This is the Worst Marvel Cinematic Universe movie ever.

This movie should be forgotten - much like the story and it’s impact on the MCU. There are things that happen in this movie that are so large, they wouldn’t be missed by the other films.. but they are because this bombed.

It’s just so near perfect in every way. It’s stunning, it’s emotional and it’s something entirely new for marvel. A true 10/10.

This could of been so much better if Zack Snyder had directed the film. I’m a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe journey but this was painful to watch. I was hoping the Hulk would rock up and sing a ballad to liven things up!

I hope the next phase of this new Marvel journey adds chilli to the writing and characters.

It great film if you got Disney + or rent it.

Ignore the haters, this is a stunning movie which yes is told differently to usual marvel films, but it works!

Really poorly written, cast was ok but the film was so boring. Even the VFX people couldn’t be bothered for the most of it.

Wait till this comes on TV don’t waste your money.

Totally enjoyed and agree that pacing is a bit slow at times but the ambition for telling an epic story is there and not formulated like other MCU movies, one of the best since doctor strange so not sure what the haters are talking about.

I really enjoy most Marvel films, hopefully, this isn’t a sign of the direction they are going.

Stellar cast, but too many. Story didn’t flow, and was quite boring at times. The action was pretty good when there was some, but it was too little, too late.

I may watch again, see if it was as bad as I have reviewed on here, and I’ll change my review if justified, but it will not be anytime soon.

I’m being generous by giving it 3 stars, 2 cos it was average and 3 cos it went on so long! Really quite boring! Too many ‘super’ heroes and too much exposition, which took up half the movie. It was quite schmaltzy too, really not a Marvel movie, it lacked the pizazz! Change the channel, the credits are probably more interesting!

First writing a review. This is the worst superhero I’ve seen to date. So disappointed! Don’t bother watching.

Far the best MCU, great cast, great script if a little predictable, but other than that spot on

I rarely review but this moved me to because it is sooooooooooooo awful. Bad script, terrible acting. It just smelt of Marvel and various actors cashing in. Wooden, mind-numbing, cheesy I could go on, but why waste any more time on this absolute drivel!

I love Marvel movies and this was ok. Just ok. Not often Marvel get things wrong but I just couldn’t get into this. Had some good bits of humour and the effects were great but just didn’t really hit the mark.

I’m not sure why there’s so many haters for this movie. I really enjoyed it

Cannot believe how disappointing this movie was. You stick with it because it is a Marvel movie and you want it to take off and be a spectacle, but sadly no! Then you realise they have tried to tick every box possible in this woke fest film. Don’t bother with the next one unless it is radically different!

Watched on D+ as it has imax version. The worst film on mcu so far. It is just dull. The trademark humour is barely there. It is full of slow looks at scenery. Oddly introverted and reflective. None of the snappy dialogue and action. Hugely disappointed.

You either love it or you hate it, as is the case with true art.

Long, meandering, dull, weak plot, average script. Overall, disappointing.

I am still struggling to find the right words to describe this baffling and broken creation. It should have been amazing. Famous cast, tons of cash to pay for amazing effects etc. A highly rated director….

And yet it just feels so wrong. So…stunted in emotional reach, so disconnected from any relatable narrative, so self-aware but not in a good way, so…just a collection of images and words, like a perfume advert for superheroes that goes on a really long time and makes no sense at all.

It also felt almost like the team was just having fun with Marvel/Disney’s vast resources without the requirement that anything coherent or likeable came out the other side for the viewer. Almost like a bunch of screen tests among friends.

Still can’t exactly pin this down, but in short: it’s unwatchable.

PS one other thought was that Jolie’s powerful aura of madness that she always carries with her just freaked everyone out, crew and cast, and knocked everyone totally off their game? But who knows?

I can watch this with a Disney+ subscription at half the price. Just saying.

Contrary to many reviews, I really liked this, the best MCU film since endgame. A fresh, new feel to it, a new direction, which in my opinion is what was needed. I found Black widow boring and more of the same, whereas this gave us something completely new and bravo to Marvel for gambling with this.

The film might take you two views to really see the depth to it, but it’s worth persevering with it. I personally loved it and look forward to the next one

Honestly can’t stand the hate for this movie, one of my favourites. Bought it the day it was released on iTunes. Sure the plot is stretched out and rushed towards the end but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it.

First of I’d just like to sway well done to the Director of this proper super hero film where the hero’s actually have powers and not just making stuff out of iron and vibranium. This is definitely by far a good and decent marvel film but I just like to say about the other reviews I don’t think that you understand how a first movie works for the MCU now I know Shang-Chi legend of the ten rings was a success but it’s not all about the action it’s about discovering how they get their powers. In the first captain America that was a bit slow to start of with but that was just discovering his true powers and it was the same with Tony stark. But you must realise that when their second movies came out they had loads of action so I guess the director just wanted to do the same it’s not all about the action it’s about discovering their powers and origin. Now I watched this on Disney + and I thought it was good it’s something different and new can’t wait to see them in the new avengers film I seriously hope they get a longer screen time then captain marvel did because they were by far different to what I growed can’t wait to see what you directors come with next really excited for phase 5 “AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!!!!”.

Probably one of the worst Marvel movies I have seen to date. I actually fell asleep during the movie due it being so boring.

At first couldn’t keep up at the beginning of the film. Too much information all at once (narration and action together). Character development spotty. Better with some characters than others. Throughout the film it kept reminding of the Charlton Heston film “The Ten Commandments” (1956). In short this is Marvel meets the Bible. Rent it when you can. Hoping the second is better.

Too politically correct cast and boring.

Gets a lot of hate due to people impatience and not liking that it’s not the same as all the other MCU films.

Eternals does a great job telling a story of a group so close they’re practically family, and that people are never perfect.

Not a great movie & not a bad movie, just average. There are a lot of silly things that happen and the story feels unnecessarily long

Don’t understand the hate. Great film. Really enjoyed it, sounded and looked incredible and was action packed with a great cast.

Big Marvel fan & love all the movies up to End Game but this even beats Black Widow for pointless badly acted & poorly written junk that even overly CGIing cannot help

Can’t believe this was as hyped as it was, two stars might be generous.

Worst MCU film yet.

Nobody went to see this movie so it’s obvious this chart position is bought and is fake. Let’s end this madness and start being honest with audiences and give people movies they want to see rather than being preached at by Hollywood.

Got to say this is not the best marvel movie as its to many charactors with not enought charactor development and felt introduction of them was rushed for a fair amount to be killed off quickly but still watchable and alot better than some phase 1 movies. Hope they do better with the sequel even if it will include Harry Styles

It looks nice, shame about the plot and dialogue.

A new era starts with this movie and we all have to be patient about it because time is needed for it to grow. Plenty of information came up and answered some of our questions regarding the Eternals and their purpose. Eternals was very different from what I expected but it was also interesting so, I am expecting the way that will continue it and what else it's going to present to us. The direction which was made by Chloé Zhao was good and she presented very well the main story behind Eternals but of course there is more information that needs to be presented. The interpretations of Gemma Chan who played as Sersi, Barry Keoghan who played as Druig, Lauren Ridloff who played as Makkari and Richard Madden who played as Icarus were very good. In conclusion, I have to say that Eternals is a nice movie as a start of a new era but we expect more from it in the future!
