I find it absurd when films get described as 'hilarious' when there's nothing funny in it. I laughed half-heartedly twice. The main character is as dull as hell - he shows no sign of being interesting/attractive enough to coax beautiful women to be drawn to him. He's a dull nerd, Russell Brand plays Russell Brand - what else is there to say? It's partly redeemed by its ending, but it's mostly puerile and tedious.

I love it

Charmless and unfunny. Don't be tempted to watch this movie - you have better things to do with your time.

Like many after seeing the film advertised I really wanted to see it, however I was let down drastically! The film has such a childish and predictable storyline it's untrue. I'm all for humour but this film had none of it, I spent most of it cringing rather than laughing. I wouldn't spend £6.99 on this and I am so glad I borrowed the film and didn't waste my money on it!

I think this film is extremely funny and not a bad storyline either. I've read some previous reviews on here and am not ashamed 2 say that Russell Brand is class in this film and I do have an IQ above 100 and still manage to find it funny, maybe because I have that thing called a sense of humour!! Anyhow, good easy to watch film, worth a watch.

First of all having Russell Brand in the film totally totally ruins it. Other than that, it's a strange film, the acting is okay, not a great film to be honest, and yeah should of got someone else to play the part rather than russell brand, then it might have been good. ta.

This is a great film, and I was shocked to see the overall rating. It was amazing, me and my girlfriend loved it in the cinema, and I plan to buy it soon. It's definately the best film i've seen this year, and one of the best comedies i've ever seen. 5 stars from me.

There is no doubt about it, this is one of the funniest films i have EVER seen. And i believe anybody who has seen it will think the same. Russell Brand is a comic genius in this and looks as though he isn't even trying to be. For his debut film he is brilliant, but the whole cast make this a comedy classic and would recommend it to anyone. If you like stupid humor, then this is the film for you. Jason Segal is fantastic as the lead and i wouldn't be surprised to see him in many movies to come. The story line is brilliant, but with the twists and turns it has you cannot help but cry with laughter when watching this. Definitely a 5* all the way....

I watched this film with all my friends and it was fantastic! Unfortunatly, it is definatly only teenage humour; my parents thought it was abismal. However if you love feel-good comedies the film keeps you entertained from the beginning to the end, without a dull moment. I am not a great fan of Russel Brand, but he was fantastic in this movie! A definate must-see!

This is a great comedy. I saw it at a packed cinema and everyone really enjoyed it. Russel Brand is superb as Aldous Snow. Kristin Bell looks absolutely gorgeous, as does Mila Kunis. Cringe at Jason Segel's full frontal shots, be warned there are a lot of them. There are loads of great characters, if you liked Knocked Up you'll like this.

This film was absolutly diabolical and is hardly worth being sorted as a comedy, I went to the cinema with some friends one of whom convinced us to part with are money and see this film. I think this summises the films sucess we went in and saw that only 1 day after release that only the five of us were in the cinema. It took at least an hour though before we saw any signs of comedy that approached laugh out loud, and i would even compare this film to the Weather man another hellish film. I suppose if you were a soppy girl or guy who had just lost the love of their life maybe the film would be alright. But you should not really have to talk in a film to tolerate it.

How can this get a one star!?!?! This is one of the funniest films and Russel Brand is amazing in it! Personally thought the plot was pretty good, though all the other people who've reviewed this are probably in their 40s with nothing better to do with their lives than watch films aimed at an age range about 20 years younger than them so that they can pretend they're still young =]

I was looking forward to watching this movie based on the trailers and the fact its from the producers of 'Superbad', so to say i was disappointed is an understatement . In total i probably laughed a maximum of 5 times. Worth renting it(when available) but a waste of money buying it.
