Terrible film

This film simply put is garbage. They took what we now know thanks to Zack Snyder’s Justice League to be a truly excellent film and just turn it to a horrendous mess. It is difficult to imagine anyone watching the two side by side and make the executive decision to release this rubbish. This film is the perfect example of why studio executives need to stay out of a creatives vision. Ultimately this film needs to get in the bin and Warner Bros and AT&T need to #restorethesnyderverse

Warner Bros apparently still consider this verison canon, even though its terrible, if you want to watch this film do yourself a favour and just go and watch Zach Snyders Justice league, itll save you from the childish comedy and characters, orange colour pallete, rushed and stupid plot, generic boring villain, CGI moustaches...etc etc. this most certainly isnt the original vison for the film and shouldnt be considered as the 'canon' version. I mean steppenwolf actually survives in this one and just gets carried away by parademons for being scared of superman....what a joke of an ending.

Absolutely terrible, watch Zack Snyder's Justice League instead.

as much as I thought this movie was just...ok and a lot of wasted potential, the Snyder cut is the opposite.

Actual character depth, actual reasons and explanations for what the hell is going on.

I mean that is how an origin story (for a group) needs to be made.

The only reason for writing this review...Snyder cut needs to be canon and the trilogy needs completing!!

This was not the best movie in series. Special ecfect are bad. Story wasnt great but ok to watch.

Now that snyder cut has been released i look forward to itunes making it abailable one day and happy to wait for it unlike the folk demanding it be put up to buy before he even finished it.

As a Massive DC fan, I really wanted to like this film. I enjoy most of the MCU but would much rather watch Man of steel or BvS UE. This film was supposed to be a continuation of MOS and BvS but has little to no relevance to these films as WB had cold feet after “critics” thought that Batman v Superman was “too dark”. Like a lot of DC fans, Batman is my favourite DC hero. Instead of continuing the story arch of a Batman trying to redeem himself after BvS, he is made to be (ironically) a joker and has a tone of one liners. That is just not Batman. There are some many reasons why I don’t like this film. But I’m glad that the Snyder Cut is coming in 18 Days, the film this was intended to be.

Considering that much of the story was changed during post-production, JL is an enjoyable and easy to watch fantasy movie. The production design and costumes look spot on and the chemistry between the actors is perfect. If WB let Zack Snyder finish his cut, as rumours suggest, I’d definitely buy this again.

See title! Enough said.

I really enjoyed watching this film and have watched it many times since. Don’t be put off by the trolls...

Sorry to spoil it. But you wait the whole film for supes to turn up and make the rest of the league redundant and show that they aren’t really needed.. wait for it to be on tv. And then watch something else

For starters the film is in the wrong aspect ratio so subtitles are off the screen.

The story is muddled and falls foul of too many characters but no one taking the lead.

Special effects are average and soft. And swapping Hans Zimmer music for Danny Elfman was a mistake.

Poor in comparison to Batman vs Superman and Man of Steel, let alone the Dark Knight series which is far superior.

I was put off from watching Justice League because the reviews and people said it was awful but I absolutely loved it! I mean it isn’t the best movie in the world but I really enjoyed it! To mean the best superhero movie is still The Dark Knight!

As a fan of DC comics, it’s sad to see them destroy their own characters in awful movies like these. The only characters we know are superman, Wonder Woman and kind of Batman. Everyone else is introduced in this film and has no character development. The story is thin and the CGI is terrible. End the DCEU and reboot it!

Managed to catch this movie a week ago and as the title said it’s just not good.. There are some decent DC movies including Man of Steal and Wonder Women (apart from the ending) but I just would not recommend this movie to anyone. It’s a mess

It’s not as bad as some reviews say it is but it’s not as good as Avengers.

The story is weak, the development of the characters is rushed compared to that of the MCU, and ultimately the suspense is gone when you know who turns up.

It’s very much an average movie. Glad I rented instead of paying over £8 for it. It’s that level of film. At £8 you’d be quite happy but not £13.

I didn’t know what to expect- but really enjoyed this movie! Just seemed a little short!

I have no axe to grind and enjoy all sorts of film genre but what a truly awful film. The script is laughable, the plot makes no sense with no sense of peril or clear aim at any point. I very rarely leave reviews but this is so poor I couldn’t not warn others. It took me 6 attempts to get to the end in the hope that it improved!! Sooooo bad.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Dark Knight series but Zac and the team have never managed to pull of anything that seems to work.

They finally nailed a good one. was not to keen on the man of steel and batman vs superman movies so wasn’t looking forward to watching this one but I must admit enjoyed this one a lot. Been putting of watching suicide squad but may give it ago now.

The DC universe is on the whole more existential than Disney (because thats what Marvel and Star Wars now are), but trying to be dark like the comics - sorry DC you havent nailed it yet.

The back stories are tiresome and bad guys are simply not scary - this smells of a rush job.

I cannot stand the thought or sight of Ben Affleck as Batman. He has completely put me off Batman and the League franchise. Christian Bale was the best Batman ever and they should have stuck with him.

But that's only my opinion.

I found it really quite boring. I would never suggest not watching a film just because I didn't like it...... but seriously difficult not to say that with this film. This really is quite a poor film. Glad some poeple somehow managed to enjoy it though.

People moan about DC being compared to Marvel, but when the latter get it so right you have to wonder why DC cannot do the same. This is not a good movie. Thin characters, thin plot, some awful CGI, and no cohesion. Henry Cavill is the most wooden Superman ever. The threat is not that threatening and in the end, you are just glad it’s over. What a waste of potentially great characters.

It’s an ok watch, little or no emotion to it, and Superman is particular cheapened. Film is full of CGI and essentially a quick bang.

Probably won’t want watch again.

If there was better story-telling this would have been great but I felt I was just watching a 2 hour Batfleck angst-fest, with a few fight scenes thrown in. Still no clue what the point of the family in Russia was, or in fact how the CGI team could get it so wrong when digitally shaving Hot Cavill’s ‘tasche. We get a two minute explanation of Steppenwolf (sp?) who is the whole point of the film (!!!) and some slight background info on the new characters but that’s it. Could have definitely benefitted with being fleshed out.

In fairness, the actors did the best they could with what they were given. Just a shame what they were given was so weak. It is, however, better than the first two films.

Much better than the avengers

Better than anticipated. I agree that the moustache is a CGI problem but I’m also not a spoilt brat and can put up with the rest of the movie’s CGI. People just demand too much now.

It’s better than BvS.

Unfortunately some movies are made purely on the back of previous films to make money, this will be loved by under 10's.

Wanted to like it but the story was poor, CGI was average at best and the random introduction of new characters didn't work.

It’s a good film, easy watching, good humour and more heart than the last avengers movie.

Not focused on superman and a good mix of stories linked together.

Wonder Woman felt like DC were starting to learn from past mistakes.

Nothing about this film made me smile apart from the fact that it eventually ended.

With Whedon as the director who re-edited and filmed JOL, taking over from Snyder, whose daughter had died. Unfortunately Whedon did not do justice, completely destroying the Superman character and Cyborg. Trying to turn DC characters into Marvel jokey characters was a massive mistake. Bring back Synder.

I enjoyed parts of the movie, but on the whole it was clumsy and poorly executed. Ben Affleck phoned in his performance, the script was not great, and the characterisation of Barry Allen/The Flash was appalling. Wonder Woman deserved a much stronger role - her stand alone movie was exceptional.

I’m a fan of Jason Momoa, but he had little to work with here.

Watch the recent ‘Flash’ TV show, or the Wonder Woman movie, or the Christian Bale Batman if you want to see DC done well, this is not that.

I was very excited to watch this. Massive disappointment, storyline is really silly and VERY predictable. Acting isn't the best (think the avengers got the better actors!), made the flash seem like a 12 year old...I could go on. Tbf good special effects.

I wouldn't bother if you are a massive DC/Marvel fan watch it but I'd wait save and just rent it....(top tip)

When super man shows up and fight with that monster. Oh my god. What??!!! I am watching a video game!!! Come on!!! DC, you can not use this level of tech to compete with Marvel!!! I want you to show the real power of you!!!! Don't buy this one. It just let you hate DC.

I loved MoS, and WW/ BvS were pretty good also. I really wanted to like this, but I’m struggling to give it more than a 2x.

Time is the biggest enemy the DCEU is facing, and its losing the battle with dire consequences. Its remarkable and idiotic Warner Brothers, with only three entries into the franchise and only managing to create two origin stories for characters into feature length films, and only four scenes for the rest, has seemingly deemed the DCEU ready to pull everything together, and ultimately the end result while entertaining is a rushed and reduced mess. The first two acts of Justice League are muddled and lacking. Lacking in mostly every department. The characters just drop in without any real explanation or depth. Mamoa, Miller and Fischer are just thrown into this, Miller slightly less due to having a little backstory in previous films, but nonetheless you find nor know anything of the incarnation. The CGI villain is terrible. It’s Suicide Squad bad, and that genuinely pains me to write, you would’ve thought Warner Brothers would’ve rectified mistakes made, but instead they’ve only gone and sped the transition of the franchise into oblivion. We have NO depth. I don’t care who the villain is. I don’t care what’s happening. I feel zero connection to the characters or the plot, therefore I do not root for said characters. I came out of this enjoying Mamoa the most, zero depth of course, but ultimately the actor plays his character as just going with it and that’s how I felt throughout. Along for the ride, going through the motions, getting from A-B. Justice League isn’t “bad” and that shouldn’t be a compliment because after waiting ten years for this, it should’ve been fantastic.

I’m really enjoying this DC film series.

I don’t believe this is as good as Man of Steel or Batman Vs Superman. It is however a satisfying and fulfilling sequel.

I didn’t care much for the antagonist, but it has been a great introduction to the other justice league members and I can’t wait to see where DC go with them now the stage is set for further adventures. It does have a really good and insightful iTunes extras package too!

Terrible CGI, Terrible villain due to the terrible CGI, confusing story. The only saving grace for this film is Wonder Woman and the laughs that the Flash got out of me.

Great movie but Apple have messed up the aspect ratio. It should be 1.85:1 with thin black bars at the top and bottom. But it’s displayed as 1.78:1 without bars and is zoomed in. Please fix this Apple ! It’s not as the director intended and looks plain wrong too !

I know this is 3 stars which may seem fine but this should be an easy 5 stars and it really bugs me that it’s not close. it’s fine. it should be earth shattering

I actually got angry watching this movie. I’ve played video games with better CGI. The entire movie was shot via green screen and it’s totally obvious - I’d be surprised if any authentic environment was used at all. There wasn't a single frame where Cavill looked like Cavill. The plot was completely pointless, boring, and void of any meaning. The antagonist/villain was awful and created solely via CGI (terrible quality). After waiting months to watch this movie I’m SO disappointed!!! Oh, and “2nd most expensive movie ever made” how embarrassing! I genuinely feel sorry for the entire cast involved.

This movie is outstanding. Looking forward to future DC titles.

I didn't mind the film when I first watched it. I had fun with it. However when going to purchase it on iTunes for a second viewing, as the digital release was announced as February 13th, you can imagine my dissapointment when seeing that this was the U.S. release and the U.K. iTunes is marked as nearly a whole month later, which is frankly ridiculous on a digital product. This is not the only occurance of this, but in a vastly digital age, and the industry's fight to combat piracy, I do not see much point in staggering digital releases.

I loved this film. It made great use of its characters and its plot was actually not that bad. I personally like the changes made with Superman the most. He has really changed for the better and he’s much more fun to watch than in MoS and BvS. Batman wasn’t as cool as he was in BvS but he was good nonetheless. Wonder Woman, as perfect as ever, maybe even a little better. Flash was hilarious and no one can deny it. He’s probably my favourite character of the film. Aquaman has changed from the 60s joke to a cool suffer-dude character and I love that. Cyborg was a charcter I was quite worried about but he turned out to be a really clever character. Steppenwolf wasn’t the best villain, but he had some decent lines at least.

The plot was easy to understand and I thouroughly enjoyed it. The lighter tone is noticable, if not obvious. However, I do wish thay had a lot of darker elements in the story. And I loved the action sequences.

Still, it’s not perfect. I hate the Danny Elfman music. It’s rubbish compared to Hans Zimmer’s and Junkie XL’s music. And I wish they had included the Superman Black suit instead of the regular suit. I think it would make more sense. Plus, there is a bit of a continuity error with Superman’s resurrection. We saw dirt rising above the coffin at the end of BvS, indicating that he’s healing. But in JL, it’s completely trashed for the Mother Box ressurection.

But overall, I did love this film. It’s not perfect but Zach Snyder did say it’s for the fans and not the critics. I think that have been why it was wasn’t rated as highly as it should have been.

Biggest pile of garbage

This is by far one of the worst films I have ever seen in my life. It was beter then some, however if you want a film with lots of action and/or suspense you don't want this film. If you are a slow motion junky then you won't be disappointed.

Awful. Superman in CGI terrible. Worst film I have ever seen. High hopes for Man of Steel 2 to redeem Marvel.

Justice League is a brilliant movie, I would have loved to see what Zacks version of the movie or story looked like.

Must admit this film was way better than BVS,Suicide Squad and Man of Steel. Still think Wonder Woman is the Bbest DCIE film so far. This film was ok at times, BT I Was kinda bored at times.

DC are actively destroying their own characters that everyone knows and loves by making so many of these really awful films. They are not even close to the comics and with the exception of the Wonder Woman film, the stories (what little there are) are just outright rubbish. Christopher Nolan did a fantastic job with Batman but these recent re-inventions and developments make the Superman films of the 80’s and the Batman TV series of the 60’s look more like serious storytelling. Utter utter rubbish.

I’ve just watched it at the cinema, and came straight home and pre-ordered it. Amazing to look at. Great action scenes. As a life time fan of batman and JL, I can honestly say ignore the critics this was every comic I ever loved jumped straight onto the big screen. The trailer DID NOT sell this movie at all. But in a way it also didn’t spoil it. I agree Henry’s top lip is weird and you can’t stop looking at it. But all in all I loved him in this movie.

A must watch for true fans. These films aren’t for the masses they are for comic book fans. It’s about time.

I’m not really sure what to say. I certainly liked the film but a lot needed improvement. There could have been a bit more description and some better acting. I would also like music played during fights like in Thor or guardians of the galaxy. But not to bad.

This film is sadly a botched mess.

You can perceive the chop-edit between the Synder and Whedon directed footage.

The plot is paper thin and a number of plot holes exist. The characters undergo no development and film’s main villain is woefully vapid.

The CGI is some of the worse I have seen in a modern movie.

Henry Cavill’s face looks very creepy in the scenes where Warner Bros. Have used CGI to remove his moustache.

I’m amazed that a huge studio like Warner Bros. Would release a film in this condition.

At this point I think it might be best if the DC movie universe is rebooted.

This is a fantastic movie despite what the “critics” would have you believe. The people at DC have really stepped up with this movie. All heroes are the most comic accurate that I’ve seen on the big screen and the film has a good story and looks great. 5/5

If you are a real comic book enthusiast you will not need to rely on film critics who are not real comic book enthusiast. Unless it is simple enough stuff like marvel comic book film. Don’t get me wrong l like them too. But DC and my favourite superhero’s in JL made a real fan - really enjoy this film. Can’t wait for JL 2

Down to a scientifically accurate depiction of The Flash's powers, one hell of a rollercoaster; Marvel, the ball's been knocked to your part of the court!!!!

Whilst the critics seem hellbent on destroying the DC universe, due to their love for the camp superhero comedies that Marvel seem to spit out, as a DC Comic obsessive it was great to see my heroes back on the big screen again. It had every detail I wanted it too (apart from the colour of a certain hero’s suit) and like BvS I consider it a cinematic classic. A second outing to the cinema is a must so I can catch everything I missed the first time!

As a lifelong fan of both Marvel & DC, I can honestly say I look forward to both sets of movies with respective different interpretations that preside each iteration. Well.... DC finally got their chance to put their big hitters on screen together, to get the most famous of all superheroes together for a good old fashioned, comic book adventure.... & that is EXACTLY what this is! A good, old fashioned superhero get together.

There’s a very clear reason why there seems to a disproportionately huge amount of positive reviews out there for this film that are not being covered, very curiously.... it’s because, apart from the sometimes shaky CGI ( hello Hulk in Age Of Ultron & Spider-Man Homecoming throughout ) this film is basically an episode of Superfriends the cartoon. Yes, that’s right, DC has gone back to the kid friendly approach for Justice League.... & it works all the better for it. If you are a fan of the old fashioned simple comic books of yesteryear, you’ll love this! If however, you consider yourself part of the “urbanely hip, quick to the meta jokes with the social media collective” mentality in cinemas that all proclaim their love for the cool, trendy in thing of the moment... hello Deadpool with your one note jokes... then I guess this will be just too saccharine for you.

For the rest of us old fashioned, corn of the crop superhero fans of yesteryear.... JUSTICE LEAGUE is a blast from start to finish. Go & watch & just enjoy the ride. The social media collective hanging on to their ever reliable pointless & meaningless aggregator score from a site purely created for clickbait will always come down hard on movies this straight forward( while proclaiming & sticking with their staunch view said site is just a great way to find out what movies I shouldn’t waste my money on.... ok, welcome to the social media collective mentality people ).

Screw the haters.... I’ll own this film on here in just a few months... & your constant raining on the parade will be of no avail.

A great, fun movie that I will watch again & again.... & surely.... that is all you can want from any film in this genre.⭐️
