Description
Major Dutch Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is the leader of a seasoned military rescue unit looking for allies captured by guerrillas in the Latin American jungle. This is seriously one of the best films ever created and the effects survived the rest of time a lot better than Ridley Scott’s Alien which has dated but this could come out today the effects are so good.

Wow! This new transfer is very clean but NOT the butchered DNR ultimate hunter edition transfer. I bet this is more detailed on the 4K UHD Blu Ray (as physical media has a bigger file uncompressed). Thisnis still worth the upgrade or purchase. Predator 2 and Predators also has a huge but positive improvment! Buy them!

After the DNR mess that was the ultimate hunter edition Blu Ray, I am finally relieved that fox didn’t mess with the grain on this 4K edition . The faces don’t look stretched out with Vaseline applied anymore .
Only complain is, no extras .

Best. Film. Ever. Strong lead role "Dutch" and good surrounding cast. So many good one liners by Schwarzenegger, setting and sound track are great. The special effects still look awesome today including the hunter. Love it.

Great. Great. Great. Still one of the best ever. So many cool one liners. Even the special effects have stood the test of time. The music is a fantastic iconic mix of classical and rock n roll , and for a while we even forget we are watching a alien sci fi movie till the predator comes into play. Both predator 2 and predators steal all the best lines and soundtrack but just don't deliver the same great movie. The camera work is fantastic and every scene has it's own special moments. Fab.

It's true Arnold is not a great actor, but, this film gets the best out of him - lots of action, cool weapons, a decent enough plot and great special effects. The Predator is filmed cleverly, not giving away too much too early and truly is a worthy opponent to the mercenaries. One of my top 10 films of all time, with Aliens being number 1.
