Heartbreaking, funny moments, scares and all sorts of drama in this wonderful film that Tom Hanks and Gary Sinise have every right o be proud of! Going through an autistic man's life during the many events of that time certain creates a bond between character and audiences. Tom Hanks plays the marvellous Forrest Gump and makes those with disabilities feel as though they can achieve anything if they work hard for it, and they honestly can. Forrest gains the sympathy and love of all viewers because of the way he thinks and the way he takes action with no hesitation, as well as his true love for his best friend. It made audiences laugh and cry, because of the pain and absolutely daring moments he goes through. Like when he is in the Vietnam War to when he meets the president to when he gets a shrimp fishing boat. He meets many people throughout his time, and does many things that no one would have thought he would have done, making us anxious and completely absorbed in his journey. Gary Sinise's performance was amazing too, as he always is, and once again, he holds a grip to his character unlike many actors as he holds a true portrayal and honestly does depict a perfect side line side kick for Mr Gump as Lt. Taylor. The many honours he goes through just makes you think how wonderful and bright such an unlikely person would be, and how much someone can achieve despite all obstacles. I must watch if you love the actors, and a must watch if you believe in long, inspiring journeys.
