Description

Terrible.... beyond bad
Remake of Dirty Dancing ....Don't know whose bright idea this was, but it didn't work...!!
The whole film from start to end is just awful, I didn't have much faith at all that it would match the original, but wasn't expecting it to be as terrible as it actually was.
When you press send you have to rate the film, I'm only giving it one star because I can't choose less...!!

Truly AWFUL.
You cannot recreate a classic like dirty dancing so I wasn't expecting much... but it was worse than I ever expected. The cast was terrible. It was a shambles and embarrassing to watch. I have seen high schools do a better job of dirty dancing than these people did. Ruined a classic. Stick to the original

A poor copy of the original
This just happened to be on TV! Thank goodness I did not pay to view it!
There was no chemistry between the main characters. The actress who played Baby looked like she was about 14 and most certainly could NOT dance and the Director knew it! That is most probably why the dance scenes were cut to the bare minimum. When 'Baby' was trying to be sexy (Lover Boy) it was really awkward and uncomfortable because she looked like a child!
Sounds mean to say but she must've been cast by someone in her family!!!!!
I so wanted to enjoy this film but it seems there is nothing like the real thing! It's a no from me!

Very bad casting, don't waste your money. Watch the original instead you will be glad you did, one of the best 80's films made.

Nothing compared to the original
Watched this yesterday on television. It wasn't good!
I mean you can't replace Patrick Swayze in the original. The actor who played Johnny in this one was nothing in comparison. Abigail Breslin is a great actress but she was not suitable for this role and looked awkward at times. It just was highly disappointing. As with a lot of these remakes, it is never as good as the original!
