An extremely harsh and controlling mother sacrifices everything including the future of her children in order to obtain money, whereas she rents her apartment during summer and forces her children to move into a modest apartment. Years later the mother tries to force her son Essam into marrying one of their rich acquaintances, but he refuses and falls in love with his married neighbor Soheir who suffers from her husband’s bad treatment. Soheir asks for divorce in order to marry Essam, meanwhile Essam’s uncle discloses their relationship to the husband who then kills Essam causing Soheir to break down with grief and the mother to finally regret her actions.
