Great game but comes with one down side. Let’s start with bad, when u don’t have wifi it’s veryyyy glitchy. I’m on level 11 and so far this game is soooo good it gets ur mind going and a fun game at the same time. Use ur finding skills to match certain items up. But as u go up in levels the more things add to ur piles. You can buy or watch an ad to get another minute but after u but once and the minute is over u only can buy for 100 -in the game money not real- or just give up.

I recommend this game.

I previously wrote a review and gave it 2 stars now it has to be 1 star!!! The game has hit progressively worse to play with glitches & time wasting adverts that just go on and on & yes I understand that you need adverts to find your game but seriously the amount is overkill and off putting for what was once a fun game to play! I have been playing less and less due to ongoing issues after the last update it kept glitching out and shutting down the game which meant I lost progress, lost lives & lost patience!!! They told me there was nothing wrong with the game despite screen recordings showing this issue! Most recently the last week there has been an issue with one of the adverts it’s a Royal Match advert featuring Stacey Solomon & when it ends it restarts itself & you never get the X to close the advert it just keeps going on a loop so you have to to force close the game which means you don’t get the extra points for watching the advert (also adverts used to be a max of 30 seconds & now it’s more like a minimum of 45 seconds)

I have made contact several times advising that the advert is broken & ruining the game & have had no response the advert is still there still broken & so I give up on the game I’ll go and play royal match instead ironically the advert causing the issue which is also a free to play game WITHOUT adverts!!! You are literally turning people away from your game to other games because it is so broken and you don’t care 🤷‍♀️

I really enjoy playing Match 3D but being interrupted in the middle of a level for an ‘eye break’ when it’s really just to watch an ad can be irritating.

I ended up deleting the game after being stuck on Level 18 for a few weeks, I rarely ever got close to beating that level without using Boosters and it just sucked the fun knowing I’d probably have to either get lucky or pay to get passed the level.

I still really enjoy Match 3D and might even download it again at some point but for now it requires way too much patience lmao

Been playing this game for years, love it and so addictive, especially when you’re part of a great team, playing the weekly team matches. So why the 1 ☆ review?

Well, since the game has been taken over by game developer, Lion Studios, their aim is just to monetise it with little regard for those who have loved playing this game for years. Not only are ads longer, but they’ve reduced the time limits for levels, so that you now have to use up your store of boosters and gold to succeed. Not a problem if the rewards of boosters and gold are fair but, at the same time, they’ve downgraded rewards to be pitiful - very few boosters (if any) and a measly amount of coins.

Over the past month or so, players are just seeing their stores of coins and boosters, gained over a period of years, depleting with each level achieved. Clearly the intention is to force players to buy boosters and coins instead of relying on winning them. It has now become a game where it won’t be the better players who achieve the highest levels and scores, but those with the deepest pockets.

I only continue playing in the hope Lion Studios will take note of the numerous complaints (they haven’t even bothered to reply to my last 3) or until my coins and boosters run out. I refuse to be coerced into paying to win. With so many ads, they should already be making enough money.

If you’re thinking of downloading this game, don’t even bother until they reverse the damage they’ve done to the game.

Really good free game! Levels can sometimes be impossible to beat without boosters or coins, however the game gives you plenty of those to keep going without having to purchase more (might have to watch some adds at the start to get going). Love the game, but have now deleted it because of the amount of adverts. I don’t mind the adverts in games, but I do mind several adverts during levels. I get into a rhythm and then POW and advert, regain my rhythm then POW another advert, at least let me finish the level This should not be a strategy used to get players to pay money to get rid of the adverts. I don’t mind watching adverts to gain rewards, but do mind when in the middle of a level. Sorry, but will find a similar game than gives me the option to watch adverts or pay for rewards.

I enjoy the game, it works wonders when my anxiety is playing up but I feel like I spend more time watching ads than I do playing the actual game.

If you want to make any sort of progression to the next level be prepared to watch a ton of ads so you can get some form of reward to help you progress. Some levels are impossible without the rewards.

This used to be one of my favourite games; definitely in my top 5. However, the constant freezing half way through the game, always reminds me of the reason why I stop playing. If you play too fast it freezes, when you’ve nearly finished the game it freezes!! AND every time it does this you loose your UFO rating and go back to zero!! If it didn’t freeze so often, I’d play it all the time, it would be in my top 3 & it would have 5 stars. This problem never seems to get fixed for long & no one returns your emails. I downloaded this game for my autistic son - he loved it! However, he’s not playing for speed - so once the time limit kicks in, he can’t complete a level. You have the option of buying coins or watching an ad. On the Home Screen of the app is an option to purchase an ad-feee version, which I did (£4.99) so that he doesn’t have to watch ads to play on. Turns out that you still have to watch ads or buy coins for extra lives, unlike other games where buying the ad-free version means avoiding this. I didn’t see any other ads so no idea what I’ve paid for, but it’s extremely dodgy. Such a shame that developers are greedy for in-app purchases rather than allowing users to just purchase a game, which I would do happily (and believed I had done).

I was signed in with apple but now I’m signed in with Facebook which I didn’t move over! & now it won’t let me sign back in with apple! Since hitting menopause my memory is shot to bits so I looked for a game which would help me to remember things. This game is brilliant as it’s just challenging enough and my memory has improved slightly. I recommend you buy the add free version though because on the free version you’ll just be getting into your swing and an add will suddenly pop up putting you right off. While you will have exclusive bonuses until the Event ends, you must unlock the premium rewards by beating levels and completing stages.

On the other hand, what you will receive immediately are the items under the "exclusive bonuses until the event ends," and some other items for purchasing the pack such as 8 Lives instead of 5, Golden name on all lists, and a Gift for your teammates.

It’s like the developers don’t know how to incorporate ads into a game - after level 3 you have ads turning up multiple times in the middle of your level! - rather than at the end of the level, and it just makes you want to just delete the app! I thought it was a good app initially, but the ads are so annoying I’ve just deleted it and will find an alternative - the irony is, if they had been more subtle with the ads I would have probably enjoyed the game more and paid for a no ad game - but these developers just are going to antagonise users right from the start! The price for the no ad game is ridiculous as well - £4.99! - at least price it at £0.99 - £1.99, but at £4.99 it’s not worth it at all!

This game is a very addictive game and one I play all the time. But after a certain level I find myself heavily relying on the extras to pass each level and of course you are then tempted to spend to get them. I wait for the wheel each day and don’t get much.

The app is full of playable adverts and I find myself watching them non stop to get a few extra coins. Some times I am watching adverts more then playing the game, even after paying to get rid of the adverts. Paying only gets rid of them during each level. That was very annoying having the game stopped for adverts.

Although I still enjoy the game and use it to keep my mind on its toes and for now fine it useful

Downloaded this because it came up frequently as adverts in other games I play. It looked like something I might be interested in so I downloaded the free version to get an idea of what it’s like.

I was expecting adverts between levels this is common place but imaging my astonishment as I was really concentrating on where individual items were to suddenly have the game stopped and an advert appear. Thought it might just be a glitch so carries on but it happened again and again and again.

Before I write the review I need to stress that I understand how important adverts are to app and game developers. I support anyone who wishes to increase their revenue via click through advertising or having ads placed between levels. It is something we all come to expect.

Also - and I’m sure many others will say the same - I play many games for a little while in its free to play format so I can get a feel for the game. If I enjoy playing the game and know it’s going to be something I will come back to regularly then I will almost certainly pay to remove adverts as well as make in app purchases.

However this game is a little different. I want to play it. I want to get a feel for the game and find out if it’s something I could see myself playing regularly, but I’ve gotten to level 2 and so far there is thirty second advert EVERY FIVE MOVES!! It’s not ads between levels but MOVES. In a game that requires a lot of moves to pass a level, having a thirty second advert (always for project makeover too) every five or so moves isn’t just annoying, it’s agonising.

It’s truly the most excessive use of ads in a free to play game I’ve ever experienced; and so on those grounds, I’ve deleted the game. I also hope that the developers realise they likely might have gotten my money had it not been for the adverts. It honestly felt like a hostage situation! It also comes across as very desperate.

Having done that It was initially better until you progress just a few games along when it becomes virtually impossible to progress any further unless you pay a further £1.79 to buy further minutes extension to the level so you can complete it. I am on level 7 and am fast on the finger, but its impossible. I have ended up not playing the game at all and and £4.99 down. The remove the adverts fee is fine, but to have to keep paying to continue playing is a rip off. A real shame as this is potentially a brilliant game ruined by greed.

When you are actually playing the game it’s fun - good concept and very clear graphics.

As noted many times already, the adverts are off the scale ridiculous - advert to get to the home page, adverts during the game, adverts to gain free stars - on and on relentlessly, and often the same ad over and over again.

Another reason for the low score is the instability of the app - daily it offers you a free 60 seconds to complete a game, then crashes you out and fails you before you use them, you can watch a fixed number of videos to gain extra stars, these often crash without giving credit. Finally the app regularly shuts my iPad down completely, mid game. All in all the bad outweighs the good, which is a shame

I love this game and it is very addictive. I just wish there were more rounds that had a time of more than 3 minutes. Most are just over 1 minute. I love the longer rounds like the 10 and 12 minutes because it is more challenging to find pairs when there is a lot more to sort through. Even mix it up with some 6/7/8 minute ones for example because it seems to go from one extreme to the other with 3 rounds just over 1 minute then a 12 minute round with nothing in the middle. Otherwise a great game!

Enjoyable game but the number and duration of ads is ridiculous. I don’t mind watching a 30 second advert once every few rounds, but this is before, after and during every round! It’s incredibly frustrating when you’re in a rhythm to suddenly have an ad pop up, especially these new interactive ones that end up taking you to the App Store if you touch anything. I even had two ads during the same round, one of which was 45 seconds long - with the ads at the beginning and end as well I ended up spending more time waiting for ads to finish that I did on the actual round. Sorry, I’m not interested in paying £6 just to remove ads when there will STILL be in game purchases, which from the sound of other reviews are becoming more and more necessary if you want to progress through the levels. Even the £6 ad removal fee appears to have doubled recently… I’m deleting the app within a couple of hours of downloading it, which must be a record for me!

I’ve been playing this for a couple of months now and there are a few ‘glitches’ that don’t appear to be random.

For example: you can get extra coins by watching ads but you can guarantee you want just 10 more coins to make it to 100, so you can buy an extra minute to finish your level, when the ad freezes and you have to close the session. This means you lose where you are and lose any boosters you used to get you to where you were!

Another ‘glitch’ is that you’re almost about to complete a level when the items stick and you can’t move any of them, your seconds are counting down and you fail the level by a whisker. That’s when the other scenario about might happen too so 2 ‘glitches’ on the same level.

Although it’s best to do the larger items first it’s very deceptive in that larger items are very small if they are under other items ie you’re looking for a huge white igloo and you can’t find it anywhere, this is because it’s in miniature under a frog!

Sometimes the frustration outweighs the enjoyment

I have been playing this game for 6 months and used to love it. Highly addictive and fun. Recently this has become unplayable due to too many bugs within the app - ads will freeze and you can’t come out of them so you have no choice but to come out of the app, you then lose a life to rejoin the game where you left off. This is happening most days now which is frustrating as you don’t get to complete a game as you lose all your lives this way. The game itself has a real time lag to it now even when you open the app for a while to let everything load. Not sure why this has happened but please will the developers look into these issues. A great game has been ruined.

It’s a good game with cute graphics and is fun to play. However I cannot get past level 12 without spending money for more time because they give you an impossible amount of time to do that level in. This is a cynical way to get gamers to spend money. I expect everyone who plays this will find a level they get stuck on because of the timer. Give an option to turn the timer off and let people who don’t want to spend money enjoy the game at their own pace and let others keep the timer on so they can challenge themselves or join teams. I now wish I had not paid for no ads. Oh and trying to pick a nickname that hasn’t been taken so I can post this review is even more frustrating then the impossible timer.

Update. I got past level 12 only to find that you get less and less time. Lots of reviewers complain about this but no change has ever been made. That is no way to treat customers. Please give us a relaxed choice.

However... the game itself is a brilliant concept. It looked fun and totally addictive BUT the volume of ads is just too much. Not only are they long but they pop up in the middle of a level! With this game you have to get 'your eye in' to match pairs and just when you are on a roll....bam, another advert!!

We all know that free games need ads but these are relentless. Please, please sort out the ones in the middle of a level at the very least!!

Love the game, but have several issues:

- at certain times, the advert locks up the game (frustratingly causing you to lose out on coins or even losing a game entirely, resulting in you starting over if you’re on the ufo stages)

- if you opt to use one of your 10second extra time at the very end of a game.... it will be deducted, but the game ends anyway without the time being allocated.

- There is a delay/lock-up when matching items, which causes you to lose time occasionally as well.

- The adverts.... far too many! And the duration of each is far too long.

- It would be preferable to give free sets of 60 seconds back if you have that left over at the end of a game.

- I’d rather know the length of the upcoming game time in advance, to know whether to use the magnet or the extra 60seconds.

Overall... although addictive, I give most people a couple of weeks before they chuck it in for good. Fun for a while though.

This game is a fantastic idea, well executed. The graphics are fun and gameplay lively but, the amount of ads is absolutely appalling. Ads between every level, ads in the middle of levels (which is totally unacceptable).

We all understand the need for developers to make money but this game has taken greed to a new level. It’s clear the reviews aren’t being addressed judging by how many of the recent ones are negative.

Tone down the ads, add a little extra time to some levels and stop forcing people to spend ridiculous amounts of money to play the game. More people would buy it outright if they didn’t have to then spend extra to keep playing or still see ads even in the ad free version.

This is a great game with loads of potential but the ads are a real pain every few minutes in the middle of the game! I paid £5.99 to get rid of them but now I have to pay more money to unlock a piggy bank that the coins I win now just bounce off! The free 60 seconds per day is good but once exhausted you have to sit through 10 lots of 2 minute adverts to get another 100 coins to carry on. Once that is gone that is it! Not a good game to play with children as they get bored of to many ads and then have to stop when all the times are exhausted or pay money to unlock more. Not happy with this game for that reason. I’ll keep playing it as I paid for it but still think it’s wrong to ask you to pay to unlock a piggy bank that you filled. If that was sorted it would be a fabulous game.

Constantly glitches and freezes - the amount of times I’ve had to close out of the game and restart because of it freezing. And there are just way too many adverts. And then half the time, after the ad has finished, I end up with a blank screen and have to come out and go back into the game.

My IPad also seems to get extremely hot when playing this - don’t have this issue with any other game, which is odd.

Only had the game a couple of days, and I so wanted it to be good, but I’m afraid I’ve had to delete itn- it really is not worth the effort. As the title says - great premise, but needs the glitches sorting and cut down on the ads.

I am playing this game for a month now, every evening a couple of levels. I didn’t buy it yet, so I get to “enjoy” a few adds here and there, but to me personally it is not so annoying as in some other games. For a start, majority of adds can be skipped using “forward” button in the corner. In addition, I do understand that developers need to earn some money in order for me to continue playing for free.

I am currently on level 421 and I am surprised when some people are saying that they needed to pay money in order to proceed through levels - this is not my case. Maybe I am just lucky, but I am managing to win some money through opening teams chests once in 2 days (you just need to progress more than your team mates), etc.

I really enjoy the game and it is very relaxing after long working day - just allowing to switch the brain off and match things.

Even if you pay £5.99, this brilliant and addictive game very early on becomes too difficult to complete with out watching ads - often 60 seconds worth, just to gain 60 seconds of extra time to finish a level. (Sometimes it crashes at the end of the ads too). There is no going back over old easier levels, and an astonishing series of full screen attempts to get you to buy more credits, so be careful what you click. For £5.99, the game would’ve been well worth it, but this constant and arch manipulation is unlike anything I have come across in my gaming experience.

What I’d like to see is an option for a personal time challenge in order to play without the sense of stress and annoyance that I’ll be forced to watch more ads just to continue with the game.

If that happens then it’ll be a five star fame.

I really love this game. I love all the little items, there’s so many things in the mix that really make me smile, they are all really cute and quirky and nice to look at. The physics are satisfying and make it a lot of fun to dig through the pile and watch everything tumble around.

It would easily be five stars if the game wasn’t so unacceptably buggy and slow. It’s prone to freezing up for a few seconds, and sometimes it doesn’t come back at all and you have to restart the app. I wasn’t even able to write this review via the app, as it kept removing the keyboard and eventually just quit to the main menu and vanished my review entirely.

Any other app would get 2/3 stars from me for such wobbly behaviour, but when it works right it’s just such a great game I can’t bring myself to give it a low score.

If it just ran more smoothly I’d be happy to pay to remove the ads, but £5.99 just isn’t worth it for something that isn’t reliable yet.

This game is really good fun, you get a real sense of tension building as you get close to running out of time and you’re nearly finished. The problem is just as you start getting into your stride an advert pops up, which you inevitably accidentally click on because of the frantic nature of the game. Yes there are adverts mid game in a game which has you tapping all over the screen like a mad person!

The clinch here is that this programs adverts don’t even wait until the end of the game, or even the end of the level/round that you’re playing. Oh no, you can be 2 minutes into a 4 minute round, happily matching little 3D toys and wallop! Everything stops and the screen changes over to the adverts. Think things couldn’t get any worse ? At the end of the advert, or even if you carefully press the “X” in the top corner of the advert, you get taken to the download / install screen of the advert clip - greed, greed, greed.... deleted

Ok let’s talk ads. They are necessary. The developers needs to make money creating a game is not free but why a 20 second ad every 2 minutes ? My 4 minute game had 4 20 second adverts! 4 minutes play 1 minute 20 secs of adverts ! That ratio is so far out of context it’s laughable. Before, twice during and after! Why a 30 second ad for your “free” 60 extra seconds ? Do I like this game? I think so but it’s hard to tell with 2/ 3 adverts every level. Your £6 does not entitle you to play as long or as much as you want. Given the current climate people need cheap, distracting, fun things to do. Things like this game. Don’t charge to get rid of ads and then charge again and again to keep the game playable. While playing a level you can expect to be interrupted by an advertisement anywhere from 2 to 3 times. Not only is it a soulless cash grab, but it also stops the game’s momentum, which, when you’re searching for items can really slow you down. It basically ruins any enjoyment that could be derived from the game. This feels almost by design in that they want you to buy their no-ads version. I’m really impressed with how well designed this is. The items that you’re sorting can be any size and any way up which would be awful if they warped or anything but they stay true to form. Abandon all preconceived ideas of size and perspective though or it’ll catch you out. I regularly discover a train under a pea pod or a table under a lollipop.

Good, useful, and plentiful help and bonus chests which is always nice to see. Regular ‘pack’ updates adding new items to sort. I find a new pack arrives just as I feel like I’m getting really confident with the last lot! So perfectly timed really.

The only downside is the ads. I found myself enjoying it enough that I put up with the ads. Usually a deal breaker for me when there are this many (and there are a lot!), especially the mid-level ones which throw you completely on the quicker timed rounds. I eventually caved and payed. It is worth it if you enjoy it as much as I do but I think I’d have agonised less if it had been a little cheaper.

All in all a big thumbs up to the developers. It’s the best match/pairs game I’ve found.

Really addictive great game. I would rate it higher but I don’t like that you have to pay to unlock the coins in the piggy bank . I would never pay . I actually found it quite relaxing at first but the higher the levels you go to you find that there just isn’t enough time given especially with ads taking precious seconds away from you. That can be frustrating to the point where you think might as well forget the game which would be a shame.

There isn’t much in the way of rewards as you progress to the higher levels either -you’ll never be able to complete the higher levels without the help of the magnet , extra time,freeze timer and the help ‘bulb’. The ads drive you mad as well . It seems you have to pay to progress .

Shame as I think it’s a great game and introduced quite a few people to it.

Like all “mobile app games” ruined by the fact that it is constantly trying to get money from you and show adverts. Even if you pay to remove them, which I have, any bonus offered by the game means having to sit through the same selection of adverts. After about level 400 you will either have to wait for the next day to play or dig into your Wallet to unlock lives, bonuses etc. Even if you are willing to keep paying the packages give little for the entry level pricing and gets so steep you may as well go and buy a console game!

Shame there is no free play mode you against the clock. Without needing lives, enhancements and cash from you every few hours.

I don’t mind having an ad-supported app - the developers need to get some money for their work - but the number & timing of the ads in this are way too intrusive.

A 30 ad or two before/after the task is ok. Having a static ad at the bottom of the screen during the task is fine. But having 30-second ads interrupt a timed task three or even four times in the middle of gameplay is ridiculous. It totally interrupts the flow of the game.

Also, you can’t even accumulate the ‘coins’ you have won unless you pay real money for a ‘piggy bank’.

They obviously want to push us into buying the ad-free version plus numerous micro-transactions but have done it in such an obnoxious & frustrating way that I’d rather just delete the game. Pity, as the game itself is rather enjoyable.

Great game, been playing around a month or so and on level 436. Happily paid the small sum to play without ads as this helps the developer hopefully carry the game on without being bombarded to pay to play more levels for everyone and because for the price I paid no ad play is great for me to switch off the real world and actually calms me. The only small thing I couldn’t give 5 stars for is the lag sometimes with the thinner objects being quite difficult to grab such as the pen, screw, screwdriver, lipstick etc..

Also not sure what the free lives are for as I always have 5 and have yet to need any? I see people on my team asking for them but no idea why? Would this be for when you have no coins to buy more time and no freezes etc?

I really enjoy playing this game and have spent many hours on it and have now started my own team, which is great fun. I found the relentless adverts utterly frustrating and distracting and they could have been timed much better, ie at the end of a game, but as I liked the game so much, I thought a one off payment of just under £3 was worth it. To me, it is important to support game designers and it was a pleasure to pay such a nominal sum when others try to fleece you for much more per month! So, why the four stars and not five? Since a recent update I golden piggy bank seems to have appeared. Now I don’t earn any money apart from the chest unlocks that chuck you a few pennies. I have to pay to unlock my piggy bank! I don’t understand why you have done this. I will continue to play as you can progress through hundreds of levels without having to pay. :)

I normally don’t write anything in a review but I wanted to put forward a different experience to some of the reviews I read. I’m currently on level 54 and have not had to purchase anything. You can keep trying the same level if you open and close the app and once a day you get access to a 60 second bonus which can get you passed levels that you are challenged by. You do get to know the objects from different angles but every so often new shapes are introduced which can take away some of the repetition.

Great little game that’s surprisingly tricky. I was really enjoying it. But I’ve had to delete it because 1) it’s sometimes a little laggy. When you’re trying to drag an object and nothing’s moving, it’s a little irritating. And 2) - and this for me is the big one - adverts, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME!!! I don’t mind ads between rounds, but in the middle of a round so that it interrupts gameplay? No no no. In one round alone I was interrupted four times. If the developers can sort this out then it would definitely be five stars from me. Until then, I’m sorry but I just can’t. What a shame.

This is a good idea for a game and the graphics are ok. I thought I might be able to play it with my 3 year old son but the levels are timed and quickly got too difficult. I like that the objects you have to pair together are in different orientations which is why it appealed to me for my son. However, I’ve played it for a while now and it’s just more of the same thing with each level. I find it really annoying that ads pop up when you are in the middle of playing a time limited level. Sometimes the ads are thirty seconds long and several pop up during each level, as well as more ads when you finish the levels. For this reason I will be deleting the game. It’s ok but the ads are more annoying than the game is good.

Started off good but can’t proceed without spending money.

Downloaded the game after seeing an ad and it was really good fun initially. Simple premise but well designed and the different pair designs are brilliant and well thought out. Only main complaint about the game play itself would be that items can fall onto the collection point by themselves and block the match you’re trying to make.

However the latest update has made the game impossible to play without spending real money. I’m on level 34 and it’s impossible to complete in the time limit. You used to be able to watch an ad for 30 seconds extra. You now have to spend 100 coins for 60 seconds extra. You only get 10 coins per ad but no ads are loading. You in theory can get 20 coins free every 6 hours but after the first 20 the timer just resets every 6 hours without giving you any coins. The cheapest coin bundle is £2 for 200 coins which would only let you play two levels which to me is a complete rip off. Also ads now play in the middle of levels which throws off your concentration completely unless of course you pay to remove all ads.

So in summary this is a great premise but has turned into another money grabbing micro transaction filled piece of junk.

If the developers released a version of the game where I could just set how many items I wanted and play without time limits I’d happily pay a few pounds to buy the full game but I’m not wasting money on pointless micro transactions.
