I am surprised how good this film was.
When an ambitious young lawyer takes on a case against a powerful and ruthless executive of a large pharmaceutical company, he soon finds himself at the centre of a case of blackmail and corruption. With an all-star cast including Josh Duhamel, Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Alice Eve, Malin Akerman and Julia Stiles, Misconduct is a smart, slick thriller packed with twists and dark secrets.
Very poor, I lke many others rented this movie on the back of such a strong cast, I wish I'd stuck to watching the reruns of Only Fools and Horses that I had on TV before putting this on. Throwing in implausible twist after twist to make up for the awful story line makes the film worse. not better. This is the kind of movie you saw 20 copies of for sale for a quid in the ex-rental bin at Blockbuster. Everyone invlolved in this travesty of a movie should take a long hard look at themselves, apart from the casting director, he gets a reprieve for casting Malin Akerman.
Great cast. Could have been a good story. But terrible. Disjoined story, strangely placed scenes out of sync. Donn't waste your time watching it.
This is one of the worst films I have ever watched.
I feel like if I took a pack of cards, threw them all onto the floor and put them back in the packet it would have been a better use of my time.
I cannot tell you strongly enough.
DO. NOT. WATCH. THIS. "FILM".
I wouldn't say it was a terrible film, but not much of a story line to go on. The film has tried to put a couple of twists in the plot but it really didn't quite work out. Basic storyline which is a shame considering it has two acting greats starting in the movie.
Bought this film based on a look at the trailer and cast.......that's 1hr 41min my life poorly spent watching shambolic film. Do not waste your time watching it.......massive, ridiculous jumps in the plot.
Can't go wrong with two great engaging actors. Good solid story with an unexpected twist.
Just dreadful. I have never written a review before but I feel compelled to do so because this film is so awful. The one star reviews are spot on. I just wish I had read them before I watched the film.
Wrongly assumed good actors meant it would be good film - never really went anywhere - disappointing
What on earth were these two great actors doing in this movie? Do they really need the money? With them in the cast I didn't bother reading the reviews, and now I wish I had. It has to be one of the worst films I've ever seen. The acting (other than Hopkins and Pacino) is terrible, the plot is woeful, and the Japanese direction gives it the feel of playing a really (really) bad Playstation game without a controller. Sir Anthony and Al should go public and apologise for this mess.
So this has some 5 star reviews. It took less than £100 (one hundred) at the UK box office. I wonder, I really wonder, who wrote those reviews. But as I haven't - and won't - see it, I've OK'd it.
I love Al Pacino, I think he is one of the top five actors of the last 50 years. God knows what he is doing in this dreadful film. Really poor plot, plot holes you can walk through, second rate script and some very stereotyped bad guy performances. Don't waste your money on this second rate rubbish.
A mess of a film that doesn't even try to make sense. Awful script and hammy acting. Spend your money on anything else!
We enjoyed this film, it was a great thriller.
A nice film with great A-list cast. Well worth a watch
Don't bother. Had high hopes. Good cast. Poor story...
Writing a bit of a let down, see the whole thing through and you might be of the same opinion. As always the trailer looks interesting but there's little left to intrigue once you've seen that unfortunately. It could have gone somewhere but it didn't really and the ending well was it original, unconvinced and left me wishing I had picked something else.
