The first two films were SO much better. The beginning of this film was so slow and it was so hard to stay awake and watch it. Too much sci-fi tech and it was too different from the previous two movies. Shame.
In this exciting penultimate
film in The Divergent Series, Tris
(Shailene Woodley) and Four
(Theo James) lead a team of rebels
in a daring escape over the city wall
into a strange new world where
they face a threat more dangerous
than they ever imagined. Together,
Tris and Four wage a furious battle
for survival, fighting not only for
their factions and loved ones, but
for the future of an entire city
in this dynamic, action-packed
Doesn't follow the book, and the acting is just really, really poor. I'm not sure I can really be bothered to watch the second part when it gets released (as a TV movie only as this one made virtually no profit and so the producers have slashed the budget for the last movie)
Quite disappointing. Similar to hunger games theme. Dragged on for a while and just didnt keep you interested
Just don’t go near this film. How can one film be so terrible. I feel sorry for the writer of the series, this could not have been her vision. If you value your money and time, just buy anything else. Batman vs superman looks like spartus compared to this movie.
Just made for the money very obvious plot it's a film to wait to watch on Netflix etc save your money
Who made this film? It is completely and utterly NOT the book!!!!!!!
Great film, But don't read the review by YTVP titled "A Brilliant Movie" (29 Mar, 2016) It gives a lot of the plot away.
OK so you know the drill: its an apocalyptic society and there's this person who's special and she's had two films to show just how special she is and we love her for being special...and she has a big strong bf who is resolute and upstanding and keeps her straight on key issues - rinse and repeat until your hair falls out.
So over the wall we go and there's some other folk there and they wear red and black uniforms - so you should kind of know that they are probably a bit suspect and just in case you do not completely twig, the head uniform has black slicked hair - dead give away - and there's an avuncular kind of guy who has just got to be a baddy because they always are. And our heroine, who has clearly not seen or read enough thinks that segregating people on the basis of "pure" and "damaged" and stealing children is kind of OK if she finally gets to wear some nice clothes and get's out of combats. And the obligatory 10 second row with big strong bf who is on to the bad guys in seconds.
So off we go with some ok special effects; some acting that is clearly struggling with a script that is so flat that it barely makes it off the page and some binary characters that make Ballamory look like War and Peace.
But do not worry, part 2 will be along soon for a final battle of such mind-numbing predictability and character motivation that the chances of staying awake are zero.
The first two were perfectly good and interesting. This is awful and it seems that even the cast have realised that it is limping to its inevitable conclusion with the finesse of a ballet dancer in a bulldozer
If you loved the books then having the thing brought to life might just about sustain your attention otherwise do not expect anything other than boring fluff.
If the first two films weren't bad enough for you then surely this should do it! Boring, Predictable drivel. Long winded dross. Even the main characters looked ashamed of this one. Makes the hunger games look like the holy grail
I've read all the books and seen the other two movies. Thought the books were great and loved the other two movies, especially the first one! However this film was such a disappointment and I struggled to stay awake throughout it, it was so boring. Perhaps if they hadn't split the last book into two movies it might have been a little more interesting because in this first film nothing happened that was remotely exciting. I was cringing in my seat watching it! And they took out all the good parts from the book just to make it even worse. See for yourself if you want but I wouldn't recommend it👎🏻
I am pretty disappointed in this. I have read the source material and I absolutely loved it, so I was actually quite excited to see this film. I did find some enjoyment in it but overall I was very underwhelmed. also, it is so gimmicky.
Absolutely amazing film, slightly different from the books but this is a good thing since it shows uniqueness. Best one of the series yet!
This is a great film like the others in the series. Buy it now!🤓
Everything about the movie is amazing! I was so excited to see it and when I did, I wasn't disappointed. The FourTris moments hit all the feels, the sarcastic humour from Peter was hilarious and the special effects impressed me more than I expected. Definitely will be seeing it again x
This was highly anticipated. Loved the previous 2 movies. But this just didn't live up to expectations. It was slow and just really dull. Very disappointing.
I watched this a couple days ago and it's now my fave one in the series. Go watch it if you haven't. I can't believe there's only one left aswell
I SAW THIS LAST WEEK AND OH MY GOODNESS LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED IT PLS GO AND WATCH THE WHOLE SERIES AND SHARE MY LOVE WITH EVERYONE YOUV KNOW TANKS LOVES XXXXXXXXXXX
I watched the first one of these films and found it good, I then went to see this film in the cinema, I nearly fell asleep it was so bad. I told my friends (who read all the books) the plot of the film only to find out they killed the wrong people and it's nothing like the book? Why make a film on the book when it doesn't even follow the book!?
Saw this yesterday and I came out of the cinema jumping about and trying to conceal my happiness. It was absolutely amazing!!! The best one in the series yet! Sure, it's nothing like the book, but if you are a fan of dystopian YA stories and you can get over how it's not very close to the source material, it's a brilliant film!
Also, don't get confused by the title. It's called allegiant but there is one more film coming out next year which is essentially 'part 2' of Veronica Roth's novel titled 'Ascendent' which I personally cannot wait for!!
Overall, a must see film! Pure entertainment!
This was a great watch, surprising moments twists and turns but the ending was a biggggg let down
We've gone from trains that don't work and battered and crumbled buildings to futuristic space crafts and fancy elevators. First two films it seems possible to reach the wall and to get over it now you can go backwards and forwards with no problem... Confusing and rushed..
Before I start off yes I have read all the books. Now when I saw this I thought wow plot twist, it was the other way round. And Nita is good and helpful. Mind blowing. I recommend it for all ages. Can't wait for next one now
Hunger Games is better. Divergent is better. Preferred this to Insurgent but it was okay I guess
