Saw this when it first came out, the CGI is strange and lazy at some points and the whole film as a whole is incredibly trippy- however I enjoyed the story itself and the music is really good, it’s more of a weird experience than just a film, once you get used to the creepy lookin cat people you do tend to enjoy the movie-

From beginning to end the audience really doesn’t have any idea what’s going on. It’s just music and bad CGI scattered all over the place. I actually considered leaving in the first 10 minutes. I haven’t seen the play so that might be a reason that nothing made sense but the film shouldn’t only be made for people that have seen it. Please don’t believe the good reviews. This is a horrible movie.

This is a fantastic film! I was going to pre-order at £9.99, but was disappointed as this gem deserves to be purchased at a higher price, so I was delighted when the price was revised at £13.99!! I will be buying this now as well as creating many more additional iTunes accounts so I can by again and again. And I have to mentions James Corden! What’s a credit he is to the British film and TV industry. Watch out USA, he will soon be the highest paid actor in the world and many academy / bafta awards await him! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I like musicals but this didn’t click with me. The original was great but this was average at best and when i thought it couldn’t get any worse.......James chuffin Cordon......... I heard his annoying voice and had to turn the film off. He’s everywhere, Cats, Peter Rabbit, his talk show.......he should of stopped after Gavin & Stacey. Even Chris Moyles smashed it in the west end.

Save yourself the pain, go watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Its much better and even Christopher Biggins is in it and is excellent!

The reviews were definitely set up to destroy this even before it had been seen,. So don’t believe them,. They aren’t helpful, mdd as me up your own mind ., it’s better than the show... it.’s CATS the Musical at the end of the day.

My first thing to say here is this: don’t believe the reviews that tell you this is the worst thing ever to happen to cinema. Don’t believe them when they say the CGI is appalling, and the costumes look like they used to be the carpeting in an old people’s retirement home in the 1980s.

Don’t believe them when they say the songs are dreadful, the melodies uninspiring and the lyrics beyond all limits of lazy self indulgent ersatz artistic onanism. Don’t believe them when they say that the director doesn’t seem to have any sense of what size actual cats are. Don’t even believe that the whole concept of writing a musical based around TS Eliot’s drug induced, god awful stream of consciousness poetry is a terrible idea, much less the idea of making it into a film that resembles the most unusually anodyne acid trip anyone’s ever suffered. Don’t believe the reviews.

Because it is so, SO much worse than that.

Whether you like the film or not it must be said that this film will forever echo throughout cinema history as one of the biggest financial and creative disasters of all time. This will be talked about, spoofed and parodied for many years to come. So for that alone it’s worth watching. Just don’t pay for it hahahahaha wouldn’t smashford.

Great movie

This gets a bad rep. If you’ve seen the stage musical, this is a very faithful, also quirky, adaptation. It’s very addictive and much better on a second viewing. The songs in the second half are fantastic.

I am a cats the musical lover, after seeing all the negative reviews I was apprehensive about going to see it... but I absolutely loved it!! Everything I hoped for and more!!

Worst movie ever made

Then is was reviewed by someone who doesn’t have a frickin’ clue about Cats the musical. Sadly it became ‘Internet trendy’ to jump on the bandwagon and completely rip this film apart. The truth is, the CGI has issues, but the music is exactly the same as the stage show. Don’t like the original Cats? Then stay away from this and zip it.

Watching the movie was just as odd as when I saw it in the theatre - and I loved it. I did not have a clue what I was watching when I saw the live production. The story made no sense to me at all, but after watching the movie - I get it. CGI cats took some time to adjust to, but that was no different to seeing humans in cat costumes; behaving like cats.

Not a perfect movie by far, but I left the cinema humming the soundtrack, so couldn’t be all that bad.

Loved it and was captivated from beginning to end.

Nowhere near what I expected

Rebel Wilson removes her skin in this film. She does this twice. Later on, she eats screaming mice and cockroaches with human faces, while Judi Dench reveals a human hand beneath her cat paw and Idris Elba screams ‘MILK’. All of these things happen in this film without even being questioned. It has been confirmed that the special effects were completed the night before the film was sent to be released in cinemas. Make of this what you will.

Has to be the worst film I’ve ever seen

I loved the film as much as the original stage musical. Some clever new twists in the film help the storyline and the possibilities available to film that can't be done on stage are used very well. Of course, it's nearly all singing with just a little dialogue, but the diction in the songs is really clear and easy to follow. If you don't already know the musical, don't expect a complicated plot – it's mainly about the brilliant music of Andrew Lloyd-Webber and the brilliant poetry of T.S. Elliot. This film version takes these to a new level.

Worst movie ever

Saw it last night! Fantastic. I thou roughly enjoyed it. The singing was fantastic and the casting was perfect for each character. Can not fault it and I think it’s being unfairly criticised.

Best film this year I love this film I want to go back and watch all over again amazing film 😍🎶🎬🎥❤️

When the trailer came out I was like omg Taylor Swift is in it I love her when I watched it I loved her song macavity and beautiful ghosts she wrote she’s amazing

So Exited!the 1998 movie was great, the musicals are great so I hope THIS will be great!
