Having read the book whilst on holiday last year, I was looking forward to seeing the film. However I found it was fairly slow. Have seen worse thrillers, but certainly not one of Tom Hank's best performances.

What was tom hanks thinking being in this film. The book was ok but the film dreadful .

It pains me to write this. I have rather enjoyed Dan Brown's photocopiable adventures in both book and film form. Can overlook the fact that other than changing the city, macguffin and seemingly unstoppable assassin they are pretty much identical, as they are fun, popcorn chomping entertainment. Sadly this is just dull. How they managed to do that is beyond me, it should be exciting. It's not. As such it forced me to think about things like the plot and whether or not it actually makes any sense. I implore you not to watch this. Watch something, anything else starring Tom Hanks if he is your draw. Watch static, just not this.

Love Tom Hanks, Dan Brown, da Vinci and Angels & Demons but this film is really poor and should be avoided. Plot jumps around too much, hard to follow and cinematography is average.

Eagerly awaited this being available on iTunes, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. It completely lacked the pace and excitement of the earlier films and wasn’t helped by a dreadful script which even Tom Hanks couldn't do much with. A lot of the acting was wooden and characterisation was weak. As has been said, why the book was messed about with so much is anyone's guess.

Not a fitting addition to The Robert Langdon saga.. turns into a film you've seen a thousand times with a similar plot and characters..

I enjoyed the DaVinci code movie. I enjoyed Angels and Demons even more. So I thought perhaps these people cared about quality. This last one (Inferno) is rubbish!!! It's pathetic. It is a weak story. Sometimes Hollywood just seems to bring in some hacks who can't write any better than your 14 year old daughter and hope that banging out a formulaic movie will somehow distract us from the dreary pap we are being fed. Totally disappointing. If Apple gave refunds I'd be asking for one.

Long story short - not up to the standard of the first two. not even close. Not even on the same planet. It's like the latest Bond movie was about Mr. Bean.

Every now and then you have to wait for a gem of a film to come along. I thought this might be it, but sadly it doesn't even come close.

A good film with great actors. Not as good as the other two but a great climax.

This was rank, waste of money

Felicity just dredful acting. The film is very predictable. The dynamics between Robert Langdon and his past love great.

What an utter waste of time and money. I was looking forward to watching this, the titles were ok, as for the rest- don't bother. Only up note in this review, "at least I didn't pay for cinema tickets to watch this".

Tedious, boring and so dis-jointed.

Had hopes for this film despite the reviews but it took three try's to watch it to the end.

Just read the book instead.

This should have been a thought provoking as well as an exciting film and we were really looking forward to seeing it having read the book. But how disappointing that Ron Howard "Hollywooded" the book ended and chickened out of the real message... What a missed opportunity!

I have enjoyed the first two of the series. But inferno is bad in every aspect , story line doesn't add up, acting is poor, no chemistry between characters, easy to figure out the ending, and the worst of all was the quality of the filming, I think anyone could have shot this movie better with their iPhone. It seems that they have spent all their money on Tom's fee so there was no budget left for the movie. Regardless, if you don't want to disappoint do not watch this. Watch the Angels & Demons twice instead

There is one great thing about this film - And that is that even these movie making stalwarts are clearly fallible. Beyond that, this is a truly dire piece of filmmaking. Ludicrous leaps of logic underpinned by some real ham acting, as Tom hanks and co hack their way through the scenes. So many good opportunities missed to turn this in to an even half decent film. And as for long the two female leads. My word... just the absolute worst I have seen in a supposedly AAA release in decades. A real pity, especially after the sublime Da Vinci code and the oh so nearly good 'Angels and Demons'. Shame on everyone who gave this 5 stars.

I have never read any of Dan Brown's books or seen the other two films based on his books but I thought I would give this a try. What I found was a boring, implausible and muddled film that lacked a decent script. I checked online afterward for differences to the book and I found that there is a major plot change, which makes the book's ending seem much better. Also, the ending of the book appears to be more in line with the main thrust of the narrative. Regarding the acting, Hanks is below par, Omar Sy is good, as are some others. However, Felicity Jones is a very poor and expressionless actress; she was poor in Rogue One and she is, once again, poor in this. She has no range or depth of expression or the ability to lend a nuance to any character. Directors: do not hire her for something that requires an injection of personality as she is devoid of one when acting! All in all, a wasted segment of time stolen from me by my silly choice in watching this film.

Loved the film like I expected. Unfortunately I felt it was lacking some of the things I love about the DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons. Mainly the puzzles, nowhere near as many 'follow this' etc but loved it none the less.

I read the book - couldn't put it down.. Loved everything about the book except for the epilogue after the climax of the story - but still thoroughly enjoyed it....

Went to the cinema to watch the film and was bitterly disappointed. Main characters missing, other characters having their roles changed to plug the plot holes... and the climax of the film?

Predictable, and dumbed down completely Hollywood style. There was nothing wrong with the plot of the book.. at least it made you think.

Loved Da Vinci Code, Angels and demons ok but this was truly awful. Great location, great actors - terrible script. A disappointing end.

Fantastic film just like The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons would highly recommend

This film has a great story and is thrilling and interesting to watch

Fast paced, educational and gripping for those that are fans of the Dan Brown novels.

Inferno offers an exhilarating story that takes you from Florence to Istanbul in a race to stop the imminent threat of a global pandemic all the while Langdon tries to peace together the broken fragments of his mind whilst doing what he does best, Tom Hanks shines as does Felicity Jones, I enjoyed this film and will certainly add this to my collection

If you've read the book don't bother with the film. Bizarre decision to fundamentally change the storyline. If you've not read the book the film is OK.
