Great idea, I appreciate it has been done before as a comic. The period covered was however too brief and the backdrop to the premise not explored in any meaningful way. As such you get a skeleton bad superman story that could have been so much more. As people have said the scares are perhaps a little formulaic but in context of the film work....sadly this has come out at about the same time as 'The Boys' which for me it just doesnt compete with.

I really enjoyed this movie I loved the fact that they did a movie of a different version of superman like what if he is not good but just pure evil. This film definitely had some good jump scares and is very gory. I thought the acting was on point and that they picked the cast well. This film definitely keeps you on edge and gripped throughout. The only downside to it was the fact the movie was too short I mean it was less than 90 mins so it just felt a bit rushed!

The film plot is simple yet entertaining a couple longing to become parents are given a gift from beyond the stars. At first it appears their prayers have been answered until the first stages of puberty begin. And an awakening takes place in which you shall witness the terrifying abilities of the boys alter ego BrightBurn.

They’ve gotta do a sequel👍

Well done The H Collective for this 4K HDR release. As distributors you have a duty to put out the best copy of a film you can.

This is a fantastic movie. I had no expectations and knew nothing other than it was a dark Soups origin type story. I thought it was a really fascinating exploration of the ‘power corrupts’ but within a child who has not yet fully developed right and wrong when they can just have it anyway.

Just a disgusting movie tbh, I wouldn’t recommend it.

It almost feels like if internet trolls got to make a movie + the way the movie treat women is pretty bad.

It was a bit slow to start with and I was worried it was going to stay that way as it was only 90 minutes but it got so much better, could’ve been a bit longer so it wasn’t all rushed in the 2nd half but by the end I really liked it. Will definitely watch it again when it’s released digitally.

I was looking forward to this snice the first time I saw the first trailer on the Gram and I got to say I was totally entertained. This film is savage and I really enjoyed the acting I only wish it was longer in order to avoid having to cramming so much in a short time.
