One of my fav films its a good film(even though it is different than the great three classic alien films,Alien,Aliens and Alien 3).It is quite quick the film about an hour and a half but it is way more better than AVP 2 and is quite a fun film to watch.

I've seen AVP about three times now, and, although I can agree with most fans that the movie wasn't great, it wasn't the worst that could have come out of a crossover franchise. This movie had no original cast, with the exception of Lance Henriksen reprising his role as Mr Weyland, but the CGI was pretty great, and the alien and predator effects were stunning. My major issues were mainly the cast, history and location, and in some ways the ending, but except for that, it was pretty decent.

I really enjoyed this movie. I have been a fan of both alien & predator franchises for a while and it was great to finally put both together. There are a lot of intense and brutal scenes in the film. You would expect that though. The fight scenes are amazing and the acting is very convincing, the script could have been better, and the beginning of the film is a very slow start but as soon it gets into the action there isn't a dull moment.

Alien: brilliant, aliens: brilliant, predator: amazing, predator 2: eh... Decent, alien3: good, aliens resurrection: good and predators: very good. Also AVPR: is great, Alien vs predator: very, very good. It is boring in parts, not much parts but parts. Overall avp is a good film but the sequel is better. I hope there is an AVP3.

Very little gets done in this movie to say the least. The plot was not bad but not great. I was hopping for some of the gory kills of predator but there's none of that and when alien an preadtor actually fight it looks like something of power rangers.

If you are going to buy this and havnt seen it before. I WARN YOU! I would pay 6.99 for Alien or predator but even though this is came out ages after. It's not great. Not terrible but not great. I didnt enjoy it as there was only 1 survivor and the end begins where the film started leading onto the sequel which is just....

I'm 9/2 I've seen it I hav completed the game .My favourite scene is wen it is a litaral AVP battle. I've seen it 4 times.AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the alien quadrilogy ; amazing

the predator trilogy ; amazing, 2nds a bit of a let down but still good

so with these two amazing sets of films how could they go wrong?

somehow they did, the idea is amazing and can work but 20th century fox forgot the originals and got too caught up in the action scences and didnt add enough suspence which is kinda the point of the alien and predator films.

After watching Freddy vs Jason, i was left thinking these sort of 'mashup' movies where scrapings from the bottom of the barrell, a desperate attempt to revive a dying franchise, which, in Freddy vs Jason's case, is very true. However, with Alien vs Predator it was truly brilliant, not only did they bring together two iconic horror figures, they did it with style too, creating a brilliant story which comes together perfectly! Acting and action are all on par with this movie which will leave you wanting more.

So definitely rent it! or better yet, buy it for the collection!

Takes a massive dump on the memory of Alien, Aliens and Predator

For anyone new to either the alien or predator franchise, don't let this film conclude your verdict predecessors. Alien/s and Predator are Sci-Fi classics, and when you compare those films to this one, you can see what went wrong.

My biggest issue with the avp franchise is that it's biased towards the Predators, but that's only because I favour the alien franchise.

This film really lacks in the loveable and memorable characters the original films gave us, making each death more of a relief than a shock.

The acting wasn't bad but it equally wasn't great.

Both of the iconic monsters each have their reputation spoiled in this film.

The Predators are shown as vain dictators who only want humans to worship them, and the Aliens seem to be there just to be cannon fodder.

Why did I rate this 3 stars then?

Ok, the real reason is simply because I have a soft spot for the alien and predator franchises. This film is not a recommendation. If you want a good Sci-Fi film, check out the franchises before they were mashed into this film (you may want to give Predator 2 a miss though)

i know its slightly too late to be saying this but i think this is a fantastic film, which unlike the second one has a decent storyline. I think Paul Anderson is something of a genius, putting two great fictional beings into an arena as it were. Oh and by the way, i think its Surak who gave a review, clash of the titans is completely unrelated to AVP.

What was the great about the Alien and Predator movies? It was the gore, the scares, the pacing and the atmosphere. Sadly this movie has none of those. Like many other reboots and sequels of old 80s and 90s movies (like Die Hard) they are trying to reach out to a younger audience thus having to sanitise every aspect to reach the 12 year olds who have no idea who any of these characters are and alienating the audience that remember these movies from years ago. The plot is all over the place, the predators here look like power ranger monsters rather than the quiet, solitary hunter. The xenomorphs are turned into a joke, the humans are bland and forgettable and there is nothing special about the effects in this movie. Well at least Hollywood didn't make a sequel even worse than this one... Never mind. In short, avoid this movie like the plague.

Of all films this is the best!! When it comes to predators and aliens I get a tingle down my spine and watch all the trailers!! This film is a great original from a great 2 saga move (aliens & predator) I highly recommend this film to any1 who likes classics and horror films (also watch predator if you like horror)hope you like it!!

A potentially fun venture ruined by a putrid script, some awfully misjudged plot twists and a lack of atmosphere and consistent enjoyment. It has its moments, a few good fight set-pieces and a perfectly sparse setting but it is all undone by fundamental filmmaking flaws and isn't fun enough to eclipse them.

Lacking more gore and classic scenes and could have been longer but not a bad film so I give it 3 stars...

It is an average film but the lack of horrific moments ( this is a 15 and the alien and predator series are 18) which shocks me because this could of been an amazing film especially with the aliens and predators. Could and should of been better, but it wasn't bad.

I love this movie and ive got it on extreme edition but they should of made it longer than one hour tirty. FOX release an even more extended version that has more gore, action and voilence! Make it three hours twenty five! And rate it 18

Omg!! I didn't like the alien films and I hated the predator films! But putting these together made one of the best horrorscifi films in history!! I love it!! You have to see this!

I think this was a good film. But some ppl didn't like the predator being the hero. The don't think that the predators all have diffrent personalitys.like one that hates humans & only wants to kill them,and one that wants to help us instead of hunting us.

It's true I'm 10 yrs old and I've never seen this film but I've watched awsome clips on you tube and when I'm old enough I will 100%buy this movie cheers for making movies like these I owe u guys alot!

I heard alot about this film, then finaly got to watch it, i then suddenly loved it.

The origonal alien films were amazing along with the pretator films, this was defiately a great idea for a film i hope anyone who watches this film enjoys it

I also purchaced the AvP game and its amazing, the only thing i would say is that the search for online matches is abit slow. I recomend buying the game if u are a fan.

Love the alien films and the predator films, and putting them together was a really rockin idea. The horror and the suspense of the aliens, mixed with the stealth, and cunning brutallity of the predator is a very good combo. 5\5 I also really loved how they merged the storyline with the original AVP Comics. The CGI was impressive and the action was really awesome.

I wouldn't describe this movie as a horror movie. It certainly hasn't reached the benchmark James Cameron set with the terrifying and powerful Aliens, or Arnold Shwarzenegger's (thats how you spell it right?) Predator but it certainly beats most movies of this genre. It is less of a horror film because of the amount of action, where instead it should have been concentrated on suspense and frightnening scenes.

The only letbacks are that that violence (as most would agree) is rather dissapointing for a Predator film and most definately an Alien film. I expected screaming, gore, blood everywhere, like in the original franchises, including chestbursting scenes that left nothing to the imagination, and Predators pullin out their victim's spine, crushing their skull, skinning them alive then hanging them from a branch, but all I got was 12+ rated violence instead of the glossy violence I needed. If this film had less swearing it would most probably be a 12. And that stupid girl who tries to mimmick Ripley, and who ALWAYS, no matter how many mortal wounds have been inflicted, or how high she ice-climbs up a 900ft frozen waterfall, has her perfect bronze/golden makeup just right. Whaaaa?!!!?!!??!?!?

Just pretend that the stupid girl isn't the lead character, and pretend that the violence scenes are much more graphic than they really are, and you'll really enjoy this movie!!!

Its my fav movie in horror
