My fav movie. 100% recommend to eney one I don’t like barbies. the film is so fun and you can never get board of it and my friends dad worked two weeks on the Ken song there is no we’re anuf stars to rate it. Watched it in a movie theatre and there was just as much boys then girls and eney1 at eney age will love it. You should try and after that each the greatest show man

I've been looking forward to watching this movie all year. It's honestly not as good as I was expecting. I'm sure I could find a lot of depth and meaning in this film if I wanted to sit and analyse it, but I wanted something fun and nostalgic and this wasn't really it. If anything, the beginning reminded me of how much I loved playing with dolls as a kid. I dunno, it feels like a political statement rather than a fun time.

Absolutely abysmal. Boring, poor acting, and absolutely zero point or meaning what so ever. Save your money and the time you’ll never get back!

Good film with catchy music but very mature for younger viewers great girl power

Not all men are like this! What an anti-man move. Political correctness taken too far and insulting to men.

This could have been a disaster, a soul-less toy cash in, but it’s anything but. Greta Gerwig, a mumblecore director of all things has created a wonderfully inventive satire which very amusingly skewers how patriarchal the world still is. Ryan Gosling really steals the show here as Ken, he’s a joy to watch, as is of course Margot Robbie as stereotypical Barbie.

I also love how this has really wound up the right wing head bangers and damaged their evidently fragile male egos. Satire and comedy it seems are wasted on such people. I’m male btw.

The only ding I have against this is that “I’m just Ken” aside the music was pretty weak.

the barbie movie has become a lightning rod for men who have never introspected about their relationship to masculinity or patriarchy. it's been widely panned as "anti-man." but it isn't at all! the movie sympathetically shows how patriarchy ultimately hurts men's mental health, stifles their creativity, ruins their relationships, and inhibits them from self-actualizing. the point of barbie is not that ken is bad, or that men are bad, or that masculinity is bad. while showing how patriarchy hurts women, the movie also explicitly argues that men deserve better than to derive their worth from rigid, nonsensical performances of masculinity. the movie is not anti-men, it's anti-patriarchy - and it goes great lengths to make that distinction clear. It is a masterpiece and should be watched and enjoyed by all!

Went to cinema to see this, wanted to leave after 20mins. the worst movie iv ever paid to see, if it wasn't my daughters birthday present i honestly would have asked for a refund! the biggest steaming pile of a movie!

A bland film with some nice story insights, an easy family watch

The comedy is not that funny, and it’s full of singing, ok for a rainy day, but it’s average at best,I watched it and thought meh!, shame there’s been such a lack of good movies this year, or this wouldn’t of been so over rated.

Demonising men isn’t progress, numbskull

Was fully looking forward to this - rave reviews and a bit of fun. After watching it, can’t understand why some people are calling this ‘exceptional’.

A very simplistic plot, which feels really familiar, and basically the message is “MEN BAD. WOMEN GOOD”. Scenes don’t gel, and the interaction between Ken and Barbie is painful at times. Nothing flows. Even Will Ferrell is wasted in this - he doesn’t say or do anything even remotely amusing.

A case of the trailer being far better.

Great film, Gosling is a genius and Margot Robbie is delightful as ever. Michael Cena is also amazing as Alan.

Excellently written if a little over the top sometimes with its moral meaning. Highly recommended though but I’d wait and pay £13.99 not £19.99 like they still seem to be doing since COVID. It was ok when it films were being released at exactly the same time but months after being released and still charging £19.99 to buy is money grabbing of the highest order.

It’s a cool enough movie but Pee Wee’s Big Adventure (Tim Burton’s debut) told exactly this story back in 1985:

Anyway, check out Pee Wee, it’s a great movie.

I love seeing all these little men leaving 1 star because they’re mortally offended by progress. It means the movie is done perfectly!

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling deliver stellar performances.

This just shows the power of internet hype. This film was beyond stupid! Badly acted, terrible story, and the end made my mouth drop in how ridiculous it was. Don’t believe the hype….. this is garbage….. and there is talk of Oscar nominations😖😵‍💫🙀 the world is coming to an end!

It’s good to see a film not jumping on the latest bandwagon with trends nowadays or “inclusiveness” with accepting people’s identity or women’s rights. (I don’t have a problem with either but I hate to see it used by companies to try to seem more inclusive)

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

The film (to me) wasn’t necessarily about Barbie coming back to Barbie-land to see the Ken’s running the place and that somehow wasn’t right.

It’s more about finding who you are instead of being told who you are… it shows the difference between Ken’s running the place because they have been ignored and neglected by the Barbies so it’s a quick grab for power because they realise they are more than that… the Ken’s realised that their day doesn’t revolve around barbie’s anymore… they realised that they don’t need to feel good about themselves when Barbie says “hi” to them. The Ken’s realised that they didn’t know what they wanted but the just wanted to be heard and have a voice.

Barbie realised how the real world was showing some sexism and wanted to change that however it felt impossible… upon returning to Ken-land, she returned in a sensitive state realising that Earth wasn’t how she imagined and couldn’t see the Ken’s point of view until the end of the film.

Barbie-land was taken back by the Barbies however they had a few Ken’s in power working as a team.

So the film is about extremes and both woman and men fighting for that extreme until the end they find a balance.

Why make a depressing film when a majority of the audience were kids coming with parents in the cinema. From the first 30 minutes Barbie behaves like she’s suicidal. Didn’t they think about what age rating they were giving this film?

Literally felt like this movie was set to brainwash the audience in multiple scenes.

This is the worst film ever not worth it

Plot: Boys are brilliant at boy stuff. Girls are also good at boy stuff but in addition they do girly stuff well too. Enjoy.
