Description

No children. No future. No hope. In the year 2027, eighteen years since the last baby was born, disillusioned Theo (Clive Owen) becomes an unlikely champion of the human race when he is asked by his former lover (Julianne Moore) to escort a young pregnant woman out of the country as quickly as possible. In a thrilling race against time, Theo will risk everything to deliver the miracle the whole world has been waiting for. Co-starring Michael Caine, filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron's Children of Men "Lifts you to the rafters, transporting you with the greatness of its filmmaking. The action is swift, ferocious and spectacularly choreographed." (The New York Times)

A true hidden gem which is not nearly popular enough for what it is. It's dystopian yet rooted in a very plausible future. Loved it.

I want to buy movies from iTunes i really do, but every time the price for the download is more expensive than a physical blu ray disc i will post a 1 star review.
Downloading should be less expensive not more!

Didn’t work for me, the story line initially was good but got worse and less plausible as the film progressed. It’s a shame because it seemed like it was going to be ok. Cinematography is good throughout though.

Maybe I was expecting too much from what was purported as a 'sci-fi thriller' but it was poorly acted and dull. Rent it then make your mind up.

I thought this movie was mind numbingly tedious and boring. The acting is poor, the story unbelievable, and it most importantly is really boring. The only good actor in the movie, Julianne Moore, dies in the beginning. Mike Cain is rubbish as always. I have not been able to watch it to the end. I have no clue why this movie rated so highly here and on the IMDB.

I bought this movie months ago with a lot of other ex-rental films and never got around to watching it as I did not expect much from it. Big mistake. What a well worked, well written, brilliantly acted and fantastically shot movie. Its great to see such dramatic film making coming out of the UK as this realm is usually dominated by the US. The UK influence gives this thriller a real softness and believability often lost in its glossy American cousins.
Great film easily worth double the asking price.

Such an Amazing Film.

If you havnt yet watched children of men it is a truely amazing peice of cinematography. From the characters who are beleivable to the locations it is one of those films that left me stunned when i left the cinema.
Just thought provoking excellence from start to finish every character was perfect every scene was perfect it is one of those films that should have won oscar but was probbly overshaddowed by some big money block buster.
Great film i recomend everyone watch it and be prepared for a thought provoking cinematographic experience.
