£7.99 for a film this old when you can buy from eBay at less than a quid. Who is in charge of pricing at iTunes should be sacked, hung drawn and quartered, like we used to do in England before the U.S of A was even discovered by a Spaniard. iTunes do not listen to their loyal customers.

I love this movie but the sound levels are so poor my laptop fan drowns it out what is being said :(

This movie is eye-popping and to good to be true action! The story has a good story line! One of the best films I have ever seen!

I think £9.99 for a HD version of an excellent film is reasonable. A film that feels ever more pertinent with recent booms of mass-communication and social networking.

The matrix is such a fantastic film, the price here is just to high to by in SD, and it doesn't let you buy in HD. What are you thinking Apple?!

The original and the best. Bends the mind but still understandable love every second. Oh and for Vivian it's nice to see you have great movie ratings, you complain above all things something so meaningless. Get a life.

It's really great. Sure it costs £7 but it's damn well worth it, it's one of those movies you can watch over and over again

The matrix is by far the best film of all time. Anyone who doesn't like it is wrong.

This is probably one of the best sci fi films I've ever seen keanu reeves laurence fishbourne and Hugo weaving were all first class as there roles and the story blew my mind until I saw this film I didn't question reality but know Im not sure what's going on

This is one of the most iconic/best films of the last decade. I would love to have it on my ipod but I refuse to pay such ridiculous prices on principle. Rather than selling hardly any copies at a ridiculously expensive 7 pounds, why not half the price and sell loads and loads ?!!!

This film is amazing and don't be put off by bad reviews, they're about the price of the film and the way iTunes rips of UK users, not to do with the quality of the film.

I don't mind paying £7 for this film because it's a good film but I do agree you could pick this up in shops for atleast half the price.

Online companies such as iTunes complain about illegal downloading, but they could easily counteract that by offering songs/movies for cheaper, it's not like they're not getting enough money as it is

Film Is Brill, I don't understand People who write reviews, I think the price is ok for digital downloads. I'm disabled so I can't get out of the house much without help, gettng back to the film. If you enjoy sci-fi, you will enjoy this one

I don't really have anything new to add to these reviews but feel there should be customer solidarity because apple really, really need to adjust their prices. I love the Matrix, it's one of my favourite films of the past decade (my star rating reflects this but there is another issue here). At 7 quid a film it's just ridiculous (new films I can understand but not films that are 10, 20, 30 years old), as another customer mentioned there is no packaging and no extras, so why the rip off? It just shows lack of consideration to apple customers and continuing greed from international companies. Come on apple, serve your customers, after all we're the people who got you where you are today...no customers, no company.

This is a great trilogy, and if you cant be bothered paying seven pounds for it then dont, and dont moan about it. Give the movie stars for the quality, not the price of the movie. Brilliant movie anyway.

"The Matrix" is a great film, great action great fighting. But Sadly occasionly the music ruins it a bit. I'v never liked sci fi music witch is why i liked i, robot it had no sci fi music. But if you r a fan of people jumping between buildings etc. this is a great film.

An awesome movie, which still looks fresh and feels epic almost ten years after it was made. It's well-priced here too. For the complainers that have seen fit to focus on the cost and not the quality, it really isn't expensive on iTunes. Everyone has choice. Go find your 'cheap' copy elsewhere if you wish and have a nice life, and allow the rest of us choose how we want to own our digital media.

why would ANYONE pay 7quid for a film that's almost 10 years old and is now 3quid from shops (of which you can get the physical object including special features etc).. u'd be better off buying the boxset if u're fan... atleast you don't have to worry about the film disappearing if anything happens to your computer or account.
