Description

Appropriate for their big screen debut, Edina and Patsy (Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley) are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London’s trendiest hotspots. Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!

I'm a massive Ab Fab fan but this was a really disappointing film. I wish I'd watched a trashy American comedy for free on Netflix instead.

Really saddened with this film as am a huge fan of the actors and the legendary series.
Half decent story, some great cameos, but the whole concept is out of its time.
Don't waste your money and revisit the past series.

Amusing rubbish

The trailer was the funniest bit. It left me cold and I'd been a real fan. It's had its day

Loved Ab Fab since it first aired in the 90s. This, Regrettably, is a steaming pile of poop. Now I'm sad.

Did I just dream that?

I really love Ab Fab so was looking forward to this film. It was very disappointing.

Not a patch on the TV series

In the TV series the one liners inferred the dross of the world of Abfab. This was funny. Here there are drowned in over extended gags, cliched locations, relentless product placements, continuous parade of celebs going nowhere just in case you did not get it the first time round. Boring.

Absolutely Purile

Well after 20 odd years Ab Fab finally made it to the big screen, and what a disappointment it was, a huge proportion of jokes are lifted from the TV series, so nothing new or funny there, it just seemed like they wanted to see how many celebrities they can fit into a 90 minute production.Im a huge fan of the TV series and still watch it now, but this needs to go into room 101 and the key thrown away.

Truly appalling

Myself and the wife loved the show back in the day, but they should have left it there. We didn't find this funny one little bit.

Quite possibly the worst film I have ever seen. The script is banal, the jokes are lame, the filming is laboured and disjointed. There really is absolutely nothing to recommend this film. Not even nostalgia for a show that was good in its day - in fact, there has already been a lousy nostalgic Christmas special and they should have learnt their lesson then (and so should I) - waste of money.

Absolutely Dreadfull !

I waited so long for this movie and was so disappointed. Had to watch all previous serious series afterwards to remind myself how good it used to be. Very tamed down American oriented version of the original.

Such a shame. Had been looking forward to this for ages. All th elements are there; a half decent script, the old cast, the celebrity cameos .. but sadly, it somehow doesnt come together and is just not funny.
I can only put it down to bad direction and the strange, awful background music was distracting. Rubbish.

Absolutely Fabulous maybe the wrong title for this movie. One of these stars are for Rebel Wilson and I wished she had been given a bigger part. I was a big fan of Absolutely Fabulous in its hay day but this is just a let down. I don't write many reviews but it annoyed me that I spent £10 on this movie.

My personal favourite film of the year. It made me laugh all the way through. Technically it's was quite an achievement to pull this off without caricature. Like the iconic leading ladies, and their champagne - a class act.

I'm a major an fab fan, the movie did NOT live up to what I was expecting.
Patsy not being a b**ch to saffy, like what the hell happened. I feel like it didn't go off the original series and even though it took 20 years for Jen to write the script seems rushed, and the running time was so short. I cried leaving the theatre afterwards. X

Absolutely average

A average film which had a ok story and had a few funny moments but not enough for me as a comedy based film 😕
I kept quiet after watching it at the cinema and asked my Mrs who is a Ab Fab fan but she said basically what i thought.
Watchable yet not one for purchasing.

WHAT A FILM!

What a movie right from the start their is comedy, this continues all the way through and is sustained beautifully. Jennifer and Johanna take back their roles in every right. With a cigaret in one hand and a glass of bolly in the other. What could be better, the lush scenery and the countless celebs. In every right it is Absolutely Fabulous

Ab Fab is back :)
