Price, the old business model of vhs, laser disc, dvd, and Blu-ray is gone! If I buy it and don’t have a physical source I expect it to be in best condition! Note if you have a 1080 upscaled on your 4k tv then you will not know difference it’s called compression! All streaming suffers! Only best is disc or server local source ! The previous version bought should have been upgraded simple… best source buy the disc! FYI….. have you noticed people are returning to disc!?!?! Why available and quality

I already own this film on iTunes, I love it, and it’s really difficult to leave a low-star review but I can’t think of any other way of trying to get iTunes attention - why are we being asked to pay for an upgrade from HD to 4K at the same price - as if the original film was completely re-made and re-released? This is just a change in the format of the video!

Can you please add the Dolby Atmos soundtrack that was re-recorded for this film when it was given the remastered 4K Dolby Vision upgrade. A fantastic film and a Luc Besson masterpiece that is in my Sci-Fi top 10 list. If you love Sci-Fi & Fantasy, then this film should be in your film collection.

Great film and looks great in 4K, but sadly at about 1 hr 20 mins into the film, the footage gets repeated without the audio synching, putting the audio out of synch for the rest of the film. Apple refunded me the cost of the film, but it’s a real shame.

From 1 hour, 19 minutes and 38 seconds the sound de-syncs from the video. Nothing fixes it.

So just found out we’re in Tier 4. Bought this, to cheer us up. Advertised as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. There is no Atmos. Also, the audio drops out of sync during the conversation with Zorg & Mr Shadow. Just discovered this is a known issue, reported by many since September. Why hasn’t this been corrected?

Disappointed

Be warned before buying this movie, the sound goes out of sync around the 1H 19M mark for about 2 minutes. This scene skips about one second backwards whilst the sound doesn't.

Excellent picture quality is let down by the absence of any subtitles. Apple should be ashamed of themselves for not making subtitles available on all the movies they sell.

Apple you are a con bought lots of movies/tv/music and music videos and you take them off after a few years then try to sell them again Very poor service

The audio jumps out of sync at one point, this is a know issue. No idea if Apple have fixed it yet as they refunded me.

Will buy again adjust my review accordingly once I know it’s been fixed.

I already have the film on DVD. I hoped this would be a better 4K version with better sound. Exactly wrong. The soundtrack has been changed (for much the worse in my opinion) and some of the scenes are presented differently.

The soundtrack is embarrassingly poor with some lip-sync issues! Unforgivable. This is sad because it is an absolutely cracking film in its first incarnation. 2 stars for poor quality.

An old movie which isn’t that good to begin with, and one which carries a hefty price tag of £9.99. A lot of the other studios have automatically upgraded the existing purchases to include 4K without demanding an additional purchase. I mean, if studios want the fans to pay for the movies as they are upgraded then they will need to switch gear because in a few years there will be a new format which will supersede 4K. Should I then pay an additional sum to watch the same movie again? Or should I stop buying and watch them on a subscription channel? After all subscription channels will catch up to 4K soon.

Amazing movie but can’t recommend purchasing via Apple. I bought this when it was only available in HD and now it’s in 4K Apple say they won’t upgrade my version to 4K but on their website they advise they will do that.

How can anyone rate this film at less than 5 stars??

As per title, it’s in 4k so stop crying about it and if it’s such an issue invest in a 4k Blu ray player, buy the film and no more issues to be had with iTunes!

I'm so happy this film is finally available on digital, it's one of the best Sci fi films and in 4k. Hopefully some iTunes extras get added later.

Wondering if this is the same as the previous release. The version I have is PG while this one is a 12.

Looks like this is a double dip, so instead of updating the original release like every other movie and apples “free update to 4K” they have released this and are charging £10 for it too 😒

Picture quality is absolutely stunning however it’s let down by the flat audio.

Blue-ray edition comes with Atmos, not sure why this is omitted from the digital one.

I guess if I want to have perfect audio I’ll be watching the HD edition with Dolby MA.

No subtitles again from Studio Canal. No extras either. Minimum effort for iTunes once again.

About this 6 years ago I bought this on iTunes.

By default, Apple TV expects you to buy the film a second time as it’s a new release.

However, if you go back though your iTunes purchases and select your original purchase and start the film playing ... this will make it available in ‘Up Next’ for any of your Apple devices.

At least you get to keep your old purchase.

Love this movie, I was blown away when I watched it on its original release. Now I have it in my pocket or on my 4K TV! 👍🏻

I already own this but now it’s on sale again as a new 4K HDR purchase instead of upgrading the original. Can’t recommend as will probably be pulled again at some point just to be resold.

For all the people complaining about quality before title was even released. IT IS 4K. If your not getting that quality check your connection cause if not fast enough you will only get HD.

Although I note same person who complain about everything with same comments and I hope he reads this. Either stop complaining about everything or go away and buy the physical copy since all you do is complain about what iTunes offers

To the hasty negative reviews: be patient. There is no point complaining when it hasn’t even been released yet. Not that is has, a few points:

Delays: just be patient. It was coming and now it’s here. Preorder was HD only, and now we have 4K Dolby Vision. Good things are worth the wait!

Lack of 4K you say: yes, we were made to believe that it’s HD only. You have to understand that in situations like these, although I’m sure Apple was aiming for the 4K, it’s better to underpromise and overdeliver. That’s exactly what happened here. Now enjoy it and have fun!

One of my all time top favourites finally in the UK store. I’m going to cry.

I can’t have enough of this movie. I lost count how many times I watched it and I still didn’t have enough. I don’t think you can, to be honest.

Sci-fi as it should be, goofy all the way through, but not those cheap jokes movies do these days. Tasteful, great acting, great story, and a phenomenal execution of all the ideas.

I don’t want to spoil anything; you just have to watch it yourself. Definitely something to be added to your bucket list. This classic will never get old.

Shame no dolby atmos as on the bluray

Great movie and the 4K transfer is impressive but where’s the Atmos soundtrack that came with the released UHD Disk?

Got tired of it being put back two days at a time. Amazon have had it for a week.
