Description
Kern County Deputy Sheriff Joe “Deke” Deacon (Washington) is sent to Los Angeles for what should have been a quick evidence‐gathering assignment. Instead, he becomes embroiled in the search for a serial killer who is terrorizing the city. Leading the hunt, L.A. Sheriff Department Sergeant JimBaxter (Malik), impressed with Deke’s cop instincts, unofficially engages his help. But as they track the killer, Baxter is unaware that the investigation is dredging up echoes of Deke’s past, uncovering disturbing secrets that could threaten more than his case.

I was excited to watch this, the cast and the premise behind it. The film opens as a conventional thriller, however from then it fails to gain any momentum. This film is more about the characters, bland as they are, and not so much about solving the case. Spoiler... there is no conclusion to the film. Visually beautiful (hence the two starts) but apart from that I disaster.

Slow, dreary and the plot is all over the place. All three of the “academy award winners” put in rather pedestrian performances. Why on earth did Denzel sign up for this terrible movie? I guess he must have a tax bill to pay or he needs his kitchen replaced?

I think £15.99 is a bargain price for a rental. I haven’t watched the film but I’ve given it 5 stars because I think £15.99 is a great price. I’m sure this will be really helpful to all those wanting some insight into what the film is like and a balanced critique.

I’m not the most wealthiest man ..
But I ain’t bad off either . Charging 16 pounds doesn’t sit right with me at all . To rent for 2 days . The film has got mediocre reviews which makes it even more irritating . Stop the greed

Don’t pay £15.99 for rental.....
The movie has wonderful looks for sure of course but about 30mins in, it just doesn’t get going. Its like the keys were lost for the journey to take place...
To have Jared, Remi and Denzel all in one movie - one would expect a tighter story line but that was nowhere to be seen. It was a limp script, acting, the plot would have served better for David Fincher where this movie copies scene upon scene of Se7en to build the climax.....
The cinematography looks stunning but the minute the actors open their mouthes - the movie is a train ready to be derailed
