Phenomenal - MUST SEE
This is one of the best films ive watched in a very long time. The plot turns and twists and just when you think youve worked it out, youre pulled off your feet. Great story, great sci fi and you wont be disappointed!.

Very good movie but too short
A very good movie, good acting from the main actor and great camera work. The story is good but is too quick. When you are watching the film it seems as everything is going fine with the main character but the outside world is confusing and is going to fast, the movie is also way too short and should be at least 2hours long.

Dark Futuristic

Proper Science Fiction
In a way the story of Upgrade is very retro sci-fi and that makes a refreshing change to what passes for the genre nowadays. A great story, excellent direction and a strong central performance. I loved Upgrade. It was a really good film with a clever ending. Recommended.

Potentially superb.
Firstly, this film is one hour too short, it would benefit immensely by fleshing out the characters and deepening the storyline.
Secondly, the acting is quite laughable, bring in some talented actors to breathe new life into the plot.
Finally, the idea is very appealing, and the action sequences and camerawork are brisk and almost faultless.
I enjoyed it a lot, and apart from the above I found it very watchable despite its faults. Recommended.

Simply awesome
Simple, yet brilliant. Requires more than one watch to pick up the nuances. This is one of those sci fi gems than pop up every now and then that turns a routine Friday night into something a little more special. Can’t recommend it enough.

Hidden gem of 2018
Genuinely a really good movie and certainly a hidden gem of 2018 - it's a shame this didn't seem to get a UK release in cinema's as far as I am aware. The plot follows certain 'movie rules' so if you know your movies well, there is a certain plot twist at the end that you will see coming but other than that a solid movie made incredibly well especially when you take in to consideration how low the budget was.

Has its moments
Good opening. This is a pretty slick and well made film, with an interesting story line. However, what starts as a revenge type story, occasionally slips into a cheesy “Terminator” esque action sequences, which are often more comical than thrilling.
It wasn’t a bad watch, but this could have been a better movie.
