Much better than the Tim Burton version. Even though I liked Burton’s take on Batman, I just like the realistic, gritty version Nolan has made. Christian Bale plays a great Bruce Wayne and Batman. I love this reboot very much.

Sorry, but I couldn’t watch this. The dialogue was so quiet that I had to crank the volume right up to hear it. Which made the music and fight sounds deafeningly loud. After 30 minutes of turning the volume up and down I gave up.

I don’t know whether this is a technical problem with this version of the film, or whether the film makers are treating their audience like idiots. Anyway, I’ll stick with Adam West from now on...

if your a superhero fan or just want to be entertained then look no further. This take on the batman is darker and more realisitic than any other before it. Highly Recommended . :)

A fantastic film and origin story as to how batman came to be. Brilliant story highlighting Bruce Wayne's heroic battle against corruption in Gotham city. A masterpiece of a movie through the eyes of Christopher Nolan.

Awesome film

Poor film making, but apparently the big action scenes are enough to make teenage boys give this five stars, time and time again. At least the dark knight and the dark knight rises had plots.

Batman Begins was, and still is, one of the best films I have ever seen. The actors do themselves, their reputations, and the legend that is Batman, Justice. I'm not sure why this film is being compared to it's sequel, The Dark Knight, which is a phenomenal film, but not the focus of the reviews on this page. Regardless of whether or not The Dark Knight is a better film or not, this film still obviously gets 5 stars because of its brilliant story, awesome visuals and great performances (especially from Bale, Cain and Neeson, but we have come to expect no less from either of them, especially the latter two). All in all, if you want a good movie, get it.

My only memories of Batman being re-runs of the 70's series, I expected little from Batman Begins. It was amazing. The actors were brilliant, especially Gary Oldman as Gordon, the action was realistic and, best of all the story was an exciting combination of Long Halloween and Batman year One. In short, watch this!

I have to say its very good and the story line is very believable but if your going to buy a batman film buy the dark knight because it's just better in so many different ways but this film Is still really good.

This is the best film i have ever seen. Amazing actors, amazing effects. This film is definitely by far the best batman film, And Christian Bale is the best Batman so far.

This is a truly wonderful reimagining of the Batman legend. Taking it's inspiration from the original version of the source material, this is a Dark knight who truly strikes fear into the underbelly of Gotham City. Bob Kane always envisiged Batman as a vigilante who used the symbol of his own fears as his weapon, and Chris Nolan has successfully translated this to celluloid. Gotham itself is a character in it's own right in this movie, and the feeling of desperation and hoplesness created by the crimelords that run the city is perfectly contested by the epic heroism of Christian Bale in the lead role. He manages to strike a fine balance between superhero and a man who is searching for his true purpose in a dangerous world. The stellar supporting cast and superlative action sequences are the icing on the cake.

Sorry but this one is nowhere near as good as The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker is amazing! Buy That instead!

It's not a sequel, it's not a prequel, it truly is a new beginning for the Caped Crusader. A stellar cast, breathtaking action scenes and a top-notch realistic tone tops it all off. Sit back and witness the rebirth of Batman.

This film is a great and solid batman film representing the character well, it is also has a quite a modern and realistic style which adds to the experience. The film also has legs of its own as it does not borrow everything from the comics (just enough)

I'm afraid to say this is the worst superhereo movie ever made (yes even the earlier batman films are better than this!) When I heard they were creating a new Batman film I was extremely please. Previous Batman films have been very poor with bad story lines, characters, action seqeunces etc. But I was I shock when i watched this movie. The storyline makes no sense what do ever, the characters are lame and poorly played, the fight sequences are boring and stupid, the bad guy (scarecrow) is only in it for 5 mins at the very end of the film. It is a truely terrible movie. If you want to watch a good Batman film then get Dark Knight, possibly the best superhereo movie out there. They've mangaged to make the worst (Batman Begins) and the best (Dark Knight).

Watching this will make you want to watch the dark knight, then that will make you want them to make a batman 3!

If it weren't for its amazing sequel this would be the greatest superhero film ever made. The film that started it all... a Batman film but with a more realistic, gritty and original approach. If your a fan of Batman and you haven't seen this you are going to LOVE every minute. It is smart, innovative, awe-inspiring and for a bat-fan, iconic. Christopher Nolan focuses on the origin and story behind a man standing against justice rather than the quirky early attempts. Its just a shame that this isn't as popular as The Dark Knight because it deserves the glory just as much. If your new and you've only just seen TDK, watch this purely because it catapulted this reivnention of a hero to great heights. TDK has the rise of The Clown Prince Of Crime and the escallation that was inevitable. Batman Begins has the creation of Batman and the lengths of which he had to go in order to combat injustice in a city that did not know justice. Watch this, it is a classic.
