A film for crackers

The subject and approach to this film is terribly patronising. I think that if the tone of the story was not quite so self-congratulatory, and Sandra Bullock's character to self-righteous it might not come across as being so racist in an Uncle Tom kind of way. Otherwise it is truly surprising that this film was even made in this day and age, and that Bullock received an Oscar nomination.

Overall a good film, nice story and good acting

I enjoyed The Blind Side as a story, it was heartwarming and sweet. The film itself was a bit cliched and predictable but the acting was good although not sure Oscar-worthy. I would recommend this film if you want an "easy" watch with some smiles and perhaps even a few tears along the way.

Why over exaggerating ???

before I rented this movie , I had read many comments about it and what I read by people's comments were all amazing film , touching and the best film ever etc. However I'm kinda disappointed with what I expected , I'm not saying this movie is rubbish , nor this film is amazing , quality , top one either . I can't understand why do people over exaggerating this film just because of the reason they paid £ 3.99 ? Because this film is just OK not Top one or stuff .

I fantastic true story, superbly written with some fantastic acting. I have always been interested in American Football which is what interested me in the film but this was so inspiring it took that interest to a whole new level. A great piece of entrainment even for those with no interest in football and if you love that aspect of it then i strong recommend the book or audio CD that this film is based on. Michael Oher might just be my favourite player now even if he doesn't play for the New York Giants...

Films can often tend towards mostly inhabiting one genre. They're a comedy or drama or thriller. This film, however, is a beautiful mix of genres that counter balance one another to make a moving and inspirational film that's also light, funny and entertaining. It was a real breathe of fresh air and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
