Best documentary I have seen. Such a powerful story about a company that was ahead of its time. The learnings from failure in this film are inspirational. Beautifully produced. Everyone needs to see this!

Who knew so many of the things we take for granted were invented so long ago, all by one small group of people. The film looks at a group of tech rock stars and their failed attempt at delivering a product ahead of its time. But their collective failure blossoms into individual successes that ultimately benefit us all. Amazing movie, a must watch for anybody that owns a smartphone.

Saw it in the cinema in San Francisco in November 2018 at SFFILM Doc Fest, and there was a Q&A afterwards with Matt & Sarah (Directors) and quite a lot of the General Magic staff/founders. Wow! I was totally blown away by the film, amazing insight into the startup that failed, but it's founders went on to create the tech we use everyday and carry around in our pockets. This film is a must watch, to download, and to learn from !

The documentary I’ve ever seen on how the world as we know it and tech we use, emojis we use, macs we worship, iPhones we use, websites like eBay came to be. One team at general magic saw the future, failed... then won. Epic!
