I believe this film is for gamers only do not watch if you no gamer hehe FORTNITE 4 LYFE!!!!

I thought it was a very enjoyable, excellent action movie. I had low expectations due to the bad reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised. I particularly liked the dark humour with a few laugh out loud moments.

People need to get their heads out of there behinds this is a great fun action film. No marvel film is real life so why should the film be. If you like films where things are stupid (in a good way) watch it. If not watch something else. Or read a book.

Seems I am in a minority but thought it was great, went in with no expectations and thoroughly enjoyed it especially the dark humour. Tom Hardy portrayed the character well.

Great performance from Tom Hardy in a super (not to be taken too seriously) action movie. Special FX are something else.

I rented this movie just to see if it was good or not and I was blown away with this movie, I could watch it over and over again, probs one of my top 5 movies now for sure

How this film got the green light I do not know.

Really, cant figure out how anyone over 12 yrs old could rate this film any higher that 2 stars. And I'm probably being insulting to most 12 year olds. I love marvel but this is such a poor film. Feel sorry for Hardy as hes so much better than this.

No better film

Do not buy this film which is a waste of money with a terrible story line, terrible acting and too much CGI!!!

It’s ok, not much to add except I think they could have done far, far better. It’s all a bit rushed towards the end but then there’s an additional scene to draw you into watching the inevitable sequel (doubtful) plus a plug for the Spider-Man cartoon, should have concentrated on making a better venom film instead of spending 30 mins plugging other things.

Surprisingly not as terrible as I expected. A few fun action sequences. Dialog hammy and terrible, and unrescuable by the otherwise very good actors. Nonetheless I enjoyed it and if you can switch off caring about what it's doing to the comic plotlines, and general plot flaws, then it's a fun casual watch.

Well... Im not going to waste too much time writing this as ive lost enough time watching thid embarassing excuse of a film.

Tom Hardy's stock has just gone down. What was his excuse? did he lose the script or what?

Looks like he's going the De Niro route of comfortable familiarity in repeated nuances.

It’s fun to watch, but too short at the same time...

This is not an awful movie, as many critics would have you believe. The villain is extremely miscast and pretty boring, some of the acting can be embarassingly poor and the plot could probably be much better. However, the arc between Hardy's character and Venom himself is intriguing and very entertaining. Almost to the point where the other stuff is forgettable. It's not what it should have been, but it's entertaining nonetheless.

There is so many ways to watch this rubbish for free!!!

All my friends who are true fans of marvel and action films loved it. Great film and doesn’t deserve the hate it’s getting because everyone seems to be split about it

Me and my wife really quite enjoyed this movie! Sat night, Chinese take away, pop corn and sound up loud! Is what it is! Not the best but far from the worst and Tom Hardy is great as always! Good Sat night flick! NOT for kiddies tho! 🕷

Its 45 mins before you realise how Hes getting a superpower. 45 mins later its still not clear what power he has other than a schizophrenic voice. Then the films over. Poor

Another top title I purchase from Amazon prime (Amazon £9.99) instead of iTunes seems to be worse on here.

Film great though!

Worth a watch

As a fan of Venom since the 90s, it’s great to see him on the screen in all his glory.

This film was definitely made with fans in mind, with no regard of anyone else including Sony shareholders, it brought back so many memories I remember from the comics, it was done right and WE appreciate that.

The film basically set up the start of Eddie and Venom’s ‘symbiotic’ bond (no more no less) which was portrayed amazingly. If you wanted a mind numbing blockbuster like transformers, this film won’t be for you.

Marvel fans, especially Venom comic fans will feel at home.

Really poor film. Terrible acting by everyone including the over rated Hardy. The best thing in this film is the CGI

Don’t waste your money buy a boring film!!!

This film is definitely much better than the critics would have led you to believe but not quite as amazing as some of the user reviews state.

Starts pretty slow and does waste a lot of its supporting cast with Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate and Riz Ahmed not having a lot to do for the entire movie.

However it does kick into gear and Tom Hardy, whose performance seems strange at first, does come into his own once he’s infected with venom.

Last hour flew by and definitely left me looking forward to the next one. 3.5/5 so I’ve got got 3 stars (it’s definitely not a 4 star movie).

Tom Hardy does a great job with the dual character and this is a movie I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn’t go in with any preconceptions of the film (although I knew the Venom character of old), this proved to be a refreshing change with some nice quirks. It’s well worth a watch and I’m really pleased to hear that another is in the pipeline.

Entertaining enough, but had way more potential. They should’ve either gone full comedy like dead pool, or fully serious. Instead it’s weirdly in the middle.

The only decent thing was Tom Hardy's acting. The storyline was poor and the humour was terrible and so was the silly voice of Venom. There was so much more that could have been done with this film.

Movie is very good. But storyline is a little slow but exciting and keeps you hooked until the end

Probably the first hero movie of some sort I watched without falling asleep.

Love this film can wait to buy it from I-tunes and on DVD
