Refine locally your mesh under your brush to get an automatic level of detail.
You can even keep your layers, as they will be automatically updated!

Cylinder, torus, triplanar voxel and other primitives can be used to quickly start new shape from scratch.
- PBR rendering
Beautiful PBR rendering by default, with lighting and shadows.
You can always switch to matcap for a more standard shading for sculpting purposes.

Screen Space Reflection, Depth of Field, Ambient Occlusion, Tone mapping, etc

Save and open glTF, OBJ and STL files.
Layers and PBR painting are only kept through GLTF files.

I just updated the app and now its as if it has different mechanics, nothing is working the same! It’s not a positive change, I’m having a very hard time doing very simple things such as trim and flatten. I’ve played around with settings and cannot get it work even close to as well as it did before the update. It’s somewhat unworkable at the moment.

I have always liked the idea of sculpting characters but only really found time to delve into zbrush during the Xmas holidays and then found myself having to relearn where everything is.
Nomad is just so much easier to use, it features the brushes and functions that you need, packaged within a super intuitive ui, which actually makes sculpting fun rather than intimidating. Awesome app!

Firstly, a massive thankyou to the developer.
You've created a truly inspirational and quality app.
I've recently moved back into 3d modeling, and slowly learning the basics of Blender.
However I've always felt more at home with realtime sculpting, and the likes of Zbrush is a distant dream, as an independent artist the prices of subscription are absolutely unattainable.
Zbrush mini core is too restricted to produce quality creations, and this leaves only Sculptris which is now unsupported by the developer, and although quite good still lacks essential tools and features.
So...i moved back to my Ipad, and discovered Nomad Sculpt.
An absolutely awesome creative tool, eveything i could want or need in a sculpting app is in abundance here, a stable and versitile expression of creativity.
I must admit when i first saw how much it cost i was unsure if i should buy it, and I'm so glad i did!
Honestly some of the best money I've ever spent.
If you're looking for a sculpting app doesn't matter if your new to digital sculpting or a long time professional, you're search stops here!
Once again thanks to the developer, and keep up the good work.
You have re-inspired me to create again, and no amount of gratitude can express quite what that means to me.

What a great sculpting app! For the price, this is a no-brainer. I can’t believe I’ve only just found out about it. I’m using it on a 1st gen iPad pro and it works great. It’s using 3gb of the 4gb ram available, so makes great use of system ram.

Nomad has single-handedly changed the way I create. As a children’s brand, it has given me next-level output for my characters from The Squibbles® and propelled me into a fresh, new world.
Easy to use, intuitive, filled with tools to discover and learn and most of all brushes you can customise and save.
My only request is for there to be a grouping feature for easier movement, layer names returning after merging and separating and a lasso tool to select objects in the scene.
Other than that, worth every single penny and an essential purchase for your app collection!

I started digital sculpting with blender but now Nomad sculpt would always be my preferred program. I find it far more intuitive, user friendly and natural to use. Plus it has virtually all the same features and the developer is v active in adding improvements. Tablets are the natural platform for artistic apps like this and nomad sculpt works superbly on iPad. Undoubtably one of the best apps I have. Thanks for creating it!

OK it's not Z-Brush. But since Z-Brush isn't on iPad and costs considerably more than Nomad, and Nomad Sculpt is actually really spiffing and whizzer, I think that it stands as it's own product.
And that product is 'Easy to use' and 'Does what you want', and is pleasantly full featured for the average Blender user
TOP TIP: Select your mesh and use the UV unwrap before exporting to ProCreate as OBJ or ProCreate will throw a snit and refuse to open it.
You can then port it into Blender for any rigging or scene building you need.

I’ve wanted a “Zbrush on the Ipad” sculpting app for ages and this is THE one. It’s easy to get into and yet much more powerful than you would have thought possible for a mobile device. All the necessary tools to do some serious work, and it’s fun to use too. And with updates coming on a regular basis, it can only get better!

I have to say, WOW! I’ve been using this app for a month now as a novice to the 3D modelling world, and I’ve loved it from the first moment. It’s very intuitive and it runs smoothly even on my iPad Pro 2018. I don’t typically write reviews, I’m a bad consumer I know, but this time around I thought this really needed a big shout out for the developer. I’m honestly impressed that after just one week of the release of Procreate 5.2 the developer introduced native UV wrapping to allow for a smooth and seeming less transition from the 3D modelling part to the 3D painting part.
Really well done sir and kudos to you, keep developing this amazing app and thanks for listening to your community requests (maybe rigging one day with some magic? 👀🤪)
Lastly, obviously, I 200% recommend this app to any one interested in 3D sculpting, from novice to expert.

Wanted too start 3d art/sculpture Etc since getting Procreate and the updated ability to do and use and import 3d into procreate.
I’ve never done or used any type of it ever. I looked at many many different types of 3d apps and yes I still have another app of which recently got bought out, no names, and turned into subscription model even after paying full price for it a few weeks before it changed, thems the breaks they say, hmmm.
So no experience and not much trust I found this app and paid full one off price and , absolutely brilliant, amazing, wow, fantastic and a lot more descriptive type words I could go on.
It’s so easy to learn this, in a sense, there are videos, tutorials and a forum full of truly honest helpful people willing too help and want to help and share knowledge, tips, hints Etc it truly is a work of art in itself.
The developer is very fair and constant updates but real updates not just ‘bug fixes’ blah blah. He really cares about his app and you can feel the quality and options and solidness, is that a word? in his creation.
Yes I would pay the fee as a subscription if he changed too that, yes I know I hate it when you pay full and then it gets sold out or changes happen…but this truly is a game changer.
Bravo for this.
I’m still learning as I’m still a complete amateur in this field but I’m loving using this app and get really excited when I know I’m going to be using it, crazy maybe, but try it seriously it is that good. Oh and I don’t write reviews but this deserves it.

I’ve been using this for maybe an hour or so. Got it thinking it will be hours of watching tutorials and getting frustrated. NOPE! Coming from avidly using zbrush for years, to finally find an app which I can use on the go is insane, this app is amazing, fast, easy to use, simply designed but super effective. From doing character busts, to full humanoid character design this app can handle it. Battery handles it fairy good aswell, as long as you dont mess around for too long with BPR options or keep it on matcap you can sculpt for hours. Highly recommend

This is amazing.
For me, the ability to sculpt then save the png with transparent background in Procreate, affinity designer and Animation pro really does enable me to be so much more productive.
The workflow is perfect, plus the ability to make matcaps in Procreate and seamlessly integrate them in nomad makes my life 100% easier.

3D modelling is hard, and doing it on a flat tablet with just fingers and an Apple Pencil isn’t obvious. I’m terrible at it, I’d like to learn, occasionally try a new app, but I’ve not put the time in to study how to do it: Nomad is by far the most impressive and easy to use 3D app I’ve ever used.
It’s still hard, and getting to grips with the interface still takes a bit of time, don’t get me wrong. But it feels like it’s working with you and trying to get out of the way as much as possible.
The UI and rendering are snappy, and it feels rock solid so far. Really astonishingly good and a fantastic price (a little more than typical freemium appstore, but shockingly good value for such a professional 3D sculpting app, as a one off purchase too. Would still be a bargain as a yearly subscription cost even.)

I have dabbled in 3D sculpting and eventually bought Z brush. This app isn’t Zbrush, it’s a fraction of the price and absolutely great to use. I find features in this program that I could never get the hang of in other programmes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I downloaded this app in its first week of release this year and it has already improved massively since its launch. If you are interested in dipping your toe in sculpting, this is the app to go with. It is awesome!!!!
A few oddities to get your head around; mirroring tools take a little getting used but that’s a minor.
BUY AND SUPPORT THIS DEVELOPER!!
Only feature missing for me is the ability to export a turntable render.

I have a reasonable amount of experience on Zbrush and lots of ‘analogue’ sculpting experience. This App is stunning. It runs perfectly on an iPad 6 with an Apple Pencil.
I am currently using it for character design for a book project. It is such a powerful and thoughtfully designed piece of software.
I absolutely love it and would recommend it at 3 times the price!

This sculpting app packs a lot of punch. It’s only been out for a couple of months and is already making waves on youtube amount 3D sculpting artists. If you want something along the lines of zBrush on an iPad or tablet, then this is it. For such an recent release, it does so much so well and I’m sure there will be more additions coming to its feature set. I’m hoping to see a little more in the painting tools like a Blur brush (the Smudge brush drags colors while it blends) and possibly a colour based dodge and burn type shading brush, but this app is off to a fantastic start. and has many advanced features such as layers for blending sculpting/deformations and even color which. Very impressive. My sculpting has already improved because of this app! Love it!

This App is amazing. I thought that Forger was the only iPad app of this type, but I think this is way better. It runs like a dream on my ordinary iPad 6th gen. It seems to handle memory management much better, and the interface is so elegant. I can’t fault it for the price.

This incredible app is a glimpse of what is going to be possible with tablet digital sculpting in the coming years. It’s frankly stunning what you can sculpt on the iPad in 2020 using this app. The developer, Stephane Ginier, seems to have a long list of improvements he wants to make going forward, which is exciting to see how far he can take this app. There is a Nomad forum and a growing community of users, as well, which is great to see, and a growing number of youtube tutorials to get you started, also. Sculpting with Nomad is fun and it is easy to get started. The app is relatively complex and there’s lots to learn and discover as you progress, but it is not intimidating like a desktop app such as ZBrush. It’s incredibly rewarding and empowering when you master a new brush or process and is well worth the effort. The visually pleasing and intuitive interface design makes it a pleasure to use and this also gives it an edge over the competition, IMO. £15 is a ridiculously reasonable price for what you get here. Highly recommended!

I’ve been a 3D modeller/sculptor for coming up to 20 years. My go to was always ZBrush, I was even on the beta team way back in the day. Since moving my illustration workflow to iPadPro in the last few years I’ve missed the sculpting side.
But then along comes Nomad...
This app has everything and I mean everything. All the sculpting tools, alphas, matcaps, HDRI support, mesh painting, great performance, great dev support, I could go on and on...
Honestly a true game changer and the best sculpting software tool on iOS by a mile. Even the iPhone version is usable (unless you have a notch).

I went to a series of VR/AR/3D workshops last year. But the free app (Sculptris) I was using went kaput after Apple upgraded its OS. I came across this app by chance on the App Store and got it. Normally, if I do that, I end up deleting whatever it is because it doesn’t do half of what it says on the tin. But this app just reveals more and more, day by day. And I love the way the functions are arranged round the edge of my iPad (a 2016 Pro) screen. I’m more of a 2D artist than 3D, but this app is so approachable and usable, it’s hard to put down.
