The sheer originality of the QP1 cannot really be repeated but this servicable sequel at least manages to capture and even expand on some its background. But it all too quickly descends into repetitive and frankly formulaic scenes that quickly grow tiresome. Slight spolier here!!! One of the final scenes seemed to me to be borrowed straight out of 1993's Jurassic Park! QP2 got me thinking about Netflix's Bird Box, which in my view, is the better film (the one where Sandra Bullock plays the Emily Blunt part). There are many similarities between the two films and indeed with QP1, but the opening scenes in BB and QP2 are very similar and the former did a better job IMO. So, quite apart from the luminously beautiful Ms Blunt who is always a pleasure to watch and the brilliant acting of the kids who reprised their roles so well, I found the whole film rather underwhelming and frankly, quite tedious! Oh and even I could have done with subtitles earlier on in the film, where I was guessing what the main characters were saying to each other. Who knows, maybe that was deliberate?

I loved Quiet Place 1 and movie 2 didn't disappoint at all. Great movie. Well worth the Apple Rental price.

However... note to 'APPLE iTunes' (Movies)... it's about time iTunes got their Movie audio sorted out. They've been limiting viewers to substandard sound quality for far too long. Watching this on my Mac laptop in iTunes and the sound quality is terrible and my iTunes Equaliser doesn't work on iTunes Movies for some reason (in HD and/or Standard). It always prevents me from enjoying movies 100%.

Start to finish this movie keeps up the tension and suspense. It’s all go and is a great weekend movie. It does have english subtitles so you can see what the sign language means. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

We get the ‘no subtitles’ issue ! Not really a reason for a poor review as that is a format issue. Emily Blunt and other cast are great but this is more worthy of an Apple TV or Amazon, Netflix series rather than a feature film in my opinion.

I thought this was a good movie, and a good sequel to the first film. It provides some background to the first film as well as moving the story forward. I found it hard to understand what some of the characters were saying, so the subtiles on here will be useful. People have been calling out the lack of English subtiles in other reviews but it seems they have been added now.

This film has an actress that is genuinely deaf and plays the role of a deaf girl in this film. She was chosen because she is an excellent actress, and because they wanted her character to be completely authentic.

Surely the missing English CC subtitles must be a mistake? Please rectify the mistake and add the missing English CC subtitles as soon as possible.

The first film has both the AD audio description and English CC subtitles. This film only has he AD audio description.

Great film but not having English subs ruined it a bit for us, we’re hard of hearing and our TV sound isn’t great. it seems bizarre to include subs for so many languages but not for English. Also, ironic considering the nature of the film…

Why are there no subtitles?? iTunes USA have the same film with English subtitles why do we not have them? This is unfair on people who are deaf and hard of hearing! Please add subtitles so I can buy this film.

First of all, for a film which advocates a strong deaf lead, you would think audiences who are deaf could access subtitles in English. I don’t know who’s to fault on that one, but it should be fixed immediately.

Aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not too long, about the same length give or take a few minutes, as the last film. Prior to watching this film, I re-watched the previous one, and I enjoyed it better the second time around, so two nights watching these two films…. Definitely worth the investment of time.

I loved the first movie and it still makes me jump, but this was very predictable every step of the way. Wish I had waited to rent and hadn’t bought this, not worth it.

Why no subtitles? Given one of the main characters is deaf, I’m sure the irony isn’t lost that there are no subtitles as standard for this film.

Another great world building and suspenseful thriller! Loved the sound staging, cast and story from start to finish.

The sequel follows on from the first film which follows on from the tv show the us office and tied in with the devil wears Prada franchise. There’s quiet scenes and a peaky blinder grew a beard. Spoiler alert, the toy robot from first film does not return. If you liked the original this is much of the same with jumps etc. The girl on the train is the lead in this film. I liked it. Went to the cinema for this one, one of the best franchises. As good as the first one. Loved every second of tension. A must see!!! Couldn’t wait for it to be released on streaming

Why no subtitles??, both of my parents were looking forward to this movie and rely heavily on them, they will not be able to watch it, terrible really that you haven’t catered for this in these modern times, especially on a brand new release. 5 stars for the movie but 0 stars on this matter.

Genuinely scary but the storyline, plot and tense atmospheric energy simply pull you in to a world of survival horror. It is superbly acted and the cinematography is excellent.

I went to see this movie in Cineworld Renfrew Street in 4DX and it was a good movie. 👍🏻

I would have happily rented this for £15.99 but no option. I’m not going back to the cinema. I don’t want to hear about the big screen and shared experience. The last thing I want is to sit there with a mask on or some guy noisily chewing or smelling. We have all moved on. Let me rent it. Your loss ££ Paramount.
