Classic B Movie but trailer gives too much away

Tongue in cheek, great fun and effect are realistic enough. No CG which makes this more entertaining.
Trust me you'll like it - jjust don't watch the trailer as there are too many spoilers.

Old Skool

Great film from childhood years. Light hearted with some good scenes. Good story line and acting not too bad. 'Graboid' visual effects are a bit lame.

Much more than a monster movie

This is an epic movie it's got the right mix of family, thiller and comedic stance to make this fun for everyone. Kevin bacon and fred ward make an awsome comedic couple. and the storyline is enough to keep you enthralled for hours to come.

Brilliant

Was expecting a scary horror movie, and though it did make me jump it was mixed in with a good dose of comedy!
I loved it, highly recommended!

Classic B movie!

Really excellent film. A real nod to to the monster films of the 50's. Thoroughly enjoyable with a hefty sense of humour thrown in and hasn't dated at all. Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward are perfect as the well meaning country hicks.
This classic was followed by 2 equally poor sequels that are best avoided. Then came a equally bad prequel. There was also a short lived TV series that never made it to the UK.
Ignore these and and go for the fab original.

It's cool!

The idea is stupid. The characters are ridiculous. The monsters are hilarious.
But... There is something about it. It doesn't take itself seriously it is light-hearted and funny, overall a very easy watch. And come on watch the film and agree: Burt is damn cool!

Much better than the trailer makes out.

This film is well worth watching. It has its tense moments, but is fairly light hearted and is at most a 'mild' horror. The characters are funny and likable, and while the acting and effects might not win any awards, they are more than passable. The plot is fairly standard, but isn't overly predictable and moves along at a good pace, mixing mild comedy, tense mystery and action effectively. Overall, one of my favourite films.
There's plenty of screaming and a few deaths, but it is fairly tame for a 15 by today's standards.
Just don't watch the sequels. They're awful.
