Description
Sibling astronomers discover Martians are threatening to attack Earth, but no one believes them until Martians land and nearly destroy all of New York City. As the siblings try to make it out of the city with their families, they discover the Martians have no immunity against the diseases of Earth, and must now figure out how to infect the invading army to eradicate the aliens before all of Earth is destroyed first.

Terrible even for fans of WotW

I watched half an hour and really really tried to appreciate it as a low budget indie movie but it’s just terrible, and I couldn’t watch any more. The first half an hour is mostly spent watching people looking puzzled at computer screens and talking about scientific crap. When you do see the aliens craft, the cg isn’t actually too bad at all. And the protagonist actors really try hard to make the most of their parts. But the main army guy looks ill - really not sure where they dragged him from. And the script and editing is atrocious. Avoid.

This film is actually called alien conquest, but due to the fact but anyone can now use the HG Wells title the makers of this film have now changed it to war of the worlds. If you want to see a trailer for it then look on YouTube. And you will be disappointed.
