This movie made me laugh, it made me cry and it made realise how fragile life is and that we must live every second of it to the full! It is a must watch!!!
Young and quirky Louisa "Lou" Clark (Emilia Clarke) moves from one job to the next to help her family make ends meet. Her cheerful attitude is put to the test when she becomes a caregiver for Will Traynor (Sam Claflin), a wealthy young banker left paralyzed from an accident two years earlier. Will's cynical outlook starts to change when Louisa shows him that life is worth living. As their bond deepens, their lives and hearts change in ways neither one could have imagined.
A wonderful movie so moving, so wonderful directed-and acted took me on a wonderful journey amazing
not essentially a sloppy love story as it loked like it would be. good story and end
It's my favourite film, such a beautiful tale. The book is incredible, so heartfelt. I love it and would recommend to anyone.
Best movie ever could watch it everyday...
An utterly crap movie - don't bother renting or buying! Ridiculous characters & storyline.
this movie hasn't lived up to my expectations after reading the book!!
mainly because of the TERRIBLE actress whom makes way to many facial expressions!
the movie leaves out vital scenes that add humor and personality!
and emilia clarkes eyebrows make me want to get my tweezers out !!
i would strongly recommend reading the book but the film isn't worth watching!!!
i hope this review helps x
Lovely movie, well acted.
The sound levels were atrocious, at times not loud enough and others, too loud. Spent a lot of time playing with the control.
The title of my review says it all. Brilliant acting brilliant story line. AMAZING.
I feel sorry for those who downrated this movie. For those of us who've watched a love one die perhaps our perspective is different. For whatever reason well worth an oscar
Both lead characters make this film a very likeable movie, nothing too complex, the sort of movie I watch on a cold Sunday afternoon curled up with a cuppa on a big sofa with the one I love - a perfect setting in my opinion. Emilia Clarke is simply adorable and easy to fall for. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to escape CGI special FX, swearing and unacceptable levels of violence that just stress me out. 🐸
Obviously not for everybody's taste but I personally was happy to paid to watch it. Sometimes you need movies like this, regardless how soppy and simple it may look. I think Emilia is a great actress and there wasn't an actor in this movie I didn't like.
In real life, Emilia and Sam would have made a perfect couple, playing the parts the did, but under any over circumstances would never have met and got to know each other like they did. That alone says a lot about the story and their performances. A beautiful, warm and moving movie perfectly acted by them both. Well done.
Great movie for a Sunday night!
Brilliant story and very good to watch! Excellent music and well constructed film
A total disservice to Jojo's book. Emilia is a great actor but unconvincing and irritating, the character in the book was strong, hurting, lost, determined not a silly sap plus a major incident in her life was left out? That was pivotal in the book... Anyway watch it and have your brain numbed.... Dross
Despite rather poor reviews, I liked it a lot.
The actors struggled to bring to life a cliched script that would fail to reach the grade required from a Mills & Boon publication. Ms. Clarke's eyebrows giving the rest of the cast a masterclass in holding the audience's attention. Go watch the film The Intouchables instead.
A real mesmerising tearjerker. Sometimes it's good to let the emotions be taken on a rollercoaster. A very powerful film and quite rare of late.
One of the best movies in a long time. Couldn't stop crying - touches your heart! A must watch. Puts life into perspective.
This movie is amazing one of the best movies Ive ever seen, the book is also amazing. The storyline is brillianty written and placed it was not rused or out of place. Its also a very sad movie couldn't stop my from crying it's a magnificent movie its worth the watch.💜💫
This film ticks so many boxes, it's funny, charming, emotive and powerful in such an unexpected way, It's so worth watching.
If you had a heart of stone the film will leave you in tears at the end, superb acting, great laughs all the way through but have a massive box of tissues ready at the end. Best film of 2016 for me.
Not my usual kind of film but adored it
I only give 2 stars. 2main reasons...1. Half the book is missing...2. Some scenes needed explaining more. Have listened to Audiobook of this many times and is brilliant. You get a feel for characters more. Rented film but won't be buying to keep I'm afraid.☹️
Don't watch this without hankies! This made me cry as much as another film does(A affair to remember)!
Sam does make a wonderful romantic lead, making a habit of this type of lead.
As for Clarke, she is like a breeze of fresh air in this role after playing in Game of thrones. Both carry this film wonderfully. But on a serious note; makes you think about your own morality and what could life be if you lost your mobility and consider the alternative.
Absolutely loved this film, a little quirky, quite sentimental, but perfectly romantic.
The location manager on this deserves a Bafta, it's as simple as that.
Not a bad film compared to the other dross currently on offer. Rent.
literally the best film ive ever watched. ive enjoyed reading me before you and watched the film, very good, i highly reccommended to all
We was sat a little wondering if to watch a movie, on goes Apple TV, looking deciding and looking again. Then came to question shall we try this one, yes says the wife.. On goes the movie. ' out of my account may I add'
This movie is very emotional but a very warm hearted film. I have given 5 stars as if you or a friend get chase I would highly recommend it. And even watch with your spouse!!
Good watching, bye bye.
I absolutely LOVE this film can not stop watching it. It's such a moving story. It touched my heart so much more than the Titanic and I know that was a true story. I cried like mad when first watched it and still do now best movie ever 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Beautiful movie, takes the viewer on a journey and kudos to all the actors! Very well played :)
Great film to watch
Stunning! A truly moving film!
This movie is a very touching and put things into perpetive and made me appricate what I have and how lucky I am to have the people around me. It is not like every other romantic movie when boy meets girl and they fall in love, this movie has structure to it and shows the true bonding between the two of them when he was going through the struggle of living with a disablility. I would highly recommed this movie and keep some tissues to hand.
Manipulative. Shallow. Poorly written. Sets all kinds of bad examples for all kinds of people. Close to shameful. I shudder. I just shudder. What have we come to? Utterly depressing.
I cried so much, making the film both funny and heartbreaking.
I truly loved the book and the movie is a surprisingly true representation. Clarke and Clafin were mesmerising as Lou and Will. I sobbed most of the way through, simply magical, pre ordered it from the cinema!
Emilia Clarke is absolutely brilliant - it's nice to see her in a role that makes you laugh, cry, and basically emotionally go through a rollercoaster. The story is touching, and opens up the debate about euthanasia, which is always a plus. Whether you agree or disagree with the practice, this movie deserves all the stars it can have. Saw it at the cinema already, can't wait to see it again when available on iTunes.
Beautiful film, vibrant, lively and highly enjoyable despite the sad theme of the film.
Well worth watching.
I had never read the book, but I'm a fan of Emilia Clarke and was immediately taken in by the trailer. I knew it would be good, but 'Me Before You' turned out to be arguably the best film of the year and Emilia Clarke is magnificent in it. The storyline is brilliantly written and paced, nothing felt rushed or out of place. I couldn't stop myself from crying, it's just that good. I have to say that the soundtrack is also magnificent - a real throwback to the early noughties when films focused a lot more on their music choices: The songs in 'Me Before You' are excellent. I cannot recommend this film enough - I've seen a lot of movies this year, but 'Me Before You' stayed with me. I might even go and see it again. Go see it in the cinema! For me, this one is an Instant pre-order!
Best movie ever ❤️❤️😘😘
Loved it from start to finish a movie that you will watch over and over again 👍 well deserving of 5 stars.
There is some compitant acting from Emilia Clarke to be found here - however, is it right to make a film that advocates eutinasia for disabled people on the grounds there their life can never be either full or complete?! I think not. Two stars for Emilia Clarke, but ZERO stars for the divisive plot.
