Absolutely mind blowing! If you are interested in humanity, history, culture and our planet; if you are interested in what it means to be a human living in this world I cannot recommend this highly enough. And if that wasn't enough the film has incredible cinematography and a story line which takes you on a rich journey and will mentally and emotionally challenge you.
For the last 40 years, the photographer Sebastião Salgado has been travelling through the continents, in the footsteps of an ever-changing humanity. He has witnessed some of the major events of our recent history; international conflicts, starvation and exodus. He is now embarking on the discovery of pristine territories, of wild fauna and flora, and of grandiose landscapes as part of a huge photographic project which is a tribute to the planet's beauty.
I have always wanted to say this and I have finally found the film to say it about. Nondescript narration and lots of subtitles. I didn’t watch to the end as I found myself with an urge for some trash TV after a while. I think I would have enjoyed an exhibition of the photographer’s work more in his defence
Amazingly moving and inspirational. A glimpse into something some of us will never witness, but should all know.
A must see documentary on the life of a man whom has seen paradise and hell on our planet.
