not bad for a Saturday night film, glad I didn't spend my money on the HD version but worth a laugh!

As a big Sam Raimi fan, this film made me lose sleep a few nights lol

Shock factor is 10/10 and understandably, Raimi uses his usual comedy effects to disguise the scary parts.

Highly recommended!

Watched this film late at night, and wasn't scared one bit, a few bits made you jump but that was it. I didn't realise cgi was this bad in 2009! Wish I had watched paranormal activity or insidious instead!!

Just funny most of the time!

The story is ok but the acting and graphics at some parts are awful don't get excited over this film

The poor reviews obviously didn't know what they were letting themselves in for. First and foremost this horror film is a comedy.

From beginning to end it is a classic Raimi film. If you want to draw comparisons you should look no further than his masterpiece Evil Dead 2.

I laughed from beginning to end at the poor jokes, ham acting and ridiculous plot line, but that's the whole point.

It's tongue in cheek. Brilliant, leave your brain at the door entertainment!

To be a really good movie but the acting was almost wooden and the storyline could have been improved, particularly the end scene. The goat played his part very well!

What is the point of non-stop jump scares throughout the whole film? And you really don't care about the main characters either and 💩 acting! Would reccomend if u want nothing but jump scares...👎👎

I started watching this film thinking it had really good potential, and I was right. The plot was well structured and I loved how the story unravelled. The ending, however, was a major disappointment for me. *Spoiler alert* It was in her back pocket the entire time? Kinda left me thinking, wow that was a waste of time. On the whole, it's a par from me.

Why all the bad reviews? I thought it was really good- good acting- good plot- made me jump a few times and was generally freaky.

I only gived this film 3 stars for how funny it was, i mean whats scary about sucking on a old ladys gaw?! 1 star for scaryness!

I watched this film after hearing amazing reviews from friends. Think i may have watched a different movie...

The premise is great, however it certainly does not live up to what it could be. Apparently we're supposed to be scared by some elderly woman gumming a girl's face? Hm don't see it myself! It would be good if it was branded "horror comedy" but as a legitimate horror it definitely did not work for me or my partner.

This film is funny. If you're really into horrors I wouldn't waste my time buying this. The ending is terrible and at 1 point there is a talking goat. Do I have to say more? A demon dances on a table? It's not scary at all!

I'm sorry, but this film was absolutely appalling and can only be described as a comedy rather than a horror. Pathetic film.

Everyone's opinion counts but in my personal opinion (and all my mates who watched it with me) we would say this movie was actually pretty shocking. Shame really as the storyline sets it up to be original, never before plot!! However, it didn't work, it wasn't funny and it wasn't scary and it wasn't gruesome and it wasn't very well made. Poor acting, shocking effects and graphics, storyline started very early unlike other horrors/thrillers but once you saw where it was going, the rest of the film dragged!! Considering it was a 2010 film, I was expecting better! Ud think it was a blast from the past with the crappy effects like when the old women gets squished!! 

the ending is kinda revealed at the beginning, and the ending was really predictable. but otherwise a really effective scary movie

Horror at it's best

I really enjoyed this film! At parts I laughed but other parts were pretty scary especially in hd on a big flat screen :/.

It's rubbish , no story line all it is about is people jumping out at u every 5 minutes , wat a waste advise = not worth bying if u want a film with a real story line

This film is awesome!! If you like Sam Raimi & the Evil Dead movies, then you'll love this. It's not to be taken seriously & totally pays out on all the horror cliches. My boyfriend & I were sitting near the front of the cinema, simultaneously laughing & squealing together. Hilarious!!

This film is definately a 9/10 rating for me. If you don't like old lady's throwing up maggots on you then i suggest you don't watch it. It's chilling, realistic and fab. Very poppy though. Like it makes you jump a lot and will make your heart go for a bit but then it's not really scary as in making you scream. I would suggest renting first if it ever does come or watching it somewhere else first to see if you like it. In my opinion it's a very good movie to watch with a couple of mates. Some scenes will just make you laugh though.

Loved it!!! It's scary at most times but I thought it was great as it was also funny.

this film had some hope and promise of being a good film but yet it was tedious and boring the supposed scary bits werent scary at all and just made me laugh all in all it wasjust very confussing and very slow with no pace of anything happening this is one that everyone should avoid

Baffles me as to why people claim it's 'not scary' it's suppose to be more of a comedy with a few jumps in anyway and anyone with at least one brain cell could figure that out. I love the movie, think it's genius!!

This film is pretty awsome, i dont think its as amazin as every1 says and its deffinatly not the scarriest film of the decade but it is very thrilling and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. and it has a good twist at the end i wuld deffinatly recomend as it is deffinatly in my top 10 favourite horror films :D

Wasn't scared in the slightest... Especially when the goat starts talking and the man does an irish jig whilst floating in the air. It might be original but its not scary its just funny. If you want to be scared don't watch this!

Not one of the scariest films around, I would class this more of a thriller, but an amazing story line.

There is a good message, twist and storyline. It's not exactly a 'scary' film but it's gripping.

But the main character starts to become annoying after a while because she remains looking so attractive and calm with all this going on, if I was her I'd be a mess.

But hey, that's Hollywood for you…

Painful watch, bad effects. Underlying story could have padded the screenplay out so much more, however this was poorly executed and leaves you staring at the screen in utter disbelief at how bad this is.

You'd get more of a scare waking up next to Vanessa Feltz than you would watching this.

Save your money and try Paranormal Activity instead if want to be scared.

I'm glad I didn't go to the cinema and waste my money on it, I watched it on sky instead. You shouldn't spend your money on this film. If you want a scare this is not the movie for you because it's not at all scary. It really bugs me on how the 'monsters' are so CG'ed they don't look at all real. But it is unintentionally funny ;S

It isn't one bit scary, I was 13 when I watched this. I laughed. Rubbish horror comedy factor good though

Not the best film out there by far, incredibly cheesy with some awful moments, BUT it wins the award for jumpiest film of the year. turn the lights off, don't take too seriously and thoroughly expect to finish it feeling violated but slightly confused.

Its sort of scary, in the vita where the old lady is there, but I almost cried laughing so much when the goat was like "you tricked me you black hearted whooooore" lol :L
