A movie that could have been better. I couldn’t care for the characters and so lost interest in the story - what was the story all about? Being buried alive in money you can’t launder? Pointless.

Interesting plot and good performances made it very entertaining to watch.

This was a very good watch. Nice to see Tom Cruise do something a bit different from his usual stuff.

If you REALLY like to fantasize about the young Tom Cruise and his stellar ascent of the Hollywood pantheon as Top Gun, you just MIGHT like this flick- at least, that's what T.C. and his agent obviously were thinking when taking on this script. Plot will have you stifling a yawn now and then. Most irritating, but unsurprising, is that the main character- who'se obviously been a crook from early on (see the Wikipedia entry on Barry Seal) had to be buffed up to some type of adventure-seeking misguided action man- in other words: worthy of T.C.

Opportunities to really probe and look into a bit of background of Iran/Contra or present-day parallels- all missed. Ach well, enjoy if you must

To be fair, this film is an incredibly compelling one, with really gripping moments, and Tom Cruise gives an above average performance as the main character. I can’t really put my finger on what seems to be wrong though. It’s defiantly one to watch!

Brilliant movie. Enjoyed every minute of it. In reality, though, a little over dramatised and exaggerated. As annoying as TC is, he played the role perfectly 👍🏻

Not a bad film but not a knock-your-socks-off one either. It's well paced with just enough quirkiness to make it light-hearted and entertaining. Personally I haven't seen all of the Netflix (and/or) other productions that cover this sort of storyline about cartels, Escobar, narcos, contras etc. so found it quite eyeopening if indeed the events portrayed are true to life. A solid Tom Cruise performance makes this worth a rental .... Not Enough POW to make me want to buy this one and watch repeatedly though.

its a good film seems that there maybe bits missing from the story... its a good film but didnt seem very well structured. good watch though.

Brilliant film all round, very funny in places and Tom plays the part well.

Firstly, I am so glad I purchased this movie, instead of waiting to rent it, as it's the most enjoyable £12 I've ever spent. To think the likes of Cruise, Liman et al worked so hard for so long to entertain us this much is amazing.

Filmed in a Netflix style of Narcos, set in the 80's this amazing, crazy, unbelievable story is played out by Tom Cruise in what I think is the best I've ever seen of him. He makes it look effortless, and honestly looks the best I've ever seen him look.

I’m not sure Doug has ever made a bad movie and this is brilliant. Loosely based on a real life story, Tom Cruise is brilliant. If you enjoyed series like Narcos on Netflix you’ll appreciate this strand of the same world.

Great film, great story, loved it!!!

This movie is fantastic. It really gets the blood pumping in some scenes. So well directed; the 80’s style camera filters really bring the film to life. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This American Made is NOT 4K its NOT even HD, Very very poor picture better buying the 4K disc and getting the digital download, Logan,Mad max fury road OK very good viewing but America Made NOT good viewing, waste of money! Iam disappointed ITUNES.

Crazy story, well worth a watch if you like a bit of drama & action and a few comedy moments.

This is an amazing and overlooked movie. A true story that connects America’s involved indirectly with Pablo Escobar and the Iran Contra scandal. The direction is light and fun and Cruise plays the Midwest pilot Seal well.

after watchimng this through i thought to myself, why has a movie been made abut this - its boring.

tom is fine in the role but the story is rubbish.

The trailer made it look like a normal drug and gangster film, but after watching it u learn more about the drug trade and how a man got caught up in so much trouble. This film was a great joy to watch and has a great tom cruise performance

I gotta say that Tom Cruise does play a good role in the story of Barry Seal. I can't wait 4 the next MI film next summer!!!! Well done, Cruise!!! Ü deserve it!!!
