I thought I’d try the iPad version of photoshop but as is the norm for the worst tech company ever it won’t allow me to log in! Over the years I have questioned my continuation of my expensive subscriptions to Adobe as now there are actually better, more affordable solutions on offer. So although I’ve yet to actually try this version to be honest I think I’ll stick with Affinity Photo which has replaced Photoshop as my go to app anyway. I would give adobe zero stars but that’s not an option!

I opened this app for the first time and got stuck on the splash screen saying;
‘We had a problem connecting to the Adobe servers. Please try again later.’
It has been an hour and I still can’t use it.
I do not understand why I would need the internet to use this software. The reason I downloaded this was so I could use the app while I’m travelling. I shouldn’t have to use my iPhone’s data connection to edit a photo that is already on my iPad Pro. Also I won’t always be without signal problems.
I can’t stress enough how completely unacceptable it is for an app like this to require any kind of internet connection whatsoever. Even with internet access, the servers being down is completely out of the user’s control and can cause huge problems for artists who have deadlines to meet while they are on the move.

I’ve used photoshop for years and own the iPad Pro, waited so long for this and low and behold they literally expect a lot of money with all thier products, been the same for years with adobe. They never give anything away, they expect people to pay them prices, such a disappointment and when you see what’s in the app wow, you can see they are money hungry, it’s missing allsorts and the hype was all for nothing, like always, nothing has changed you only have to check their prices for the pc versions to see that, not recommended and I’m walking away from adobe once and for all, no wonder people crack their softwares...

Version 1.0.1
This app is still better than using the previous combination of adobe ‘Photoshop-esque’ iOS apps, especially for someone who is used to the desktop version and didn’t much like the watered down version(s) previously available for iOS.
But it’s definitely still missing some features which seem essential for launch. Such as a ‘Select Color Range’ feature, which I literally use in almost all my work as most of my projects utilise some form of green screen. It’s also frustrating that there isn’t a full bodied support forum yet, which means that elements such as the ‘Select Color Range’ feature may exist within the app, but I can’t find it, and I can’t find any clear articles explaining where it is.
All of this will improve with time and updates I’m sure, but this is currently far from the app we were promised originally, and far from a full bodied version of Photoshop for iOS.

As a design student who heavily uses design software, I find the £10 monthly subscription price ludicrous! Adobe are already taking will over £200 a year from me and now they are asking for an additional £120. As far as I’m concerned adobe can shove their subscription where the sun don’t shine! As soon as I’m out of education I’m not going to pay adobe a penny! They leech off good designers with software that is not worth the hefty price tag! If you are a design student, either pirate adobe for desktop, or buy the Affinity products they can do the same as adobe for an upfront one time fee.

I may have given my first review a little early. After spending more time with the app I have grown to love its ease of use, what is there is beautiful. It lacks some key functions like the ability to sharpen, circular gradient fill to name a couple but hopefully these will be here before long. I urge you all to stick with it and work with what’s there for now.........
I agree with most that this is a disappointment from adobe. This should have been a test release and not a general release. What is there works very well, but what you get is very limited. If you get this as part of your creative package then great, but certainly not worth any payment on the app alone.

It’s utterly ridiculous that adobe advertised this as full photoshop. It’s nowhere near ready. Someone high up in the chain of command needs to be on the chopping block because clearly the devs are trying but weren’t given enough time. Agile development is meant for when you have one customer who wants to see how things are going or if you have a full product already. You do not use agile or scrum when you are in the middle of developing the product from scratch and it doesn’t have any features to release early with only 1 or 2 actually usable functions

After a year of waiting and being promised that this would be Photoshop on the iPad, this is incredibly disappointing. There are so many, many features missing. The killer for me is finding that Layer Effects aren't support. It just gives a message saying "This feature is not supported on this device yet" - I'm using the latest generation of Apple iPad Pro. If it's not supported on this, what IS is supported on? Text editing is absolutely crippled, where are the options for kerning, for adjusting text height, for curved text, for anything other than the most basic things? And on text layers you don't even get offered the option of layer effects. I use this feature a lot - without this it's useless to me. I understand implementing this will be difficult, but you had a year and you promised it would be Photoshop on the iPad. Bitterly disappointed. Perhaps the bonuses of the top Adobe execs would be better spent on hiring some more developers, you know the people who actually do the work.

I use the desktop version of Photoshop professionally and was interested to see how they could fit the same capability of the desktop version onto an iPad, quite simply they haven’t. This version of Photoshop is quite frankly useless and there are better options for the iPad are free.
If this app was designed to take on Procreate then it falls short... along way short. Procreate exceeds this app in every respect and although costs money (very little) it’s worth getting,
Adobe are launching next year Illustrator for iPad, I really hope they don’t release such a lightweight version of Illustrator. Adobe rethink this app.

I wanted a proper photo editor, the cost of this photoshop edition is 9.99 a month for only an iPad app. It took ages to release and yet upon release the main thing I want a good editor for—opening my raw files—this is unable to do. It doesn’t even mention it.
If I have to edit in photos and change the file to jpg first then this app is not going to let me get what I want from my images. It also makes a nuisance of itself which is a but much for an expensive app like photoshop which should be able to handle the full process
I used to own the desktop photoshop and that can do exactly what I need, this was supposed to be full desktop photoshop but it cannot open raw, as far as I can tell it will not make hdr or panoramic compositions either. Probably a good app for instagram ‘influencers’ and the like
Another good thing is that it has the great adobe photoshop exposure adjustment, which is hard to set as accurately on the iPad but beats many other ones. However I can’t find a curves adjustment, only levels

Maybe it's just my iPad but I saw others on Instagram facing a similar issue, the freehand rotation gesture(i.e. Pinch zoom then turn) does not work, if your an artist this makes it borderline unusable as at the moment there's no way to rotate the canvas meaning you have to physically rotate the iPad for different angles. This us bizarre to me as the predecessor to this, adobe fresco, had this handled on it's first release, until this bug is fixed I am afraid I can't review this application properly since using it is too frustrating.

Incredibly disappointing. I can only assume Adobe had major problems in development with this project. They pitched this high: “The real photoshop on iPad”. Well, it isn’t.
Of course there were always going to be features missing; after all, desktop photoshop has 3D support, CMYK prepress options, print proofing, animation... the list is endless. These were never going to be in a first iPad version and, frankly, will probably never make it the iPad version (which calls into question Adobe’s claim that it would be full photoshop anyway). But Photoshop without a clone tool? Without liquify? Without dodge and burn tools? Without filters, sharpening, noise reduction? Without content-aware fill/crop? These are core tools that effectively define what Photoshop is. Without them, this isn’t even close to being usable for any serious work.
The interface shows promise, but it’s not as slick as Procreate’s. If you need the power of Photoshop on your iPad you still have to look toward Affinity Photo. It has most of the features of the desktop Photoshop and works well on iPad. Adobe should have looked at Affinity Photo and treated it as the benchmark for what they could achieve with Photoshop. Actually, I expect they did. But they failed to meet it.

Considering the hype around this for the past year, the result is far from what many expected. We can’t blame Adobe only for this hype though because countless ‘made for ads’ blog posts have spouted on about the ‘full blown photoshop coming to iPad in 2019’ who also deserve to be criticised for the hype.
This is not a full blown version of photoshop. Not even close. And it is way behind what others have developed; Affinity Photo comes to mind instantly as a much cheaper and more complete alternative!
As a CC subscriber who also owns other (more complete) editing apps, I’d held on to my Adobe subscription this year just to see what the iPad version of Photoshop actually delivered and, quite frankly, it’s a big disappointment and gives no valid reason to keep paying Adobe for something others delivered years sooner - without subscription.
If other apps hadn’t already started hammering nails in Adobe’s coffin, I think this demonstrates that Adobe themselves are holding the bag of nails and contributing to their own demise.
For a company with so much history and resources this is a terrible attempt at a fully fledged photo editor that doesn’t even have the ability to open a RAW file without going via Lightroom first...
Oh dear...

This app is defiantly a spit of what photoshop is yet. If you want to try it out for photography purposes at all. It doesn’t support camera raw or .nef/raw file formats from Nikon. I can’t find out how the do simple manipulation tools such as exposure, hue and saturation, brightness and contrast. It’s got layer settings and a few tools from the left side tool bar but nothing professional to get right. I understand they said they got a lot more to add but I would have thought Adobe would have got the basic elements included.
