One of the most funniest mcu movies

Loved every minute after being disappointed by The Dark World. Has just the right mix of humour, action and a good story. Highly recommend!

A very funny, tongue-in-cheek script; a truly sexy femme fatale; pretty good directing and photography; great acting from absolutely everyone. What's there not to like?

This film is shown through Thor’s perspective: witty and light hearted, instead of the less humorous and more serious theme used in other Marvel movies (apart from the Deadpool films). It is a slight break from the intense but still funny Marvel style and has got to be one of the best most funny films of the year. It’s great for families and adults. Just an all round great film. One of the spectacular highlights of 2017! Out of all the Thor movies, this by far has to be the best one. Amazing directing, actors and the score is just mind blowing. Definitely recommend watching.

I thought this was a fun movie to at h but it was a bit too silly. There would be moments where there was too much comedy when the point of the movie is to save Asgard. There are also parts where it would be funny but it would go to Hela but you would not care about Asgard. They made Cate Blanchett in everything

No 4K in iTunes very poor on apple. Will not be buying the movie from here

4K (like all of the Disney/MCU films on iTunes). Would give it 5 stars otherwise.

I had all but given up on Avengers movies after the dire Avengers: Civil War, but I'd heard this was good. The toungue-in-cheek approach of this movie was both surprising and welcome, with some really nice touches throughout. I'm still not interested in future Avengers outings, but this one will join my collection. A really fun film.

Expected a all action movie, not a comedy, why do they do this to perfectly good franchise, in my opinion should have been a lot better, the only good thing about it was Kate winslet, she's like a fine wine, improves with age, wow what a beautiful fit lady.

A massive disappointment. No originality; same predictable dull story line that relies on the special effects.

Watiti’s Thor: Ragnarok isn’t the subverted masterpiece that Mangold’s Logan is, nor is as dark and forthcoming as Nolan’s The Dark Night, but what it does is completely except the ridiculousness and over the top nature the source material is and embraces it. In a world where money matters, Marvel put in high stakes and the gamble luckily payed off, for a number of reasons. Firstly; the market is saturated. No what excuse and defence you can argue with, the market is completely flooded with dark and gloomy comic book movies, this is why the subversion is in full swing. And ultimately this is why Watiti’s film prospers. The humour and character indulgence is fabulous. So rich in lore, and while respectiving the material, it knows when to bend the rule of thumb that is Marvel.

The best yet. The best Thor film yet. The best Marvel film yet. The best action film yet? Quite possibly. If your sides don't split whilst watching Thor Ragnarok, and if you don't rewind the film to rewatch the most epic scenes... are you really watching this film? The answer is probably not, as this film is so undeniably funny that it all its viewers are likely to want to watch it again.

The Avengers and spinoffs are hugely entertaining, however this one seems to have gone for the completely ridiculous and silly plot line. Shame this couldn’t have been better thought through and be less of a CGI and comedy caper. And yet again we are subjected to the Lady Galadriel’s terrible over the top hammy acting (at times you could close your eyes and imagine being in Mordor with some hobbits).

Try harder next time

If you enjoyed the first two Thor movies, as I did, walk away now, because the character dies a death of a thousand bad jokes. Cate Blanchet makes a good villian, but Jeff Goldblum is Jeff Goldblum again. The real villain of the piece is the scriptwriter, who should be banned for life from ever using a keyboard again. It makes everbody sound miscast. It's so bad I'm actually angry, as there is no way I could watch Thor 4 after this mess unless Marvel get back on track.

I really wanted to like this movie but increasingly the franchise appears to be leaning toward cheap gags and slapstick rather than concentrating on providing a credible and awesome alternate fantasy view of the universe and universal conflicts. As CGI improves so the script appears to whither and die. CGI is great guys but please why does this mean we also have to endure lousy scripts and poorly cast characters - Valkerie just a poor, poor casting decision.

Three stars says it all really... it's ok. And it is. But I found there are too many things that just rankle when watching this, and it detracts heavily from the storytelling and emotion. The shoddy humour is the biggest of these, it overwhelms. But I also dislike the music, which jars against the sequences, and lastly the multitude of plot contrivances. It's very much a 'remove brain before watching' type of film, and ended up being mildly annoying, rather than enjoyable.

Very rarely are my expectations of a film so out of sync. Let me start by saying this is a lot different to all the other Marvel movies simply because this a self indulgent, self reflective, fatuious Carry On Space movie - except the jokes ARE NOT funny in the slightest. Some great actors in this film that should be ashamed to put their names to it. I approach Marvel now with caution if this is where the franchise is going.

I was in a pretty low mood and this cheered me up. Thouroughly enjoyable and well worth the £3.50 I spent on it.

The best of the trilogy

Great film but like this and all the other Disney owned property’s these will never be 4K on iTunes due to their own on demand service that’s due. Look at guardians 2 for example, you should forget about last Jedi 4K as well, only available on uhd on vudu which is ok but not as good iTunes 4K imo

Good stuff. I personally like the level of humour in the latest marvel movies and think there’s a good balance. Thor is not my fave marvel character so I do struggle with his stand alones, mythic stuff ain’t really my bag, but was entertaining and the jokes were good. Loved Korg.

It’s a really good film about a guy who learns to take a more holistic view of problems abstracted as nails once he loses his hammer.

Love this and it’s definitely the best Thor film yet . Great fun .

Funny and action packed ! But not great

An insult to Norse mythology & all those generations who kept the story told . Is it the extremes of modern political oppressive ideology? or just seriously bad production, script writing, direction etc,etc................ ah lets have a bit thats starwars-ey or is it trekk-ey?...............can we save a few quid on the leading roles hair pieces?.......& maybe with his neat costumes? ........ .............................. ........................... Yeah I know we have one of the darkest , most mythological & mysterious cultures as the foundation of the lead characters but I Think it should be more of a colourful theme.
