Sure it's not the best WWII film ever but doesn't deserve its poor reviews. Lots of big screen action with a good budget, and they have decent chemistry. Worth a watch

Why does Brad Pitt paint an unrepresentative picture of wartime allies? We had sadistic American killers in inglorious Basterds, American soldiers committing war crimes as the norm in the Fury and now cocaine snorting orgies in this awful film. Pitt loves to take the worst in British/American / Canadian personal and push it as the norm rather than the exception. Shame on you Pitt. Shame. Not as bad a Fury but close.

I liked the simplicity of the storyline, every element of the film was relevant to the period and fantastic continuity.

Highly recommend watching this to anyone

I don't understand the bad reviews. I loved it! It was gripping from start to finish and Pitt was brilliant. Well worth a watch. Ok, I admit it, I had tears in my eyes at the end!!

Marion Cotillard is fantastic in this and a jewel to watch. However the script,although good on plot, smelt a tad sentimental and is predictable viewing. This is a problem with US big films: The omission of reality, history and period; underestimation of the audience And an old formula story set in European wartime.Films like The Triple Cross, The Good German, The Reader and Where Eagles Dare depicted dilemma better. Watch but only for Marion Cotillard's performance.

Very poor, disjointed movie, especially given Cotillard/Pitt combo. Clunky!

Not the worst film I've ever seen, but it comes close.

This film is beatifully filmed with some David Lean touches. I was so hopeful that this would be a great film and could have been. There is a good enough plot but the script seems to fall down and be dumbed down. You think that if this was a TV mini series made by the team that brought the Night Manager you would have had a wonderful offering. I'm afraid one huge let down is Brad Pitt, he is in great shape and some of the suits he wears are stunning, but he shows he has the acting talant of Micheal Caine. I hope a copany in years to come will take this plot and produce the story that should have been told.

This has a great story but it's one of those films that fails to engage. The cgi is terrible and the depth of the story is half baked. Good movie but could have been better.

We live in age of technology, I can't put my phone down and I've not watched a movie for years without checking emails, responding, tweeting and doing everything an addict does with their phone. This film was so incredibly engrossing I found myself putting my phone down from start to finish. The plot is superb, the acting is great, Brad is just Brad. Can't recall the last film that brought a lump to my throats like this. Great soundtrack too and stunning visuals. One of the best films I've watched in years. Don't listen to the critics. They were probably playing with their phones when they watched it :-)

Not sure about the historical accuracy but a good story. Nice mix of excitement and romance. A chick flick with something for the guy! Enjoyed it throughout.

I'm sorry to give a pop review to a movie with Marion Cotillard, however;

This movie is so predictably written for the simply minded, so forgive me it had to be made in Hollywood. Personally, for me, it really spoils anything when I have to get annoyed at the characters acting as the romance scenario prescribes and leaving out the whole exceptional IQ and bravery spies of the U.K. And their allies have shown. Also, this is definitely a romance set in WWII environment.

Ok movie, but agree with aforementioned, its not worth the price. This is a digital copy, not a blu-ray.like I said , average movie, nothing special.

An incredible movie with an incredible soundtrack! Beautiful and intense.
