I absolutely love Pinterest, however, I have been using it as an influencer and due to a recent update, no one can find my account anymore. I’m 16, so more than old enough to have a public account and have these on other social media platforms, but with Pinterest I can’t because I’m under 18… can you please fix this??? I also use Amazon affiliate marketing and it seems that the links all say currently unavailable even though when you open them in the browser they are available. Can this be fixed???

I absolutely love Pinterest, I’ve spent a long time refining and personalising my boards. However, I don’t understand why I can’t upload multiple pictures from my gallery to a board or section? It’s so time consuming if I have a lot of pictures ready to upload, and then to do that one by one?? Gosh if I wasn’t already dedicated to my boards I would’ve given up a long time ago.

This app has ridiculous system when it comes to following guidelines, I don’t upload any pins but Pinterest keep removing my saved ones saying they violated the community guidelines, how is that my fault? They should address it to the creator of the pin not the people who saved them also there’s no logical or good way to appeal as well as telling which does and which doesn’t violate the guidelines you can save three pins exactly the same and one of them will be removed.

How may I ask do Pinterest remove my pictures from my secret boards

Because someone has reported them?! No one else can see them so who reported them??. Sort it out Pinterest!!

Someone needs to retrain your staff. The amount of pins that you are being removing that have been on hidden/secret boards for years and all of a sudden you purging them. How can a pair of heels be in violation of something they’re my feet my shoes there’s nothing else on there it’s just exasperating when you have hidden boards that have literally been hidden since the day I made them when Pinterest first open for business and now all of these years later they’re being purged pin after pin after pin.

It’s boring and really annoying for those accounts that have pins in the thousand’s and thousand’s , and the email with the link to show you what pin you removing doesn’t work. It just opens the app and then I have no idea what picture has been removed or even a chance to save the image before you delete it. Sorted out Pinterest because I am literally at that point of deleting the app and never having it back again

Two things I am not satisfied with is having to upload multiple pins into a slideshow, to which I'm not fond of. l want this to be separately added as an option. For deleted boards, there should be an additional option to have it back for at least 30 days, as well as the boards having the same name already, this should be approaching, as both of these features can be useful tools to ensure each user’s experience an overall improvement.

Really loved this app but there’s too many ads nowadays to use it like I used to, often there will be just 1 real pin surrounded by 4 ads on my screen. Really disappointing, and not at all what Pinterest should be. I also have pins being taken down every day after being wrongfully flagged for being against the tos, and it’s incredibly exhausting to have to constantly appeal these. There are also a bunch of bugs on my app, including being unable to delete pins 1/2 of the time, and having to click off and refresh the app which is super frustrating. All in all will probably stop using pinterest unless it goes through massive changes to restore its initial values and quality. As always, cooperate greed has ruined a good thing.

I love Pinterest. It is half of my life. And then I use the occasional hide feature as the pin was not related to me. Then it starts to show me more and more and more of what I hide and report, who I unfollow, and things like this. I am extremely tired and upset about this issue. Fix it. In the meanwhile, one star. I downloaded this app because I was looking for a app where I can become more ✨PoPuLaR✨ and I signed in and blah blah blah. Yeah so after that I made my account like i said a while back… and yeah.. so after I did that…I looked up some ✨aEstHeCtIc✨ and ✨pRePpY✨ stuff and what came up was so… just so… concerning….

So after that… it came up with loads of ✨wOmEnS✨ let’s just call it.. smexy stuff…they really should be putting age restrictions like show your driving licence or do a video…showing how old you are….

I love this app and even a week ago i would give it 5 stars, but I'm really upset about new update. Now when you are saving pins to secret boards, you can see them in your All Pins folder. Even though these pins are still invisible for others, it's really pisses me off to see them myself with all pins I've saved to opened boards. It's just that I use this app for aesthetic purposes in the first place and I always was very picky with what I save and how it looks together. Now that I see all pins including ones I saved to secret boards, I can't sort them exactly how I want. Please, dear developers, can you fix this?

Man I love Pinterest so much as a concept which is part of the reason this app frustrates me so much. It’s SO glitchy. Some common problems I have are:

- refuses to show me my updates/notifications (like it’ll give me the badge that I have 3 new, but when I tap onto the tab it either shows there’s nothing there or just a completely blank page like it hasn’t loaded at all)

- just freezes completely, have to force stop the app to fix it

- when you try to save a pin from the preview, the list of boards gets stuck on the loading screen indefinitely. Have to close and reopen the app and then actually go on to the pin itself or the glitch will just repeat.

- crashing, less common but just as annoying

- when mass moving pins from one board to a different board, it saves them into the general board instead of the section I chose. I then have to go in, reselect them all and move to the section again, which works.

I think there’s more things I’m forgetting about but those are what come to mind. My phone is not outdated or broken and is fully updated and in working order, so it’s not a problem on my end. I don’t have any of these problems with the web version on my PC.

I love Pinterest, since Instagram has begun focussing on their short form video content i’ve seen myself move to Pinterest for classic photo content. However, never have I used such an established application in the world of social media have so many bugs. Unfortunately these bugs often make me close the app and not open it again for a few days, these bugs are so frustrating. Besides some obvious UX issues that make ease of use difficult and annoying, deleting a pin from one of your boards is one of the hardest things to do without encountering a bug, almost every time without fail, attempting to delete a pin results in the app seizing to respond and requiring a restart. Another common bug is on the front page, it’s a similar issue to deleting a pin. Scrolling works just fine but interacting with the posts such as clicking on them is undoable. This really is a shame as the concept of Pinterest is great and I really enjoy using it. Hope to see some fixes soon.

A versatile mood board app sadly ruined by its two-faced admin procedures

Pinterest is a visual mood board app which looks promising because of its versatile and user-friendly functionality thus making it ideal for research and idea generation.

Alas, it is ruined by the harsh and frankly two-faced procedures carried out by the content moderation team.

In my experience, the admins may notify you by email of removing certain Pins you may save and/or upload via Pinterest. But, at the same time, the admins refuse to tell you which Pins they had removed and/or why.

Long story short, even if you strive to abide by the Community Guidelines they uphold, the admins would still remove said certain anyway and, worst of all, threaten to take action against users’ accounts just for saving said Pins, regardless whether they uploaded said pins or not.

After using the Pinterest app for almost a year, I finally got fed up with the admin’s two-faced policy procedures and decided to delete my Pinterest account altogether, just so they wouldn’t get the satisfaction of deleting it against my will.

All in all, the concept of Pinterest and its functions sound promising to future users. But I must strongly advise that, unless you’re willing to run the risk of having your account compromised despite your best behaviour, you’d be better of using a different app with more flexible content policy procedures.

Love you Pinterest but I left for not even a week why have I returned to this downgrade. I feel like crying real adult tears. Why is every other pin on my feed now an advert?? And it’s actually delusional to think I’m buying anything from Hugo boss, Chanel or any of the other companies whose ads are now being shoved in my face, I wouldn’t buy from them generally but in this economy???? On Christmas Eve???? Surely we’re all having a laugh and I’m not in on the joke. 10/10 ! ! 💌 Pinterest is a great app! You can find anything and is amazing. Anything will match your interests, if you prefer a pink, beige and white aestehtic or a blue, red and green one anything will match. You can make boards where you can save stuff and its really fun! You can follow people, post, save, like and more! I would say that a 10 year old could use this just make sure that they are being safe. You can find haircuts you want, rooms and more. There are recipes that you can follow and lots of tutorials. You can find wallpapapers, widgets and more, you can do easy makeup tutorials and find your favourite stuff! :)

It’s amazing how you can go from one craft to another, as seeing something you are interested in inspires you to have a try at it. Pinterest is an amazing app i’ve been using it for awhile now i create boards and such. Its so so creative but the new update is a no. Apparently people under 16 their account is private, you cant even message anyone, no one can follow you or view your board or profile. It’s so ridiculous mostly everyone can be independent by the age of 13 i’d understand the privacy of under 13 but whoa you have to be 16 now. This update shouldnt have existed at all i cant create or message boards with my friends now one of my friend had to create a new account because of this maybe me too. At first i thought this was a glitch maybe it will be fixed but now its meant to stay like this? All my followers disappeared I worked so hard for that! Im sure most people are disappointed about this I honestly think of deactivating this app instead now your update is making me hate this app you know? Pinterest was only fun because i can hangout with other people. I am currently 15 years old I have to wait a year to publish my account no way im waiting that long this may not be a big deal for you but for me it is and maybe for others. I loved Pinterest and I loved sharing my boards and pins with friends, but because I was under the age of 16 at the time of the new privacy policy introduction, my account was forcefully privated and all options of undoing this were gone. I can’t see who’s following me or who I’m following and when other people look up my account it supposedly doesn’t exist.

Now that I’m over 16, I assumed my account would give the option to un private due to the correct birthday I gave the app and it when it didn’t I emailed the help service. Why is it than in order to just un private an account when you are literally of the right age due to the birthday you put in you have to give your government ID or birth certificate to a third party? That’s the weirdest policy ever and super suspicious.

This policy overall was just executed appallingly badly, causing glitches for everyone across the app and ruining the overall reason why people loved Pinterest in the first place, not to mention the removal of messaging on there.

First of all, Pinterest is an amazing app. Similar to other social and influencer’s apps like TikTok, Instagram and many more but different. I love how you can view things for sale on the app, but there is a slight problem. For instance, if you live in Japan and are viewing clothes that a company is selling in America, below the picture it would say “$13” or something close to that. But if you click to visit the company’s website it would now be in Yen. It isn’t really a problem but if you could, please fix it. I also enjoy that you can personalise watch you want to view on Pinterest. For example, there is different choices of what you would like to see on your For you page when you first sign up. You also add your age (which is on private) so you can view the appropriate posts. I recommend Pinterest for someone who enjoys socialising with people and sharing videos and photos. Though i am still figuring out how to post a clip, it's quite fun seeing what people think about your life, by wether they like, comment or follow. Pinterest is also good for introverts who might enjoy cute cats, skin care routines or many other things. I hope you enjoy Pinterest as much as i do!

The new update about protecting people’s account under the age 16 genuinely does not make sense at all as even though they are disabled, some people can still harm the community even if they are 18+ which is again nonsense. Every single update the developers has been making these past few months does not help people’s interest but rather make it unusable instead. Suspending multiple random accounts just because of these new updates harm the long time users of pinterest as their boards mostly either got deleted or put into private. People have been signing MULTIPLE appeals on the pinterest help center which i hope you guys can go back soon and actually help people in need because of the problem with the new update. I love Pinterest and I have used it for years with no problems, but about a month ago I updated the app and suddenly things are going wrong. First of all, it always says that I have lots of notifications but I click on the tab and there is nothing. It’s not like people just don’t interact (explaining the lack of notifications) because I comment on lots of posts, and I always used to get quite a lot of notifications about likes or replies, so it’s really strange that I haven’t had any in the last month. But the most important issue is that I can’t message anyone. Not only have all my past messages disappeared, the whole messages tab is completely gone. At first I thought this was a privacy thing but I looked through all the settings and I couldn’t fix it. My friend told me that they tried to send me something but they couldn’t send anything to me, meanwhile when I try and send pins, there isn’t even an option to send them within Pinterest. I’ve updated the app at least three times, hoping it would be fixed, but nothing has changed. I would appreciate it if this could be sorted as I mainly use the app to send pins to my friends and I can’t do that anymore

I love Pinterest honestly, it’s great for whenever I’m doing something, or going somewhere, I can create endless boards and put my ideas down visually, like what outfits I’m looking for, which hairstyles I’d suite, or planning a holiday! I really do love it!

However, when you want to make your page as close to your aesthetic as possible, the bugged feature of the cover photo makes that very difficult, not sure if I’m the only one with this problem, my profile picture is easy to change, and I can upload a different cover photo and it says successful. This isn’t the case, it automatically switches back to the previous one and no matter what I do it won’t change, I have exited the app and refreshed, nothing. I have completely turned off my device to restart it, nothing. I’ve even had numerous updates claiming bug fixes and the issue is still present.

This isn’t a major issue obviously but it does ruin the feel of the app, when you’re stuck with an ugly old cover pic. Hopefully it can be sorted! :)

Okay so Pinterest is one of the apps i go on most of the time and it’s such a useful app, If your looking for something e.g: aesthetic room decor on Google you won’t find the exact same results as you would find on Pinterest. You can communicate to people and have many options if you don’t want to continue the conversation with them! If your debating on whether you should get Pinterest or not, you 100% should. You can post funny, cute, sad, relatable pictures or videos onto the app and get payed by the app itself. If your a small content or business creator, I recommend trying Pinterest. The app itself gives of this type of amazing, calming vibe & the community is just GREAT. The people are really respectful and honest. If you are underage I think it’s good that they put a warning for deleting accounts underage as content on here may be inappropriate!

The genuine users, have been asking for over a year now, for the “following” tab to be reinstated! We need to have an active home feed, where we can see most recent pins from people we CHOOSE to follow! All this “picked for you” is absolute garbage, completely irrelevant and repetitive. Pin 1 picture of a cupcake, receive 50 of the exact same pin all the way down the feed. The algorithm is so off balance, it’s actually laughable now. Have reached out to “support” and just receive the usual generic response, “we’ll suggest this to the developers “ . Yeah ok then. This used to be my favourite app, I barely even bother with it now, for anyone upset at not being able to create an account, go to Weheartit or Tumblr. Developers are only interested in the reviewers who massage their ego. Boards are not refreshing now either, despite being set to “most recently pinned to” place is full of bots and disgusting content, even when you block someone, they can still get on your profile, so what’s the point in being able to block? Total joke. 1 star is generous. All the updates you do, yet nothing changes. Bored now.

I like Pinterest, and have been an off an on user for a while. I’ve recently got back into using it, after a while of it just sitting there. I like how I can get new recommendations from pins I’ve saved; also editable if you don’t want to see certain types of post you can amend it not to recommend this product or item or whatever the thing is.

There are a couple of issues though. First: coming in and out of the app, for any length of time, causes the feed to change, even if background app refresh is off. It can be especially annoying when you see a post you like but it disappears before your eyes never to be seen again. Second: when in a post, especially one when there’s scrolling; it’s very sensitive to finger presses and will open up links, left right and centre; with the nearest breath or touch.

I love Pinterest so much! It helps me look at bedroom inspiration as I would like to redecorate my bedroom. There are quite a few useful ‘hair style ideas’ ‘how to make ____’ idea pins that I always click on to get my interest. Creating boards is brilliant because I can save my ideas and actually get to doing them. I one day looked at a ‘Messy bun tutorial’ idea pin and I use that hairstyle every day. Pinterest is the only app that is like fun and productive at the same time. Recommend it for people who want to learn. One thing I do have to say is about photo comments, I know you removed them probably because of inappropriate behaviour and public guidelines, but I really liked it, especially on photo editing hacks people can’t show the results of that in the comments. Overall, I love Pinterest so much but please consider putting photo comments back on. Tysm 🤍

As a whole I love this app it’s great for inspiration whether it’s art or crafts or fashion or even if you just want to collect memes or images of things you have an interest in. I printed off some pictures from pinterest and have used them to create the beginnings of a photo wall which I love. The (now removed) tried pin feature where you could add a photo to pins was really fun especially if it was a craft project and you could see everyone’s attempts at the project. Please bring this feature back! On a more positive note, I really like the feature where you can have multiple images in one pin - great if the image is part of a series of images so you have them all in one pin instead of hunting for the matching ones.

I’ve always loved Pinterest and usually it would be 5 stars, but I really haven’t enjoyed my experience of late. The most jarring thing is that I follow many boards and accounts that are relevant to me and updated frequently, yet my feed never shows these pins. I’m constantly clicking ‘Hide’ because I’m being shown pins I’m not interested in. There used to be a tab where you could see all your followed posts, but now there isn’t - so where are these posts? What exactly is the point of following boards/accounts now? The next jarring feature is automatically forcing my music to stop every time an ad plays. It’s super frustrating and I’d be fine with all the ads if it weren’t for this. I know Pinterest can do better as I’ve seen better from it, it just needs a few tweaks to make it an app people love again🤞🏼

I actually love this app. I use it for so many different things, like a sense of community, memes, tumblr posts, and also inspiration for various mediums of creativity. I just drew a photo posted of someone and, when I went to post the picture of my drawing I realised that the photo option was gone. I went to google this, as I figured it was a little bug that could be fixed by a quick workaround but no, pinterest has just taken away this feature. I kinda thought the point of this app was for inspiration, as so much of the app is diys, recipes and crafts. one of its best features was posting pictures of people’s takes on these ideas and pictures, and, to be frank, I’m quite annoyed that its gone. im sort of reconsidering having this app at all, even though I have an average of like 8 hours or something ridiculous on pinterest a week, as I will find it difficult to use without the option of sharing my try- this could be a dealbreaker and I would love for it to come back. I love this app so much! There’s so much to look at and explore without getting involved in any accidents, toxicity or drama thats common in other social media platforms. The community is so diverse, people are just nice to each other and reading comments is just a blast!

But that’s where a problem for me lies now, because for some reason there are no more comments that are accompanied with pictures anymore. I don’t know if its just me but there’s been a surprisingly less amount of comments with with that picture feature and I see some people complaining about it in random pins. For me, comments and commenting on pins I liked, really elevated my enjoyment on the app and now I feel like a part of that has been taken away now without that feature.

Please add it back! Pinterest will never be the same without it!

I love Pinterest 🤗! I started using it when my friend would always send me funny videos and cute animal videos, but I wouldn’t be able to watch them, so I decided to get it and make an account. I didn’t know what to do at first and I asked my friend lots of questions but soon- I got it (remember this was on my IPad). After a few weeks, I downloaded it on my phone 📱, but it wouldn’t work. It would stay on the loading screen, no matter how many times I reset my phone, deleted then reinstalled.. it wouldn’t work.

I think this is probably just my Wifi as it does work on different internet connections, but this has really frustrated me in the past. I’m sure it is just my wifi, so please don’t reconsider getting this app because I have been glued to this before for hours!

Pinterest is a really good app and I throughly enjoy, and still haven’t come across any major bugs which I am delighted about. I love the idea and creativity of it and have just discovered that you can comment on things which made me laugh since it took me months to figure out. It is incredible although I thought it was stereotyping a lot at first. When you first download Pinterest, you get a thing like “say what you like so we can show you something you will like etc.” For “girls” or shows room decor, anime, baking and so forth And for “boys” it was sports, games and, again, I think you get the idea. Apart from the random pointless gendering towards the start of my path throughout this app (it might be changed now, I don’t know), I have throughly enjoyed my experience and think it is an amazing app. A solid four stars, keep up the good work and enjoy your day!

UPDATE - why do you continue to update with more annoying things. It’s like you saw my review below and thought ‘let’s annoy her more’. Now it’s noisy video ads. I’m scrolling through and suddenly there is this blast of just NOISE from a pointless ad!!! Why?????

My friend and I used to joke (with a huge element of truth), that Pinterest was our salvation...our meditation room. When we were stressed, or needed to unwind, we'd go to Pinterest. I've given up lots of my favourite relaxation channels lately; magazines, TV, radio, Facebook....all for the same reason....TOO MANY ADS!!!! I am SO fed up with ads...I can't stand their overuse and I've made it my mission to not purchase things that over advertise. So I am livid now with the amount of ads on Pinterest now. It used to be the odd one or two, but I am now finding roughly every 6th image is an ad. I am constantly selecting the 'I just don't like ads' option, but this seems to prompt more. I really hate this and Pinterest is no longer a pleasure. If there is an option to pay to get rid of them, please let me know...I will consider paying so I can enjoy the service again. But please....enough!!!! You really do cheapen yourself by resorting to the amount of ads you show!

One thing tho:

The new feature (quick save) is really frustrating and time consuming and actually takes more time than just saving a pin to a certain section of a board.

For example

Let’s say I have a bonuses about animals, and in that board there is a section/subsection whatever you want to call it, of dogs. Before I would click Save>Animals>Dogs and that wasn’t the most efficient but it was easier to have that option. Now, with “quick save” I have to do:

Save>Animals>Change>choose section>animals> dogs

That’s longer isn’t it?

And I get the idea of saving it then sorting it afterwards but I don’t always want to do that because I’m not THAT organised-I just want to explore some pins and then save them somewhere simple but still easy to find later¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyways who knows I might be using it wrong but if I am maybe some sort of instructions within the app on how to use(or disable) quicksave would be appreciated

I haven’t been on Pinterest in a while, but I can say that I very much enjoy the photos and ideas it recommends. As anyone would, I do feel a bit creeped out at how quickly it changes my ‘preferences’ just because I used it for work or saved an image I would otherwise ignore.

But here’s the problem: It is really, really time consuming to save each pin to a certain board. I’ve tried playing around with it a bit, but every time I tap on the ‘save’ logo I see a pop up telling me it has been saved to quick saves. There is actually another square on that that says change, but if I try tapping it it just saves it to quick saves again a few times and then alerts me there has been an error. Does anyone know what is going on? A part of an update?

Even though this is happening (and I don’t know if anyone else has this problem) I would still recommend this app to everyone, no matter your interests! I’m all for the motivational quotes, and the artwork I see is truly stunning! Also, who doesn’t enjoy some dead memes? Way easier to navigate than the site, honestly.

Pinterest is my happy place, but ever so slightly less happy in this latest iteration where you have, for some inexplicable reason, removed the A-Z that runs down the side of the page. Now, when I click on a pin I want to save I have to scroll through my entire list of boards rather than being able to quickly jump to the letter of the alphabet in which the relevant board sits. Yeah, so this only adds a few seconds to my ‘journey’, but those seconds are precious! Plus if I scroll too far I can scroll back up again; rather, it just kicks me out instead of letting me scroll up and then I have to start again. Please consider reinstating the A-Z, or at least the ability to scroll up and down my list of boards. Many thanks 👍🏼

I love Pinterest it’s actually one of my favourite apps so many good ideas and it personalises the content to your previous searches and previous things you have saved. I have found lots of good ideas on this app and it is actually really helpful, however there are a couple of minor problems.

Such as the fact that Pinterest disabled my account when I had done absolutely nothing wrong and said I had gone against their spam policies when I wasn’t even on the app very long. But, they sent me and email which explained why they had disabled it but as I had done nothing wrong there was a link that you could explain why you believe they were wrong and they reviewed my account again within 12 hours, this time is probably different for other people but I just thought it was quite a good time for that. They then sent another email saying that they agreed that they wrongly disabled it and they reactivated my account. I think the only improvement that they could make is making sure they double check accounts before they disable them. But overall it’s a very good app and is really enjoyable.

Honestly I don’t know how I would live without Pinterest the only thing I would like is since story pins has been made my home feed has been filled with story pins and I have to skip all of them and it’s really annoying I like just looking at the pictures. Have had this app for quite few months now and at first it was something of a novelty but it’s constant alerts became tiresome as it essentially repeats the same things over and over; no doubt some people find it rewarding. Have uninstalled it recently owing to a virus problem that was undoubtedly hidden in one of these sites it highlights. I was helping my wife research hairstyles and as I found one that may have been interest to her I forwarded the link via Watts app; it appears that the link contained a possible virus as an alert came up on her iPhone as she opened it; her phone fortunately automatically set to destroy the virus which appears to be successful; my phone thankfully didn’t get any virus.

I have uninstalled the app and also unsubscribed via the email alerts it sends daily only to find Pinterest continues to contact me. I’ve unsubscribed numerous times now but to no avail.

So, I haven’t had Pinterest for long. For the amount of time I’ve used it, which is around 6 months at least, I have had no problems whatsoever and the app has been running smoothly and been easy to use,,, until today. Unfortunately I’m having a large problem to where I cannot even open the app without it crashing me out instantly. I don’t know if this has just been me but I have downloaded the app on two devices and it has worked on neither. They are not connected.

So far that is the only complaint I have as I enjoy using this app and again, have had no other issues with it, but I may have more in the future.

Pinterest has been my favourite app for years! I use it for recipes, photography, planning events, you name it! However, I found the latest design (for the app) unpleasant to my eyes. Not to be rude or egocentric. I just really love you guys and wanted to leave an honest review from a regular user and you never know if other people feel the same way. The rounded containers and the black edges catch my eye’s attention and gives me a sense of disorganisation. You know when you have a notebook and a pen in a table and the pen is not aligned with the notebook? Is that sort of feeling. It doesn’t necessarily means it is disorganised but it is the sense that it gives temporarily. I’ll continue using you regardless, and I do recommend you to my friends and family if they are looking for inspiration, recipes or other because I know they won’t regret it! Hope you take this review well.

I have used this app for like 3 years now and I don’t use it. I used to love this app like a year ago but now I just don’t like it as much. It just takes ages to load anything and I have a really good internet speed so it is definitely Pinterest. It has changed so much now. I think that Instagram is way easier and I can also do a lot more on there than Pinterest. I will probably delete my account due to how slow it is and how much I have not used it in the last year. You might as well get an Instagram account and make it private because you can actually follow people such as Ariana grandé and Billie eilish. Also pretty much everybody has Instagram. I just think that Pinterest is really outdated and not so popular due to not many known users on there. I also hate how you have to keep blocking ppl that you don’t want to follow u. Can’t you just decide for urself and make ur account private or public. GET WITH THE TIMES PINTEREST!?

I looooooove Pinterest! You can basically find anything that your interested in. I get a lot of inspiration of hair, makeup, shoes and nails. It also helps me with dance because you can find tons of stretches. I would recommend this to teachers as you can find things for and to do with your class. All you have to do to find an interest, search it 🔍, and then type for example “cute dogs”! Then it will come up with millions of examples that you can save to your board. Another cool thing is that you can follow people that have the same interest as you, then you can see there pins and then save them to your board if you like it to! Overall I definitely recommend this as a 10+ app. Hope you liked my recommendation!

I used to love Pinterest but the updates in the past year have become increasingly impractical and honestly ridiculous.

- Bring back the ‘Explore’ section, because that is what Pinterest is about, isn’t it? Bad call to remove it.

- When I get a notification saying that a comment of mine has been liked, if I click the comment it takes me to the post but removes the option to send the post or save it anywhere? What is the point of removing this feature? To make the pin take up more of the screen? Undo this please?

- The group board features are botched and I’m not sure if my complaint only applies to one (the ‘SAGA Group Board’), but in the ‘Activity’ tab everyone has to scroll down to get to the recent activity as some notifications are permanently stuck at the top. I thought that this was just a bug and would be squashed soon but this has remained a problem for over seven months now.

A request

- For Business profiles, can we be able to arrange which pictures go in which slots (in the banner at the top) and be able to focus them on the right parts instead of them being cropped oddly. I would be like to be able to organise them and make it more aesthetic please.

Overall a good app, but slowly declining in quality.

i really like pinterest - it’s aesthetically pleasing but not self-absorbed like instagram, it’s got memes i’ve never seen on twitter or reddit, it’s not as buggy or cluttered as tumblr... it really is good but i would like to suggest two improvements that would make it perfect for me :) #1 when you press the home ‘p’ button, it shouldn’t refresh! it is so annoying when you go to add a section to your board or organise so you can save a new pin... only for it to disappear forever when you go back to the home screen. even if this was a toggled feature i would greatly appreciate it if the only way to refresh would be by dragging down at the top of the feed. it would be better if the home button on the bottom banner worked like the ones on tumblr and reddit - pressing it brings you to the top of the feed or where you last scrolled to in your feed (working in opposition to each other). #2 deeper organisations on boards - i would rather have more folders and sections in one boards than hundreds of boards. of course this could be restricted to a certain amount of subfolders, but i think this would be more a quality of life improvement :)

I live in The UK where, unless you seek counselling or attend an adoptees group (which are few and far between), as an adult adoptee I felt so isolated and unable to talk to anyone, even family members. How fortunate I was on discovering Pin Adoption quotes and issues. It has made a great deal of difference to me knowing that there are those of us out there who share many of the same feelings as I do. Sometimes they just get me through the day. Americans seem to be able to be more open about these issues than here in the UK. It is such a super sensitive issue. A big thank you goes to all those who put themselves out there with their thoughts and feelings which have at least made this woman’s life just a little bit more bearable.

I love Pinterest, hours could easily go by without realising as I browsed the app, finding useful tips and beautiful pictures. It’s always been a fantastic and resourceful tool as is. When you first removed the ‘like’ button, it was a bit frustrating as it was useful but I soon got used to its absence. Then you said you will be getting rid of the explore page which is again frustrating because sometimes when you don’t know what to browse, you can select from the available categories and get inspired. But now worst of all, there are a ridiculous amount of ads that I’m not interesting in seeing and when I say ridiculous amount, I mean every 4th image is an ad. Why are you changing Pinterest?? It was a beautiful and smooth system, now I’m just getting frustrated with what’s being shown and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that way. Please make it go back to how it was originally. I’m all for change as long as it’s good and so far especially with this ad nonsense it hasn’t been. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!!

Pinterest is no longer geared towards the fun, interest-driven collector and fantasist; rather it is becoming more and more tailored to be a selling tool.

My board is full, and I mean FULL, of images of zero interest on subjects that have zero appeal. I have spent hours trying to hide them but this just seems to encourage more of the same as though Pinterest thinks it just needs to try harder to persuade me. The result? Zero inclination to log in.

For example, I am an avid lover of big, shiny diamonds, antiques and period homes. Conversely, I loathe emeralds, flat-pack furniture and minimalism. What do I get in my daily feed? The latter. Also, being a childless woman of over fifty and in a wheelchair, I have little desire to be inundated by jean-clad, bare-midriff girls (why the widely spread legs, by the way), superhero themed party games for teeny tots or by pretty walking tours. So, I spend ages hiding each and every one in order to 'train' my daily feed only for even more of the same the next time I log in. (And why oh why did they add the skull jewellery? Punishment?) Which, of course, is tres annoying and now instead of wiling away three days at a stretch fantasising myself into another world, I shut off the tablet and have to put up with the one I’m in.

So, come on Pinterest, stop trying so hard to sell to us and go back to entertaining us instead. I liked you then.

Oh dear, Pinterest. What have you done? I used to spend hours scrolling through Pinterest. It was my favourite app on my phone. Now I barely bother to look at it. My feed consists of adverts and pins that I’m no longer interested in.

I used to love that I could browse through different categories - where’s that gone? How can I find inspiration when there’s nowhere to look? I loved looking at the humour section and used to chuckle away all evening but since the adverts were introduce there was nothing worth seeing. The same with the quotations section. I always used to find something that resonated with me and then suddenly it was full of banal rubbish with hardly a decent quote in sight.

Pinterest used to help me find trends for my business too - you could see how many times an item was pinned or liked (don’t even get me started on how the ‘like’ button disappeared. Sack the person who implemented that) but even that’s gone now.

Come on Team Pinterest, get your act together. It was a great app. You need to make it great again

pinterest is an amazing opportunity to see awesome memes, pictures and jokes of ur fav tv shows, but also a great way to see cool costume and DIY (try it at home) ideas for ur every day life! u can interact with friends and followers, make specialised boards, and just browse through many great posts that people make. I would definitely recommend Pinterest to those who would be interested in that kind of thing, but even just anyone who has a favourite tv show or loves healthy food snack ideas! Nothing I can criticise on, just maybe the age rate is a little bit harsh when it comes to 13, because it’s not really like regular everyday social media. But other from that, well done Pinterest!

I’ve been using printerest for a few years and I’ve NEVER had any problems with it. Apart from recently I have a few, there is a new ‘ideas for you’ box when you search for things. Im fine with it but not when it comes up thinking I want to search for ‘dirty images’ or ‘smut 18+’ or ‘stoner problems’ I noticed a partern that it comes up with things referring to the pins you click on. I honestly don’t ever remember on clicking things like that at ALL. Even if I ran across something (what is againts the TOS) I reported it. So now I’m not the biggest fan for the ideas for you update. Another thing, I updated around 30 minuets ago and it told me to put in my age and said I’m not allowed to use it if I’m UNDER 13. I just turned 14 this month so I TRUEFULY answered with 14. Next it tells me I’m NOT allowed to use it because I’m under age. Please do something about this.

Otherwise I love Pinterest.

I love this app and have been using it nearly 8 years, I used to love pinning on my pc but it’s even better being able to pin via the app. The app is giving us some superb updates, I love being able to organise pins into sections within a board, although preferred boards in alphabetical order. Also it’s great being able to zoom in on a photo however not liking that when doing so the bottom of the photo gets covered up with similar or even identical photos of the one I’m viewing.

A couple of technical issues as well, first the app keeps freezing when viewing a zoomed in photo, then you need to close the app and start again. Secondly when scrolling through any of my boards it will reduce the size and not allow me to open any pins.

Hopefully these will get sorted in a future update.

It’s now more than a year since I fell in love with Pinterest ... however...

I’ve just been tempted to click on yet again the latest update and once more am sorry I did.

I’ve been clicking on items that were suggested for me, and am being forced more and more towards Instagram. What? You guys own it or something? I have absolutely no interest in Instagram or opening an account, and if this continues my enjoyment of Pinterest will be spoiled and I shall stop using it!

I've only been using this app for a few weeks, so having no prior experience of previous versions I have no axe to grind. However after reading the current reviews I am very reluctant to click on any button that says update! Using this app I am able to indulge my passion for needle felting, painting, textile art and quilting. It's a fabulous tool for collecting ideas, tips and information. I have no connection problems (yet!) I use BT Infinity Internet service and my Ipad2 still running ios v9 . No speed issues here .

My view about updates is that companies employ developers to work on their sites, and to keep them gainfully employed they are always doing updates...why? Because they can!
