Silver and Gold upgrade prices are listed in the app as they vary depending on your country and currency. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
HOW IT WORKS
Most aircraft today are equipped with ADS-B transponders that transmit positional data. Flightradar24 has a rapidly growing network of 35,000 ground stations around the world to receive this data that then shows up as aircraft moving on a map in the app. In an expanding number of regions, with the help of multilateration (MLAT), we’re able to calculate the positions of aircraft that don’t have ADS-B transponders.

Really? I subbed years ago, “lifetime” subscription, apparently. Then this con outfit decided to renege on that promise. I’ve had flightradar 24 for a few years now. It’s interesting to know about nearby flights, where they’re from, where they’re going, height speed etc. one of the most useful features is checking to see if your incoming flight is on time for your return journey. Last Saturday I knew that my incoming flight was delayed at least 2 hours before an announcement was made at the airport. I then saw that the plane was taxiing and told the airline it was on its way.

To be very honest I had the original free app which had loads more details to choose and use.
Then they got greedy deleted the old app and started asking for monthly subscriptions for the new app and reduced what you could have for free. So disappointing really especially as the advertising must cover a lot of the costs involved in running the app. 😏

Not what it used to be flightradar24 has a big fault… I wanted to track my friends arrival into Heathrow and it went completely crazy… giving faulty information and planes changing direction in mid flight for no apparent reason. Then all my previous tracking disappeared and so did all the planes.. I’ve been using “flightradar24” since it became available but it’s now unusable. There are better ones out there now so I’ve deleted the app.
It’s also infested with adverts.😣

Yeah great this 3D mode that cannot be loaded quite often. And when they do load it’s not smooth and it eats the phone battery… In every update, you mention “now able to add bookmarks” however, that has been a feature for many updates now, so why keep mentioning it?. I never seem to be able to see any actual physical difference between the updates. It all seems to be behind the scenes, no new features for many years now despite being promised over and over again. Disappointing.

I have had this App for some time now and was confused by the amount of information showing on the screen. I upgraded to Silver for a year then to Gold and it just got better and better. You have lots of choice about what you see and you can bookmark favourite flights or airports and you can set up alerts if your favourite Spitfire takes off. It’s magic!

Version 9.4.0
On flight radar 24, it shows planes landing, taking off, on the ground and also flying. It shows us many details including the departure and destination of the flight as well as if it departed on time. It can also be quite fascinating to see other details including the altitude and speed of the aircraft. I could easily go on for a long time, staying many more points and reasons on why you should install this app. I do use this app every day to see my favourite planes and airlines. The only thing I have noticed is that the app is about thirty seconds off. I myself have watched live streams and although on the app the planes have landed, in real life they are still about 30 seconds off.

Indispensable

Version 9.6.0
Possibly my favourite app on my mobile. Having friends regularly visit us from the UK to France it’s a joy to ignore the blithe ‘flight on time’ carriers apps when you can determine the real truth with FlightRader
The app also allows me to watch an inbound plane crossing the French coast and set off to pick up my friends at that point, timing my arrival perfectly with theirs!
Another fantastic feature is the ability to look at the flight prior to the one your interested in to determine if that flight is likely to impact, or not, on the scheduled arrival of your friends. Many times I’ve pinged them in the airport to make them aware of a delay to their flight before anyone has had the courtesy to inform them!
Fabulous software I can’t imagine being without

The best.

What’s there to say this app is the best from curing boredom to spending hours being an AVgeek to telling you great and accurate information on you future and existing flights. I have a silver membership and the experience only gets better by taking away ads and giving even more information. Thank you for all the fun I’ve been able to have and I look forward to seeing what’s to come!

I travel regularly and find Flight Radar Pro incredibly useful. The subscription is good value when you consider the value it brings, you can determine your plane is delayed before it’s announced at the airport and be at the front of the queue for alternative flights. You can go to your gate earlier than when the Departure Board shows the gate because you know where it’s parked. You can choose which side of the plane to sit on for the best view when visiting new places by looking at historical flights and considering the wind direction. And, like recently when I visited Athens the local approach radar is out of service….you can choose if you want to actually stay on the flight if the air space is not clear before you take off. Highly recommended 😎

Get the app. I personally think it is good. One annoying thing is that if you want weather added to it you have to pay extra. It is still a great app and this is a plane tracker not weather app anyway lol. Can you also maybe lower the price of subscriptions. What I would like to see most is military aircraft. Please do that, IM BEGGING YOU!! Update: thanks for doing that but why do I only sometimes see military aircraft. Sometimes I see tons other times I sometimes see none. I don’t know if this is a bug with the app or just genuinely no military planes around the world at the time. It’s probably a bug so please look into it

Adverts have ruined what was a fantastic app

I used to love this app and didn't mind paying the initial sit up fee to get it but since February 2023 the adverts popping up have become unbearable and are ruining the user experience. I get that this is to coerce people into upping their subscription and the developers have to make money somehow but the app is becoming unusable and has been totally ruined by the incessant adverts which, if you’re listening to music and using the app at the same time, can sometimes switch your music off and completely invade your personal space. I’ve had enough and have installed a different app to use. I want my initial sign up fee back!

Accurate, useful and fun!

I have had Flightradar24 for several years now and find it accurate in its plotting and use it to get to our local (Manchester UK) at the best time to meet flights. It’s more up to date than the airport apps in that respect. It was also useful in discussing flight paths with airport authorities when flights suddenly appeared on new take off paths over our house!
And it’s fun to see who is going where - helicopters especially. Good on holiday to to check that inbound flights are on time to return home!

Really Good

A great app for any AvGeek or even anyone who wants to track their flight while being the best out there, for free too! Sometimes it isn’t precise but you cant blame it as it tracks every commercial aircraft in the sky and uses info from the aircraft and a very complex system with many variables. (When it isn't precise its no more than a mile out of range or when at airports it looks like the aircraft overrun). Other than that I use this app for plane spotting and love it. Great how it gives all the stats too and the free version is great unlike most other apps that bug you to upgrade, although I do recommend going to silver for £10 a year as its worth it. 5 stars.

Brilliant App. And Im not a plane spotter.

I recently bought an Airband Radio , but after discovering this App I put the Radio on ebay and sold it.
Theres no point in listening to air traffic hoping that a flight number gets mentioned, when you can have all the data in front of you on screen!
I cannot vouch for its accuracy but its pretty good. Even military fighter planes show up. Occasionally I have seen full size airliners and huge heights almost 40,000 feet and the App hasn’t identified them. Maybe classified flights? But these are a tiny minority.
I live on the final approach to Manchester and most flights are Holiday jets at 4000 feet and its perfect for them.
If you have to collect family members from the airport, its a brilliant method to work out when to set off- although not the apps fault that you have no idea how long to allow for baggage collection lately!

So, should you subscribe?

You betcha! The reason? I’m sitting in Cyprus on a sun lounger hearing planes go by. Can’t see them as they’re flying behind the hotel building. I’d like to see em but I can’t. Fire up Flight24 and not only can I see what the aircraft is but where it’s come from, where it’s going and even see the plane type, altitude etc etc.
So I come home and see Russia has invaded Ukraine. I wanna know what NATO are up to so I fire up Flight24 and check out the REAL StratoTankers, UAVs and Blackhawk Helicopters doing their thing around Europe. While for security reasons you don’t get a history of aircraft movements over days you do get pretty good idea what’s happening in real-time. Makes it very exciting at times. And even if you don’t know what to look for just check out the most viewed flights to find out what other people are peeking at. They’ll point you in the right direction..
I don’t know how this app / site works but it just DOES.. seriously.
Try before you subscribe gals and guys. I did and haven’t looked back. I literally use it every day for something.
Well done Flight24 team! Keep it up!

This app has let me see the air activity freely and with a subscription as well, it has given me the opportunity to see rare and extraordinary planes in the air, and has given me the talking point in my friends and family who share the same passion as I do with aviation as myself, I highly recommend this app to people who share the same passion as I do as it gives you endless opportunities to see amazing planes with live satellite tracking on the planes you love, and the planes that you don’t see everyday. 10/10.

After several ignored emails my Silver subscription will not log in. They are not interested in putting this right. DO NOT BUY!!! Do yourself a big favour and get PLANE FINDER. So much more information even on the basic. You get flight ID for free which you have to pay for with F24. You get a compressive list of Arrivals and Departures. Fee has crashed more times than I’ve had it on due to server overload. My answer is with the money you are making buy a better server. I have had PLANE FINDER for 2 weeks with crashes at all. I want my money back but I bet I have to wait till he’ll freezes over. ON BUY IF YOU LIKE BEING RIPPED OFF. NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR. UPDATE: - No you haven’t answered my emails and no they have gone into spam. Mainly because I requested a refund you ignored them. Please provide copies of the emails you sent so I can forward them to Apple. I WANT A REFUND!!!
UPDATE

My son had installed this for me so I could see what sort of work day he was having as an air ambulance pilot Now that I live close to Newquay airport it gives me joy to confirm my recognition of helicopters and planes by sound.
Today I am using it to track my daughter’s flight from Cape Town and will have an accurate indication of her landing time. I already know that her flight was delayed by 2.25 hours before leaving due to it arriving late in Cape Town.

I’m currently using Flightradar24 and I’m just looking at all the planes Taking off and landing at London Heathrow And i randomly see a Circle Object I clicked on it and All it said about the thing was that it was A ball? And i have no idea what It could be And you can’t track a ball so I’m just Deeply confused. Also it says it’s travelling at 100 ots and at 1,000 feet?
They only other thing i could think of would be Blimps but it would say blimp on it
I would appreciate if anyone could Explain what it is!

I’ve been using this app for years, used the original lite version and then decided to “upgrade” to the paid version for a nominal one off fee. I was happy with that, it worked for me and just having fun looking at where everyone was flying.
“This app is no longer in use, upgrade to the new app” said an unexpected pop up message. Sure I thought. Wait where’s the stuff I paid for? Gone that’s where. What a con! No warning, no if you do this you will lose that. The facade of an upgrade to cunningly hoodwink people into a new subscription model. How is it legal to take someone’s money for a product and then take that product back with no refund. I didn’t pay for your app for limited time access, I bought a licence to use your paid version permanently. I can still install windows 95 on a pc if I own a copy of it but your old version of the app you’ve effectively raided my device and stolen. Then had the cheek to ask me to “upgrade” to a paid version AGAIN.

As the title mentions:
I've loved this app for years, had a gold membership on and off since it came out. I just went to reinstall on my old iPad 4 IOS v10.3.3
Yes I know I should upgrade but it only appears to be a small crash on start-up. Hopefully if the bug team are able to they might see this and have time to look. I do understand that you've probably stopped supporting devices, hence the 5* as I know there is no "real" bug. Would be nice to have an older version available in the store. I could live with fewer functions if it meant that app loaded. Thanks a lot, sorry for the waffly "review".

I paid for the original app and was forced to upgrade to this version only to find that I was also being forced to view annoying and irrelevant ads that I have no interest in.
Now the greedy developers want me to take out a subscription just to stop the ads! Well that’s never going to happen.
A bad move for the developers as this app now is too annoying to use and as there’s no loyalty to the people who supported them in their early years, I’d not recommend this app to anyone.
Read the thousands of reviews from other people saying the same thing. One star is one star too many for my rating.

I have had a self hosted plane tracking system for quite a while and Flightradar24 offer substantial benefits for anyone willing to participate in their program. Also you are not limited to this site you an gain benefits from multiple other sites hungry for the data you can supply! So for around a £50 to £60 pound outlay and around £5 to £10 increase in your electric bill (not a problem if like me you also provide other services on this cost, Raspberry pi is the way to do it). Your payback from all the various sites covers the. Cost of the hardware in about 6 months!

Having worked in aviation for some 20 years (20 years ago) it’s amazing nowadays to see how various types of aircraft can be viewed in real time all around the world. Gone are the days when I used to manually file flight plans, request slot times, watch for the aircraft to get airborne and that was it until it hopefully arrived at its planned destination. Tracking the aircraft wasn’t possible short of working for ATC and even then it was control space restricted.
Aviation technology wise, it’s amazing! Whatever will be next?
A super app that I use almost every day.

I have a brand new Dell i5 laptop and a selection of older Apple products, iPad, MacBook Pro and iPhone 11pro, all except the Dell laptop are capable of showing my location with either a blue circle or a cross!
I find it ridiculous that Flightradar24 has the capacity to show nearly every aircraft in the UK yet can’t show my own location!!!
This needs rectifying! ASAP... I use Flightradar24 in conjunction with my SDR radio, that can only run on my new Dell, and I constantly need to change screen to see what’s flying over my location, very frustrating!
Next up is gliders, simply put, they are too difficult to spot when using a mobile, and still difficult to spot on a normal monitor, how about something like a brightly coloured letter G so they can be easily identified
Thanks

Had old app which I paid for and used infrequently. It worked; and was still working fine until developers decided to deliberately stop it working, in a blatant case of built-in obsolescence to force use of 'new' app which uses a subscription model. Unfortunately; new 'free' app is badly flawed. First plane (jet) in several weeks to fly over house not shown. So, where on earth is the incentive for forking out for a subscription for an app which is nowhere as reliable as original app. Since it appears effectively useless, I shall probably delete.
Furthermore, I am considering insisting upon a refund from Apple for the original purchase, since the developers have deliberately nobbled a working app in defiance of Apple's terms and conditions. I suggest other dissatisfied purchasers do the same. Plus, the blatant use of built-in obsolescence appears a fragrant breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Paid for the previous version of this app, now they’ve disabled it and say I need to use the new version. Problem is, I need to pay again with the new version to get the same features I previously had. The developer tries to dress this up by saying that additional features are now also included, but I don’t want the additional features - I just want the features back that I have ALREADY PAID FOR. The developer’s response to this in other reviews is that these new additional subscription charges are needed to develop new features, well that doesn’t wash: I’ve paid for the old features, you’ve taken my money - give me them back! In any other form of retail this would be classed as fraud. If the developer has done this once they can do it again. Save yourself the trouble and download the Planefinder app.

Disgusting.

I don’t write reviews, and honestly usually think of them as a waste of time. In this instance though I’m disgusted enough by the greed of this developer to actually write something.
Having tried to access the old app, I was greeted with news it’s no longer supported, and I should download the new free app. Following this, I’m told I need to get a subscription to have all the features I used to have (and paid for!!) and more…
I don’t want more though. I just want the old app that did what it said on the tin, for a single defined price that IVE ALREADY PAID!
The most reprehensible part of all of this, is that they’ve disabled the old app, forcing the move to this new pile of trash. As a developer, I know that all they’ve done is disable the API authentication for that old app, and inserted a little pop up… which feels like a complete spit in the face given it was a valid, Paid for, and working product, which has been completely neutered.
Unless something big changes soon, I won’t be using or recommending this, or any other Flightradar24 products ever again.

Like many things these days, we like familiarity when selecting a programme, but unfortunately, the latest updates are rarely an improvement for me. It also applies to replacement printers for example. Who does it benefit? Well certainly not the client.
I notice there are now advertisements thrust onto the screen.
If I want to purchase something, I will do my own research before placing an order, so the advertising is wasted on me and an unwelcome intrusion.

I use this app a lot. Generally at work to track inbound aircraft. I have been using flight radar24 since day one. And paid the one off cost to access the full version. Now they have decided to become money grabbers and try to force people like me on a subscription model. It’s pretty sad to treat those original customers and those who have advertised this app this way. I would expect those who had preciously paid the one off cost at the time to continue to receive the product on the basis of the deal at the time they joined. There is no appreciation of the amount of business I have bought this app through friends and family. Other flight tracker apps are available. I would recommend going for one of these instead. And supporting developers that aren’t just money grabbers.

This app has the potential to be very good, but I (and many others) don’t want to pay £34 per year for these features! The last app was great because of the one off payment which allowed you to access all features (admittedly not as extensive as this app). I didn’t appreciate going on to my old app today to be told it’s no longer supported and to get anything like what I had before I’d have to pay some sort of subscription! I understand that you have to make money to be able to develop and support the app but you already feature ads in this new app anyway so surely you’re getting enough revenue without having to have the very expensive YEARLY subscription! If it was a small (below £5) one off price to access these features on this new app I’d definitely purchase it but the £34 subscription is too much!

Any paid subscription may stop working at any time. And this doesn’t entitle you to any refund
neither from the developer nor from the Apple.
I once bought the previous version of the app which I kept enjoying to play with from time to time. Just recently the developer announced that the app will stop working in March 2020. I was refused any refund from both Flightradar24 and Apple without any explanation.
The developer encourages you to install new version of the app. But the purchases which worked on the previous version are only available in paid subscription in the new app. So from 5 star down to 2 from my side.

Took a 7-day Free Trial which automatically switched to a Silver monthly-paid subscription after the free trial ended and the first payment was taken. All fine. Decided to upgrade from Silverto Gold subscription via the in-App upgrade. The App Store took a FURTHER payment for the upgrade, but then FAILED to switch my account to Gold. I was “locked” in a Silver subscription despite now having paid originally a Silver fee then an additional full Gold fee on “upgrade”. Despite trying all ways to fix this I could not. The account remained as a Silver sub, all Gold features locked out, yet in the “manage subscription” settings it showed as a Gold account. Contacted FR24 support and was fobbed off with the excuse “you bought the subscription through the App Store, so we can’t fix this, not our problem, have a nice day” FU sort of message. The only way to fix this is to cancel my subscription to stop future payments for Gold being taken while the App leaves me stuck with only Silver features. What a crock of rot! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PURCHASE A SUBSCRIPTION TO THIS APP. FR24 are not interested in fixing it when the platform fails to unlock your paid-for content!

I’ve had the app for quite a while and there are some new updates that I would like. Firstly I would like a new filter for routes so you can only see flights between two airports, as I have been wanting to see how many flights take place between London and New York, but I would also like to see flights between other airports as well. Another filter I would like to be added to the next update is flight length, as I would like to only see flights over/under a certain length. Also sometimes the app can run quite slowly, which isn’t a major concern but it would be appreciated if it can be fixed.

I use Flightradar24 to track flights of family and friends and it became really interesting when my wife set off to America. I was following her progress when the plane passed over Ireland then it turned round, headed to Scotland then flew in circles for an hour to lose fuel before heading back to Manchester where it landed safely. A ‘backup’ fault had been found over Ireland. I often hear planes & helicopters fly overhead and with a tap on the app I’m shown a picture of the plane, it’s route, speed, altitude and much more. It really is interesting seeing planes in flight in real time & it’s fun way to teach children geography too. I really recommend trying it.

Brilliant, gives exact location of a plane, will not use anything else.

I use this all the time and it saves lots of time wondering where the plane you are meeting or waiting to board is. I have sat in an airport waiting for an overdue plane with no information as to when it arrives or will depart from the notice boards or airline staff. With this app you not only get an accurate ETA but get a real time location for it in the air, meaning you can go and have that extra drink or snack without worrying that you may miss the flight. Likewise we can sit at home and wait before we leave to pick up arriving friends, instead of waiting around in an expensive airport with the parking fees going up and up. Well done on producing this app.

This App is fantastic and has made my aircraft obsession more infesting as not only can I watch live moment but also get notifications about conditions and at times updates of love aviation incidents as they are unfolding. With some fantastic choices of settings, 3D models and much more, this is the perfect App for anyone who loves aviation. I would be lost without this fantastic App. Highly Recommended 👍

But there are some aircraft - A300 family, A310, Bombardier CRJ family, Embraer E-Jet family, Fokker family, DC-10, MD-11, MD-80 family and Sukhoi Superjet 100 - appear as 737s in 3D view.
Also, some of the wingtip devices do not appear, such as the wingtip fences and blended winglet ‘sharklet’ in the A320 family and the split-tip winglets on the 737s. There are probably some others.
Additionally, plane liveries are not consistent. On most newer Boeing aircraft (excluding the 737) they have the Boeing family livery, but on most planes, there is not livery: it is just grey. A suggestion: it would be nice if they were installed with the appropriate airline’s livery.

Well I’ve had the old app for about 2 years and seems to have got slower and like somebody else said some planes and helicopters don’t show up! Also why should we have to pay for an upgrade at all?? As after all I paid for it originally so did 1000’s of others no doubt and the subscription as well?
Firstly it doesn't actually show what features you do and don’t get within the silver and gold subscription and again I ask why should we have to pay for a subscription!! You don’t buy a house then pay rent!
And you don’t buy a car and then pay a lease!
So if it was a subscription from the beginning and myself and so many 1000’s of others had decided to download it then that’s our choice but it wasn’t it was meant to be a 1 off payment for an app! So app developers stop being greedy with the subscription it was your own fault you made it a 1 off fee in the first place!
So update of my review as of 14th August 2018 no reply from developers as to why we should have to pay for a upgrade after we already bought the app I think the whole thing stinks! I paid for the app and because they realise they’re missing out on subscription prices I.E. profit! They decide to try and get us to updraft at our cost!!! Must think I got out of a banana boat yesterday!!

As a long time user of Flight Radar I dip into this version every so often to see if it has improved. In short it offers nothing that I don't already get from the previous app, which I can use without adverts or subscription.
As I only use the App to see what is flying over my house the features that are included in the subscriptions are not relavent to to me (except maybe vertical speed) and I don't want to pay £20 a year just to remove adverts when I already have an ad free version that works perfectly without a subscription.
Rather than giving us long time, loyal users a trial subscription, maybe offer us the ad free experience. You never know, you might then convince us to move over and who knows, we then might want to try all those extra features. Until then, I'll stick with what I have got.

AR Problems July 2018 - Update

Update: following a swift response from the developer, and a dig in the depths of the iPhone settings, the problem is resolved. It was all down to compass calibration - how do these things change? I’ve now restored the five star rating, thanks go to Simon.
In the last 3 weeks my AR has failed. It was working fine before but now all I get is a partial picture in the top left hand corner of my iPhone SE screen. The map circle appears at the bottom along with the slider and the pause button all of which seem to work but make no difference to AR. I’ve deleted and reinstalled several times, changed the compass to the apple version and changed various settings all to no avail. Finally I checked FR24 on my wife’s iPhone SE and AR works fine. There is nothing on the forum save for a 2016 reference to a similar problem on an iPad but no real solution. I’m a silver member and generally very pleased with FR24 but a resolution to this would be good.

Layers of very interesting information - including many weeks of an aircraft's flights; aircraft in active on the ground at an airport; age of the aircraft. Can even play back summary of recent flights.
It is even easy to navigate and user friendly for someone in their mid-50's!
The only complaint that I would have: when listing the flights on route a to b, it just lists them by airline and flight number BUT not date and time and date of a recent or upcoming flight. This makes it more difficult to work out which plane a relation or friend might be travelling or working on (you might easily know the route, date and time that you are interested in but not the flight number). The older version included the date and time in small writing under each flight: this should be very easy to correct - go back to the way it used to be on the simpler, free version!!

Strange.

Just got this app and I was well impressed with it until that is,it showed a helicopter near Wigan some 18 miles away and as I tracked it towards my position,it vanished? The helicopter actually showed up not half a mile from my bedroom window but the AR didn't show it and it's vanished off screen?? It certainly hasn't crashed because I know where it's landed!....not good I'm afraid.( Update)...I've just had a response to my review and it seems there are many variables to tracking and showing aircraft. I guess I'm used to using a similar type of app for ships which is very accurate. So although the reasons for the missing aircraft are out of the apps control it only goes up 1 star as in the end there are still aircraft flying over my house that just don't appear on the app. Not sure if this is any help but it appears that the larger the aircraft, the more likely it is to show up? A few single prop and helicopters have definitely flown over and " off the radar" as it seems. Thanks for the teams reply in explaining things too! Summary then... Seems good for general information but does not have 100% accuracy. Maybe the other similar apps are of a same ability too so happy plain hunting!
UPDATE..Amazingly since paying the gold subscription everything works as it should! Shame it's so pricey though,

I used to plane spot with my dad and if I’d had this app when I was a kid I’d never put it down! It’s fantastic but in my mind it’s missing a couple of crucial features for the hard core plane spotter.
There’s no way to log which aircraft you’ve seen. This is the whole point behind plane spotting. There are even books just for the task (civil air markings) and I still have a book somewhere that I used to tick off planes I’d seen which was great fun. It’s a great app but how anyone can call it the perfect app for plane spotters clearly knows nothing about plane spotting.
In addition to ticking off aircraft, this feature would also allow us to know if we’ve seen a certain aircraft before and where. That would be cool, for want of a better word!
I don’t know if there are data restrictions preventing these features but it seems to me there’s a huge untapped market for real plane spotting and logging and not just simple identification. How about it Flight Radar?

Now disappointed

I loved the old app to the extent of paying to upgrade which is extremely rare for me, so to find that you now want me to not just upgrade again, but to actually subscribe!!! Why should I? YOU were the ones who changed it, and you say we can download the new version free which sounds good but you neglect to say that half of what we paid for is not available to us without the subscription. Well sorry, but I personally think you should let those who have been with you for ages and who have paid to upgrade to get the FULL new version for free, or I wouldn’t mind paying another token one off payment and you charge new users the subscription. Personally, I think you have just signed your own death warrant, there are a lot of other apps out there.

Having now upgraded to a modern iPad I wanted to reinstall all my previously used apps.
However I can’t install the old version of Flightradar as it’s no longer available. Instead I have to use the new app which they now expect me to pay a subscription to avoid getting adverts. It’s basically legalised theft!
I don’t need all the new features, I just don’t want to see adverts.
Looks like I’ll have to find another app/app developer (and give them my money if needed) as these guys/girls obviously don’t care about there previous customers - they are now focusing on their profit margin; very disappointing!

I paid full price for the old Flightradar24 and was moved on to this version when they stopped updating it. I don’t use the app enough to justify a subscription. All was fine with banner ads up until a few days ago, now I’m getting full screen pop up ads at random even one after the other. Are you guys for real!? It’s incredibly crass. I don’t understand how any developer thinks this will endear users into paying. I’ll start using another app if this does not stop. Also, since you’ll make next to nothing from me as an individual through ad revenue why not allow me a one time €1.99 payment to remove ads altogether? I’d be happy to pay for just that one feature.

This does exactly what I want. I live under a Manchester approach flight path and it’s great for identifying the aircraft as they fly over. Perfect.
More... the ads only appear in a window of the left hand panel when you select an aircraft. They don’t interfere with the app and aren’t obtrusive at all. Been using this for a few days and can’t fault it really. Been wanting something like this for a while!
I particularly like the fact that when viewing the details of a flight you can click on the start point and get it up on the map to see where in the world the plane has come from. Excellent attention to detail.
Just one thing ~ the “binoculars “ are now replaced by the icon labelled “AR”, so I didn’t find that immediately. Also this view lags a bit but that’s not a biggie.
