This film is awful - truly awful. Over the top, totally unfunny, wastes the talents of the actors, and is much less frightening than Keith Lemon The Movie. Kids might like it - if you're an adult, steer well clear.

This would have been better made as a cartoon - anyone remember that fab cartoon the Drac Pack? (there's an eighties upbringing for you). The thing is, the premise isn't bad for a blockbuster, so the fact this hasn't become a franchise tells you everything you need to know about how really bad it is.

Is it only ever going to be available to rent?

Even though the acting is slightly corny in places, and some SFX could be improved (such as Mr. Hyde) this is not a bad film!

In 1187, evil Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh) loses Frankenstein's Monster in a bid to bring his flying swarm of demon children to life.

One year later, Gabriel Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman), Europe's most wanted man and reknowned monster hunter, works for a secret society in the Vatican. He is summoned to Transylvania along with bumbling friar Carl (David Wenham) to protect the last of the Valerious family, Anna (Kate Beckinsale), from falling into purgatory after swearing to kill Dracula. It is found that Frankenstein's Monster is actually STILL ALIVE, and Dracula is after him to complete his destructive goal.

It's quite funny, has action, and horror, and a hi-power 17th century machine-gun crossbow, (and minigun), and is a great film!

i watched this film and I thought it was rather hilarious don't you know what rather. 

Graphics is very good the aspect of the whole movie is fantastic well worth paying for the role of Hugh jackman ties it all together really and it's a movie I would recommend it's a movie you can watch over and over and have the same edge you did when you first saw it !! :)

not the best vampire movie out there .. not a big fan of Hugh :P did not really enjoy the story line .. Got bored half way threw it .. The visual effects where not half bad though. I will only recommend it if you like monsters and vampires that sort of thing If you are looking for a good vampire movie go look at interview with a vampire

Absolutley amazing film, great acting, fantastic effects, brilliant action and a well-composed score make this a must-see!

a fantastic tongue in cheek comedy horror.hugh jackman brings a dry whit and a polished performance. that breaths life into what in fairness is an old story.kate beckinsale also brings a sexy well tuned talented performance.the cinematics and c.g.i and the overall look works.there are many eye catching moments in this film and therfore a film you will watch again.this film dose what it says on the tin.

Saw this at a friends house not long ago, a great film to introduce kids to this genre

I saw this movie when I was about twelve. I loved it, the action and setting and even the -if limited- horror. But I saw the film again when I was 15 and there is an aspect of cornyness to it that I hadn't taken in three years earlier. When I saw that, I mean it is an acceptable sort of 'Indiana Jones' style cornyness that becomes part of the style of the movie and is therefore acceptible, but it is an aspect that other critics here fail to touch on that I thought you should no. Otherwise, well worth seeing!

although i like this film this comment has nothing to do with it. seen as though this is the closest film i could fid related to underworld i thought that this would be best. would you plz put underworld on itunes because it is on the us store so why not put it on this one please apple put it on

Along with The Dark Knight and Burn After Reading this is my favourite film, I love Hugh Jackman as an actor as I grew as a massive X-Men fan and watching him in the X- Men movies he was amazing, and ever since getting Dracula the novel for Christmas, I’m loving the old monster movies and this film has them all in one. I loved the film so much; I’m in the process of buying the game! Kate Beckinsale is brilliant as the Gypsy Princess. Although I bought it on DVD (for a cheaper price) I would recommend BUYING this film for your iPod as once you see it once you will want to see it again and again!

i absolutly love this film, if you love fantasy, adventure and tim burton-esque back drops then you have to get this film.at the very least rent it! the 3 vampire brides are sexy, and scary, the acting is very good, and story lines are very frankenstein crossed with hellboy.
