Description

No 4k - no Atmos - Can’t imagine watching this in just HD!

Why are all these people complaining about no 4K the specs change up until release date, wait until release date then see, then complain - generally if this has just had a USA 4K release it tends to bode well the U.K. will too

This may be my favorite war film of all time! It’s superb. From the acting, soundtrack and cinematography you can’t fault this movie. Right from the beginning this movie grabs you and holds you throughout. As the movie progresses you know where you started, where you’ve been and where your headed.
The style of this movie being a one shot style works so well and wouldn’t want it any other way.
If your a film lover regardless of what genre you need to watch this!

Brilliant performances from all the cast, especially the two main characters. Brilliant Direction but what makes this film is the cinematography - the best I have seen in years. At 2 hours this is a perfect length to get a powerful point across about how dangerous it was for runners getting messages to and from locations. Sam Mendes you have produced a quality film.

From start to finish you get reeled in. Terrific acting from the main 2 guys and the cinematography is amazing. You feel like you’re there at points. In the past, WW1 films have used lots of late 20 / early 30 somethings, this feels a lot more realistic.

Watched this on release day. It’s the type of film that’s crept up on me with advertising and now the golden globes.... I can honestly say in terms of film it’s one of the best Iv ever watched and Iv watched tons of movies over the years. The direction is epic!!

I’ve just seen this film and it’s touched me in every way. I would have to go as far as saying this is now on my personal top 10 of best films ever and it’s the best war film I’ve seen. The cinematography is jaw drop. If you only see one film this year make it 1917 and if you can see it in IMAX all the better!
