Description

Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role in Jason Bourne. Paul Greengrass, the director of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures’ Bourne franchise, which finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows.

Bourne to be brilliant

Watched on the weekend and loved it although probably the weakest of the Bourne films however the first three were great so that’s not a bad thing.
Great fight scenes, car chases and tension throughout. If you loved the first three Bourne films then you will love this.

You don't get much better action films than this, Jason's back on top form as usual, hope they make more of these films. As I said above " top class " 👍👍

This is an impressive well made film. Matt Damon always good. The storyline was very similar to previous Bourne films and this probably point towards the problems anyone would have keeping a franchise (Bond, Bourne etc) fresh and different. Presumably the makers of this film were building on success and they did this to a point. I vaguely remember David Lean making comments about sequels - something to do with coming out of the same rabbit hole time after time. Many many people will enjoy this film and so they should (and will). I can't help wishing for something deeper, darker, different and more sophisticated but that might just trash a film that does work, entertains and and gives audiences what they want and expect.

Have you seen the other Jason Bourne movies? Then you've seen this one already. Even the stupid music couldn't really make people simply walking through an office or an airport exciting. C'mon Apple. I'm a huge fan of your products, but £13.99! This makes you more expensive than every other outlet for a like for like product. Sort out your prices. In the meantime, i'm off to the high street.

Engaging film with good ending.

Ghastly, pathetic, wet, badly conceived story. Rehash of every corny line, copy and paste dialogue & Ideas, wooden acting. Move the story along peops! why are you so afraid of a challenging storyline? DIRE (Ps I loved the first films)

Awful filming

The story line is ok but was the cameraman a 6 year old with a Sony Handycam? Film shake, dreadful zooming in and out looking for the subject, out of focus. Very amateurish. Ruins the film.

I've watched all the Bourne films and this one fits in perfectly, typical cat n mouse plot, but action packed roller coaster ride for almost 2hrs, just rent it and enjoy.

Two stars instead of one because the Greek riot scene is pretty impressive. Otherwise - didn't need to be made and doesn't take series on at all.

very little story line. i really enjoyed the first 3 but this one was boring. i get it that its an action film but there is nothing to keep you interested through the endless chase scenes.

Certainly not the best in the Bourne series. Matt Damon seems to have lost some of the steely determination he had in the original movies. The fight sequences are not as exciting or slick (remember that fight in the German park with the two officers?). Jason Bourne is definitely older. But still worth watching.

It's a Jason Bourne film enough said. Fights, chases, conspiracies and another film in the offing. The sound on the download was a bit iffy hence the 4* and not 5.

I'm a massive Borne fan, I read all the books in the 90's, own the box set but I'm afraid this is one step to far, It's the same story dressed slightly differently. It's time for Jason to retire.

This will be the last of this series that I will pay to watch. Very predictable story line, car chases that have nothing to do with reality and just plain boring American theme. Don't bother with this one.

Two dimensional James Bond

Obviously the American attempt to create a James Bond character (no coincidence the initials are the same) but lacks the Bond charisma. Bit two dimensional and tries too hard to create a complex storyline of intrigue where in the end you just don't care what happens. First Bourne film was interesting and sort of believable but now you get fed up when he apparently overcomes highly trained agents just by banging a door in their face! And of course IT applications always work really quickly and perfectly 😉

absolute amzing fim to watch and its also an independent film, these people giving it 1star are nothing but poeple with small brains. This film has action and alot of story. My advice would be to rent it and not buy it you save nearly £10, apart from that it is gripping to watch and its a must see film!!

Really disappointed with this purchase, even the bourne film with Jeremy Renner in it, is better in terms of plot. All the plot twists are really obvious, and not very interesting. I don't know if this will be the last one, but it'll. e a shame if it is.

You can't fault Matt Damon's intensity in this film not his commitment to the role, and the casting of Alicia Vikanda (Ex Machina) was a stroke of genius. Though it seems Tommy Lee Jones seemed to reprise his role from The Fugitive. The weakness of this film is that you can only peddle the 'who am I plot?' so many times and I don't see how this film fundamentally differed from the previous outings in the franchise. I also thought the score (John Powell) lacked fresh originality and at times seemed ahead of the action. It's a decent film but I wished I'd hired it instead of buying it. This franchise needs a new direction.

Another Blaire Greengrass Project

First bourne was amazing, the following films were great but completely ruined by the hand held cameras! When will directors learn that the human eye does not work like this, it adds nothing to the film and is damn irritating to watch.....
Buy some decent cameras!

Movie started with all dark settings and slow depressing progress. Middle of the movie it picked up and some good action, then along came the most pathetic car chase in history (A SWAT van acting like a 100 tonne tank ploughing through other cars on the street). Very unrealistic and nonesensical. Ending with wimpish lady acting tough with bizarr script and rediculous taglines. Tries but fails miserably. Surveillence equipement a little too good but perhaps there is a message in there that you cant shake of the CIA (Unless your JB). Usual attempt to throw in some American Nationalisitic Jingoism and present the nefarious going ose of the American Intelligence service as being innately good - its the people the sometimes control it as the baddies. Dont buy it - wait till its on TV or falls of the back of a wagon. Apple - can I have my money back please.

Hey guys for the people who said the camerawork was awful have not a clue about how camerawork works in modern action film yes it appears shaky because the director wants a sense of realism almost to the point that your in the film.
I enjoyed it and it is well worth the additional to the previous Bourne films, the car chase was awesome and spectacular as I like it because who wants to spend cinema, Blu-ray or iTunes prices to see sequences that turn up in drama series's on terrestrial TV, that opening sequence really made me feel it especially when he keels over with the stress of adrenaline, this film is good only sad to see his ex die in the film, and his simple but effective evasion techniques, if you you like boring films with standard camerawork then don't buy, otherwise put on your wish list, over & out.....

Phenomenal waste of time. Do not waste your hard earned cash, please, this I beg of you. I suffered so you did not have to, this is the truth.
This film is absolutely awful. There is NO STORY LINE AT ALL. Anyone that tells you otherwise is a moron, so please don't listen to them.
How many years have passed between Matt Damon doing one of the wonderfully successful Bourne films? I loved them as everyone did. But this film allowed the directors to take a different slant, to shock us with a revelation that we just didn't see coming! It doesn't come. Simple as that. It's Tommy Lee Jones in that darkened room deep within the headquarters at Langley CIA building, saying "we're gonna cut the head off the snake." Whilst tech boffins stare at their screens trying to keep up with Bourne. That is it. Nothing happens at all. No revelations. Nothing you didn't know. Just another 'asset' trying to track down and then kill Bourne.
It's awful. When it ended in the cinema an overwhelming rush of disbelief and disappointment came over me. I have recovered since but justifiably so, I was annoyed because this film doesn't work with the 1st 3. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Personally, I found this one to be the best of the Bourne legacy so far. The only issue I have with it it the fact that the camera moves a lot in scenes. And no, it's not because of "laziness" it's more of a visual thing, once you notice it, it's hard to miss. But I did enjoy the movie a lot to be honest.

The Bourne trilogy has not disappointed us until now.
this movie has the worst storyline and also the camera work was so poor as soon as you watch it you will throw up, I highly do not recommend this movie. All the people giving this movie a good review are just big fans of the movie and want to stay loyal to the trilogy.

The story line is pretty much non existent , the camera work was awful leaving me feeling a little seasick , you don't identify with the characters so when I comes time to kill them off you don't care , was looking at my watch for last 30 minutes waiting for it to end in the predictable manor it did , avoid !

A fast paced, thrilling ride.

Having never seen any of the series other than the first instalment many years ago, the film stood alone and was a great fast paced thriller with amazing stunts and enough of a story that reflected current IT fears to give it a hook. The strong lead female was great. A driven woman who doesn't need a man to save her is unusual in current mainstream cinema. Well worth a watch.

Yep, Bourne is back and as just as good as before. Damon still comes across well as the eponymous amnesiac and Jones et al back him up well. Greengrass's action-cam style still makes for gripping stuff, the story is thin compared to the previous outings but it's enough to keep the film going. The technology theme sits well in what's going on the modern world in that arena, and does make you wonder...
The formula stays true to the previous films but the car chase, ostentatious and fun it may be, does seem a tad much.
All told a worthy addition to the series...
