Everything about this film to me is quality. This brings the very best bits of the next generation and adds even more to turn it into a powerful thought provoking film, with amazing special effects, a powerful plot and gorgeous music.
Some of the acting in this is superb and Patrick Stewart and Alfre Woodard to mention a few Star Trek at its very best.

I'd say...Borgy

I absolutely love this film. I say this for almost every review but I do!
The Borg Queen is just so cool and I like this quote: "You're all astronauts...on some kind of star trek." It's just brilliant cause it mentions the name of the movie!! I think the fx were amazing and the sound was good to. But I think the storyline was the best bit for me. It was so good that I was gaping when we were 10 minutes in!!
Seriously if you haven't seen this movie you haven't got a LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best TNG movie ever

This movie is so awesome, and the second best of the Star Trek films (of course Wrath of Khan is a little bit better). The Borg are dead creepy (and NOT rip offs of the Cybermem). Also a lot more violent and sweary than other Trek movies. Great acting and action. Finally a good TNG film.

Awesome

This is the best Star Trek film yet! I only gave it 4 stars cos I don't get why it's called 'First Contact' - they've met the Borg before haven't they? Or is it because of the time travel? Is it just me or is this whole thing very confusing?

Well... It's Star Treck.

Ok I saw the film, and all I see is a sci-fi film like all the rest. I'm not as keen as all the treckys here and I give it a 4/5. Yes, yes, I know I put 5 stars but since most of the people who like this stuff are hard core nerds/geeks and frighten me. And since I don't have any sort of cloaking device I'm not going to risk it. Live long and...

The best next generation movie.

This film is successful for the right reasons :The most threatening Star Trek villains, incredible set pieces, acting for a sci-fi movie is of a high standard, blistering pace and a high profile Jerry Goldsmith score. Highly recommended.

I love this film

A must see for any sci fi fan! One of the very best of the star trek movies. It is a movie with two stories that merge together. One scary one funny. Acting plot and special effects are all fab! Even the soundtrack is good.

Excellent

The best of the Trek films so far. Good story and very good performances in a action packed & intelligent sci-fi thriller. Also quite creepy in places. The Borg really do make a sinister enemy.

Cool movie

Finally, Star Trek comes to the UK iTunes Store!
This is definitely one of the best, if not THE best, Star Trek movie. It's got everything: action, romance, comedy, emotion etc. It even features cameos by various characters like Reg Barclay, the EMH from "Star Trek Voyager" and Ethan Phillips who normally played Neelix on "Star Trek Voyager". There's even an awesome appearance by the U.S.S. Defiant from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" as it finally gets to kick some Borg behind!
This movie also marked the first appearance of the all-new Sovereign-Class Enterprise 1701-E. Sleek, maneuverable, tough and definitely the coolest-looking starship ever!
As for the film itself, I was amazed at the flawless picture and sound quality! I've seen this movie countless times since it's release in 1996 (not 2001 as it states above!), in the cinema, on TV, on VHS and on DVD. But this is like watching it totally new again! The picture seems brighter and the colours look far deeper and more vivid. If this is how all the Star Trek movies look like on iTunes, I might just download the rest of them.
Anyway, I really hope the UK iTunes gets all the Star Trek TV series episodes soon (as well as "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate Atlantis"). We're long overdue to get them all.

Assimilate this!

Easily the best 'Next Generation' movie, this features the winning combination of time travel and Next Gen's most memorable villains, the "Dawn of the Dead meets The Terminator" aliens the Borg. This is a muscular action-thriller with an emotional performance by Patrick Stewart as the vengeful Picard. While the crew mount a desperate losing fight against the Borg stalking the Enterprise corridors, Riker and party try to convince an excellent James "LA Confidential/Babe" Cromwell to build a rocketship in Montana. Alice Krige is superb as the silkily glacial Borg Queen. Along with "The Wrath of Khan", this is the finest of the Trek movie series.
